1Microscopic enteritis:Bucharest consensus显示文摘Microscopic enteritis(ME) is an inflammatory condition of the small bowel that leads to gastrointestinal symptoms,nutrient and micronutrient deficiency.It is characterised by microscopic or sub-microscopic abnormalities such as microvillus changes and enterocytic alterations in the absence of definite macroscopic changes using standard modern endoscopy.This work recognises a need to characterize disorders with microscopic and submicroscopic features,currently regarded as functional or non-specific entities,to obtain further understanding of their clinical relevance.The consensus working party reviewed statements about the aetiology,diagnosis and symptoms associated with ME and proposes an algorithm for its investigation and treatment.Following the 5th International Course in Digestive Pathology in Bucharest in November 2012,an international group of 21 interested pathologists and gastroenterologists formed a working party with a view to formulating a consensus statement on ME.A five-step agreement scale(from strong agreement to strong disagreement) was used to score 21 statements,independently.There was strong agreement on all statements about ME histology(95%-100%).Statements concerning diagnosis achieved 85% to 100% agreement.A statement on the management of ME elicited agreement from the lowest rate(60%) up to 100%.The remaining two categories showed general agreement between experts on clinical presentation(75%-95%) and pathogenesis(80%-90%) of ME.There was strong agreement on the histological definition of ME.Weaker agreement on management indicates a need for further investigations,better definitions and clinical trials to produce quality guidelines for management.This ME consensus is a step toward greater recognition of a significant entity affecting symptomatic patients previously labelled as non-specific or functional enteropathy.Kamran Rostami David Aldulaimi Geoffrey Holmes Matt W Johnson Marie Robert Amitabh Srivastava Jean-Francois Fléjou David S Sanders Umberto Volta Mohammad H Derakhshan James J Going Gabriel Becheanu Carlo Catassi Mihai Danciu Luke Materacki Kamran Ghafarzadegan Sauid Ishaq Mohammad Rostami-Nejad A Salvador Pe?a Gabrio Bassotti Michael N Marsh Vincenzo Villanacci 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,9:1
2Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System Assessment of the Nutrients Limiting and Nutritional Status of Tomato显示文摘Tomato is an important field crop,and nutritional imbalances frequently reduce its yield.Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System(DRIS),uses ratios for nutrient deficiency diagnosis instead of absolute concentration in plant tests.In this study,local DRIS norms for the field tomatoes were established and the nutrient(s)limiting tomatoes yield were determined.Tomato leaves were analyzed for nutrients,to identify nutritional status using the DRIS approach.One hundred tomatoes fields were selected from Chatter Plain Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Sheikupura Punjab Pakistan.The first fully matured leaf was sampled,rinsed,dried and ground for analyzing P,K,Ca,Mg,Cu,Fe,Mn and Zn using an Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrophotometer(ICP AES).Plant tissue N and S were measured by the combustion method.The tomatoes yields were recorded at each location.The data were divided into high-yielding(≥3.79 kg/10 plant)and low-yielding(<3.79 kg/10 plant)populations and norms were computed using standard DRIS procedures.High-yielding plant population had a statistically greater mean S and Fe than the low-yielding population.The average balance index,the sum of functions,for S and Fe were−11.04 and−5.17 which reflected deficiency of S and Fe.Plant nutrients norms established may optimize plant nutrition in field tomatoes for high yield.Rabia Manzoor Mohammad Saleem Akhtar Khalid Saifullah Khan Taqi Raza Muhammad Ishaq Asif Rehmani Carl Rosen Muhammad Khalil ur Rehman Nahla Zidan Fahad MAlzuaibr Nisreen MAbdulsalam Najla AKhateeb Majid Alhomrani Abdulhakeem SAlamri Javeed Ahmad Lone Muhammad Ammar Raza Ayman El Sabagh 2022Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2022,91,12:0
3Petrogenesis of the Late Cretaceous Tholeiitic Volcanism and Oceanic Island Arc Affinity of the Chagai Arc, Western Pakistan显示文摘The Late Cretaceous Chagai arc outcrops in western Pakistan,southern Afghanistan and eastern Iran.It is in the Tethyan convergence zone,formed by northward subduction of the Arabian oceanic plate beneath the Afghan block.The oldest unit of the Chagai arc is the Late Cretaceous Sinjrani Volcanic Group.This is composed of porphyritic lava flows and volcaniclastic rocks,and subordinate shale,sandstone,limestone and chert.The flows are fractionated low-K tholeiitic basalts,basalticandesites,and andesites.Relative enrichment in their LILE and depletion in HFSE,and negative Nb and Ta and positive K,Ba and Sr anomalies point to a subduction-related origin.Compared to MORB,the least fractionated Chagai basalts have low Na_2O,Fe_2O_3~T,CaO,Ti,Zr,Y and ^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr.Rather than an Andean setting,these results suggest derivation from a highly depleted mantle in an intraoceanic arc formed by Late Cretaceous convergence in the Ceno-Tethys.The segmented subduction zone formed between Gondwana and a collage of small continental blocks(Iran,Afghan,Karakoram,Lhasa and Burma) was accompanied by a chain of oceanic island arcs and suprasubduction ophiolites including Semail,Zagros,Chagai-Raskoh,Kandahar,Muslim Bagh,Waziristan and Kohistan-Ladakh,Nidar,Nagaland and Manipur.These complexes accreted to the southern margin of Eurasia in the Late Cretaceous.Rehanul Haq SIDDIQUI M.
