2The M_S7.1 Yushu earthquake surface rupture and large historical earthquakes on the Garzê-Yushu Fault显示文摘As revealed by field investigations,the co-seismic surface rupture zone of the 2010 MS7.1 Yushu earthquake,Qinghai is a characteristic sinistral strike-slip feature consisting of three distinct sinistral primary ruptures,with an overall strike of 310°-320° and a total length of 31 km.In addition,an approximately 2-km-long en-echelon tensile fissure zone was found east of Longbao Town;if this site is taken as the north end of the rupture zone,then the rupture had a total length of ~51 km.The surface rupture zone is composed of a series of fissures arranged in an en-echelon or alternating relationship between compressive bulges and tensile fissures,with a measured maximum horizontal displacement of 1.8 m.The surface rupture zone extends along the mapped Garzê-Yushu Fault,which implicates it as the seismogenic fault for this earthquake.Historically,a few earthquakes with a magnitude of about 7 have occurred along the fault,and additionally traces of paleoearthquakes are evident that characterize the short-period recurrence interval of large earthquakes here.Similar to the seismogenic process of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake,the Yushu earthquake is also due to the stress accumulation and release on the block boundaries resulting from the eastward expansion of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.However,in contrast with the Wenchuan earthquake,the Yushu earthquake had a sinistral strike-slip mechanism resulting from the uneven eastward extrusion of the Baryan Har and Sichuan-Yunnan fault blocks.CHEN LiChun WANG Hu RAN YongKang SUN XinZhe SU GuiWu WANG Ji TAN XiBin LI ZhiMin ZHANG XiaoQing 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,31:17
3Efficacy of intravenous zoledronic acid in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis:A meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:To compare the eflect of zoledronic acid in treatment and prevention of osteoporosis with placebo.Methods:Random control trials regarding zoleilroiiic acid in treatment of osteoporosis were retrieved by selecting Medline.EMbase and Pubmed databases till April 2012. The RevMan software was used for all of the statistical analysis.Results:A total of 9 trials were included in this meta-analysis.The pooled effect shewed that zoledronic acid could increase the bone mineral density by 2.98 times compared with placebo,and reduce the rate of fracture in patients by 32%.The results should the zoledronic acid intervention had significantly less serious adverse events than controls,and the odds ratio was 0.81(0.76-0.87).The longer term intervention, more than 12 months intervention,could gain a better prevention effect for osteoporosis(OR,95% CI for RMD was 3.35.2.77-3.92:for fracture was 0.67.0.54-0.82).Conclusions:This present study shows that zoledronic acid could be effective approach in the prevention of osteoporosis,and could increase the bone mineral density and reduce the risk ol facture.Jun Zhang Ran Wang Yi-Lei Zhao Xiao-Hui Sun Hong-Xing Zhao Tan Lu De-Cai Chen Hai-Bin Xu 2012Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2012,5,9:14

6Development of synthetic volatile attractant for male Ectropis obliqua moths显示文摘The tea geometrid Ectropis obliqua is one of the most serious leaf-feeding insect pests in tea(Camellia sinensis) in East Asia. Although several volatile chemicals emitted from tea plants have been reported to be attractive to E. obliqua moths, no synthetic attractants for E. obliqua moths have been developed. By measuring the behavioral responses of the moth to a series of chemicals in the lab, we found that a blend containing a ternary mixture containing(Z)-3-hexenal,(Z)-3-hexenyl hexanoate and benzyl alcohol clearly attracted to E. obliqua moths of both sex and that(Z)-3-hexenyl acetate could enhance the attractiveness of the ternary blend. Moreover, we found that the volatiles emitted from the plant-E. obliqua larva complex have the same attractiveness as: 1) the blend of volatiles containing the ternary mixture and 2) the blend containing(Z)-3-hexenyl acetate plus the ternary mixture to both male and female moths. In a field bioassay, more male moths were observed on traps that were baited with the blend containing(Z)-3-hexenyl acetate plus the ternary mixture than on control traps. 10Psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on healthcare workers:a cross-sectional study in China显示文摘Background Healthcare workers fighting against the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic are under tremendous pressure,which puts them at an increased risk of developing psychological problems.Aims This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of psychological problems in different healthcare workers(ie,physicians,medical residents,nurses,technicians and public health professionals)during the COVID-19 pandemic in China and explore factors that are associated with the onset of psychological problems in this population during this public health crisis.Methods A cross-sectional,web-based survey was conducted in February 2020 among healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.Psychological problems were assessed using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale,Patient Health Questionnaire and Insomnia Severity Index.Logistic regression analyses were used to explore the factors that were associated with psychological problems.Results The prevalence of symptoms of anxiety,depression,insomnia and the overall psychological problems in healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic in China was 46.04%,44.37%,28.75%and 56.59%,respectively.The prevalence of the overall psychological problems in physicians,medical residents,nurses,technicians and public health professionals was 60.35%,50.82%,62.02%,57.54%and 62.40%,respectively.Compared with healthcare workers who did not participate in front-line work,front-line healthcare workers had a higher risk of anxiety,insomnia and overall psychological problems.In addition,attention to negative or neutral information about the pandemic,receiving negative feedback from families and friends who joined front-line work,and unwillingness to join front-line work if given a free choice were three major factors for these psychological problems.Conclusions Psychological problems are pervasive among healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.Receiving negative information and participating in front-line work appear to be.important risk factors for psychological problems.The psychological health of different healthcare workers should be protected during the COVID-19 pandemic with timely interventions and proper information feedback.Jianyu Que Le Shi Jiahui Deng Jiajia Liu Li Zhang Suying Wu Yimiao Gong Weizhen Huang Kai Yuan Wei Yan Yankun Sun Maosheng Ran Yanping Bao Lin Lu 2020General Psychiatry2020,33,3:8

12Analysis of the Structure and Propagation of a Simulated Squall Line on 14 June 2009显示文摘A squall line on 14 June 2009 in the provinces of Jiangsu and Anhui was well simulated using the Advanced Regional Prediction System(ARPS) model. Based on high resolution spatial and temporal data, a detailed analysis of the structural features and propagation mechanisms of the squall line was conducted. The dynamic and thermodynamic structural characteristics and their causes were analyzed in detail. Unbalanced flows were found to play a key role in initiating gravity waves during the squall line's development. The spread and development of the gravity waves were sustained by convection in the wave-CISK process. The squall line's propagation and development mainly relied on the combined effect of gravity waves at the midlevel and cold outflow along the gust front. New cells were continuously forced by the cold pool outflow and were enhanced and lifted by the intense upward motion. 14Interleukin-17 plays a critical role in the acute rejection of intestinal transplantation显示文摘AIM:To investigate the role of interleukin(IL)-17 in small bowel allograft rejection.METHODS:We detected the expression of helper T cell 17(Th17)cells in biopsy specimens from 3 cases of living small bowel transplantation in our department through immunofluorescence stain.We then established a rat heterotopic small bowel transplantation model.The rats were sacrificed on the 1st,2nd,3rd,5th, and 7th d after small bowel transplantation.The degrees of transplantation rejection in rat intestine graft were examined through hematoxylin eosin(HE)stain, and the expression of Th17 cells in rat intestine graft were detected through immunofluorescence stain. In addition,the recipient rats undergoing intestinal transplantation were administrated with mouse-anti-rat IL-17 monoclonal antibody(mAb),and the survival of rats was analyzed.The recipient rats which received mouse-anti-rat IL-17 mAb treatment were sacrificed on the 1st,2nd,3rd,5th,and 7th d after small bowel transplantation.The degrees of transplantation rejection and the expression of Th17 cells in rat intestine graft were detected through HE and immunofluorescence stain. The expression of IL-17,IL-1β,tumor necroses factor receptor-α(TNF-α),IL-6,and IL-8 in the intestine graft or serum were also detected. RESULTS:The expressions of Th17 cells ran parallel with the degree of acute rejection in human intestine grafts.The intestine graft rejection of rats was aggravated with prolonged duration after intestinal transplantation,and the expressions of Th17 cells were also correlated with the degree of acute rejection in rat intestine grafts.Administration of mouse-anti-rat IL-17 mAb prolonged the survival of rats after small bowel transplantation(P<0.001).Furthermore,we found that the administration of mouse-anti-rat IL-17 mAb significantly decreased the intensity of CD4+IL-17+Th17 cells in intestine grafts on the 2nd,3rd,5th,and the 7th d (97.22±4.05vs 12.45±2.02 on the 7th d,P<0.0001), and suppressed the severity of acute rejection.The expression of IL-17 in the intestine graft declined after mouse-anti-rat IL-17 mAb administration on the 2nd,3rd,5th,and the 7th d(0.88±0.03 vs 0.35±0.02 on the 7th d,P<0.0001).We also detected the IL-17 serum level and found that the IL-17 level reduced from the 1st d to the 7th d(6.52±0.18 ng/mL vs 2.04±0.15 ng/mL on the 7th d,P<0.0001).No significant difference in the level of IL-17 mRNA in the intestine graft was identified between the two groups.The levels of IL-1β,TNF-α, IL-6,and IL-8 mRNA in the intestine graft after the administration of mouse-anti-rat IL-17 mAb were also tested.We found that on the 3rd,5th,and 7th d after intestinal transplantation,administration of mouse-anti- rat IL-17 mAb significantly inhibited the levels of IL-1β (12.11±1.16 vs 1.27±0.15 on the 7th d,P<0.001), TNF-α(27.37±2.60 vs 1.06±0.26 on the 7th d,P< 0.001),IL-6(21.43±1.79 vs 1.90±0.32 on the 7th d, P<0.001),and IL-8(20.44±1.44 vs 1.34±0.20 on the 7th d,P<0.001)mRNA in the intestine graft. 