| 1 | Function-regeneration of non-porous hydrolyzed-MOF-derived materials显示文摘A facile synthetic strategy based on a water-based process is developed for the preparation of metal-organic framework (MOF)-derived materials by revisiting the hydrolyzed non-porous metal-organic frameworks (h-MOF). The poor water stability of MOF has been recognized as key limitations for its commercialization and large-scale applications because the hydrolysis resulted in the complete loss of their functionalities. However, we found that the negative effect of hydrolysis on MOF can be nullified during the heat treatment. As similar to the intact MOF, h-MOF can be used as a precursor for the preparation of MOF-derived materials from porous MOF-derived carbons (MDCs) to MDC@ZnO composites. The property of h-MOF-derived materials is almost equivalent to that of MOF-derived materials. In addition, h-MOF turned the weakness of water instability to the strength of facile water-based process for hybridization. | 3 | Melatonin combined with exercise cannot alleviate cerebral injury in a rat model of focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘Previous studies have demonstrated that melatonin combined with exercise can alleviate secondary damage after spinal cord injury in rats.Therefore,it is hypothesized that melatonin combined with exercise can also alleviate ischemic brain damage.In this study,adult rats were subjected to right middle cerebral artery occlusion after receiving 10 mg/kg melatonin or vehicle subcutaneously twice daily for 14 days.Forced exercise using an animal treadmill was performed at 20 m/min for 30 minutes per day for 6 days prior to middle cerebral artery occlusion.After middle cerebral artery occlusion,each rat received melatonin combined with exercise,melatonin or exercise alone equally for 7 days until sacrifice.Interestingly,rats receiving melatonin combined with exercise exhibited more severe neurological deficits than those receiving melatonin or exercise alone.Hypoxia-inducible factor 1α mRNA in the brain tissue was upregulated in rats receiving melatonin combined with exercise.Similarly,microtubule associated protein-2 mRNA expression was significantly upregulated in rats receiving melatonin alone.Chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan 4 (NG2) mRNA expression was significantly decreased in rats receiving melatonin combined with exercise as well as in rats receiving exercise alone.Furthermore,neural cell loss in the primary motor cortex was significantly reduced in rats receiving melatonin or exercise alone,but the change was not observed in rats receiving melatonin combined with exercise.These findings suggest that excessive intervention with melatonin,exercise or their combination may lead to negative effects on ischemia/reperfusion-induced brain damage. | Seunghoon Lee Jinhee Shin Minkyung Lee Yunkyung Hong Sang-Kil Lee Youngjeon Lee Tserentogtokh Lkhagvasuren Dong-Wook Kim Young-Ae Yang Kyu-Tae Chang Yonggeun Hong | 2012 | Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,13: | 2 |

| 12 | LongLine:Visual Analytics System for Large-scale Audit Logs显示文摘Audit logs are different from other software logs in that they record the most primitive events(i.e.,system calls)in modem operating systems.Audit logs contain a detailed trace of an operating system,and thus have received great attention from security experts and system administrators.However,the complexity and size of audit logs,which increase in real time,have hindered analysts from understanding and analyzing them.In this paper,we present a novel visual analytics system,LongLine,which enables interactive visual analyses of large-scale audit logs.LongLine lowers the interpretation barrier of audit logs by employing human-understandable representations(e.g.,file paths and commands)instead of abstract indicators of operating systems(e.g.,file descriptors)as well as revealing the temporal patterns of the logs in a multi-scale fashion with meaningful granularity of time in mind(e.g.,hourly,daily,and weekly).LongLine also streamlines comparative analysis between interesting subsets of logs,which is essential in detecting anomalous behaviors of systems.In addition,LongLine allows analysts to monitor the system state in a streaming fashion,keeping the latency between log creation and visualization less than one minute.Finally,we evaluate our system through a case study and a scenario analysis with security experts. | Seunghoon Yoo Jaemin Jo Bohyoung Kim Jinwook Seo | 2018 | Visual Informatics2018,2,1: | 1 |
