| 10 | Phase relations,microstructure,and valence transition studies on CaZr1-xCexTi2O7(0.0≤x≤1.0)system显示文摘In this study, Ce-doped zirconolite was synthesized through high-temperature solid-state reaction at 1250 ℃ in air for 96 h. The crystal phase.microstructure and valence transition were studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Phase relations of CaZr_(1-x)Ce_xTi_2O_7 systems were determined by XRD analyses and Rietveld refinements.Four different phases are identified, namely zirconolite, perovskite, pyrochlore, and cerianite. The phase transformation(2M-zirconolite → 4M-zirconolite → Ce-pyrochlore) is caused by cations rearrangement as cerium content increases. The solubility limit of cerium ions in CaZr_(1-x)Ce_xTi_2O_7 system is estimated to be approximately 0.80. Under sintering air atmosphere, partial reduction of Ce^(4+) in Ce^(3+) is detected in Ce 3d XPS spectra, and the ratio of Ce^(3+) and Ce^(4+) significantly decreases as cerium content increases. | Weimin Li Faqin Dong Liang Bian Hao Zou Mianxin Song | 2018 | Journal of Rare Earths2018,36,11: | 1 |
| 11 | STRUCTURE AND MORPHOLOGY CHANGES OF HYDROBIOTITES MODIFIED BY CATIONIC SURFACTANTS显示文摘In this study, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR) together with Scanning probe microscopy (SPM) were used to characterize the structure and morphology of the complexes, where the hydrobiotites (Xinjiang) were modified by single-chain surfactants octyltrimethylammonium bromide (OTMA) and octadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (ODTMA). XRD patterns showed that the structure of complexes was significantly influenced by the surfactant concentration and the alkyl chain length, because obvious changes took place in the basal spacing. Furthermore, according to the XRD results, several arrangements of surfactant molecules within the hydrobiotite interlayer space were deduced. The FTIR spectrum indicated that the surfactant contents in complexes dramatically increased with the alkyl chain length. The SPM micrographs demonstrated that the surfaces of complexes prepared at lower surfactant concentration were relatively flat compared with that prepared at higher concentration, while those with higher surfactant concentration had much steeper surface due to the alkyl chain length.
