| 1 | Layer-by-layer deposition of bioactive layers on magnesium alloy stent materials to improve corrosion resistance and biocompatibility显示文摘Magnesium alloy is considered as one of the ideal cardiovascular stent materials owing to its good mechanical properties and biodegradability.However,the in vivo rapid degradation rate and the insufficient biocompatibility restrict its clinical applications.In this study,the magnesium alloy(AZ31B)was modified by combining the surface chemical treatment and in-situ self-assembly of 16-phosphonyl-hexadecanoic acid,followed by the immobilization of chitosan-functionalized graphene oxide(GOCS).Heparin(Hep)and GOCS were alternatively immobilized on the GOCS-modified surface through layer by layer(LBL)to construct the GOCS/Hep bioactive multilayer coating,and the corrosion resistance and biocompatibility were extensively explored.The results showed that the GOCS/Hep bioactive multilayer coating can endow magnesium alloys with an excellent in vitro corrosion resistance.The GOCS/Hep multilayer coating can significantly reduce the hemolysis rate and the platelet adhesion and activation,resulting in an excellent blood compatibility.In addition,the multilayer coating can not only enhance the adhesion and proliferation of the endothelial cells,but also promote the vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and nitric oxide(NO)expression of the attached endothelial cells on the surfaces.Therefore,the method of the present study can be used to simultaneously control the corrosion resistance and improve the biocompatibility of the magnesium alloys,which is expected to promote the application of magnesium alloys in biomaterials or medical devices,especially cardiovascular stent. | Fan Gao Youdong Hu Guicai Li Sen Liu Li Quan Zhongmei Yang Yanchun Wei Changjiang Pan | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,3: | 12 |

| 6 | Long-term administration of salvianolic acid A promotes endogenous neurogenesis in ischemic stroke rats through activating Wnt3a/GSK3β/β-catenin signaling pathway显示文摘Stroke is the major cause of death and disability worldwide.Most stroke patients who survive in the acute phase of ischemia display various extents of neurological deficits.In order to improve the prognosis of ischemic stroke,promoting endogenous neurogenesis has attracted great attention.Salvianolic acid A(SAA)has shown neuroprotective effects against ischemic diseases.In the present study,we investigated the neurogenesis effects of SAA in ischemic stroke rats,and explored the underlying mechanisms.An autologous thrombus stroke model was established by electrocoagulation.The rats were administered SAA(10 mg/kg,ig)or a positive drug edaravone(5 mg/kg,iv)once a day for 14 days.We showed that SAA administration significantly decreased infarction volume and vascular embolism,and ameliorated pathological injury in the hippocampus and striatum as well as the neurological deficits as compared with the model rats.Furthermore,we found that SAA administration significantly promoted neural stem/progenitor cells(NSPCs)proliferation,migration and differentiation into neurons,enhanced axonal regeneration and diminished neuronal apoptosis around the ipsilateral subventricular zone(SVZ),resulting in restored neural density and reconstructed neural circuits in the ischemic striatum.Moreover,we revealed that SAA-induced neurogenesis was associated to activating Wnt3a/GSK3β/β-catenin signaling pathway and downstream target genes in the hippocampus and striatum.Edaravone exerted equivalent inhibition on neuronal apoptosis in the SVZ,as SAA,but edaravone-induced neurogenesis was weaker than that of SAA.Taken together,our results demonstrate that long-term administration of SAA improves neurological function through enhancing endogenous neurogenesis and inhibiting neuronal apoptosis in ischemic stroke rats via activating Wnt3a/GSK3β/β-catenin signaling pathway.SAA may be a potential therapeutic drug to promote neurogenesis after stroke. | Sen Zhang De-wen Kong Guo-dong Ma Cheng-di Liu Yu-jiao Yang Shan Liu Nan Jiang Zi-rong Pan Wen Zhang Ling-lei Kong Guan-hua Du | 2022 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2022,43,9: | 3 |
| 7 | Water model experiments of multiphase mixing in the top-blown smelting process of copper concentrate显示文摘We constructed a 1:10 cold water experimental model by geometrically scaling down an Isa smelting furnace. The mixing processes at different liquid heights, lance diameters, lance submersion depths, and gas flow rates were subsequently measured using the conductivity method. A new criterion was proposed to determine the mixing time. On this basis, the quasi-equations of the mixing time as a function of different parameters were established. The parameters of the top-blown smelting process were optimized using high-speed photography. An excessively high gas flow rate or excessively low liquid height would enhance the fluctuation and splashing of liquid in the bath, which is unfavorable for material mixing. | 8 | Porothermoelastic response of an oil sand formation subjected to injection and micro-fracturing in horizontal wells显示文摘Stimulation of unconsolidated formations via horizontal wells has seen its vast implementation in the recent development of heavy oil reservoir to save the time and cost of preheating the reservoir before the steam-assisted gravity drainage(SAGD)process.A mathematical approach was proposed in this research that fully couples the hydraulic,mechanical and thermal responses of unconsolidated sandstone formations and also applies failure criteria for describing either shear dilation or tensile parting mechanism that generates microcracks.The approach was implemented to predict the porothermoelastic response of a pair of SAGD wells subject to injection and subsequent micro-fracturing using hot water.It was found that the predicted bottom hole pressures(BHPs)match closely with the field observed data.An elliptical dilation zone developed around the dual wells with relatively high pore pressure,porosity,permeability and temperature,implying good interwell hydraulic communication between both wells.The activation of microcracks dramatically accelerated the dissipation of pore pressure across the entire formation depth and also facilitated heat convection in between the dual wells,though to a lesser extent.In summary,the approach provides a convenient means to assist field engineers in the optimization of injection efficiency and evaluation of interference among multiple horizontal wells. | Botao Lin Han Meng Jingjun Pan Sen Chen | 2020 | Petroleum Science2020,17,3: | 2 |

