1Terrestrial carbon sinks in China and around the world and their contribution to carbon neutrality显示文摘Enhancing the terrestrial ecosystem carbon sink(referred to as terrestrial C sink) is an important way to slow down the continuous increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO_(2)) concentration and to achieve carbon neutrality target.To better understand the characteristics of terrestrial C sinks and their contribution to carbon neutrality,this review summarizes major progress in terrestrial C budget researches during the past decades,clarifies spatial patterns and drivers of terrestrial C sources and sinks in China and around the world,and examines the role of terrestrial C sinks in achieving carbon neutrality target.According to recent studies,the global terrestrial C sink has been increasing from a source of (-0.2±0.9) Pg C yr^(-1)(1 Pg=1015g)in the 1960s to a sink of (1.9±1.1) Pg C yr^(-1) in the 2010s.By synthesizing the published data,we estimate terrestrial C sink of 0.20–0.25 Pg C yr^(-1) in China during the past decades,and predict it to be 0.15–0.52 Pg C yr^(-1) by 2060.The terrestrial C sinks are mainly located in the mid-and high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere,while tropical regions act as a weak C sink or source.The C balance differs much among ecosystem types:forest is the major C sink;shrubland,wetland and farmland soil act as C sinks;and whether the grassland functions as C sink or source remains unclear.Desert might be a C sink,but the magnitude and the associated mechanisms are still controversial.Elevated atmospheric CO_(2) concentration,nitrogen deposition,climate change,and land cover change are the main drivers of terrestrial C sinks,while other factors such as fires and aerosols would also affect ecosystem C balance.The driving factors of terrestrial C sink differ among regions.Elevated CO_(2) concentration and climate change are major drivers of the C sinks in North America and Europe,while afforestation and ecological restoration are additionally important forcing factors of terrestrial C sinks in China.For future studies,we recommend the necessity for intensive and long-term ecosystem C monitoring over broad geographic scale to improve terrestrial biosphere models for accurately evaluating terrestrial C budget and its dynamics under various climate change and policy scenarios.Yuanhe Yang Yue Shi Wenjuan Sun Jinfeng Chang Jianxiao Zhu Leiyi Chen Xin Wang Yanpei Guo Hongtu Zhang Lingfei Yu Shuqing Zhao Kang Xu Jiangling Zhu Haihua Shen Yuanyuan Wang Yunfeng Peng Xia Zhao Xiangping Wang Huifeng Hu Shiping Chen Mei Huang Xuefa Wen Shaopeng Wang Biao Zhu Shuli Niu Zhiyao Tang Lingli Liu Jingyun Fang 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,5:32
2Hyperglycemia induces protein nonenzymeatic glycosylation in brain neurons of diabetic rats at early stage显示文摘BACKGROUND: Protein nonenzymatic glycosylation is supposed to be one of mechanisms for chronic complications development in diabetes mellitus, and therefore, might play an important role in the neuronal degeneration. OBJECTIVE: To study the protein nonenzymatic glycosylation in brain neurons of diabetic rats, and to analyze the pathway of neuronal degeneration at the early stage of hyperglymecia. DESIGN: Randomized controlled animal experiment. SETTING: Department of Endocrinology, First hospital Affiliated to General Hospital of Chinese PLA and Beijing Laboratory for Brain Aging, Xuanwu Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University. MATERIALS: Thirty-five male Wistar rats (grade Ⅱ), aged 3 months old, and 11 male purebred Kunming mice (grade Ⅲ) without special pathogen, aged 3 months old, were provided by the Animal Room of Capital Medical University. METHODS: This experiment was carried out in the Beijing Laboratory for Brain Aging, Xuanwu Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University in 1998. The rats in the diabetic model group were intraperitoneally injected into 10 g/L STZ according to 60 mg/kg to establish rat models of diabetes mellitus. The blood glucose and body mass of rats in each group were determined respectively at 1, 2 and 3 months after modeling. The antibodies of advanced glycosylation end products (AGEs) of bovine serum albumin (anti-BSA) were self-prepared: ①The antigen of AGEs-BSA was prepared.