| 5 | MRI of gastric carcinoma:Results of T and N-staging in an in vitro study显示文摘AIM:To determine the accuracy of 1.5-T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the evaluation of gastric wall invasion and perigastric lymph node metastasis in gastric adenocarcinoma.METHODS: Twenty resected gastric specimens containing 20 tumors were studied with a 1.5-T MR system using a commercial head surface coil. MR scanning was performed with a T1 weighted image (TR/TE = 500/20), and a T2 weighted image (TR/TE=2500/90). MR findings were compared with pathologic findings.RESULTS: A T1-weighted image demonstrated three layers in the normal gastric wall. All of the gastric tumors were well demonstrated by lesions and location. In a MRI findings of gastric wall invasion, there was 1 case of T1, 7 of T2, 11 of T3. Pathologic results of resected specimens included 3 cases of pT1, 4 of pT2, and 12 of pT3. The accuracy of T staging with MRI was 74% (14 of 19). MRI findings of lymph node me-tastasis included 6 cases of N0, 13 cases of N1. | 6 | Scalable synthesis of nanoporous silicon microparticles for highly cyclable lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Nanoporous silicon is a promising anode material for high energy density batteries due to its high cycling stability and high tap density compared to other nanostructured anode materials.However,the high cost of synthesis and low yield of nanoporous silicon limit its practical application.Here,we develop a scalable,low-cost top-down process of controlled oxidation of Mg2Si in the air,followed by HCl removal of MgO to generate nanoporous silicon without the use of HF.By controlling the synthesis conditions,the oxygen content,grain size and yield of the porous silicon are simultaneously optimized from commercial standpoints.In situ environmental transmission electron microscopy reveals the reaction mechanism;the Mg2Si microparticle reacts with O2 to form MgO and Si,while preventing SiO2 formation.Owing to the low oxygen content and microscale secondary structure,the nanoporous silicon delivers a higher initial reversible capacity and initial Coulombic efficiency compared to commercial Si nanoparticles(3,033 mAh/g vs.2,418 mAh/g,84.3%vs.73.1%).Synthesis is highly scalable,and a yield of 90.4%is achieved for the porous Si nanostructure with the capability to make an excess of 10 g per batch.Our synthetic nanoporous silicon is promising for practical applications in next generation lithium-ion batteries. | Jiangyan Wang William Huang Yong Seok Kim You Kyeong Jeong Sang Cheol Kim Jeffrey Heo Hiang Kwee Lee Bofei Liu Jaehou Nah Yi Cui | 2020 | Nano Research2020，13，6： | 9 |

| 8 | One-year clinical outcomes in invasive treatment strategies for acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock in eld-erly patients显示文摘Objective To investigate the clinical outcomes of an invasive strategy for elderly (aged≥75 years) patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) complicated by cardiogenic shock (CS). Methods Data on 366 of 409 elderly CS patients from a total of 6,132 acute STEMI cases enrolled in the Korea Acute Myocardial Infarction Registry between January 2008 and June 2011, were collected and analyzed. In-hospital deaths and the 1-month and 1-year survival rates free from major adverse cardiac events (MACE;defined as all cause death, myocardial infarction, and target vessel revascularization) were reported for the patients who had undergone invasive (n=310) and conservative (n=56) treatment strategies. Results The baseline clinical characteristics were not significantly different between the two groups. There were fewer in-hospital deaths in the invasive treatment strategy group (23.5%vs. 46.4%, P<0.001). In addition, the 1-year MACE-free survival rate after invasive treatment was significantly lower compared with the conservative treatment (51%vs. 66%, P=0.001). | 13 | Gallbladder lymphangioma:A case report and review of the literature显示文摘Lymphangiomas are rare, benign tumors of the lymphatic system, usually present in children aged 5 years and younger. Because they are asymptomatic until the mass enlarges to cause symptoms, most lymphangiomas are diagnosed at adulthood incidentally. We experienced a case of a 60-year-old man diagnosed with a cystic lymphangioma of the gallbladder, which was successfully resected without any complication. Magnetic resonance imaging and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography were very helpful for the diagnosis of the cystic lesion around the gallbladder as were ultrasonography and computed tomography scan. These showed a multi-lobulated cystic mass with intact cystic duct and bile duct in the gallbladder fossa. The patient underwent an open cholecystectomy and the histological findings were consistent with a cystic lymphangioma of the gallbladder.
