Stability improvement of the Nieuwland catalyst in the dimerization of acetylene to monovinylacetylene显示文摘In the process of dimerization of acetylene to produce monovinylacetylene (MVA),the loss of active component CuCl in the Nieuwland catalyst due to the formation of a dark red precipitate was investigated. The formula of the precipitate was CuCl·2C2H2·1/5NH 3,and it was presumed to be formed by the combination of NH 3,C2H2 and [Cu]-acetylene π-complex,which was an intermediate in the dimerization reaction. The addition of hydrochloric acid into the catalyst can reduce the formation of precipitate, whereas excessive H+ is unfavorable to the dimerization reaction of acetylene. To balance between high acetylene conversion and low loss rate of CuCl,the optimum mass percentage of HCl in the added hydrochloric acid was determined. The result showed the optimum mass percentage of HCl decreased from 5.0% to 3.2% when the space velocity of acetylene was from 140 h-1 to 360 h-1.The result in this work also indicated the pH of the Nieuwland catalyst should be kept in the range of 5.80-5.97 during the reaction process, which was good for both catalyst life and acetylene conversion. | Jianguo Liu Yizan Zuo Minghan Han Zhanwen Wang Dezheng Wang | 2012 | Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,5: | 8
Recent advances in spinel-type electrocatalysts for bifunctional oxygen reduction and oxygen evolution reactions显示文摘The demand for efficient and environmentally-benign electrocatalysts that help availably harness the renewable energy resources is growing rapidly. In recent years, increasing insights into the design of water electrolysers, fuel cells, and metal–air batteries emerge in response to the need for developing sustainable energy carriers, in which the oxygen evolution reaction and the oxygen reduction reaction play key roles. However, both reactions suffer from sluggish kinetics that restricts the reactivity. Therefore, it is vital to probe into the structure of the catalysts to exploit high-performance bifunctional oxygen electrocatalysts. Spinel-type catalysts are a class of materials with advantages of versatility, low toxicity, low expense, high abundance, flexible ion arrangement, and multivalence structure. In this review, we afford a basic overview of spinel-type materials and then introduce the relevant theoretical principles for electrocatalytic activity, following that we shed light on the structure–property relationship strategies for spinel-type catalysts including electronic structure, microstructure, phase and composition regulation, and coupling with electrically conductive supports. We elaborate the relationship between structure and property, in order to provide some insights into the design of spinel-type bifunctional oxygen electrocatalysts. | Xiao-Meng Liu Xiaoyang Cui Kamran Dastafkan Hao-Fan Wang Cheng Tang Chuan Zhao Aibing Chen Chuanxin He Minghan Han Qiang Zhang | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,2: | 7
Effect of solvent on catalytic performance of anhydrous catalyst in acetylene dimerization to monovinylacetylene显示文摘The production of monovinylacetylene (MVA) through Cu(Ⅰ)-catalyzed acetylene dimerization reaction was performed in different reaction media. Based on the analyses of crystals precipitated from the catalyst solution and UV-Vis spectra of the catalysts, the reaction mechanism and solvent dependence were studied. The highest yield of MVA can be obtained when dimethylformamide is used as solvent because of its strong coordination ability to Cu(Ⅰ). The activation of C≡C bond is presumed to be improved when the catalytic metal ion is coordinated by a solvent with less steric hindrance and electron-rich coordination atom. The results of the present study provide a possible way to accelerate the metal-catalyzed homogeneous reaction of alkyne substrates through careful selection of a solvent. | Jianguo Liu Minghan Han Zhanwen Wang | 2013 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2013,22,4: | 6
