1Multi-agent reinforcement learning for edge information sharing in vehicular networks显示文摘To guarantee the heterogeneous delay requirements of the diverse vehicular services,it is necessary to design a full cooperative policy for both Vehicle to Infrastructure(V2I)and Vehicle to Vehicle(V2V)links.This paper investigates the reduction of the delay in edge information sharing for V2V links while satisfying the delay requirements of the V2I links.Specifically,a mean delay minimization problem and a maximum individual delay minimization problem are formulated to improve the global network performance and ensure the fairness of a single user,respectively.A multi-agent reinforcement learning framework is designed to solve these two problems,where a new reward function is proposed to evaluate the utilities of the two optimization objectives in a unified framework.Thereafter,a proximal policy optimization approach is proposed to enable each V2V user to learn its policy using the shared global network reward.The effectiveness of the proposed approach is finally validated by comparing the obtained results with those of the other baseline approaches through extensive simulation experiments.Ruyan Wang Xue Jiang Yujie Zhou Zhidu Li Dapeng Wu Tong Tang Alexander Fedotov Vladimir Badenko 2022Digital Communications and Networks2022,8,3:3

4OFDMA-PON with MQAM downlink for flexible allocation显示文摘In this paper, the 40-Gbps orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA) technology enabled by subcarrier allocation in the form of integrated architecture for the intra-cell is proposed in the downlink transmission passive broadband optical access system. The data-carrying subcarriers in the inverse fast Fourier transform/fast Fourier transform(IFFT/FFT) size of1 024 points are successfully divided into three sub-channels,in which each sub-channel has 256 useful subcarriers, by using adaptive dynamic bandwidth allocation(DBA). Taking the inherent advantages of M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation(MQAM)modulation mechanism into account, the performance of the absolutely identical MQAM format over the different sub-channels for the downstream OFDMA-passive optical network(PON) is investigated based on the intensity modulation direct detection(IMDD) system by simulations. The results show that three parallel4 QAM or 16 QAM or 64 QAM OFDMA data, which are transmitted over three sub-channels, is more suitable for different sub-channel allocations, respectively. 8Ethnobotanical survey of plants traditionally used against hematophagous invertebrates by ethnic groups in the mountainous area of Xishuangbanna, Southwest China显示文摘Hematophagous invertebrates such as mosquitoes,leeches,mites,ticks,lice and bugs cause various problems for humans.Considering reports on insecticide resistance and requirements for improved environmental and toxicological profiles,there is a continuing need to discover and develop new insecticides and repellents.Ethnobotanical surveys of traditional plant-based repellents provide a direct method of identifying plants for potential use.During five field surveys in Bulang,Jinuo and Lahu villages between August 2018 and July 2019,semi-structured interviews were conducted with 237 informants(151 male,86 female;mean age 63).Frequency of citation,use value,informant consensus factor and Jaccard index were employed to statistically analyze the collected data.A total of 709 use reports relating to 32 plant species and 71 remedies were collected.Similarities and differences between the three groups,as well as the Dai and Hani of Xishuangbanna,who were studied earlier,were shown through network analysis.These five ethnic groups living in the same area have a common understanding of traditional botanical knowledge against hematophagous invertebrates,but each group also possesses unique knowledge.Recording and protecting this traditional knowledge is potentially useful for protecting this cultural diversity and related biodiversity and can also have important practical applications.In this study,traditional knowledge provided us with many new potential plants for follow-up research for the development of new insecticides and repellents,among which Artemisia indica,Nicotiana tabacum and Clausena excavata are the most promising.Yi Gou Zhennan Li Ruyan Fan Zuchuan Qiu Lu Wang Chen Wang Yuhua Wang 2020Plant Diversity2020,42,6:1
9Deep space multi-file delivery protocol based on LT codes显示文摘A deep space multi-file delivery protocol(DSMDP) based on LT codes is proposed to reduce the influence of long delay and a high bit error rate(BER) in deep space communication. The protocol increases sending redundancy by LT codes to improve the success rate of file delivery, and adopts different protective strategies for different situations of packet loss. At the same time, the multi-file united delivery strategy is adopted to make full use of the retransmission time to reduce the end-toend transmission delay. Furthermore, the protocol determines the quantity of encoded packets according to the feedback for controlling redundancy. 