| 1 | Prevalence of plasmid mediated bla_(TEM-1) and bla_(CTX-M-15) type extended spectrum beta-lactamases in patients with sepsis显示文摘Objective:To characterize the bacterial pathogens in patients having gram negative septicaemia. Further,to evaluate the antimicrobial resistance and underlying molecular mechanisms in these strains.Methods:A total number of 70 cases of gram negative sepsis were included in this prospective,open labeled,observational study.Standard methods for isolation and identification of bacteria were used.Antimicrobial susceptibility and ESBL testing was performed by the standard disc diffusion method.PCR amplification was performed to identify blaCTX-M,blaSHVand blaTEM type ESBLs.Conjugation experiments were performed to show resistant marker transfer. Results:The most prevalent isolates Escherichia coli(E.coli) 58.6%,Klebsiella Spp.32.9%and Pseudomonas 8.6%,were resistant to most of the antimicrobials including cefazolin,ceftriaxone, cefuroxime,ampicillin and co-trimoxazole but sensitive to imipenem and meropenem.ESBL and MBL production was seen 7.3%and 12.2%of E.coli isolates respectively.Three isoaltes were found to have blaCTX-M-15 and two of them also showed blaTEM-1 type enxyme.Whereas, none of them showed blaSHV.Conjugation experiments using J-53 cells confirmed these resistant markers as plasmid mediated.Conclusions:This work highlights the molecular epidemiology of escalating antimicrobial resistance and likely switch over of blaCTX-M-15 type extended spectrum beta-lactamases by blaTEM type ESBLs in India.Further,the antimicrobial resistance by horizontal gene transfer was predominant among Enterobacteraceae in the community setting. | Shahzad F Haque Saeedut-Z Ali Mohammed TP Asad U Khan | 2012 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2012,5,2: | 2 |

| 5 | CYP2D6在印度卡纳塔克邦和安得拉邦人群中的遗传多态性(英文)显示文摘AIM: To study the prevalence of cytochrome P-450 2D6 (CYP2D6) polymorphism in Kamataka ( KA) and Andhra Pradesh (AP) population. METHODS: Two hundred and eleven healthy human volunteers participated in the study (100 from KA and 111 from AP). At bed time, after voiding their bladder, the volunteers ingested 30 mg of dextromethorphan hydrobromide (DM). Urine samples were collected for 8 h. DM and its metabolite dextrorphan ( DT) were estimated in the urine using HPLC. The metabolic ratio (DM/DT) was used for phenotyping. RESULTS: The prevalence of poor metabolisers (PM) in KA is 4 % and AP is 1.8 %. | 7 | Application of the Deep Convolutional Neural Network for the Classification of Auto Immune Diseases显示文摘IIF(Indirect Immune Florescence)has gained much attention recently due to its importance in medical sciences.The primary purpose of this work is to highlight a step-by-step methodology for detecting autoimmune diseases.The use of IIF for detecting autoimmune diseases is widespread in different medical areas.Nearly 80 different types of autoimmune diseases have existed in various body parts.The IIF has been used for image classification in both ways,manually and by using the Computer-Aided Detection(CAD)system.The data scientists conducted various research works using an automatic CAD system with low accuracy.The diseases in the human body can be detected with the help of Transfer Learning(TL),an advanced Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)approach.The baseline paper applied the manual classification to the MIVIA dataset of Human Epithelial cells(HEP)type II cells and the Sub Class Discriminant(SDA)analysis technique used to detect autoimmune diseases.The technique yielded an accuracy of up to 90.03%,which was not reliable for detecting autoimmune disease in the mitotic cells of the body.In the current research,the work has been performed on the MIVIA data set of HEP type II cells by using four well-known models of TL.Data augmentation and normalization have been applied to the dataset to overcome the problem of overfitting and are also used to improve the performance of TL models.These models are named Inception V3,Dens Net 121,VGG-16,and Mobile Net,and their performance can be calculated through parameters of the confusion matrix(accuracy,precision,recall,and F1 measures).The results show that the accuracy value of VGG-16 is 78.00%,Inception V3 is 92.00%,Dense Net 121 is 95.00%,and Mobile Net shows 88.00%accuracy,respectively.Therefore,DenseNet-121 shows the highest performance with suitable analysis of autoimmune diseases.The overall performance highlighted that TL is a suitable and enhanced technique compared to its counterparts.Also,the proposed technique is used to detect autoimmune diseases with a minimal margin of errors and flaws. | Fayaz Muhammad Jahangir Khan Asad Ullah Fasee Ullah Razaullah Khan Inayat Khan Mohammed ElAffendi Gauhar Ali | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,77,10: | 0 |