Remediation performance and mechanisms of Cu and Cd contaminated water and soil using Mn/Al-layered double oxide-loaded biochar显示文摘The combined pollution of heavy metals is ubiquitous worldwide.Mn/Al-layered double oxide-loaded crab shells biochar (LDO/BC) was prepared,so as to remediate the combined pollution of Cd and Cu in soil and water. The pristine and used LDO/BC were characterized and the results revealed that the layered double oxide was successfully loaded on crab shells biochar (BC) and metal element Ca in crab shells was beneficial to the formation of more regular layered and flake structure. The maximal adsorption capacity (Qm) of LDO/BC for aqueous Cu^(2+)and Cd^(2+)was 66.23 and 73.47 mg/g,respectively.LDO/BC and BC were used to remediate e-waste-contaminated soil for the first time and exhibited highly efficient performance. The extraction amount of Cu and Cd in the contaminated soil by diethylene triamine penta-acetic acid (DTPA) after treating with 5% LDO/BC was significantly reduced from 819.84 to 205.95 mg/kg (with passivation rate 74.8%) and 8.46 to 4.16 mg/kg(with passivation rate 50.8%),respectively,inferring that the bioavailability of heavy metals declined remarkably. The experimental result also suggested that after remediation by LDO/BC the exchangeable and weak acid soluble Cu and Cd in soil translated to reducible, residual and oxidizable fraction which are more stable state.Precipitation, complexation and ion exchange were proposed as the possible mechanisms for Cd and Cu removal. In general, these experiment results indicate that LDO/BC can be a potentially effective reagent for remediation of heavy metal contaminated water and soil. | Pengcheng Lin Hang Liu Hua Yin Minghan Zhu Haoyu Luo Zhi Dang | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,3: | 2

Ca^(2+)-dependent TaCCD1 cooperates with TaSAUR215 to enhance plasma membrane H^(+)-ATPase activity and alkali stress tolerance by inhibiting PP2C-mediated dephosphorylation of TaHA2 in wheat显示文摘Alkali stress is a major constraint for crop production in many regions of saline-alkali land. However, little is known about the mechanisms through which wheat responds to alkali stress. In this study,we identified a calcium ion-binding protein from wheat,TaCCD1,which is critical for regulating the plasma membrane(PM)H^(+)-ATPase-mediated alkali stress response.PM H+-ATPase activity is closely related to alkali tolerance in the wheat variety Shanrong 4(SR4).We found that two D-clade type 2C protein phosphatases,TaPP2C.D1 and TaPP2C.D8(TaPP2C.D1/8),negatively modulate alkali stress tolerance by dephosphorylating the penultimate threonine residue(Thr926)of TaHA2 and thereby inhibiting PM H+-ATPase activity.Alkali stress induces the expression of TaCCD1 in SR4,and TaCCD1 interacts with TaSAUR215,an early auxin-responsive protein. These responses are both dependent on calcium signaling triggered by alkali stress.TaCCD1 enhances the inhibitory effect of TaSAUR215 on TaPP2C.D1/8 activity, thereby promoting the activity of the PM H^(+)-ATPase TaHA2 and alkali stress tolerance in wheat.Functional and genetic analyses verified the effects of these genes in response to alkali stress, indicating that TaPP2C.D1/8 function downstream of TaSAUR215 and TaCCD1.Collectively,this study uncovers a new signaling pathway that regulates wheat responses to alkali stress,in which Ca^(2+)-dependent TaCCD1 cooperates with TaSAUR215 to enhance PM H+-ATPase activity and alkali stress tolerance by inhibiting TaPP2C.D1/8-mediated dephosphorylation of PM H+-ATPase TaHA2 in wheat. | Minghan Cui Yanping Li Jianhang Li Fengxiang Yin Xiangyu Chen Lumin Qin Lin Wei Guangmin Xia Shuwei Liu | 2023 | Molecular Plant2023,16,3: | 1

