| 2 | Graft-accelerated virus-induced gene silencing facilitates functional genomics in rose flowers显示文摘Rose has emerged as a model ornamental plant for studies of flower development, senescence, and morphology, as well as the metabolism of floral fragrances and colors.Virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS) has long been used in functional genomics studies of rose by vacuum infiltration of cuttings or seedlings with an Agrobacterium suspension carrying TRV-derived vectors. However, VIGS in rose flowers remains a challenge because of its low efficiency and long time to establish silencing. Here we present a novel and rapid VIGS method that can be used to analyze gene function in rose,called ‘graft-accelerated VIGS', where axil ary sprouts are cut from the rose plant and vacuum infiltrated with Agrobacterium. The inoculated scions are then grafted back onto the plants to flower and silencing phenotypes can be observed within 5 weeks, post-infiltration. Using this new method, we successfully silenced expression of the RhDFR_1, RhA G, and RhNUDX_1 in rose flowers, and affected their color, petal number, as well as fragrance, respectively. This grafting method will facilitate high-throughput functional analysis of genes in rose flowers. | 3 | Inheritance of Perpetual Blooming in Rosa chinensis ‘Old Blush'显示文摘Perpetual blooming is one of the most important biological and economical traits in modern rose, while the genetic basis underlining the control of this trait is poorly investigated. With an aim in dissecting the genetic determinism of perpetual blooming, we developed six rose populations(OB, W, F1, F2, BC1 OB and BC1W) derived from a WOB population [interspecific diploid hybridization between Rosa chinensis ‘Old Blush'(OB) and R. wichuriana ‘Basye's Thornless'(W)]. Perpetual blooming is absent both in a F1 population with 296 individuals and a BC1 W population(W as the backcross parent) with 150 individuals. However, the perpetual blooming trait showed a typical 3︰1 segregation in a backcross population BC1 OB with OB as the backcross parent. In this population with 300 individuals, 83 plants had the perpetual blooming phenotype while the other 217 featured non-perpetual blooming, indicating that the perpetual blooming trait is very likely controlled by two recessive genes in R. chinensis(rpb1 and rpb2). | 4 | Evolution Characteristics of Government-Industry-University Cooperative Innovation Network of Electronic Information Industry in Liaoning Province, China显示文摘It is important to optimize the cooperative innovation network for the improvement of economic competence and innovative power. Based on the patent information services platform, we obtain invention patent data for the electronic information industry in Liaoning from 1985 to 2015. This paper analyzes the cooperative innovation network structure, its spatiotemporal evolution and the triple helix relationship of government-industry-university(GIU) by using the social network analysis method and the triple helix theory as well as UCINet, ArcGIS and NetDraw. The empirical results show that: 1) the number of the subjects of the electronic information industry GIU cooperative innovation network in Liaoning demonstrates a gradual increase from 1985 to 2015, with the same trend in concentration. In terms of its subject and its centrality, the universities have a higher position, and the industries have a lower position,while the status of the government is still unclear. 2) The cooperative innovation network presents a core-periphery structure, and the polarization effect of innovation subjects tends to be obvious. There is certain distance-decay regularity in the cooperative innovation network, and a strong geographical proximity to cooperative innovation. 3) The compactness shows a downward trend as a whole. In terms of the extent of participation, the industries are better than the government but worse than the universities. | 6 | Histone demethylase LSD1 regulates bone mass by controlling WNT7B and BMP2 signaling in osteoblasts显示文摘Multiple regulatory mechanisms control osteoblast differentiation and function to ensure unperturbed skeletal formation and remodeling. In this study we identify histone lysine-specific demethylase 1(LSD1/KDM1 A) as a key epigenetic regulator of osteoblast differentiation. Knockdown of LSD1 promoted osteoblast differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells(hMSCs)in vitro and mice lacking LSD1 in mesenchymal cells displayed increased bone mass secondary to accelerated osteoblast differentiation. Mechanistic in vitro studies revealed that LSD1 epigenetically regulates the expression of WNT7 B and BMP2. LSD1 deficiency resulted in increased BMP2 and WNT7 B expression in osteoblasts and enhanced bone formation, while downregulation of WNT7 B-and BMP2-related signaling using genetic mouse model or small-molecule inhibitors attenuated bone phenotype in vivo. Furthermore, the LSD1 inhibitor tranylcypromine(TCP) could increase bone mass in mice. | 12 | PK-tailored tertiary prophylaxis in patients with severe hemophilia A at beijing Children’s Hospital显示文摘Importance:Tertiary prophylaxis using a low-dose regimen is usually insufficient to prevent recurrent joint bleeding and deterioration in joint diseases in children with severe hemophilia A.Pharmacokinetic(PK)dosing is a useful approach to increase the precision and efficiency of prophylaxis.Objective:To explore the efficacy of PK-tailored tertiary prophylaxis in children with severe hemophilia A.Methods:We implemented a PK-tailored tertiary prophylaxis program for 15 boys with severe hemophilia A aged 5-16 years at Beijing Children’s Hospital.Following PK testing and a 6-month evaluation period(phase I),15 patients were divided in two groups according to individual PK data and actual bleeding:(1)a PK-tailored group[modified prophylaxis regimen according to PK data for the next 6 months(phase II);n=8]and(2)a maintenance group(continued the original regimen for the next 6 months;n=7).We compared the bleeding rate,infusion frequency,and factor VIII(FVIII)consumption between the two groups.results:In the PK-tailored group,the median annual joint bleeding rate was reduced from 7.8 in phase I to 1.4 in phase II,mean annual total factor consumption increased from 1619.0 IU/kg in phase I to 2401.9 IU/kg in phase II,and median infusion frequency for prophylaxis increased from 104 times/year in phase I to 156 times/year in phase II(P<0.05).Although the FVIII consumption increased,it remained at approximately half of the standard method.Interpretation:PK-tailored prophylaxis may represent a more efficient approach to individual prophylaxis in China,but further studies are required to verify this. | Peijing Li Zhenping Chen Xiaoling Cheng Yan Wang Ningning Zhang Yingzi Zhen Xinyi Wu Runhui Wu | 2019 | Pediatric Investigation2019,3,1: | 3 |

