Constrained large-eddy simulation and detached eddy simulation of flow past a commercial aircraft at 14 degrees angle of attack显示文摘With the development of computational power and numerical algorithms, computational fluid dynamics(CFD) has become an important strategy for the design of aircraft, which significantly reduces the reliance on wind-tunnel and flight tests. In this paper,we conducted a numerical investigation on the flow past a full commercial aircraft at Mach number 0.2 and 14 degrees angle of attack by means of Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS),detached-eddy simulation(DES) and our newly developed constrained large-eddy simulation(CLES).The objective of this paper is to study the capability of these models in simulating turbulent flows. To our knowledge, this is the first large-eddy simulation method for full commercial aircraft simulation. The results show that the CLES can predict the mean statistical quantities well, qualitatively consistent with traditional methods, and can capture more small-scale structures near the surface of the aircraft with massive separations. Our study demonstrates that CLES is a promising alternative for simulating real engineering turbulent flows.CHEN ShiYi CHEN YingChun XIA ZhenHua QU Kun SHI YiPeng XIAO ZuoLi LIU QiuHong CAI QingDong LIU Feng LEE Cunbiao ZHANG RiKui CAI JinSheng 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,2:14
Factors involved in the success of Castanea henryi stem cuttings in different cutting mediums and cutting selection periods显示文摘Chinquapin(Castanea henryi) is a dual-purpose tree species in China valued for as a source of timber and starch. We investigated the effect of four cutting mediums(pure vermiculite;peat:river sand at 3:1 v/v;peat:krasnozem at 1:1 v/v;and pure krasnozem) and three stem cutting periods(March,May,and July) on rooting performance of C.henryi cuttings.Different cutting periods and cutting mediums greatly influenced the rooting rate of C.henryi, ranging from 3.35 to 77.31%.Principal component analysis indicated that the best combination of cutting period and cutting medium was semi-hardwood cuttings(May cuttings)+krasnozem.Histological evidence indicated that adventitious root initials were present by week 5-6,and that the site of root primordia initiation was observed in the vascular cambium.Stem anatomical structures observed at different periods indicated that a xylem/radius ratio of29.90-37.42% and a fractured phloem fiber ring are indicative of rooting success. The relational model between rooting index and medium properties indicated that nutrient content and porosity significantly influenced callus production. However,pH strongly affected C.henryi root formation, with the Pearson correlation coefficients for May and July cuttings of-0.856 and-0.947,respectively.Our protocol is helpful to achieve mass clone propagation of improved C.henryi genotypes, thus overcoming a common hurdle in chinquapin breeding programs.Wangzun Chen Libing He Shiyi Tian Joseph Masabni Huan Xiong Feng Zou Deyi Yuan 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,4:2
Byzantine Fault-Tolerant Routing for Large-Scale Wireless Sensor Networks Based on Fast ECDSA显示文摘Wireless sensor networks are a favorite target of Byzantine malicious attackers because of their limited energy, low calculation capability, and dynamic topology, and other important characteristics. The Byzantine Generals Problem is one of the classical problems in the area of fault tolerance, and has wide application, especially in distributed databases and systems. There is a lot of research in agreement and replication techniques that tolerate Byzantine faults. However, most of this work is not suited to large-scale wireless sensor networks, due to its high computational complexity. By introducing Fast ECDSA(Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm), which can resist timing and energy attacks, and reduce the proportion of verifying signature algorithm to generating signature algorithm to 1.2 times, we propose a new Byzantine fault-tolerant routing algorithm for large-scale wireless sensor networks with double-level hierarchical architecture. In different levels, the algorithm runs different BFT protocols.Theory and simulation results have proved that this algorithm has high security and the number of communication rounds between clusters is reduced by 1/3, which balances the network load. At the same time, the application of Fast ECDSA improves the security level of the network without burdening it.Jiawei Xu Keda Wang Chao Wang Feng Hu Zhenhua Zhang Shiyi Xu Jie Wu 2015Tsinghua Science and Technology2015,20,6:1