10Automatic sub-pixel coastline extraction based on spectral mixture analysis using EO-1 Hyperion data显示文摘Many megacities (such as Shanghai) are located in coastal areas, therefore, coastline monitoring is critical for urban security and urban development sustainability. A shoreline is defined as the intersection between coastal land and a water surface and features seawater edge movements as tides rise and fall. Remote sensing techniques have increasingly been used for coastline extraction;however, traditional hard classification methods are performed only at the pixel-level and extracting subpixel accuracy using soft classification methods is both challenging and time consuming due to the complex features in coastal regions. This paper presents an automatic sub-pixel coastline extraction method (ASPCE) from high-spectral satellite imaging that performs coastline extraction based on spectral mixture analysis and, thus, achieves higher accuracy. The ASPCE method consists of three main components: 1) A Water-Vegetation-Impervious-Soil (W-V-I-S) model is first presented to detect mixed W-V-I-S pixels and determine the endmember spectra in coastal regions;2) The linear spectral mixture unmixing technique based on Fully Constrained Least Squares (FCLS) is applied to the mixed W-V-I-S pixels to estimate seawater abundance;and 3) The spatial attraction model is used to extract the coastline. We tested this new method using EO-1 images from three coastal regions in China: the South China Sea, the East China Sea, and the Bohai Sea. The results showed that the method is accurate and robust. Root mean square error (RMSE) was utilized to evaluate the accuracy by calculating the distance differences between the extracted coastline and the digitized coastline. The classifier’s performance was compared with that of the Multiple Endmember Spectral Mixture Analysis (MESMA), Mixture Tuned Matched Filtering (MTMF), Sequential Maximum Angle Convex Cone (SMACC), Constrained Energy Minimization (CEM), and one classical Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI). The results from the three test sites indicated that the proposed ASPCE method extracted coastlines more efficiently than did the compared methods, and its coastline extraction accuracy corresponded closely to the digitized coastline, with 0.39 pixels, 0.40 pixels, and 0.35 pixels in the three test regions, showing that the ASPCE method achieves an accuracy below 12.0 m (0.40 pixels). Moreover, in the quantitative accuracy assessment for the three test sites, the ASPCE method shows the best performance in coastline extraction, achieving a 0.35 pixel-level at the Bohai Sea, China test site. 11Auction-based profit maximization offloading in mobile edge computing显示文摘Offloading Mobile Devices(MDs)computation tasks to Edge Nodes(ENs)is a promising solution to overcome computation and energy resources limitations of MDs.However,there exists an unreasonable profit allocation problem between MDs and ENs caused by the excessive concern on MD profit.In this paper,we propose an auction-based computation offloading algorithm,inspiring ENs to provide high-quality service by maximizing the profit of ENs.Firstly,a novel cooperation auction framework is designed to avoid overall profit damage of ENs,which is derived from the high computation delay at the overloaded ENs.Thereafter,the bidding willingness of each MD in every round of auction is determined to ensure MD rationality.Furthermore,we put forward a payment rule for the pre-selected winner to effectively guarantee auction truthfulness.Finally,the auction-based profit maximization offloading algorithm is proposed,and the MD is allowed to occupy the computation and spectrum resources of the EN for offloading if it wins the auction.Numerical results verify the performance of the proposed algorithm.Compared with the VA algorithm,the ENs profit is increased by 23.8%,and the task discard ratio is decreased by 7.5%.Ruyan Wang Chunyan Zang Peng He Yaping Cui Dapeng Wu 2023Digital Communications and Networks2023,9,2:0
12A case study on sample average approximation method for stochastic supply chain network design problem显示文摘This study aims to solve a typical long-term strategic decision problem on supply chain network design with consideration to uncertain demands. Existing methods for these problems are either deterministic or limited in scale. We analyze the impact of uncertainty on demand based on actual large data from industrial companies.Deterministic equivalent model with nonanticipativity constraints, branch-and-fix coordination, sample average approximation(SAA) with Bayesian bootstrap, and Latin hypercube sampling were adopted to analyze stochastic demands. 13UTM:A trajectory privacy evaluating model for online health monitoring显示文摘A huge amount of sensitive personal data is being collected by various online health monitoring applications.Although the data is anonymous,the personal trajectories(e.g.,the chronological access records of small cells)could become the anchor of linkage attacks to re-identify the users.Focusing on trajectory privacy in online health monitoring,we propose the User Trajectory Model(UTM),a generic trajectory re-identification risk predicting model to reveal the underlying relationship between trajectory uniqueness and aggregated data(e.g.,number of individuals covered by each small cell),and using the parameter combination of aggregated data to further mathematically derive the statistical characteristics of uniqueness(i.e.,the expectation and the variance).Eventually,exhaustive simulations validate the effectiveness of the UTM in privacy risk evaluation,confirm our theoretical deductions and present counter-intuitive insights.Zhigang Yang Ruyan Wang Dapeng Wu Daizhong Luo 2021Digital Communications and Networks2021,7,3:0
