| 1 | Adding-Point Strategy for Reduced-Order Hypersonic Aerothermodynamics Modeling Based on Fuzzy Clustering显示文摘Reduced order models-ROMs) based on the snapshots on the CFD high-fidelity simulations have been paid great attention recently due to their capability of capturing the features of the complex geometries and flow configurations. To improve the efficiency and precision of the ROMs, it is indispensable to add extra sampling points to the initial snapshots, since the number of sampling points to achieve an adequately accurate ROM is generally unknown in prior, but a large number of initial sampling points reduces the parsimony of the ROMs. A fuzzy-clustering-based adding-point strategy is proposed and the fuzzy clustering acts an indicator of the region in which the precision of ROMs is relatively low. The proposed method is applied to construct the ROMs for the benchmark mathematical examples and a numerical example of hypersonic aerothermodynamics prediction for a typical control surface. | 2 | Dynamic Stability Analysis of Linear Time-varying Systems via an Extended Modal Identification Approach显示文摘The problem of linear time-varying(LTV) system modal analysis is considered based on time-dependent state space representations, as classical modal analysis of linear time-invariant systems and current LTV system modal analysis under the ‘‘frozen-time'' assumption are not able to determine the dynamic stability of LTV systems.Time-dependent state space representations of LTV systems are first introduced, and the corresponding modal analysis theories are subsequently presented via a stabilitypreserving state transformation. The time-varying modes of LTV systems are extended in terms of uniqueness, and are further interpreted to determine the system's stability. An extended modal identification is proposed to estimate the time-varying modes, consisting of the estimation of the state transition matrix via a subspace-based method and the extraction of the time-varying modes by the QR decomposition. The proposed approach is numerically validated by three numerical cases, and is experimentally validated by a coupled moving-mass simply supported beam experimental case. | 3 | Towards efficient and photorealistic 3D human reconstruction: A brief survey显示文摘Reconstructing 3D digital models of humans from sensory data is a long-standing problem in computer vision and graphics with a variety of applications in VR/AR,film production,and human–computer interaction,etc.While a huge amount of effort has been devoted to developing various capture hardware and reconstruction algorithms,traditional reconstruction pipelines may still suffer from high-cost capture systems and tedious capture processes,which prevent them from being easily accessible.Moreover,the dedicatedly hand-crafted pipelines are prone to reconstruction artifacts,resulting in limited visual quality.To solve these challenges,the recent trend in this area is to use deep neural networks to improve reconstruction efficiency and robustness by learning human priors from existing data.Neural network-based implicit functions have been also shown to be a favorable 3D representation compared to traditional forms like meshes and voxels.Furthermore,neural rendering has emerged as a powerful tool to achieve highly photorealistic modeling and re-rendering of humans by end-to-end optimizing the visual quality of output images.In this article,we will briefly review these advances in this fast-developing field,discuss the advantages and limitations of different approaches,and finally,share some thoughts on future research directions. | Lu Chen Sida Peng Xiaowei Zhou | 2021 | Visual Informatics2021,5,4: | 1 |
| 4 | Progress and challenges of prelithiation technology for lithium-ion battery显示文摘Prelithiation technology is widely considered a feasible route to raise the energy density and elongate the cycle life of lithium-ion batteries.The principle of prelithiation is to introduce extra active Li ions in the battery so that the lithium loss during the first charge and long-term cycling can be compensated.Such an effect does not need to change the major electrode material or battery structure and is compatible with the majority of current lithium-ion battery production lines.At this stage,various prelithiation methods have been reported,some of which are already in the pilot-scale production stage.But there is still no definitive development roadmap for prelithiation.In this review,we first introduce the influence of prelithiation on electrochemical performance from a theoretical point of view and then compare the pros and cons of different prelithiation methods in different battery manufacturing stages.Finally,we discuss the challenges and future development trends of prelithiation.We aim to build up a bridge between academic research and industrial application.Some engineering problems in the promotion of prelithiation technique are extensively discussed,including not only the implementation of prelithiation but also some collateral issues on battery designing and management. | Zhenyu Huang Zhe Deng Yun Zhong Mingkang Xu Sida Li Xueting Liu Yu Zhou Kai Huang Yue Shen Yunhui Huang | 2022 | Carbon Energy2022,4,6: | 1 |