| 14 | Morphological Development of Fuel Droplets after Impacting Biomimetic Structured Surfaces with Different Temperatures显示文摘To improve the controllability for the evaporation process of fuel spray impinging on the cylinder wall,an experimental study on the development of morphological process of different fuel droplets on aluminium alloy surfaces is carried out.The metal surfaces with different wettability are prepared by laser etching and chemical etching for the experiments.In total,three different fuels are tested and compared under different surface temperatures,including diesel,n-butanol and dimethyl carbonate(DMC).The results show that under a lower wall temperature,the surface wettability,viscosity and surface tension of the fuels have significant effects on spreading and rebounding behaviour of the droplets.As the wall temperature rises over the boiling points of the fuel but below its Leidenfrost temperature,the contact angles between the fuels and surfaces are varying according to the surface wettability,boiling point and Leidenfrost temperature of the fuels.When the temperature of the surface exceeds the Leidenfrost temperature of all the fuels,after impacting the surfaces,different fuel droplets tend to have the same development pattern,regardless of the surface wettability.The rebound level is mainly affected by the amount of fuel vapour generated during the wall-hitting process.Viscosity,surface tension and other properties of the fuel have little effect on post-impacting behaviour of the droplet when the wall temperature is higher than the Leidenfrost temperature of the fuel. | Liang Guo Yuheng Gao Ningning Cai Degang Li Yuying Yan Wanchen Sun | 2020 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,4: | 2 |

| 17 | Influence of Deposition Pressure on Properties of ZnO:Al Films Fabricated by RF Magnetron Sputtering显示文摘Transparent conductive aluminum doped zinc oxide(ZnO:Al,AZO) films were prepared on glass substrates by rf(radio frequency) magnetron sputtering from ZnO: 3wt% Al_2O_3 ceramic target. The effect of argon gas pressure(PAr) was investigated with small variations to understand the influence on the electrical, optical and structural properties of the films. Structural examinations using X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) showed that the ZnO:Al thin films were(002) oriented. The resistivity values were measured by four-point probe with the lowest resistivity of 5.76×10^(-4) Ω?cm(sheet resistance=9.6 Ω/sq. for a thickness=600 nm) obtained at the PAr of 0.3 Pa. The transmittance was achieved from ultravioletvisible(UV-VIS) spectrophotometer, 84% higher than that in the visible region for all AZO thin films. | 18 | Relaxor behavior of (1-x)Pb(Mg_(1/3)Nb_(2/3))O_3-xPbTiO_3 ceramics显示文摘In the present work, the phase transitions and relaxor behavior of (1-x)Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-xPbTiO3 (PMN-PT, x = 0.2―0.4) ferroelectric ceramics have been investigated by means of X-ray diffraction, di-electric spectroscopy, the P-E hysteresis loop measurements and Raman scattering techniques. Structural analysis revealed that with the increase of PbTiO3 content, PMN-PT ceramics experienced a gradual phase transition process from rhombohedral to tetragonal. It is usually believed that such kinds of phase transitions resulted in the linear decrease of relaxation degree. Surprisingly, our analysis of the dielectric spectra revealed that the indicator of the degree of diffuseness γ reached the maximum value near morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) (x = 0.32), then decreased with the further increase of PbTiO3 content. The large dielectric relaxor feature near MPB may be attributed to the for-mation of ordered nanodomains, resulting from complex coexisting nanostructures. Further, the P-E hysteresis loop measurements and Raman analysis of the B-site cation order correlated well with the dielectric measurement results. | 20 | Effect of Different Ionic Liquids on 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural Preparation from Glucose in DMA over AlCl_(3):Experimental and Theoretical Study显示文摘In this work,effect of different ionic liquids(ILs)on 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF)preparation from glucose in N,N-dimethylacetamide(DMA)over AlCl3 was revealed by a combined experimental and computational study.ILs used as cocatalysts in this work included N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone hydrogen sulfate([NMP]HSO_(4)),N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone methyl sulfate([NMP]CH_(3)SO_(3)),N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone chlorine([NMP]Cl)and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone bromide([NMP]Br)which were endowed with the same cation but different anions.According to the conclusion that fructose was intermediate product from glucose to HMF,we found fructose was transformed to more by-products by[NMP]H_(S)O_(4),making HMF yield decline significantly when glucose was treated as substrate.Neither glucose nor fructose could be converted by[NMP]CH_(3)SO_(3)efficiently,leading to its no influence on glucose conversion to HMF.[NMP]Br had a higher selectivity for HMF from fructose than[NMP]Cl and AlCl3.Besides,Al^(3+)preferred to combine with Br−,slightly decreasing both the overall free energy barrier for glucose isomerization and activation barrier for H-shift at 393.15 K.So a high HMF yield of 57%was obtained from glucose catalyzed by AlCl3 together with[NMP]Br under mild conditions. | Yan Yang Wentao Liu Ningning Wang Haijun Wang Wei Li Zhanxin Song | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2015,33,5: | 1 |