15Effect of Heat Treatment on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Quenching and Partitioning Steel显示文摘In order to investigate the effect of microstructural characterization on the mechanical properties and retained austenite stability, a different type of quenching and partitioning steel(I-Q&P) through intercritical annealing before the quenching and partitioning process was designed, which can realize lamellar intercritical microstructure compared to the conventional quenching and partitioning(Q&P) process. The morphology of ferrite and martensite/retained austenite is lamellar in the I-Q&P steel while it is equiaxed after being heat-treated by conventional Q&P process. The I-Q&P steel is proved to have better formability and mechanical properties than conventional Q&P steel, which is due to the highervolume fraction of retained austenite in the I-Q&P steel and confirmed by electron backscattering diffraction patterns and X-ray diffraction. 16Reservoir Characteristics and Preservation Conditions of Longmaxi Shale in the Upper Yangtze Block, South China显示文摘The Upper Ordovician-Lower Silurian Longmaxi Shale in the Upper Yangtze block represents one of the most important shale gas plays in China. The shale composition,porosity,organic thermal maturity,and methane sorption were investigated at the Qilongcun section in the Dingshan area,southeastern Sichuan Basin. The results show that the Upper Ordovician-Lower Silurian Longmaxi Shale contains:(1) sapropelic I organic matter;(2) a 40-m thick bedded sequence where total organic carbon(TOC) content is > 2%;(3) a 30-m thick layer at the base of the Longmaxi Shale with a brittle mineral content higher than 50%; and(4) a mean methane adsorption capacity of 1.80 cm^3/g(7 MPa pressure). A positive correlation between TOC and sorbed gas indicates that organic matter content exerts an important control on methane storage capacity. Based on the analysis of the shale reservoir characteristics,the lower member of the Longmaxi Shale can thus be considered a favorable stratum for shale gas exploration and exploitation. It has similar reservoir characteristics with the Longmaxi Shale in the Jiaoshiba area tested with a high-yield industrial gas flow. However,based on tectonic analysis,differences in the level of industrial gas flow between the low-yield study area and the high-yield Jiaoshiba area may result from different tectonic preservation conditions. Combining the advantages of the adsorptive membranes and nanomaterials, organic–inorganic hybrid/blend membranes have been developed explosively. These hybrid/blend membranes have both the characteristics of high permeability, easy fabrication, good biocompatibility of adsorptive membranes, and characteristics of fast adsorption rate and high adsorption capacity of nanomaterials. The preparation and modification methodology of the separation materials is reviewed. For affinity separation materials, the relationship of ligand chemistry, ligand density and pores of the matrix is discussed. 19Blocking of the PD-1/PD-L1 interaction by a novel cyclic peptide inhibitor for cancer immunotherapy显示文摘The interaction of PD-1/PD-L1 allows tumor cells to escape from immune surveillance.Clinical success of the antibody drugs has proven that blockade of PD-1/PD-L1 pathway is a promising strategy for cancer immunotherapy.Here,we developed a cyclic peptide C8 by using Ph.D.-C7 C phage display technology.C8 showed high binding affinity with h PD-1 and could effectively interfere the interaction of PD-1/PD-L1.Furthermore,C8 could stimulate CD8^(+)T cell activation in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs).We also observed that C8 could suppress tumor growth in CT26 and B16-OVA,as well as anti-PD-1 antibody resistant B16 mouse model.CD8^(+)T cells infiltration significantly increased in tumor microenvironment,and IFN-γsecretion by CD8^(+)T cells in draining lymph nodes also increased.Simultaneously,we exploited T cells depletion models and confirmed that C8 exerted anti-tumor effects via activating CD8^(+)T cells dependent manner.The interaction model of C8 with h PD-1 was simulated and confirmed by alanine scanning.In conclusion,C8 shows anti-tumor capability by blockade of PD-1/PD-L1 interaction,and C8 may provide an alternative candidate for cancer immunotherapy.Wenjie Zhai Xiuman Zhou Mingxia Zhai Wanqiong Li Yunhui Ran Yixuan Sun Jiangfeng Du Wenshan Zhao Lingxiao Xing Yuanming Qi Yanfeng Gao 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,4:5