Effects of the PARP inhibitor Niraparib on the radiosensitivity of human lung and cervical cancer cells显示文摘ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of Niraparib,a clinically approved PARP inhibitor on the radiosensitivity of human lung and cervical cancer cells, and preliminarily explore the underlying mechanism.MethodsThe human lung cancer cell line A549 and human cervical cancer cell line Siha were both treated with Niraparib for 1h,or X-ray irradiation with 4y,or Niraparib for 1h combined with X-ray irradiation with 4Gy.The effect was examined via measurements of cell proliferation by the cell counting kit-8 assay, and cell viability was detected by clone formation assays.Cell apoptosis and cell cycle distribution were investigated by flow cytometry.ResultsIn human lung and cervical cancer cell lines,Niraparib combined with radiation therapy significantly inhibited cell proliferation. The proportion of apoptotic cells in cell lines treated with Niraparib plus radiation(the combination group)was significantly higher compared with control, radiation, and Niraparib groups(P<0.05).Additionally,the proportion of A549 cells in the G_(2)/M phase was significantly increased in the combination group compared with the radiation group(P<0.05).ConclusionPARP inhibitor Niraparib increases the radiosensitivity of tumorcells, promotes their apoptosis, and induces cell cycle redistribution. The possible mechanism is associated with the inhibition of radiation-induced DNA damage repair.Yue Feng Shiyi Pi Yuwei Li Yu Zhang Hongwei Zeng Xiangyu E Yang Zhang Jingping Yu 2023Radiation Medicine and Protection2023,4,2:1

Engineering single-molecule fluorescence withasymmetric nano-antennas显示文摘As a powerful tool for studying molecular dynamics in bioscience,single-molecule fluorescence detection providesdynamical information buried in ensemble experiments.Fluorescence in the near-infrared(NIR)is particularly usefulbecause it offers higher signal-to-noise ratio and increased penetration depth in tissue compared with visiblefluorescence. The low quantum yield of most NIR fluorophores, however, makes the detection of single-moleculefluorescence difcult. Here,we use asymmetric plasmonic nano-antenna to enhance the fluorescence intensity ofAlEE1000,a typical NIR dye,by a factor up to 405.The asymmetric nano-antenna achieve such an enhancement mainlyby increasing the quantum yield(to~80%)rather than the local field, which degrades the molecules'photostability. Our coupled-mode-theory analysis reveals that the enhancements stem from resonance-matching between antennaand molecule and, more importantly, from optimizing the coupling between the near-and far-ield modes withdesigner asymmetric structures. Our work provides a universal scheme for engineering single-molecule fluorescence inthe near-infrared regime.Wenqi Zhao Xiaochaoran Tian Zhening Fang Shiyi Xiao Meng Qiu Qiong He Wei Feng Fuyou Li Yuanbo Zhang Lei Zhou Yan-Wen Tan 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,5:1

Tracking the in vivo spatio-temporal patterns of neovascularization via NIR-II fluorescence imaging显示文摘The in vivo spatio-temporal patterns of neovascularization are still poorly understood because it is limited to multi-scale techniques from the cellular level to living animal level.Owing to deep tissue-penetration and zero autofluorescence background, the second near-infrared(NIR-II,1,000–1,700 nm)fluorescence imaging recently shows promise in breaking through this dilemma by dynamically tracking the pathophysiological process of neovascularization in vivo.Here,NIR-II fluorescence imaging was recruited for monitoring blood vessels in order to visualize the vascular injury and quantitively assess neovascularization in mouse models of acute skeleton muscle contusion and hindlimb ischemia. The temporal analysis of real-time NIR-II fluorescence intensity demonstrated that the blood flow perfusion of ischemia area was able to rapidly restore to 96%of pre-ischemic state within one week. Moreover, the spatial analysis revealed that the lower and outer quadrants of ischemia area in the mouse model of hindlimb ischemia always had relatively high blood flow perfusion compared with other quadrants during three weeks post-ischemia,and even exceeded pre-ischemic quantity at 21 days post-ischemia.In conclusion, this in vivo imaging technique has significant potential utility for studying the spatio-temporal patterns of neovascularization in vivo.Mo Chen Sijia Feng Yimeng Yang Yunxia Li Jian Zhang Shiyi Chen Jun Chen 2020Nano Research2020,13,11:1
In vivo real-time monitoring delayed administration of M2 macrophages to enhance healing of tendon by NIR-II fluorescence imaging显示文摘The administration time is a critical but long-neglected point in cell therapy based on macrophages because the incorrect time of macrophage administration could result in diverse outcomes regarding the same macrophage therapy. In this work, the second near-infrared(NIR-II)fluorescence imaging in vivo tracking of M2 macrophages during a pro-healing therapy in the mice model of rotator cuff injury revealed that the behavior of administrated macrophages was influenced by the timing of their administration. The delayed cell therapy(DCT)group had a longer retention time of injected M2 macrophages in the repairing tissue than that in the immediate cell therapy(ICT)group. Both Keller-Segel model and histological analysis further demonstrated that DCT altered the chemotaxis of M2 macrophages and improved the healing outcome of the repaired structure in comparison with ICT.Our results offer a possible explanation of previous conflicting results on reparative cell therapy and provoke reconsideration of the timing of these therapies.Yuzhou Chen Mo Chen Chengxuan Yu Huizhu Li Liman Sai Nguyen T.K.Thanh Yueming Wang Yan Wo Jian Zhang Xing Yang Evgenii L.Guryev Andrei V.Zvyagin Hao De Min Tang Shiyi Chen Yunxia Li Yuefeng Hao Sijia Feng Jun Chen 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0