②Eleven male Kuming mice (grade Ⅱ) of 3 months old without special pathogen were selected to inoculate AGEs-BSA. ③ The animals were immunized. ④Primary purification and detection of poly-antibodies of AGEs: the AGEs were performed immunohistochemical examination at 1 month after diabetic modeling by ELISA method. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Detection results of blood glucose and body mass of rats in two groups at different time points. ② Determination of polyclonal antibody titer of AGEs-BSA. ③ Changes in immunohistochemical image of AGEs in brain tissue of rats in two groups. RESULTS: Thirteen rats in the diabetic model group and fifteen rats in the normal model group entered the stage of final analysis. ①Changes of blood glucose and body mass: At 1, 2 and 3 months after modeling, the blood glucose of rats in the diabetic model group were respectively(28.8±2.8),(23.1±5.5),(25.4± 5.1) mmol/L, which were significantly higher than those in the normal control group [(6.2±0.9),(6.1±0.8), (6.1±0.7) mmol/L,P < 0.01]; At 1, 2 and 3 months after modeling, the body mass of rats in the diabetic model group were respectively (250.1±52.2),(263.8±50.0),(261.5±42.6) g, which were significantly lower than those in the normal control group [(422.6±36.2),(462.6±39.0),(485.0±28.8) g,P < 0.01]. ②Determination of antibody titer of immune serum: The mice were treated by AGEs-BSA of different concentrations twice. After that, the titer of AGEs -BSA was determined, and the results of which indicated that a higher absorbance existed at 1∶1 000. ③Determination of antigen concentration: The final titer of antibody in the abdominal dropsy was determined, and the results of which suggested that there was a much higher absorbance in the AGEs-BSA at the concentration of 5–50 mg/L. ④Determination of antibody titer in abdominal dropsy: The antibody titer in abdominal dropsy was detected by ELISA method with antigen at 20 mg/L, which indicated that the maximum absorbance (1.265±0.039) existed at 1∶4 000, and very larger absorbance (0.982±0.067) at 1∶20 000. The polyclonal antibody of AGEs-BSA was successfully prepared. ⑤Immunohistochemical detection results: The immunohistochemical staining of AGEs showed there were positive neurons in the first month in the diabetic model group, whereas it was not significant in the normalcontrol group. The positive substances were found mainly in the cytoplasm. CONCLUSION: Hyperglycemia at the early stage of diabetes mellitus (1 month after modeling) can lead to protein nonenzymeatic glycosylation in brain neurons, and no obvious reactions mentioned above are found in the normal control group. 3KLF7 promotes preadipocyte proliferation via activation of the Akt signaling pathway by Cis-regulating CDKN3显示文摘Krüppel-like transcription factor 7(KLF7)promotes preadipocyte proliferation;however,its target gene in this process has not yet been identified.Using KLF7 ChIP-seq analysis,we previously showed that a KLF7-binding peak is present upstream of the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 3 gene(CDKN3)in chicken preadipocytes.In the present study,we identify CDKN3 as a target gene of KLF7 that mediates the effects of KLF7 on preadipocyte proliferation.Furthermore,5′-truncating mutation analysis shows that the minimal promoter is located between nt–160 and nt–7(relative to the translation initiation codon ATG)of CDKN3.KLF7 overexpression increases CDKN3 promoter activity in the DF-1 and immortalized chicken preadipocyte(ICP1)cell lines.Deletion of the putative binding site of KLF7 abolishes the promotive effect of KLF7 overexpression on CDKN3 promoter activity.Moreover,CDKN3 knockdown and overexpression assays reveal that CDKN3 enhances ICP1 cell proliferation.Flow cytometry analysis shows that CDKN3 accelerates the G1/S transition.Furthermore,we find that KLF7 promotes ICP1 cell proliferation via Akt phosphorylation by regulating CDKN3.Taken together,our results suggest that KLF7 promotes preadipocyte proliferation by activating the Akt signaling pathway by cis-regulating CDKN3,thus driving the G1/S transition.Ziqiu Jia Zhao Jin Shuli Shao Hu Xu Wen Li Mahmood Khan Weiyu Wang Weiwei Zhang Yingning Sun 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,10:2