| 5 | An Innovative State-of-charge Estimation Method of Lithium-ion Battery Based on 5th-order Cubature Kalman Filter显示文摘The lithium-ion batteries have drawn much attention as the major energy storage system.However,the battery state estimation still suffers from inaccuracy under dynamic operational conditions,with the unstable environmental noise influencing the robustness of estimation.This paper presents a 5th-order cubature Kalman filter with improvements on adaptivity for real-time state-of-charge estimation.The second-order equivalent circuit model is developed for describing the characteristics of battery,and parameter identification is carried out according to particle swarm optimization.The developed method is validated in stable and dynamic conditions,and simulation results show a satisfactory consistency with the experimental results.The maximum estimation error under static conditions is less than 3%and the maximum error under dynamic conditions is 5%.Numerical analysis indicates that the method has better convergence and robustness than the traditional method under the disturbances of initial error,which demonstrates the potential for EV applications in harsh environments.The proposed method shows application potential for both online estimations and cloud-computing system,indicating its diverse application prospect in electric vehicles. | Huang Yi Shichun Yang Sida Zhou Xinan Zhou Xiaoyu Yan Xinhua Liu | 2021 | Automotive Innovation2021,4,4: | 1 |
| 6 | Cortical Deficits are Correlated with Impaired Stereopsis in Patients with Strabismus显示文摘In this study,we explored the neural mechanism underlying impaired stereopsis and possible functional plasticity after strabismus surgery.We enrolled 18 stereo-deficient patients with intermittent exotropia before and after surgery,along with 18 healthy controls.Functional magnetic resonance imaging data were collected when participants viewed three-dimensional stimuli.Compared with controls,preoperative patients showed hypoactivation in higher-level dorsal(visual and parietal)areas and ventral visual areas.Pre-and postoperative activation did not significantly differ in patients overall;patients with improved stereopsis showed stronger postoperative activation than preoperative activation in the right V3A and left intraparietal sulcus.Worse stereopsis and fusional control were correlated with preoperative hypoactivation,suggesting that cortical deficits along the two streams might reflect impaired stereopsis in intermittent exotropia.The correlation between improved stereopsis and activation in the right V3A after surgery indicates that functional plasticity may underlie the improvement of stereopsis.Thus,additional postoperative strategies are needed to promote functional plasticity and enhance the recovery of stereopsis. | Sida Xi Yulian Zhou Jing Yao Xinpei Ye Peng Zhang Wen Wen Chen Zhao | 2023 | Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,7: | 0 |
| 7 | Formaldehyde Free Renewable Thermosetting Foam Based on Biomass Tannin with a Lignin Additive显示文摘This study presents easily prepared free formaldehyde bio-based foam based on a prepared thermosetting resin comprising tannin–lignin–furfuryl alcohol-glyoxal(TLFG)via mechanical stirring in presence of ether as a foaming agent.The foam was developed through a co-polycondensation reaction of glyoxal and furfuryl alcohol with condensed tannin and lignin,which is a forest-derived product.Investigation using scanning electron microscopy(SEM)showed more closed-cell structure without cracks and collapse in the TLFG foam,with a higher apparent density with respect to tannin–furanic–formaldehyde(TFF)foam.Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),dynamic thermomechanical analysis(DTMA),and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)investigations revealed that the curing process of TLFG foam proceeds easily even at a lower temperature.Additionally,it acquired higher heat resistance than TFF foam.Moreover,TLFG has a more robust chemical network structure,which contributes efficiently to the mechanical strength and a lower pulverization degree compared with TFF-derived foam.Fourier transform infrared spectrometry(FTIR)and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry(ESI-MS)proved that the cross-inking reactions between tannin,lignin,furfuryl alcohol,and glyoxal have been proceeded efficiently. | Bowen Liu Yunxia Zhou Hisham Essawy Shang Feng Xuehui Li Jingjing Liao Xiaojian Zhou Jun Zhang Sida Xie | 2022 | Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,11: | 0 |