Dual cross-linked MXene/cellulose nanofiber/nickel alginate film with improved mechanical properties and electromagnetic interference shielding performance显示文摘Electromagnetic interference pollution has raised urgent demand for the development of electromagnetic interference shielding materials.Transition metal carbides(MXenes)with excellent conductivity have shown great potential in electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding materials, while the poor mechanical strength, flexibility, and structural stability greatly limit their further applications. Here, cellulose nanofibers and sodium alginate are incorporated with MXene nanosheets as flexible matrices to construct strong and flexible mussellike layered MXene/Cellulose nanofiber/Sodium Alginate composite films, and nickel ions are further introduced to induce metal coordination crosslinking of alginate units.Benefited from the dual-crosslinked network structure of hydrogen bonding and metal coordination, the tensile strength,Young’s modulus, and toughness of the MXene/cellulose nanofiber/nickel alginate composite film are significantly increased. After subsequent reduction by ascorbic acid, excess nickel ions are reduced to nickel nanoparticles and uniformly dispersed within the highly conductive composite film, which further improved its hysteresis loss effect toward the incident electromagnetic waves.Consequently, the MXene/cellulose nanofiber/nickel alginate-Ni composite film presents a considerably enhanced electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness(47.17 dB)at a very low thickness of 29μm.This study proposes a feasible dual-crosslinking and subsequent reduction strategy to synergistically enhance the mechanical properties and electromagnetic interference shielding performance of MXene-based composite materials.Pengcheng Deng Shiyi Feng Canhui Lu Zehang Zhou 2023Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,10:0
Macrophage LMO7 deficiency facilitates inflammatory injury via metabolic-epigenetic reprogramming显示文摘Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is a formidable disease due to its complex pathogenesis.Macrophages,as a major immune cell population in IBD,are crucial for gut homeostasis. However,it is still unveiled how macrophages modulate IBD.Here,we found that LIM domain only 7(LMO7)was downregulated in pro-inflammatory macrophages, and that LMO7 directly degraded 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase 3(PFKFB3)through K48-mediated ubiquitination in macrophages. As an enzyme that regulates glycolysis,PFKFB3 degradation led to the glycolytic process inhibition in macrophages, which in turn inhibited macrophage activation and ultimately attenuated murine colitis. Moreover,we demonstrated that PFKFB3 was required for histone demethylase Jumonji domaincontaining protein 3(JMJD3)expression,thereby inhibiting the protein level of trimethylation of histone H3 on lysine 27(H3K27me3).Overall,our results indicated the LMO7/PFKFB3/JMJD3 axis is essential for modulating macrophage function and IBD pathogenesis.Targeting LMO7 or macrophage metabolism could potentially be an effective strategy for treating inflammatory diseases.Shixin Duan Xinyi Lou Shiyi Chen Hongchao Jiang Dongxin Chen Rui Yin Mengkai Li Yuseng Gou Wenjuan Zhao Lei Sun Feng Qian 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,12:0
Shear stress-induced delamination method for the mass production of Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx MXene nanosheets显示文摘MXene nanosheets are considered advantageous for functional materials, but current delamination methods to prepare MXene nanosheets have many limitations including high cost, small production scale, low efficiency, and deteriorated structure integrity of obtained nanosheets. Here,we propose a simple, efficient, and scalable shear stress-induced delamination(SSID)strategy to boost the production of single-/few-layered Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets.Molecular dynamics simulation indicates that the pan mill-type grinding discs create a strong hydrodynamic flow field, which exerts gigantic shear stress to substantially delaminate the multilayered MXene stacks into homogeneously dispersed MXene nanosheets.Furthermore, shear stress generated from vigorous water flow has limited fragmentation effect, ensuring large lateral size and good structure integrity to the obtained MXene nanosheets as evidenced by the morphological and structural characterizations.Compared to conventional delamination methods, this novel SSID strategy exhibits great advantages in terms of efficiency, scalability and the properties of resultant MXene nanosheets, which opens up great opportunity for the scalable production and commercialization of high-performance MXene-based materials.Zehang Zhou Lingfei Wei Ya Yi Shiyi Feng Zeying Zhan Dong Tian Canhui Lu 2023Journal of Materiomics2023,9,6:0