6A Deep Learning Driven Feature Based Steganalysis Approach显示文摘The goal of steganalysis is to detect whether the cover carries the secret information which is embedded by steganographic algorithms.The traditional ste-ganalysis detector is trained on the stego images created by a certain type of ste-ganographic algorithm,whose detection performance drops rapidly when it is applied to detect another type of steganographic algorithm.This phenomenon is called as steganographic algorithm mismatch in steganalysis.To resolve this pro-blem,we propose a deep learning driven feature-based approach.An advanced steganalysis neural network is used to extract steganographic features,different pairs of training images embedded with steganographic algorithms can obtain diverse features of each algorithm.Then a multi-classifier implemented as lightgbm is used to predict the matching algorithm.Experimental results on four types of JPEG steganographic algorithms prove that the proposed method can improve the detection accuracy in the scenario of steganographic algorithm mismatch.Yuchen Li Baohong Ling Donghui Hu Shuli Zheng Guoan Zhang 2023Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing2023,37,8:0
7An improved master-apprentice evolutionary algorithm for minimum independent dominating set problem显示文摘The minimum independent dominance set(MIDS)problem is an important version of the dominating set with some other applications.In this work,we present an improved master-apprentice evolutionary algorithm for solving the MIDS problem based on a path-breaking strategy called MAE-PB.The proposed MAE-PB algorithm combines a construction function for the initial solution generation and candidate solution restarting.It is a multiple neighborhood-based local search algorithm that improves the quality of the solution using a path-breaking strategy for solution recombination based on master and apprentice solutions and a perturbation strategy for disturbing the solution when the algorithm cannot improve the solution quality within a certain number of steps.We show the competitiveness of the MAE-PB algorithm by presenting the computational results on classical benchmarks from the literature and a suite of massive graphs from real-world applications.The results show that the MAE-PB algorithm achieves high performance.In particular,for the classical benchmarks,the MAE-PB algorithm obtains the best-known results for seven instances,whereas for several massive graphs,it improves the best-known results for 62 instances.We investigate the proposed key ingredients to determine their impact on the performance of the proposed algorithm.Shiwei PAN Yiming MA Yiyuan WANG Zhiguo ZHOU Jinchao JI Minghao YIN Shuli HU 2023Frontiers of Computer Science2023,17,4:0
8Expert consensus on difficulty assessment of endodontic therapy显示文摘Endodontic diseases are a kind of chronic infectious oral disease. Common endodontic treatment concepts are based on the removal of inflamed or necrotic pulp tissue and the replacement by gutta-percha. However, it is very essential for endodontic treatment to debride the root canal system and prevent the root canal system from bacterial reinfection after root canal therapy(RCT). Recent research, encompassing bacterial etiology and advanced imaging techniques, contributes to our understanding of the root canal system’s anatomy intricacies and the technique sensitivity of RCT. Success in RCT hinges on factors like patients, infection severity, root canal anatomy, and treatment techniques. Therefore, improving disease management is a key issue to combat endodontic diseases and cure periapical lesions. The clinical difficulty assessment system of RCT is established based on patient conditions, tooth conditions, root canal configuration, and root canal needing retreatment, and emphasizes pre-treatment risk assessment for optimal outcomes. The findings suggest that the presence of risk factors may correlate with the challenge of achieving the high standard required for RCT. 9Multi-Layer Deep Sparse Representation for Biological Slice Image Inpainting显示文摘Biological slices are an effective tool for studying the physiological structure and evolutionmechanism of biological systems.However,due to the complexity of preparation technology and the presence of many uncontrollable factors during the preparation processing,leads to problems such as difficulty in preparing slice images and breakage of slice images.Therefore,we proposed a biological slice image small-scale corruption inpainting algorithm with interpretability based on multi-layer deep sparse representation,achieving the high-fidelity reconstruction of slice