| 3 | Sustaining enhanced condensation on hierarchical mesh-covered surfaces显示文摘Controlling the solid–liquid–vapor tri-phase interface is of fundamental importance for a broad range of industrial applications including biomedical engineering, energy production and utilization, environmental control, water production, and thermal management. Although a lot of progress has been made over the past few decades on surface manipulation for promoting droplet removal, it is challenging to accelerate both droplet growth and surface refreshing for enhancing vapor-to-liquid condensation. Here we present a superhydrophobic hierarchical mesh-covered(hi-mesh) surface to enable continuous sucking flow of liquid condensate, which achieves fourfold-higher droplet growth and 36.8% faster surface refreshing compared to the state-of-the-art dropwise condensation. Unprecedented enhanced condensation heat transfer is observed to be sustained over a wide range of surface subcooling on the hi-mesh surfaces. It covers southern Hunan, southern Jiangxi, Guangxi, Guangdong and Fujian provinces, with a total area of about 550,000 km2. This metallogenic province is well known in the world for its rich tungsten and tin resources. In the past 40-odd years, a vast amount of mineral exploration activities and studies of the geology of mineral deposits have been carried out and great achievements obtained in the province. This paper is focused on a discussion about the deep tectonic processes in the orogenic belt during the Mesozoic and their contribution to the superaccumulation of metals. | 7 | A novel Al-10Si-2Fe master alloy and its ef ect on inoculation of eutectic cells in Sr-modii ed A356 alloy显示文摘To investigate the possibility of inoculating eutectic cells, a novel Al-10Si-2Fe master alloy was synthesized and tested in Sr-modifi ed A356 alloy. The new master alloy that consists of α-Al, Si and β-Al5FeSi phases was prepared by a casting process, and the silicon phase was found to grow epitaxially from the β-Al5FeSi particles. The inoculation effi ciency of the new master alloy on Sr-modifi ed A356 alloy has been investigated by quenching experiment and thermal analysis. With the addition of the new master alloy, the area density of eutectic cells is effectively increased by 100% and the eutectic growth temperature is increased by 1.5 oC. Therefore, the new master alloy is deduced to introduce nucleating substrates for eutectic cells and to refi ne the eutectic cells in Sr-modifi ed A356 alloy. There is no poisonous interaction between the Al-10Si-2Fe master alloy and the Sr in this study. | 8 | Origin and Geological Significance of TTG Gneisses from the Maevatanana Greenstone Belt in North-Central Madagascar,and A Comparison with India显示文摘The Maevatanana greenstone belt in north-central Madagascar contains widespread exposures of tonalite-trondhjemite-granodiorite(TTG) gneisses,and is important for its concentrations of various metal deposits(e.g.,chromium,nickle,iron,gold).In this paper we report on the petrography,and major and trace element compositions of the TTG gneisses within the Berere Complex of the Maevatanana area,as well as LA-ICP-MS U-Pb ages and Lu-Hf isotopic compositions of zircons from the gneisses.The gneisses consist mainly of granitoid gneiss and biotite(±hornblende) plagiogneiss,and analysis of thin sections provides evidence of crushing,recrystallization,and metasomatism related to dynamic metamorphism.Samples have large variations in their major and trace element contents,with SiO_2 = 55.87-68.06 wt%,Al_2O_3 = 13.9-17.8 wt%,and Na_2O/K_2O =0.97-2.13.Geochemically,the granitoid gneisses and biotite plagiogneisses fall on a low-Al trondhjemite to granodiorite trend,while the biotite-hornblende plagiogneisses represent a high-Al tonalite TTG assemblage.Zircon U-Pb dating shows that the Berere Complex TTG gneisses formed at2.5-2.4 Ga.Most ε_(Hf(t)) values of zircons from the biotite(± hornblende) plagiogneisses are positive,while most ε_(Hf(t)) values from the granitoid gneisses are negative,suggesting a degree of crustal contamination.Two-stage Hf model ages suggest that the age of the protolith of the TTG gneisses was ca.3.4-2.6 Ga,representing a period of paleocontinent formation in the Mesoarchean.Geothermometries indicate the temperature of metamorphism of the TTG gneisses was 522-612℃.Based on these data,the protolith of the TTG gneisses is inferred to have formed during the development of a Mesoarchean paleocontinent that