| 1 | Dynamic recrystallization behavior and microstructural evolution of Mg alloy AZ31 through high-speed rolling显示文摘High-speed rolling(HSR) is known to improve the workability of Mg alloys significantly, which makes it possible to impose a large reduction in a single pass without fracture. In the present study, dynamic recrystallization(DRX) behavior and microstructural and textural variations of Mg alloy AZ31 during a HSR process were investigated by conducting rolling with different imposed reductions in the range of 20%–80% at a high rolling speed of 470 m/min and 400?C. High-strain-rate deformation during HSR suppresses dislocation slips but promotes twinning, which results in the formation of numerous twins of several types, i.e., {10–12} extension twins, {10–11} and {10–13} contraction twins,and {10–11}–{10–12} double twins. After twinning, high strain energy is accumulated in twin bands because their crystallographic orientations are favorable for basal slips, leading to subsequent DRX at the twin bands. Accordingly, twinning activation and twinning-induced DRX behavior play crucial roles in accommodating plastic deformation during HSR and in varying microstructure and texture of the highspeed-rolled(HSRed) sheets. Area fraction of fine DRXed grains formed at the twin bands increases with increasing rolling reduction, which is attributed to the combined effects of increased strain, strain rate,and deformation temperature and a decreased critical strain for DRX. Size, internal strain, and texture intensity of the DRXed grains are smaller than those of unDRXed grains. | 2 | Assessment of scoring systems for acute-on-chronic liver failure at predicting short-term mortality in patients with alcoholic hepatitis显示文摘AIM To assess the performance of proposed scores specific for acute-on-chronic liver failure in predicting shortterm mortality among patients with alcoholic hepatitis.METHODS We retrospectively collected data from 264 patients with clinically diagnosed alcoholic hepatitis from January to December 2013 at 21 academic hospitals in Korea. The performance for predicting short-term mortality was calculated for Chronic Liver FailureSequential Organ Failure Assessment(CLIF-SOFA), CLIF Consortium Organ Failure score(CLIF-C OFs), Maddrey'sdiscriminant function(DF), age, bilirubin, international normalized ratio and creatinine score(ABIC), Glasgow Alcoholic Hepatitis Score(GAHS), model for end-stage liver disease(MELD), and MELD-Na.RESULTS Of 264 patients, 32(12%) patients died within 28 d. The area under receiver operating characteristic curve of CLIF-SOFA, CLIF-C OFs, DF, ABIC, GAHS, MELD, and MELD-Na was 0.86(0.81-0.90), 0.89(0.84-0.92), 0.79(0.74-0.84), 0.78(0.72-0.83), 0.81(0.76-0.86), 0.83(0.78-0.88), and 0.83(0.78-0.88), respectively, for 28-d mortality. The performance of CLIF-SOFA had no statistically significant differences for 28-d mortality. The performance of CLIF-C OFs was superior to that of DF, ABIC, and GAHS, while comparable to that of MELD and MELD-Na in predicting 28-d mortality. | 4 | Attenuated FOLFIRINOX in the salvage treatment of gemcitabine-refractory advanced pancreatic cancer: a phase II study显示文摘Background:Combination therapy with oxaliplatin,irinotecan,fluorouracil,and leucovorin(FOLFIRINOX)chemotherapy drastically improves survival of advanced pancreatic cancer patients.However,the efficacy of FOLFIRINOX as a second-line treatment after gemcitabine failure has not been tested prospectively.We investigated the feasibility and safety of attenuated FOLFIRINOX in patients with gemcitabine-refractory advanced pancreatic cancer.Methods:A multicenter phase II prospective open-label,single-arm study was conducted at 14 hospitals.Patients with histologically proven invasive ductal pancreatic adenocarcinoma,a measurable or evaluable lesion,Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status 0 or 1,adequate organ function,and aged 19 years or older were eligible.Attenuated FOLFIRINOX consisted of oxaliplatin 65 mg/m2,irinotecan 135 mg/m2,and leucovorin 400 mg/m2 injected intravenously on day 1 and 5-fluorouracil 2000 mg/m2 continuously infused intravenously over 46 h on days 1-2,repeated every 2 weeks.The primary endpoint was progression-free survival from the initiation of FOLFIRINOX.Secondary endpoints were the objective response rate,disease control rate,overall survival,safety,and tolerability.We estimated overall survival and progression-free survival using the Kaplan-Meier methods.Results:We enrolled 39 patients from 14 institutions.The objective response rate was 10.3%,while the disease control rate was 64.1%.The 6-month and 1-year overall survival rates were 59.0%and 15.4%,respectively.Median progression-free survival and overall survival were 3.8 months(95%confidence interval[CI]1.5-6.0 months)and 8.5 months(95%CI 5.6-11.4 months),respectively.Grade 3 or 4 adverse events were neutropenia(41.0%),nausea(10.3%),anorexia(10.3%),anemia(7.7%),mucositis(7.7%),pneumonia/pleural effusion(5.1%),and fatigue(5.1%).One treatment-related death attributable to septic shock occurred.Conclusion:Attenuated FOLFIRINOX may be promising as a second-line therapy for gemcitabine-refractory pancre-atic cancer. | Jung Hoon Kim Sang-Cheol Lee Sung Yong Oh Seo-Young Song Namsu Lee Eun Mi Nam Soonil Lee In Gyu Hwang Hyo Rak Lee Kyu Taek Lee Sang-Byung Bae Han Jo Kim Joung Soon Jang Do Hyoung Lim Hyun Woo Lee Seok Yun Kang Jung Hun Kang | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018，38，1： | 2 |

| 18 | Multidimensional Hybrid Architecture Encapsulating Cobalt Oxide Nanoparticles into Carbon Nanotube Branched Nitrogen-Doped Reduced Graphene Oxide Networks for Lithium–Sulfur Batteries显示文摘Lithium–sulfur batteries(LSBs)are regarded as promising candidates for the next-generation energy storage devices owing to their high-theoretical capacity(1675 mAh g^(−1))and affordable cost.However,several limitations of LSBs such as the lithium polysulfide shuttle,large volume expansion,and low electrical conductivity of sulfur need to be resolved for practical applications.To address these limitations,herein,a multidimensional architectured hybrid(Co@CNT/nG),where Co_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles are encapsulated into threedimensional(3D)porous N-doped reduced graphene oxide interconnected with carbon nanotube(CNT)branches,is synthesized through a simple pyrolysis method.The synergistic effect achieved through the homogeneously distributed and encapsulated Co_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles,the interconnected CNT branches,and the 3D hierarchical porous structure and N-doping of Co@CNT/nG significantly suppresses the shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides and enhances the conversion redox kinetics for the improved sulfur utilization.We validate this effect through various measurements including symmetric cells,Li_(2)S nucleation,shuttle currents,Tafel slopes,diffusion coefficients,and post-mortem analyses.Importantly,Co@CNT/nG-70S-based LSB cells achieve a high-specific capacity of 1193.1 mAh g^(−1) at 0.1 C and a low capacity decay rate of 0.030%per cycle for 700 cycles at 5 C,delivering a high areal capacity of 5.62 mAh cm^(−2) even with a loading of 6.5 mg cm^(−2). | Jeong Seok Yeon Young Hun Ko Tae Ho Park Hyunyoung Park Jongsoon Kim Ho Seok Park | 2022 | Energy & Environmental Materials2022，5，2： | 1 |