| 16 | Achieving high strength above 400 MPa in conventionally extruded Mg-Ca-Zn ternary alloys显示文摘In this work,the role of Zn content in modifying the microstructure and mechanical properties of the Mg-1.2Ca-xZn(x=0.6,2.0 wt.%,named as XZ10-0 and ZX21-0,respectively)based alloys was studied,and it is found that the yield strength(YS)of the present Mg-(Zn)-Ca based alloys increases monotonically with increasing the Zn concentration,from~339 MPa in low-Zn content XZ10-0 sample to~406 MPa in high-Zn content ZX21-0 sample.Microstructure characterization shows that the enhanced YS can be attributed to the grain refinement,fine and dispersed nano-phases,a large number of lamellae structures,and the decrease of recrystallization fraction.TEM results show that the formation mechanism for the ultra-fine grains in present Mg-(Zn)-Ca based alloys can be attributed to the co-segregation of Ca and Zn elements at the grain boundary,as well as the dynamic nanoprecipitations.When the Zn content is high,the nano-phases in ZX21-0 sample belong to the Ca;Mg;Zn;ternary phases,which exert much higher thermal stability than the nano-sized Mg2 Ca binary phases formed in the low-Zn content XZ10-0 sample.The finer size and higher number density of the nano-Mg Zn Ca phases lead to the much finer grain size and sub-grain lamellae thickness in ZX21-0 sample,which thus results in the higher YS of~406 MPa. | DU Sen YANG Kun LI Man LI JingRen REN YuPing HUANG QiuYan PAN HuCheng QIN GaoWu | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,3: | 1 |

In this paper, we present a reflective feature location approach Re FLex to bridge this gap. Re FLex automatically computes a reflexion model between the developer's logical view of a feature and the feature's implemented view reverse-engineered from the code. | 18 | Direction controllable inverse transition radiation from the spatial dispersion in a graphene-dielectric stack显示文摘Transition radiation(TR) induced by electron–matter interaction usually demands vast accelerating voltages, and the radiation angle cannot be controlled. Here we present a mechanism of direction controllable inverse transition radiation(DCITR) in a graphene-dielectric stack excited by low-velocity electrons. The revealed mechanism shows that the induced hyperbolic-like spatial dispersion and the superposition of the individual bulk graphene plasmons(GPs) modes make the fields, which are supposed to be confined on the surface, radiate in the stack along a special radiation angle normal to the Poynting vector. By adjusting the chemical potential of the graphene sheets, the radiation angle can be controlled. And owing to the excitation of bulk GPs, only hundreds of volts for the accelerating voltage are required and the field intensity is dramatically enhanced compared with that of the normal TR.
