| 1 | Evaluation of Inherited Resistance Genes of Bacterial Leaf Blight, Blast and Drought Tolerance in Improved Rice Lines显示文摘Improved rice lines were developed frome three parents with the resistance or tolerance to bacterial leaf blight,blast and drought stress,respectively,using single-,double-and three-way crosses.The improved lines were assessed for agro-morphological and yield traits under non-drought stress(NS)and reproductive-stage drought stress(RS)treatments.The mean comparison of traits measured between parent plants and progenies(improved lines)were similar,and there were significant and non-significant differences among the parents and improved lines(genotypes)under NS and RS.Smilarly,there was significant and non-significant differences in the interaction among both parent varieties and improved lines for NS and RS.Cluster and 3D-model of principal component analysis did not generate categorical clusters according to crossing methods,and there were no exclusive crossing method inclined variations under the treatments.The improved lines were high-yielding,disease resistant,and drought-tolerant compared with their parents.All the crossing methods were good for this crop improvement program without preference to any,despite the number of genes introgressed. | Ibrahim Silas AKOS Mohd Y.RAFII Mohd Razi ISMAIL Shairul Izan RAMLEE Noraziyah Abd Aziz SHAMSUDIN Asfaliza RAMLI Samuel Chibuike CHUKWU Senesie SWARAY Momodu JALLOH | 2021 | Rice science2021,28,3: | 1 |

| 4 | Modification of colorimetric method based digital soil test kit for determination of macronutrients in oil palm plantation显示文摘It is the need of time that oil palm farmers must perform the spatially planned soil analysis to know about the fertilizer sufficient and deficient zones of land.Colorimetric method is a suitable and fast solution of soil analysis for NPK determination using the digital soil test kit.NPK determination procedure with a digital soil test kit was undefined for oil palm.Furthermore,the digital soil test kit determines the passage of light through an opaque medium of soil solution with a specified reagent.Therefore,environmental light may interfere leading to wrong results of NPK measurement.Likewise,this equipment was non-incorporable with the controller of any VRT fertilizer applicator.In this research,these issues were addressed and the NPK measurement procedure was defined for oil palm plantation by modifying the‘soil to water’ratio in sample soil solution with an optimum environmental light range of 18-23 W/m^(2).‘Soil to water’ratios were found for nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium as 0.31 to 5.00,1.00 to 5.00 and 4.50 to 5.00,respectively to fit the requirement of NPK for oil palm in the prescribed range of the equipment.Validation study of modified digital soil test kit showed that 91.7%N,89.6%P and 93.8%K results of modified digital soil test kit were matched with analytical laboratory method.Thus,the reliability of NPK results using digital soil test kit was enhanced,making the kit incorporable with the controller of variable rate fertilizer applicator through remote monitoring based data acquisition system.The outcome of this research can be used in the development of an IoT network data fusion for dynamic assessment of the NPK variation in the soil and nutrient management in oil palm plantations. | Muhammad Yamin Wan Ishak bin Wan Ismail Muhamad Saufi bin Mohd Kassim Samsuzana Binti Abd Aziz Farah Naz Akbar Redmond R.Shamshiri Muhammad Ibrahim Benjamin Mahns | 2020 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,4: | 0 |
| 5 | A study on the effectiveness of intravenous tramadol in the management of severe traumatic pain in emergency department显示文摘Introduction:Patients with pain contribute to 60%-70% of emergency department(ED)attendance and the tramadol is among analgesic of choice in ED.However,the use of intravenous tramadol is limited to moderate pain intensity because of its weak opiod agonist properties.We conducted a study to examine the effectiveness of intravenous tramadol among patients who suffer from severe traumatic pain.Methodology:In this prospective study,eligible patients received a loading dose of intravenous tramadol(2mg/kg).If visual analogue score(VAS)more than 30 mm after the loading dose,intermittent bolus intravenous tramadol 20mg will be administered every 10 minutes.At 30 minutes of study,rescue medication(i.e.morphine or pethidine)will be provided to those patients with VAS more than 30 mm.VAS score,vital signs and side effects were recorded for every 10 minutesResults:Forty-seven patients who suffered from fracture and soft tissue injury were analysed.The median VAS score on presentation and at 30 minutes was 90 mm 20 mm respectively.The median total dose of IV tramadol received by the patients at 30 minutes was 150 mg(IQR=34.0).There was a significant change in medium pain score at 10,20 and 30 minutes treatment(P<0.001).Vital signs were within normal range throughout the study period.About 66.1% of them had side effects of tramadol.The common side effects were sleepiness(75.0%)and dizziness(56.3%).Conclusion:The intravenous tramadol is a safe and effective analgesia in severe traumatic patients if an initial and intermittent dose is given adequately. | Rashidi Ahmad Mohd Ghazali Abd Rashid Nasir Mohamad Kamarul Aryffin Baharuddin Mohd Ismail Ibrahim | 2010 | 海南医学院学报2010,16,7: | 0 |
