2Effects of Nitrogen Deposition on Tundra Vegetation Undergoing Invasion by Deyeuxia angustifolia in Changbai Mountains显示文摘In recent years, herbaceous species such as Deyeuxia angustifolia(Kom.) Y. L. Chang has invaded alpine tundra regions of the western slope of the Changbai Mountains. Because atmospheric nitrogen deposition is predicted to increase under a warming climate and D. angustifolia is sensitive to nitrogen addition, field experiments were conducted from 2010 to 2013 to determine the effect of increased nitrogen deposition on the mechanisms of D. angustifolia invasion. The goal of this study is to evaluate the impact of increased nitrogen deposition on the changes in alpine tundra vegetation(consisting mostly of Rhododendron chrysanthum Pall. and Vaccinium uliginosum Linn.). The results showed that: 1) simulated nitrogen deposition affected overall characteristics and structure of R. chrysanthum and V. uliginosum communities and had a positive impact on the growth of tundra vegetation invaded by D. angustifolia; 2) R. chrysanthum was more resistant to invasion by D. angustifolia than V. uliginosum; 3) simulated nitrogen deposition could improve the growth and enhance the competitiveness of D. angustifolia, which was gradually replacing R. chrysanthum and V. uliginosum and might become the dominant species in the system in future, transforming alpine tundra into alpine meadow in the Changbai Mountains.JIN Yinghua XU Jiawei WANG Yeqiao WANG Shaoxian CHEN Zhaoshuang HUANG Xiangtong NIU Lijun 2016Chinese Geographical Science2016,26,1:6
3Neuropeptide Y and leptin receptor expression in the hypothalamus of rats with chronic immobilization stress显示文摘In this study, Sprague-Dawley rats were immobilized to a frame for 3 hours a day for 21 days to establish a model of chronic immobilization stress. The body weight and food intake of rats subjected to chronic immobilization stress were significantly decreased compared with the control group. Dual-labeling immunofluorescence revealed that the expression of leptin receptor and the co-localization coeffient in these leptic receptor neurons in the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus were both upregulated, while the number of neuropeptide Y neurons was decreased. 5Danggui Buxue Tang ameliorates bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis in rats through inhibiting transforming growth factor-β1/Smad3/plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 signaling pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Danggui Buxue Tang(DBT), a decoction from Traditional Chinese Medicine, on bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis in rats, and to propose the possible underlying mechanism.METHODS: Forty male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into sham group, model group,prednisone group and DBT group. Pulmonary fibrosis rat model was established by intratracheal injection with bleomycin. Body weight and lung index were monitored. Histopathologic examination and collagen deposition were determined using Hematoxylin and eosin(HE) and Masson's trichrome staining. Immunohistochemistry staining was applied to observe the expression of alpha-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA). m RNA expression of α-SMA,collagen Ⅰ and collagen Ⅲ were measured by realtime fluorescence quantitative PCR(RT-q PCR). Inflammatory cytokines, including tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α), interleukin-6(IL-6) and IL-1β in serum were detected by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Alkali hydrolysis method was conducted to investigate the content of hydroxyproline(HYP). Transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1),Smad3 and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1(PAI-1) protein level were examined by Western blot assay.RESULTS: DBT significantly reduced the severity of bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis and inflammation as indicated by minimizing the lost of weight, and by lowering the levels of lung index, inflammation score, Ashcroft score, collagen volume fraction(%), HYP, α-SMA, collagen Ⅰ, collagen Ⅲ,TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β, TGF-β1, Smad3 and PAI-1, consistent with the effect of prednisone.CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that DBT is able to ameliorate the pulmonary fibrosis, the possible mechanism may involve inhibition of pulmonary inflammation and collagen deposition, possibly via suppressing TGF-β1/Smad3/PAI-1 signaling pathway.Wang Jiepeng Fang Chaoyi Wang Shaoxian Fang Fang Chu Xinqiao Liu Na Lu Chenxi Wang Shuo Li Wei 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,2:5
