2Physical design of target station and neutron instruments for China Spallation Neutron Source显示文摘The China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)is the first accelerator-based multidiscipline user facility to produce pulsed neutrons by tungsten target under collision of a pulsed proton beam with a beam power of 100 kW at a repetition rate of 25 Hz.In this paper,we focus on the physical design of CSNS target station and neutron instruments.Under optimized design,the flat tungsten target and the compact target-moderator-reflector coupling enhance effective cold and thermal neutron output from moderators.Three wing-type moderators supply four different characteristics of neutrons to 19 beamlines primarily for neutron scattering applications.Layout of neutron instruments are conceptually planned for total 20 beamlines,the configuration and specification have been determined for three day-one neutron instruments.All designs are optimized for the Phase I of 100 kW with a upgradable capacity to 500 kW.WANG FangWei LIANG TianJiao YIN Wen YU QuanZhi HE LunHua TAO JuZhou ZHU Tao JIA XueJun ZHANG ShaoYing 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,12:7

4Projected total energy surface description for axial shape asymmetry in ^(172)W显示文摘The projected total energy surface(PTES)approach has been developed based on the triaxial projected shell model(TPSM)hybridized with the macroscopic–microscopic method.The total energy of an atomic nucleus is decomposed into macroscopic,microscopic and rotational terms.The macroscopic and microscopic components are described with the liquid drop model and Strutinsky method,respectively,and the rotational energy is given by the TPSM,the term beyond the mean field.To test theory,the PTES calculations have been carried out for the yrast states of the well deformed rare earth nucleus172W,and the theoretical results are in good agreement with the experimental data.By using the equilibrium quardrupole deformations(ε2andγ)determined by the PTES,the calculation of the transition quardrupole moment(Qt)in function of spin also reproduces the experimental data.A comparison between the PTES and TRS methods has been made for theoretical and application uses.TU Ya CHEN YongShou GAO ZaoChun YU ShaoYing LIU Ling 2014Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,11:3
5Radiation balance and the response of albedo to environmental factors above two alpine ecosystems in the eastern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Understanding the energy balance on the Tibetan Plateau is important for better prediction of global climate change. To characterize the energy balance on the Plateau, we examined the radiation balance and the response of albedo to environmental factors above an alpine meadow and an alpine wetland surfaces in the eastern Tibetan Plateau, using 2014 data. Although our two sites belong to the same climatic background, and are close geographically, the annual incident solar radiation at the alpine meadow site(6,447 MJ/(m2·a)) was about 1.1 times that at the alpine wetland site(6,012 MJ/(m2·a)),due to differences in the cloudiness between our two sites. The alpine meadow and the alpine wetland emitted about 38%and 42%, respectively, of annual incident solar radiation back into atmosphere in the form of net longwave radiation; and they reflected about 22% and 18%, respectively, of the annual incident solar radiation back into atmosphere in the form of shortwave radiation. The annual net radiation was 2,648 and 2,544 MJ/(m2·a) for the alpine meadow site and the alpine wetland site, respectively, accounting for only about 40% of the annual incident solar radiation, significantly lower than the global mean. At 30-min scales, surface albedo exponentially decreases with the increase of the solar elevation angle; and it linearly decreases with the increase of soil-water content for our two sites. 6Collective properties of neon isotopes investigated by projected shell model显示文摘Collective phenomenon in neon isotopes is an interesting topic.However,even the ground-state deformations cannot be well described by theories.Recently,QJ Zhi and ZZ Ren[Phys Lett B 638:166(2006)]have suggested an improved Nilsson potential,which can give a suitable description of ground-state properties in magnesium isotopes.In order to test the description of neon isotopes located around the‘‘island of inversion’’,we have used this potential to provide the deformed basis for the projectedshell-model calculations.The low-lying spectra and transition properties of neon isotopes can be reproduced reasonably.The gyromagnetic factors of neon isotopes have also been investigated.The structures of excited states along the yrast line are studied in the language of band diagrams.Guoxiang Dong Xiaobao Wang Furong Xu Shaoying Yu 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,29:2

17The study of energy bands in nucleus ^(102)Zr显示文摘Theoretical calculations of the energy bands in nucleus 102 Zr are carried out by taking the projected shell model approach, which has reproduced the experimental data. 18An investigation of ab initio shell-model interactions derived by no-core shell model显示文摘The microscopic shell-model effective interactions are mainly based on the many-body perturbation theory(MBPT), the first work of which can be traced to Brown and Kuo's first attempt in 1966, derived from the Hamada-Johnston nucleon-nucleon potential.However, the convergence of the MBPT is still unclear. On the other hand, ab initio theories, such as Green's function Monte Carlo(GFMC), no-core shell model(NCSM), and coupled-cluster theory with single and double excitations(CCSD), have made many progress in recent years. However, due to the increasing demanding of computing resources, these ab initio applications are usually limited to nuclei with mass up to A = 16. Recently, people have realized the ab initio construction of valence-space effective interactions, which is obtained through a second-time renormalization, or to be more exactly, projecting the full-manybody Hamiltonian into core, one-body, and two-body cluster parts. In this paper, we present the investigation of such ab initio shell-model interactions, by the recent derived sd-shell effective interactions based on effective J-matrix Inverse Scattering Potential(JISP) and chiral effective-field theory(EFT) through NCSM. In this work, we have seen the similarity between the ab initio shellmodel interactions and the interactions obtained by MBPT or by empirical fitting. Without the inclusion of three-body(3-bd) force,the ab initio shell-model interactions still share similar defects with the microscopic interactions by MBPT, i.e., T = 1 channel is more attractive while T = 0 channel is more repulsive than empirical interactions. 19Rotational structure of the odd-proton nuclide ^(171)Tm:A projected shell model study显示文摘Deformed odd-mass nuclei are ideal examples where the interplay between single-particle and collective degrees of freedom can be studied. Inspired by the recent experimental high-spin data in the odd-proton nuclide 171 Tm, we perform projected shell model(PSM) calculations to investigate structure of the ground band and other bands based on isomeric states. In addi- tion to the usual quadrupole-quadrupole force in the Hamiltonian, we employ the hexadecapole-hexadecapole(HH) interac- tion, in a self-consistent way with the hexadecapole deformation of the deformed basis. It is found that the known experi- mental data can be well described by the PSM calculation. 20Numerical Optimization of Tunnel-recombination Junction and Optical Absorption Properties of a-Si:H/a-SiGe:H Double-junction Solar Cell显示文摘The tunnel-recombination junction(TRJ) and optical absorption properties of a-Si:H/a-Si Ge:H double-junction solar cell were calculated by means of one dimensional simulator named AMPS-1D at the radiation of AM1.5G with a power density of 100 m W/cm2. Since the TRJ is the core component of the tandem solar cell, the optical absorption of the sub-cells and the electronic transport properties at the interface of the sub-cells are affected by the thickness and doping concentration of the TRJ. As a result, the TRJ parameters were optimized. The numerical results indicate that the maximum conversion efficiency(Eff) of 9.862% can be obtained when the thickness and doping concentration of the TRJ are 10 nm and 5*1019 cm–3, respectively. Based on the analysis of the contour map of short circuit current density, the optimal current matching can be achieved for 130 nm-thick top i-layer and 250 nm-thick bottom i-layer. In addition, four kinds of TRJ structures were also simulated for the comparison purpose. According to the calculated resistivity and band structures of the four TRJs, the efficiency of the solar cell with n-type μc-Si:H layer and p-type a-Si:H layer in TRJ structure is greater than that with other TRJ structures.