Injectable cartilage matrix hydrogel loaded with cartilage endplate stem cells engineered to release exosomes for non-invasive treatment of intervertebral disc degeneration显示文摘Low back pain, mainly caused by intervertebral disc degeneration(IVDD),is a common health problem;however, current surgical treatments are less than satisfactory. Thus,it is essential to develop novel non-invasive surgical methods for IVDD treatment. Here,we describe a therapeutic strategy to inhibit IVDD by injecting hydrogels modified with the extracellular matrix of costal cartilage(ECM-Gels)that are loaded with cartilage endplate stem cells(CESCs).After loaded with CESCs overexpressing Sphk2(Lenti-Sphk2-CESCs)and injected near the cartilage endplate(CEP)of rats in vivo,ECM-Gels produced Sphk2-engineered exosomes(Lenti-Sphk2-Exos).These exosomes penetrated the annulus fibrosus(AF)and transported Sphk2 into the nucleus pulposus cells(NPCs).Sphk2 activated the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)/p-AKT pathway as well as the intracellular autophagy of NPCs,ultimately ameliorating IVDD.This study provides a novel and efficient non-invasive combinational strategy for IVDD treatment using injectable ECM-Gels loaded with CESCs that express Sphk2 with sustained release of functional exosomes. | Liwen Luo Junfeng Gong Zhouguang Wang Yao Liu Jiaming Cao Jinghao Qin Rui Zuo Hongyu Zhang Shuai Wang Ping Zhao Di Yang Mengjie Zhang Yanqiu Wang Junfeng Zhang Yue Zhou Changqing Li Bing Ni Zhiqiang Tian MingHan Liu | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,9: | 1
Evidence for coupled iron and nitrate reduction in the surface waters of Jiaozhou Bay显示文摘Iron and nitrate(NO_(3)^(-))are dominant physiologically required nutrients for phytoplankton growth, and iron may also play a key role in the marine nitrogen cycle. In this study,we investigated the temporal and spatial distributions of dissolved iron(DFe)and Fe(Ⅱ)in the surface waters of Jiaozhou Bay(JZB)from April 2 to July 26,2017.High concentrations of DFe and Fe(Ⅱ)predominantly occurred in nearshore and estuarine stations and concentrations were generally higher in April and May.The highest DFe concentration was observed along the coast of Hongdao(51.55 nmol/L)in May,while the lowest concentration was observed in the western coastal region(2.88 nmol/L)in April. The highest and lowest Fe(Ⅱ)concentrations were observed in the Licun estuary(22.42 nmol/L)and outer bay(0.50 nmol/L)in May,respectively. We calculated the proportions of nitrate, nitrite, and ammonium in dissolved inorganic nitrogen(DIN)as well as the ratio of Fe(Ⅱ)to DFe in all four months. The mean Fe(Ⅱ)/DFe ratio was 0.48 in April,0.43 in May,0.69 in June, and 0.32 in July. The mean ratio of NO_(3)^(-)to DIN was 0.78 in April,0.54 in May,0.20 in June, and 0.62 in July.NO_(3)^(-)/DIN continuously decreased in the first three months, while Fe(Ⅱ)/DFe remained high, which suggests that the reduction of iron and nitrate occurred simultaneously in the surface waters of JZB. | Kunyu Ma Rujun Yang Shenglu Qu Yingying Zhang Yuan Liu He Xie Minghan Zhu Mengqi Bi | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,10: | 0
Transplantation of neural stem progenitor cells from different sources for severe spinal cord injury repair in rat显示文摘Neural stem progenitor cell(NSPC)transplantation has been regarded as a promising therapeutic method for spinal cord injury(SCI)repair. However, different NSPCs may have different therapeutic effects, and it is therefore important to identify the optimal NSPC type.In our study,we compared the transcriptomes of human fetal brain-derived NSPCs(BNSPCs),spinal cord-derived NSPCs(SCNSPCs)and H9 embryonic stem-cell derived NSPCs(H9-NSPCs)in vitro and subsequently we transplanted each NSPC type on a collagen scaffold into a T8-9 complete SCI rat model in vivo.In vitro data showed that SCNSPCs had more highly expressed genes involved in nerve-related functions than the other two cell types. In vivo, compared with BNSPCs and H9-NSPCs,SCNSPCs exhibited the best therapeutic effects;in fact,SCNSPCs facilitated electrophysiological and hindlimb functional recovery. This study demonstrates that SCNSPCs may be an appropriate candidate cell type for SCI repair, which is of great clinical significance. | Bai Xu Man Yin Yaming Yang Yunlong Zou Wenbin Liu Lianyong Qiao Jixiang Zhang Zhan Wang Yayu Wu He Shen Minghan Sun Weiyuan Liu Weiwei Xue Yongheng Fan Qi Zhang Bing Chen Xianming Wu Ya Shi Falong Lu Yannan Zhao Zhifeng Xiao Jianwu Dai | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,5: | 0