is now widely exposed as a TTG gneiss belt(mostly lower amphibolite facies) in the Maevatanana area,and which records a geological evolution related to the subduction of an ancient oceanic crust and the collision of microcontinents during the formation of the Rodinia supercontinent.The lithological similarity of Precambrian basement,the close ages of metamorphism within greenstone belts and the comparable distribution of metamorphic grade all show a pronounced Precambrian geology similarity between Madagascar and India,which can provide significative clues in understanding the possible Precambrian Supercontinent tectonics,and also important constraints on the correlation of the two continental fragments. | LI Peng LI Jiankang LIU Shanbao PEI Rongfu SHI Guanghai | 2017 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,3: | 7 |

| 10 | Characterization and biological evaluation of a novel silver nanoparticle-loaded collagen-chitosan dressing显示文摘Effective coverage and protection is a priority in wound treatment.Collagen and chitosan have been widely used for wound dressings due to their excellent biological activity and biocompatibility.Silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)have a powerful antibacterial effect.In this study,a macromolecular and small-molecular collagen mixed solution,a macromolecular and small-molecular chitosan mixed solution were prepared,and a silver nanoparticle-loaded collagen-chitosan dressing(AgNPCCD)has been proposed.First,the effects of a collagen-chitosan mixed solution on the proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells and the secretion of cytokines were evaluated.Then,the characteristics and antibacterial effects of the AgNP-CCD were tested,and the effects on wound healing and the influence of wound cytokine expression were investigated via a deep second-degree burn wound model.The results showed that at the proper proportion and concentration,the collagen-chitosan mixed solution effectively promoted cell proliferation and regulated the levels of growth factors(vascular endothelial growth factor[VEGF],epidermal growth factor[EGF],plateletderived growth factor[PDGF],transforming growth factor[TGF-b1],basic fibroblastic growth factor[bFGF])and inflammatory factors(TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6,IL-8).Moreover,AgNP solutions at lower concentrations exerted limited inhibitory effects on cell proliferation and had no effect on cytokine secretion.The AgNP-CCD demonstrated satisfactory morphological and physical properties as well as efficient antibacterial activities.An in vivo evaluation indicated that AgNP-CCD could accelerate the healing process of deep second-degree burn wounds and played an important role in the regulation of growth and inflammatory factors,including VEGF,EGFL-7,TGF-β1,bFGF,TNF-α and IL-1β.This AgNP-CCD exerted excellent biological effects on wound healing promotion and cytokine expression regulation. | Rongfu Li Zhaorong Xu Qiong Jiang Yunquan Zheng Zhaohong Chen Xiaodong Chen | 2020 | Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,4: | 4 |

| 12 | Geology, Geochemistry, and Geochronology of the Fenghuangshan Skarn-type Copper Deposit in the Tongling Ore Cluster, Anhui Province, East China显示文摘The Fenghuangshan skarn-type Cu deposit, Tongling Ore Cluster, Anhui Province, is an important component in the Middle-Lower Yangtze River ore-forming belt. To better understand magmatism and its relationship to mineralization, we investigated geochemical features, ore-forming fluids, and geochronology of the Xinwuli intrusion and the related Fenghuangshan Cu deposit. Lithogeochemical characteristics show that the Xinwuli quartz monzodiorite is formed by mixing magma derived from upper mantle alkaline basalt that has been contaminated by crust materials. C, H and O isotopes indicate that ore-forming fluids mainly come from the magma, with minor amounts of meteoric fluids involved at the late stage. S and Pb isotopic components indicate that ore-forming materials are derived from the mantle. Molybdenite Re-Os isotopic dating yields Re-Os model ages ranging from 139.1±2.4 Ma to 142.0±2.2 Ma, with an isochronal age of 141.1±1.4 Ma, which is consistent with sensitive, high-resolution ion microprobe (SHRIMP) zircon U-Pb ages of quartz monzodiorite and granodiorite in the mining area. We have projected above 445 large-superlarge deposits on (1:5 M) global tectonic background map and divided 4 metallogenic domains, 21 metallogenic