6Synthesis of montmorillonite-chitosan hollow and hierarchical mesoporous spheres with single-template layer-by-layer assembly显示文摘In order to develop a facile and precisely controlled approach to synthesize hierarchical mesoporous materials with tailored property, in this work, a novel study was carried out to fabricate montmorillonitechitosan hollow and hierarchical mesoporous spheres(MMTNS@CS-HMPHS) based on single-template layer-by-layer(Lb L) assembly. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), specific surface area analysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) analyses were carried out to characterize the morphology and surface properties of MMTNS@CS-HMPHS. Benefitting from the unique lamellar structure of MMTNS, mesoporous channels are formed on the shell of MMTNS@CS hollow spheres, resulting in high surface area. 7Determination of the solvation film thickness of dispersed particles with the method of Einstein viscosity equation显示文摘The dispersion of a solid particle in a liquid may lead to the formation of solvation film onthe particle surface, which can strongly increase the repulsive force between particles and thus strongly affect the stability of dispersions. The solvation film thickness, which varies with the variation of the property of suspension particles and solutions, is one of the most important parameters of the solvation film, and is also one of the most difficult parameters that can be measured accurately. In this paper, a method, based on the Einstein viscosity equation of dispersions, for determining the solvation film thickness of particles is developed. This method was tested on two kinds of silica spherical powders (namely M1 and M2) dispersed in ethyl alcohol, in water, and in a water-ethyl alcohol mixture (1:1 by volume) through measuring the relative viscosity of dispersions of the particles as a function of the volume fraction of the dry particles in the dispersion, and of the specific surface area and the density of the particles. 8Topographies of seismic velocity discontinuities and penetrations of subducting slabs beneath the Sea of Okhotsk显示文摘The existence of discontinuities, the topographies of the 410 km and 660 km discontinuities, and the penetrations of subducting slabs near the 660 km discontinuities beneath the Sea of Okhotsk were studied using Nth root slant stack and digital records from networks in Germany and the western United States. Results show the obvious evidence for reflected and refractive phases associated with the 410 km and 660 km discontinuities. There may be discontinuities at other depths such as 150 km, 220 km and 520 km. The 410 km discontinuity is elevated and the 660 km discontinuity is depressed respectively, consistent with the expected thermal signature of the phase transitions. 10UWB positioning enhancement using Markov chain in indoor NLOS environment显示文摘The accuracy of the positioning system in indoor environment is often affected by none-line-of-sight(NLOS) propagation. In order to improve the positioning accuracy in indoor NLOS environment, a method used ultra-wide-band(UWB) technology, which based on time of arrival(TOA) principle, combining Markov chain and fingerprint matching was proposed. First, the TOA algorithm is used to locate the target tag. Then the Markov chain is used to identify if blocking happened and revise the position result. And the fingerprint matching is used to further improve the position accuracy. Finally, an experiment system was built to test the accuracy of the proposed method and the traditional Kalman filter method. 12Novel three-body nano-abrasive wear mechanism显示文摘Current three-body abrasive wear theories are based on a macroscale abrasive indentation process,and these theories claim that material wear cannot be achieved without damaging the hard mating surface.In this study,the process of three-body nano-abrasive wear of a system including a single crystalline silicon substrate,an amorphous silica cluster,and a polyurethane pad,based on a chemical mechanical polishing(CMP)process,is investigated via molecular dynamics simulations.The cluster slid in a suspended state in smooth regions and underwent rolling impact in the asperity regions of the silicon surface,realizing non-damaging monoatomic material removal.This proves that indentation-plowing is not necessary when performing CMP material removal.Therefore,a non-indentation rolling-sliding adhesion theory for three-body nano-abrasive wear between ultrasoft/hard mating surfaces is proposed.This wear theory not only unifies current mainstream CMP material removal theories,but also clarifies that monoatomic material wear without damage can be realized when the indentation depth is less than zero,thereby perfecting the relationship between material wear and surface damage.These results provide new understanding regarding the CMP microscopic material removal mechanism as well as new research avenues for three-body abrasive wear theory at the monoatomic scale.Ruling CHEN Shaoxian LI 2022Friction2022,10,5:2

16Thermoelastohydrodynamic behaviour of inclined-ellipse dimpled gas face seals显示文摘The thermoelastohydrodynamic performance of an inclined-ellipse dimpled gas face seal is analyzed. The pressure distributions of the gas film and temperature fields of the seal rings and gas film are presented considering thermal and elastic distortions.Then, the influences of texturing parameters, including dimple inclination angle and dimple depth, on sealing performance are investigated under different operating parameters such as rotational speeds and seal pressures. The results show that face distortions lead to a decrease in the hydrodynamic effect at high rotational speed. The analysis shows that the opening force can decrease by more than 50% as the rotational speed increases from 0 to 35000 r min^(-1).