Design of advanced porous silver powder with high-sintering activity to improve silicon solar cells显示文摘Silver(Ag)paste is widely used in semiconductor metallization, especially in silicon solar cells.Ag powder is the material with the highest proportion in Ag paste. The morphology and structure of Ag powder are crucial which determine its characteristics, especially for the sintering activity. In this work,a simple method was developed to synthesize a type of microcrystalline spherical Ag particles(SP-A)with internal pores and the structural changes and sintering behavior were thoroughly studied by combining ultra-small-angle X-ray scattering(USAXS),small-angle X-ray scattering(SAXS),in-situ heating X-ray diffraction(XRD),focused ion beam(FIB),and thermal analysis measurement.Due to the unique internal pores, the grain size of SP-A is smaller, and the coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE)is higher than that of traditional solid Ag particles. As a result, the sintering activity of SP-A is excellent, which can form a denser sintered body and form silver nanoparticles at the Ag–Si interface to improve silver silicon contact.Polycrystalline silicon solar cell built with SP-A obtained a low series resistance(Rs)and a high photoelectric conversion efficiency(PCE)of 19.26%.These fill a gap in Ag particle structure research, which is significant for the development of high-performance electronic Ag particles and efficient semiconductor devices. | Yongsheng Li Ziwei Chen Rui Zhou Wenguang Zhao Mu Li Jun Chen Zhongyuan Huang Jian Liu Yuhang Li Maolin Yang Minghan Yu Dong Zhou Yuan Lin Feng Pan | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,4: | 0
Size-and leaf age-dependent effects on the photosynthetic and physiological responses of Artemisia ordosica to drought stress显示文摘Drought is one of the most significant natural disasters in the arid and semi-arid areas of China.Populations or plant organs often differ in their responses to drought and other adversities at different growth stages. At present, little is known about the size-and leaf age-dependent differences in the mechanisms of shrub-related drought resistance in the deserts of China. Here,we evaluated the photosynthetic and physiological responses of Artemisia ordosica Krasch.to drought stress using a field experiment in Mu Us Sandy Land,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,China in 2018.Rainfall was manipulated by installing outdoor shelters, with four rainfall treatments applied to 12 plots(5 m×5 m).There were four rainfall levels, including a control and rainfall reductions of 30%,50%and 70%,each with three replications.Taking individual crown size as the dividing basis,we measured the responses of A.ordosica photosynthetic and physiological responses to drought at different growth stages,i.e.,large-sized(>0.5 m^(2))and small-sized(≤0.5 m^(2))plants.The leaves of A.ordosica were divided into old leaves and young leaves for separate measurement. Results showed that:(1)under drought stress, the transfer efficiency of light energy captured by antenna pigments to the photosystem II(PSII)reaction center decreased, and the heat dissipation capacity increased simultaneously. To resist the photosynthetic system damage caused by drought,A.ordosica enhanced its free radical scavenging capacity by activating its antioxidant enzyme system;and(2)growth stage and leaf age had effects on the reaction of the photosynthetic system to drought.Small A.ordosica plants could not withstand severe drought stress(70%rainfall reduction),whereas large A.ordosica individuals could absorb deep soil water to ensure their survival in severe drought stressed condition.Under 30%and 50%rainfall reduction conditions, young leaves had a greater ability to resist drought than old leaves, whereas the latter were more resistant to severe drought stress. The response of A.ordosica photosynthetic system reflected the trade-off at different growth stages and leaf ages of photosynthetic production under different degrees of drought. This study provides a more comprehensive and systematic perspective for understanding the drought resistance mechanisms of desert plants. | WANG Chunyuan YU Minghan DING Guodong GAO Guanglei ZHANG Linlin HE Yingying LIU Wei | 2021 | Journal of Arid Land2021,13,7: | 0