belts. | 14 | Rapid velocity reduction and drift potential assessment of off-nozzle pesticide droplets显示文摘The droplet velocity and diameter significantly affect both the spatial drift loss and the interfacial deposition behaviors, thus determining the ultimate utilization efficiency during pesticide spraying.Investigating the spatial velocity and diameter evolutions can reveal the mechanism of drift loss and guide to design regulation strategy. Here, we explored the spatial velocity distribution of droplets after leaving the nozzle by particle image velocimetry technology and particle tracking model, considering that the effect of nozzle configuration and the air velocity. It shows that all droplets decelerate rapidly with the velocity attenuation ratio ranging from 50% to 80% within the region of 200 mm below the nozzle.The spatial velocity evolution differences between droplets in crossflow are determined by the competition of vertical drag force and net gravity, and the drag force sharply increases as the droplet diameter decreases, especially for that smaller than 150 μm. Based on the spatial evolution differences of the droplet velocity and diameter, a functional adjuvant was added to the liquid for improving the diameter distribution. | 16 | One-step and high-density protein immobilization on epoxysilane-modified silica nanoparticles显示文摘Silica nanoparticles are most commonly modified with amino-silanes, followed by post-modification activation for protein immobilization. In this work, epoxy-functionalized silica nanoparticles were prepared by modification with glycidyloxypropyl trimethoxysilane (GPTMS) for direct protein immobilization. Silica nanoparticles possessed an average size of 46 nm, but increased to 63 nm after GPTMS modification. Reaction time, reaction temperature and GPTMS content had no significant effect on particle size. Zeta potential of SiO2 changed from ?26mV to +38mV after modification. Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy revealed alkyl C-H bending and stretching bands at 2944 cm-1, 1343 cm-1 and 1465 cm-1, respectively, for the modified nanoparticles. Fluorescein cadaverine was found to bind to GPTMS-modified SiO2, but not to bare SiO2, indicating the chemical reactivity of epoxy groups on the modified nanoparticle with amines. Finally, fluorescently labeled bovine serum albumin (BSA) was used as a model protein to investigate the capacity of epoxy-SiO2 nanoparticles for protein immobilization. The results showed that more proteins were immobilized on the particle with longer reaction time, higher NaCl concentration, lower pH, and less GPTMS content. More importantly, proteins bound to epoxy-SiO2 nanoparticle were highly stable. Under optimized reaction conditions, as much as 25 mg BSA/g nanoparticle was covalently attached to the nanoparticle. | 17 | HIF-1α与VEGF及MVD在食管鳞癌组织中的表达及意义(英文)显示文摘Objective:To investigate the correlations among the expressions of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α),vas-cular endothelial cell growth factor(VEGF) and microvessel density(MVD),and their relationships to the clinicopathologic characteristics of esophageal squamous cell carcinomas(ESCC).Methods:The expressions of HIF-1α,VEGF and MVD were detected by immunohistochemical method in 45 cases of ESCC,30 intraepithelial neoplasia and 35 normal esophageal mucosal epithelia tissues.The correlations among the expressions of HIF-1a,VEGF and MVD,and their relationships to the clinicopathologic features of ESCC were analyzed.Results:The rate of positive expression of HIF-1α and VEGF which were 80% and 84% in ESCC were significantly higher than those in intraepithelial neoplasia and normal esophageal mucosal epi-thelium tissues (P < 0.01) and so did the MVD value which was 71.10 ± 15.02 in ESCC(P < 0.01).The expression of HIF-1α and VEGF were positively correlated with the depth of tumor invasion,lymph node metastasis and TNM staging of ESCC.The expressions of HIF-1α were positively correlated with the expressions of VEGF and the value of MVD.Conclusion:Overexpression of HIF-1α is found in ESCC.HIF-1α may induce the angiogenesis in ESCC by upregulating the transcription of VEGF gene.It may play an important role in the carcinogenesis and aggression in ESCC,HIF-1α,VEGF and MVD may be a useful marker for evaluating the biological behaviors of ESCC. | Feng Liu Xiaolong Yang Boying Ding Gang Ren Rongfu Gong | 2009 | The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2009,8,4: | 2 |
