1Reservoir differences and formation mechanisms in the Ke-Bai overthrust belt,northwestern margin of the Junggar Basin,China显示文摘There are some differences in reservoir quality of clastic rock between the hanging wall and the foot wall of the Ke-Bai overthrust belt,northwestern margin of the Junggar Basin,western China,which affect the effi cient petroleum exploration in this highly mature exploration area. Based on a large number of thin-sections,cast thin-sections,and physical property analysis of cores,we systematically discuss the Permian-Jurassic reservoir differences between the hanging wall and the foot wall of the Ke-Bai overthrust fault from the aspects of structural evolution,time-space distribution of the depositional system,diagenesis characteristics,and reservoir quality and analyzed the reasons for the differences in reservoir properties. The overthrusting of the Ke-Bai fault directly results in different burial histories,diagenesis evolution,and porosity evolution between the hanging wall and the foot wall. The differences of reservoir characteristics are mainly embodied in buried depth,grain size,sedimentary facies,diagenetic stage,and reservoir quality. The analysis results showed that burial history and depositional characteristics controlled by overthrusting are direct influencing factors of reservoir differences. Because of shallow burial depth of the hanging wall,the reservoir compaction is weak and primary pores are preserved well. The porosity of reservoir on the hanging wall is generally 10%-25%. The strata on the foot wall are deeply buried,and there are mainly mixed pores with the average porosity of 5%-20%. 2Chelating agents role on phase formation and surface morphology of single orthorhombic YMn_2O_5 nanorods via modified polyacrylamide gel route显示文摘YMn2O5nanorods were synthesized through a modified polyacrylamide gel route.The synthesis strategy in this work is based on a sol-gel process using a polyacrylamide gel method in which oxalic acid,citric acid or tartaric acid is employed as the chelating agent.In the gel routes,oxalic acid was used as a carboxyl chelating agent,while citric acid or tartaric acid was a carboxyl and hydroxyl chelating agent.The as-prepared samples were characterized by means of techniques such as X-ray powder diffraction(XRD)measurement,thermogravimetric analysis(TG),differential scanning calorimetry analysis(DSC),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),thermal expansion measurement and field-emission scanning electron microscopy(SEM)investigations.It was found that oxalic acid is the best chelating agent with Y(NO3)3·6H2O and Mn(CH3COO)2·4H2O as precursors to prepare a single orthorhombic YMn2O5nanorods at 1000°C.Scanning electron microscope observation shows that the morphology of YMn2O5powders is significantly dependent on the chelating agent.The peaks(single orthorhombic YMn2O5nanorods)at 642,600,573,546,521,493,486,468,448 and 400cm?1were observed from FTIR spectra.The phase,surface morphology and chelation mechanisms of YMn2O5samples have been discussed on the basis of the experimental results.WANG ShiFa ZHANG ChuanFei SUN GuangAi CHEN Bo XIANG Xia DING QingPing ZU XiaoTao 2014Science China Chemistry2014,57,3:4
3Effects of the vegetation restoration years on soil microbial community composition and biomass in degraded lands in Changting County,China显示文摘We evaluated the effects of the number of years of restoration of vegetation on soil microbial community structure and biomass in degraded ecosystems.We investigated the microbial community structure by analyzing their phospholipid fatty acids then examined microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen by chloroform fumigation extraction of restoration soils over several years.The data were compared with those of highly degraded lands and native vegetation sites.The results show that the duration of vegetation on the sites substantially increased microbial biomass and shifted the microbial community structure even after only 4 years.However,microbial communities and biomass did not recover to the status of native vegetation even after 35 years of vegetation cover.A redundancy analysis and Pearson correlation analysis indicated that soil organic carbon,total nitrogen,available potassium,soil water content,silt content and soil hardness explained 98.4%of total variability in the microbial community composition.Soil organic carbon,total nitrogen,available potassium and soil water content were positively correlated with microbial community structure and biomass,whereas,soil hardness and silt content were negatively related to microbial community structure and biomass.This study provides new insights into microbial community structure and biomass that influence organic carbon,nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium accumulation,and clay content in soils at different stages of restoration.Yonghui Bai Xuan Zha Shifa Chen 2020Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,4:3

5Development of gradient boosting-assisted machine learning data-driven model for free chlorine residual prediction显示文摘Chlorine-based disinfection is ubiquitous in conventional drinking water treatment (DWT) and serves to mitigate threats of acute microbial disease caused by pathogens that may be present in source water. An important index of disinfection efficiency is the free chlorine residual (FCR), a regulated disinfection parameter in the US that indirectly measures disinfectant power for prevention of microbial recontamination during DWT and distribution. This work demonstrates how machine learning (ML) can be implemented to improve FCR forecasting when supplied with water quality data from a real, full-scale chlorine disinfection system in Georgia, USA. More precisely, a gradient-boosting ML method (CatBoost) was developed from a full year of DWT plant-generated chlorine disinfection data, including water quality parameters (e.g., temperature, turbidity, pH) and operational process data (e.g., flowrates), to predict FCR. Four gradient-boosting models were implemented, with the highest performance achieving a coefficient of determination, R2, of 0.937. Values that provide explanations using Shapley’s additive method were used to interpret the model’s results, uncovering that standard DWT operating parameters, although non-intuitive and theoretically non-causal, vastly improved prediction performance.