images.We further discussed the relationship between deep convolutional neural networks and sparse representation,ensuring the high-fidelity characteristic of the algorithm first.A novel deep wavelet dictionary is proposed that can better obtain image prior and possess learnable feature.And multi-layer deep sparse representation is used to implement dictionary learning,acquiring better signal expression.Compared with methods such as NLABH,Shearlet,Partial Differential Equation(PDE),K-Singular Value Decomposition(K-SVD),Convolutional Sparse Coding,and Deep Image Prior,the proposed algorithm has better subjective reconstruction and objective evaluation with small-scale image data,which realized high-fidelity inpainting,under the condition of small-scale image data.And theOn2-level time complexitymakes the proposed algorithm practical.The proposed algorithm can be effectively extended to other cross-sectional image inpainting problems,such as magnetic resonance images,and computed tomography images.Haitao Hu Hongmei Ma Shuli Mei 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,76,9:0

11PU.1 interacts with KLF7 to suppress differentiation and promote proliferation in chicken preadipocytes显示文摘Krüppel-like factor 7(KLF7)is a negative regulator of preadipocyte differentiation.Our previous KLF7 ChIP-seq analysis showed that the binding motif of PU.1 was found among the KLF7 binding peaks,indicating that an interaction between KLF7 and PU.1 at preadipocyte gene promoters and other regulatory elements might be common.Here,Co-IP and FRET assays are used to confirm that PU.1 can directly bind to KLF7 and enhance the transcription activity of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 3(CDKN3),which is a downstream target gene of KLF7.We show that the PU.1 expression level is decreased during preadipocyte differentiation.Furthermore,PU.1 overexpression and knockdown experiments reveal that PU.1 negatively regulates chicken preadipocyte differentiation,as evidenced by appropriate changes in lipid droplet accumulation and altered expressions of PPARγ,FAS,and PLIN.In addition,PU.1 overexpression promotes preadipocyte proliferation,while knockdown of PU.1 inhibits preadipocyte proliferation.We further demonstrate that PU.1 inhibits differentiation and promotes proliferation in preadipocytes,in part by directly interacting with KLF7.Ming Tan Hu Xu Jinwei Li Ziqiu Jia Xin Zhang Shuli Shao Weiwei Zhang Weiyu Wang Yingning Sun 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,1:0
12Petrogenesis and Tectonic Implications of the Paleoproterozoic A-Type Granites in the Xiong’ershan Area along the Southern Margin of the North China Craton显示文摘Paleoproterozoic A-type granites are widely distributed in the southern margin of the North China Craton(SNCC),providing important information for understanding the Paleoproterozoic tectonic regimes in this area.This paper reports newly obtained whole-rock compositions and zircon U-Pb ages for the Tieluping syenogranite porphyry(TLP)and Huoshenmiao alkali granite porphyry(HSM)in the SNCC.Zircons from the TLP and HSM have U-Pb ages of 1805±12 and 1792±14 Ma,respectively.These ages are taken to date the emplacement of these intrusions.They had high total alkali contents(K_(2)O+Na_(2)O>7.13 wt.%),with high 10000×Ga/Al ratios(3.06–3.41)and Zr+Y+Nb+Ce values(709 ppm–910 ppm)as well as high zircon saturation temperatures(864–970℃),indicative of A-type granite affinities.High Y/Nb(1.75–3.32),Ce/Nb(7.72–9.72),and Yb/Ta(2.89–5.60)ratios suggested that TLP and HSM belonged to the A2-type granite.The negative whole rockε_(Nd)(t)values(−8.4 to−6.6)and negative zirconε_(Hf)(t)values(−15.9 to−6.3)confirmed that TLP and HSM were likely generated by the partial melting of an ancient continental crust.TheεHf(t)(−7.4 to+4.0)values of inherited zircons in the TLP suggested that they were derived from the partial melting of Archean basement rocks.Considering the geochemical similarity of the 1.80 Ga A-type granitoids in the SNCC,we propose that the TLP and HSM were formed in a post-collisional regime that was likely associated with the break-off of the Paleoproterozoic subducted slab.Upwelling of the asthenosphere provided huge heat to generate the regional 1.80 Ga A-type granite in the SNCC.Jinhong Xu Yuping Jiang Shuli Hu Zhengwei Zhang Chengquan Wu Chaofei Zheng Xiyao Li Ziru Jin Sensen Zhang Yatao Zhou 2024Journal of Earth Science2024,35,2:0
