| 3 | GAJA:3D CAD methodology for developing a parametric system for the automatic(re)modeling of the cutting components of compound washer dies显示文摘For the designing of cutting-dies is a complex and experience-based process,it is poorly supported by conventional 3D CAD software.Thus,the majority of design activities,including the(re)modeling of those cutting die-components that are directly responsible for performing shaping operations on a sheet-metal stamping part,traditionally still need to be carried-out repetitively,separately,and manually by the designer.To eliminate some of these drawbacks and upgrade the capabilities of conventional 3D CAD software,this paper proposes a new methodology for the development of a parametric system capable of automatically performing a(re)modeling process of compound washer dies' cutting-components.The presented methodology integrates CATIA V5 built-in modules,including Part Design,Assembly Design and Knowledge Advisor,publication mechanism,and compound cutting die-design knowledge.The system developed by this methodology represents an 'intelligent' assembly template composed of two modules GAJA1 and GAJA2,respectively.GAJA1 is responsible for the direct input of the die-design problem regarding the shape,dimensions and material of the stamping part,its extraction in the form of geometric features,and the transferring of relevant design parameters and features to the module GAJA2.GAJA2 interprets the current values for the input parameters and automatically performs the modeling process of cutting die-components,using die-design knowledge and the company's internal design and manufacturing standards.Experimental results show that this system significantly shortens the modeling-time for cutting the die-components,improves the modeling-quality,and enables the training of inexperienced designers. | David POTONIK Bojan DOLAK Miran ULBIN | 2013 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A(Applied Physics & Engineering)2013,14,5: | 2 |
| 4 | Investigation of wax precipitation in crude oil:Experimental and modeling显示文摘In this work,a series of experiments were carried to investigation of rheological behavior of crude oil using waxy crude oil sample in the absence/presence of flow improver such as ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.The rheological data covered the temperature range of 5e30C.The results indicated that the performance of flow improver was dependent on its molecular weight.Addition of small quantities of flow improver,can improve viscosity and pour point of crude oil.Also,an Artificial Neural Network(ANN)model using Multi-Layer Perceptron(MLP)topology has been developed to account wax appearance temperature and the amount of precipitated wax and the model was verified using experimental data given in this work and reported in the literature.In order to compare the performance of the proposed model based on Artificial Neural Network,the wax precipitation experimental data at different temperatures were predicted using solid solution model and multi-solid phase model.The results showed that the developed model based on Artificial Neural Network can predict more accurately the wax precipitation experimental data in comparison to the previous models such as solid solution and multi-solid phase model with AADs less than 0.5%.Furthermore,the number of parameters required for the Artificial Neural Network(ANN)model is less than the studied thermodynamic models. | Taraneh Jafari Behbahani Ali Akbar Miran Beigi Zahra Taheri Bahram Ghanbari | 2015 | Petroleum2015,1,3: | 2 |
| 5 | Sensor fusion-based approach for the field robot localization on Rovitis 4.0 vineyard robot显示文摘This study proposed an approach for robot localization using data from multiple low-cost sensors with two goals in mind,to produce accurate localization data and to keep the computation as simple as possible.The approach used data from wheel odometry,inertial-motion data from the Inertial Motion Unit(IMU),and a location fix from a Real-Time Kinematics Global Positioning System(RTK GPS).Each of the sensors is prone to errors in some situations,resulting in inaccurate localization.The odometry is affected by errors caused by slipping when turning the robot or putting it on slippery ground.The IMU produces drifts due to vibrations,and RTK GPS does not return to an accurate fix in(semi-)occluded areas.None of these sensors is accurate enough to produce a precise reading for a sound localization of the robot in an outdoor environment.To solve this challenge,sensor fusion was implemented on the robot to prevent possible localization errors.It worked by selecting the most accurate readings in a given moment to produce a precise pose estimation.To evaluate the approach,two different tests were performed,one with robot localization from the robot operating system(ROS)repository and the other with the presented Field Robot Localization.The first did not perform well,while the second did and was evaluated by comparing the location and orientation estimate with ground truth,captured by a hovering drone above the testing ground,which revealed an average error of 0.005 m±0.220 m in estimating the position,and 0.6°±3.5°when estimating orientation.The tests proved that the developed field robot localization is accurate and robust enough to be used on a ROVITIS 4.0 vineyard robot. | Jurij Rakun Matteo Pantano Peter Lepej Miran Lakota | 2022 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,6: | 2 |
