13圆形不锈钢管混凝土压弯承载力设计方法研究显示文摘不锈钢管混凝土结构兼具了普通钢管混凝土良好的力学性能和优越的耐久性特点,不仅因其灌注了混凝土,工程造价上得到相对降低,同时其被应用于海洋平台、海边建筑、桥梁和超高层建筑时,后期维护成本较普通钢管混凝土结构亦得到显著降低,如中国香港的昂船洲大桥和纽约赫斯特大厦等实际工程中已应用不锈钢管混凝土结构。现行的钢管混凝土结构规范或规程,因对不锈钢显著的后期强化特征未予考虑,承载力计算均偏于保守。为使得不锈钢管混凝土组合结构在应用于实际工程时,其良好的承载力得以准确评估,结合圆形不锈钢管混凝土组合结构在压弯荷载作用下的工况,探讨了圆形不锈钢管混凝土压弯承载力的设计方法。采用现行的中国国家标准GB 50936—2014《钢管混凝土结构技术规范》、福建省地方标准DBJ/T 13-51—2010《钢管混凝土结构技术规程》、欧洲规范Eurocode 4和美国钢结构协会规范ANSI/AISC 360四本规范对收集到的40根圆形不锈钢管混凝土压弯构件的承载力进行了计算,并将承载力计算值与承载力实测值进行了对比,可知:GB 50936规范的承载力计算值和实测值比值的平均值与方差分别为0.871和0.105;DBJ/T规范的承载力计算值与实测值比值的平均值与方差分别为0.868和0.073;EC4规范的承载力计算值与实测值比值的平均值与方差分别为0.832和0.067;AISC规范的承载力计算值和实测值平均值与方差分别为0.612和0.122。鉴于上述现行规范或规程计算的圆形不锈钢管混凝土压弯构件的承载力结果均偏于保守,利用有限元软件,建立了圆形不锈钢管混凝土压弯构件有限元模型,在验证模型准确性的基础上,分析了不锈钢屈服强度、截面含钢率、核心混凝土强度和长细比对圆形不锈钢管混凝土压弯构件的轴力-弯矩相关曲线的影响,结果表明:轴力-弯矩相关曲线平衡点的横、纵坐标值随着不锈钢屈服强度和截面含钢率的增大而减小,随着核心混凝土强度的增高而增大;长细比越大,轴力-弯矩相关曲线趋近于直线。最后,在DBJ/T规程建议的圆形普通钢管混凝土压弯构件相对轴力-相对弯矩强度相关方程的基础上,重新回归平衡点坐标值与约束系数的关系,以适用于圆形不锈钢管混凝土压弯承载力的计算,所提出圆形不锈钢管混凝土压弯承载力简化计算式相比于现行规范或规程的计算式精度更高,得到的承载力计算值与试验实测值更为接近,可为不锈钢管混凝土的工程设计提供参考,也为相关规范或规程的编制提供依据。Pantha Subhash 张伟杰 廖飞宇 周健 任梦璐 2020钢结构(中英文)2020,35,5:1

15Living with Salt显示文摘INTRODUCTION To grow or not to grow is a simplified decision plants make following a complex assessment when challenged by salt stress.The need to understand how plants determine this under salt stress has pressing importance as we are left with less arable land and diminishing freshwater resources available for conventional agriculture compounded by climate change.Studies done over decadal scales converge on salt tolerance being a complex trait that involves a coordinated response of transcriptional to physiological responses.Primarily using Arabidopsis,we have deciphered some of the key aspects that govern salt-stress responses.Now,we are at new frontiers to expand our knowledge base using naturally stress-adapted plants as primary targets of study to understand salt-stress adaptation at unprecedented levels empowered by new molecular tools and resources.In this commentary,we highlight themajor mechanisms described by Zhao et al.1 in the first issue of The Innovation on plant salt-stress responses,in relation to new breakthrough research and emerging frontiers toward building salt-tolerant crops designed to fit the needs of a changing world.Pramod Pantha Maheshi Dassanayake 2020The Innovation2020,1,3:0
16Modeling transmission dynamics of rabies in Nepal显示文摘Even though vaccines against rabies are available,rabies still remains a burden killing a significant number of humans as well as domestic and wild animals in many parts of the world,including Nepal.In this study,we develop a mathematical model to describe transmission dynamics of rabies in Nepal.In particular,an indirect interspecies transmission from jackals to humans through dogs,which is relevant to the context of Nepal,is one of the novel features of our model.Our model utilizes annual dog-bite data collected from Nepal for a decade long period,allowing us to reasonably estimate parameters related to rabies transmission in Nepal.Using our model,we calculated the basic reproduction number(R_(0)=1:16)as well as intraspecies basic reproduction numbers of dogs(R_(0)^(D)=1:14)and jackals(R_(0)^(J)=0:07)for Nepal,and identified that the dog-related parameters are primary contributors to R0.Our results show that,along with dogs,jackals may also play an important role,albeit lesser extent,in the persistence of rabies in Nepal.Our model also suggests that control strategies may help reduce the prevalence significantly but the jackal vaccination may not be as effective as dog-related preventive strategies.To get deeper insight into the role of intraspecies and interspecies transmission between dog and jackal populations in the persistence of rabies,we also extended our model analysis into a wider parameter range.Interestingly,for some feasible parameters,even though rabies is theoretically controlled in each dog and jackal populations(R_(0)^(D)<1,R_(0)^(J)<1)if isolated,the rabies epidemic may still occur(R_(0)>1)due to interspecies transmission.These results may be useful to design effective prevention and control strategies for mitigating rabies burden in Nepal and other parts of the world.Buddhi Pantha Sunil Giri Hem Raj Joshi Naveen K.Vaidya 2021Infectious Disease Modelling2021,6,1:0
