| 1 | Distribution and Provenance of Detrital Minerals in Southern Coast of Shandong Peninsula显示文摘Detrital minerals of 137 offshore and 22 river sediment samples collected from Qingdao coastal areas have been analyzed. Four mineral assemblage provinces can be classified by Q-mode cluster analysis. Factor analysis identifies two major factors that account for the total variability in most common minerals: 1) based on the relationship of quartz, hornblende, actinolite, micas, and authigenic pyrite, 41.55% of the variability is related to sediment sources; 2) based on the relationship of epidote, garnet, sphere, and ilmenite, 23.21% can be related to strong hydrodynamic conditions that control transport and sedimentation. By comparing mineral compositions of river waters in the study area, the following four mineral provenances can be identified. The Qingdao-Laoshan nearshore area has a quartz-feldspar-epidote-hornblende-limenite-limonite-sphene assemblage, which is largely attributed to relict sediment and coastal erosion. The Jimo-Haiyang nearshore area has a quartz-feldspar-hornblende-epidote-limonite-mica-actinolite assemblage, derived largely from the Wulong River and Rushan River, and is also affected by the Huanghe River, while the Qianliyan Island area in the deeper offshore area separated by a mud belt has a similar assemblage. The Haiyang-Rushan nearshore area has a quartz-feldspar-hornblende-epidote-micas-limonite assemblage, indicating multiple sources from the Rushan River, the Wulong River, the Huanghe River, and coastal erosion. | 2 | Exploitation of Bi2O2Se/graphene van der Waals heterojunction for creating efficient photodetectors and short-channel field-effect transistors显示文摘The formation of heterojunction within solid-state devices enables them with eventually high performances,but provides a challenge for material synthesis and device fabrication because strict conditions such as lattice match are needed.Herein,we show a facile method to fabricate a van der Waals(vdW)heterojunction between two-dimensional(2D)bismuth oxyselenide(Bi2O2Se)and graphene,during which the graphene is directly transferred to the Bi2O2Se and served as a lowcontract-resistant electrode with small work function mismatch(~50 meV).As an optoelectronic device,the Bi2O2Se/graphene vdW heterojunction allows for the efficient sensing toward 1200-nm incident laser.Regarding the application of fieldeffect transistors(FETs),the short-channel(50 nm)sample can be synthesized by utilizing these two 2D materials(ie,channel:Bi2O2Se;drain/source terminal:graphene)and the n-type characteristic can be observed with the accordant field modulation.It is confirmed that we show a simple way to prepare the vdW heterojunction which is aiming to the high-performance applications among optoelectronics and FETs. | Congwei Tan Shipu Xu Zhenjun Tan Luzhao Sun Jinxiong Wu Tianran Li Hailin Peng | 2019 | InfoMat2019,1,3: | 8 |
| 3 | Rapamycin promotes Schwann cell migration and nerve growth factor secretion显示文摘Rapamycin, similar to FK506, can promote neural regeneration in vitro. We assumed that the mechanisms of action of rapamycin and FK506 in promoting peripheral nerve regeneration were similar. This study compared the effects of different concentrations of rapamycin and FK506 on Sc hwann cells and investigated effects and mechanisms of rapamycin on improving peripheral nerve regeneration. Results demonstrated that the lowest rapamycin concentration(1.53 nmol/L) more significantly promoted Schwann cell migration than the highest FK506 concentration(100 μmol/L). Rapamycin promoted the secretion of nerve growth factors and upregulated growth-associated protein 43 expression in Schwann cells, but did not significantly affect Schwann cell proliferation. | 4 | Provenance analysis of surface sediments in the Holocene mud area of the southern coastal waters off Shandong Peninsula,China显示文摘The sedimentary record of mud areas is an important carrier of information on the Holocene evolution of marine environments. Based on fine interpretations of the shallow stratigraphic section data, a small mud deposit area has been found in the southern coastal waters off Shandong Peninsula. This mud area is mainly distributed in coastal waters north of Laoshantou to the vicinity of Rushan Estuary. Overall, it is parallel to the coastline and spreads in a banded pattern, gradually thinning from offshore to the sea. The isopach map of depth distribution is parallel with the shoreline, and the depocenter lies in coastal waters of the Aoshan Bay where the maximum thickness is up to 22.5 m. Accelerator mass spectrometry(AMS) ^(14)C dating shows that the mud area was formed in the Holocene. The test data of surface sediments from the mud area, including particle size, mineral characteristics, and rare earth element contents, are used in comparisons with the composition of materials from the major surrounding medium and small rivers flowing into the sea and the Huanghe(Yellow) River. In this paper, the sedimentary characteristics and provenance of the mud deposit area are discussed. | 7 | Preparation of Nano-TiO_2 by Liquid Hydrolysis and Characterization of Its Antibacterial Activity显示文摘The nano-TiO2 particles were prepared by liquid hydrolysis method and characterized using XRD. Its antibacterial activity against two representative bacterial, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, was also studied. The experimental results showed that the nano-TiO2 calcinated at 600-700 ℃ contained the obvious anatase phase and exerted excellent antibacterial activity. | 8 | EPMA Study of the Interface of β-Tricalcium Phosphate Ceramics in Vivo显示文摘Electron probe and X-ray energy spectrum were used to investigate the chemical composition of the interface between material and new bone after porous tricalcium phosphate ceramic implanted in tibia of rabbits. The element changes of the interface, the materials transformation and the situation of new bone formation at different implantation period were observed. The results showed that the carbon element content decreased gradually in new bone tissue, and the content of calcium and phosphor element increased by degrees with the implantation time. At the same time, calcium-phosphor ratio in the new bone kept a higher level. New bone grew into the materials interior, material dispersed and degraded simultaneously. Both composition of materials and new bone tended to be consentient. Finally, the materials were substituted by new bone. | 19 | Degradable PRGD/PDLLA/β-TCP/NGF composites promote differentiation and regulate gene expression in rat pheochromocytoma cells显示文摘In this study, we synthesized degradable PRGD/PDLLA/β-TCP/NGF composites to facilitate neuronal repair. To this end, we (1) examined the release of nerve growth factor (NGF) from the composites, (2) evaluated the differentiation status of the cells and (3) address how transcriptional activity may regulate the differentiation mechanism of these cells. NGF content was determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, while the cellular mRNA expression was examined by real-time PCR analysis. Our results indicated that NGF release was robust during the first 10 days and then stabilized at a lower level thereafter. Treatment of PC12 cells with the extract of the NGF-embedded composites induced the formation of neurites and, in some cases, net-like neurites. Analysis of the expression level of differentiation-related genes, such as TrkA, VGF, Rab1, GAP43 and β-tubulin Ⅱ, were significantly up-regulated.
