| 1 | Spatial and temporal distributions of nitrogen,phosphorus and heavy metals in the intertidal sediment of the Chang jiang River Estuary in China显示文摘Spatial and temporal distributions of nutrients(N and P) and heavy metals(Cu,Zn,Pb and Cd) in the intertidal sediments at Dongtan wetland of the Changjiang River(Yangtze River) Estuary were examined by laying one transect running seaward to landward during January,April,June,August and October of 2005. Total nitrogen(TN) and heavy metal concentrations in the intertidal sediment showed an increasing trend from open bare flat to the high marsh,with the maximum concentrations in the high marsh and the minimum values in open bare flat. In contrast,sediment total phosphorus(TP) concentrations changed little among sampling sites. One-way ANOVA found that there were significantly temporal variations of nutrients and heavy metals concentrations in the intertidal sediment(P <0.05) . The concentrations of heavy metals generally showed an increasing trend from January to October. | 2 | Effects of Bacterial-Feeding Nematodes and Glucose on Phenanthrene Removal by Pseudomonas putida显示文摘Bacterial-feeding nematodes can promote the bacterial activity through feeding.Bacterial abundance and their activity affect the degradation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAH) such as phenanthrene.The effects of bacterial-feeding nematodes,bacteria,and their interactions on the degradation of phenanthrene with or without glucose were studied through a microcosm experiment.The results showed that up to 57.0%of phenanthrene in mineral medium contaminated with phenanthrene was degraded in the control with bacteria alone and bacteria with the presence of nematodes and/or glucose increased the degradation of phenanthrene by 25.6%to 36.6%.Although both nematode and bacteria abundance decreased gradually,catechol 2,3-dioxygenase(C230) activity increased during the incubation period.Compared with bacteria alone,the presence of nematodes significantly increased C230 activity as well as the abundance of bacteria;this effect was more pronounced when glucose was present.The results imply that nematodes might promote the removal of phenanthrene from medium by stimulating bacteria and C230 activities. | JING Yongping LIYan LIU Zhaohui ZHANG Yingpeng LIU Ping SUN Ming Jiafa LUO | 2017 | Pedosphere2017,27,1: | 2 |
| 3 | Cell orientation of swimming bacteria:From theoretical simulation to experimental evaluation显示文摘The motion of small bacteria consists of two phases:relatively long runs alternate with intermittent stops,back-ups,or tumbles,depending on the species.In polar monotrichous bacteria,the flagellum is anchored at the cell pole inherited from the parent generation(old pole) and is surrounded by a chemoreceptor cluster.During forward swimming,the leading pole is always the pole recently formed in cell division(new pole).The flagella of the peritrichous bacterium Escherichia coli often form a bundle behind the old pole.Its cell orientation and receptor positioning during runs generally mimic that of monotrichous bacteria.When encountering a solid surface,peritrichous bacteria exhibit a circular motion with the leading pole dipping downward.Some polar monotrichous bacteria also perform circular motion near solid boundaries,but during back-ups.In this case,the leading pole points upward.Very little is known about behavior near milieu-air interfaces.Biophysical simulations have revealed some of the mechanisms underlying these phenomena,but leave many questions unanswered.Combining biophysics with molecular techniques will certainly advance our understanding of bacterial locomotion. | PING LiYan | 2012 | Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,3: | 2 |

| 6 | Separation of Water from Extra-viscous Oil under Microwave Radiation in the Presence of Inorganic Salts显示文摘Removal of water contained in extra-viscous crude oil is quite difficult because of the high viscosity and high resins content of heavy oil.The microwave technology was introduced for the separation of water from high-viscosity crude oil in the presence of sodium acetate.The decrease in zeta-potential of interface and the viscosity of crude oil are responsible for the accelerated separation of water under microwave irradiation.The influences of the concentration of sodium acetate in sample,irradiation pressure,irradiation time and irradiation power on the separation efficiency were investigated.The optimum technological condition for the refining process was determined.Upon treating the sample 1 (with a water concentration of 50%),the water removal rate was 98.44%,when the optimum conditions were identified to be a sodium acetate concentration of 2%,an irradiation pressure of 0.1 MPa,an irradiation time of 2 min,and an irradiation power of 225 W,with the recovery of sodium acetate reaching 97.88%.Upon treating the sample 2 (the concentration of water was 20%),the water removal rate was 93.85%,when the optimum conditions were determined to be a sodium acetate concentration of 3%,an irradiation pressure of 0.1 MPa,an irradiation time of 4 min,and an irradiation power of 375 W,with the recovery of sodium acetate reaching 93.54%.By using this method,the dehydration efficiency was increased rapidly. | Zhao Shanlin Li Ping Shang Liyan Ma Li | 2011 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2011,13,3: | 1 |

| 10 | An Investigation Into the Needs and Challenges of County-Level Family Education Guidance Services and Corresponding Improvement Measures显示文摘The delivery of targeted family education guidance services is essential for establishing a three-in-one education model that encompasses families,schools,and communities.It is also the key to creating a favorable educational environment that promotes the comprehensive and healthy development of individual students.To gain a comprehensive understanding of family education characteristics and trends in Chinese counties,accurately tap into the educational needs of parents,and effectively identify strengths and weaknesses in family education guidance services,this paper employed a quantitative research method based on a questionnaire survey and interview data from J district of C city after years of continuous monitoring of the quality of family education in the area,aiming to explore these issues and put forward several suggestions for improvement.The results indicate that the family learning environment and atmosphere in the district are generally favorable,while parental educational competence requires further improvement.Parents express a strong desire for interactive,systematic,and fragmented family education guidance from schools.Most parents acknowledge the significance of receiving guidance on family education,yet they are disinclined to actively engage in learning-related activities.While the operational mechanisms of county-level family education guidance services have been continuously improved,there is a need for greater overall coordination.Furthermore,the potential of school-led family education guidance services has yet to be fully tapped,and the scientific and professional standards of such guidance need to be further enhanced.Based on the aforementioned findings,we propose recommendations for improvement.Using J district’s effective improvement practices in management,curriculum,and teams as an example,we intend to explore practical ways to promote county-level family education guidance services and provide a valuable reference for the establishment of a comprehensive and effective system to improve such services. | Deng Xiaobing Tian Liyan Ji Ping Yang Wei | 2023 | Contemporary Social Sciences2023,8,3: | 0 |
| 11 | Determining the effects of LFHV-PEF treatment on the water distribution and vigor of aged rice seeds using LF-NMR显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the effect of low-frequency high-voltage pulsed electric field (LFHV-PEF) treatment on the germination of aged rice seeds. Aged rice seeds were subjected to LFHV-PEF treatment with different electric field strengths, and low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (LF-NMR) was performed to acquire the LF-NMR data of rice seeds at different germination periods during a standard seed germination test to analyze their internal patterns of water state and distribution. Optimal treatment conditions were determined based on the physicochemical data collected during germination, and the improvements in seed vigor were verified. The findings indicated that during germination, the contents of bound and semi-bound water within the aged rice seeds initially increased and then decreased, whereas free water and total water contents increased continuously and rapidly. Side peaks were also observed within the seeds. Under the LFHV-PEF treatment, the semi-bound water within the seeds was more easily converted to free water, and the water absorption rate, germination potential, germination rate, germination index, and vigor index of these seeds improved. Further, the optimal electrical field strength was 12 kV.
