| 1 | Concurrent intracranial and extracranial artery stenosis and the prognosis of transient ischaemic symptoms or imaging-negative ischaemic stroke显示文摘Background and purpose Transient ischaemic attack(TIA),transient symptoms with infarction(TSI)and diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI)-negative acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)share similar aetiologies but are considered to have a rather benign prognosis.We intended to investigate the association between intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis(ICAS),extracranial atherosclerotic stenosis(ECAS)and the prognosis of patients with TIA,TSI and DWI-negative AIS.Methods Clinical and imaging data of eligible participants were derived from the Chinese Intracranial Atherosclerosis study,according to symptom duration,acute infarction on DWI and discharge diagnosis.Based on the severity and location of arterial atherosclerosis,we categorised the study population into four groups:no or<50% ICAS and no ECAS;≥50% ICAS but no ECAS;no or<50%ICAS with ECAS;and concurrent≥50% ICAS and ECAS.Using multivariable Cox regression models,we analysed the relationship between the severity and distribution of large artery atherosclerosis and the prognosis of TIA,TSI and DWI-negative AIS.Results A total of 806 patients were included,67.3% of whom were male.The median age of the study participants was 63 years.Patients in the concurrent≥50% ICAS and ECAS subgroup had both a significantly higher 1-year recurrence rate(adjusted HR 3.4(95%CI 1.15 to 10.04),p=0.027)and a higher risk of composite vascular events(adjusted HR 3.82(95%CI 1.50 to 9.72),p=0.005).Conclusions Concurrent ICAS and ECAS is associated with a higher possibility of 1-year recurrent stroke or composite vascular events.Large artery evaluation is necessary to assess patients with transient ischaemic symptoms or DWI-negative AIS.Progress in shortening the time interval between symptom onset and large vessel evaluation is needed. | Yue Suo Jing Jing Yuesong Pan Weiqi Chen Hongyu Zhou Hao Li Yuehua Pu Liping Liu Xingquan Zhao Yilong Wang Xia Meng Yongjun Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,1: | 10 |
| 2 | Telmisartan prevents high-fat diet-induced hypertension and decreases perirenal fat in rats显示文摘We sought to investigate the effects of telmisartan on high-fat diet-induced hypertension and to explore the possible underlying mechanisms.Rats receiving high-fat diet were randomly divided into two groups,the telmisartan group(n = 9) and the high-fat diet group(n = 10).The control group consisted of age-matched rats on a regular diet(n = 10).At the end of the treatment,the body weight,blood pressure,insulin sensitivity and serum adiponectin levels of all rats were examined,and their visceral fat was extracted and weighed.Our results showed that telmisartan improved insulin resistance and dyslipidemia and increased serum adiponectin levels.Telmisartan also lowered both systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure,and decreased the accumulation of perirenal fat associated with high-fat diet.Furthermore,telmisartan increased adiponectin mRNA expression in the perirenal fat.Correlation analysis showed that both systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were positively correlated with perirenal fat.These effects of telmisartan may be mediated through decreases in perirenal fat and contributed to the improvement of perirenal fat function.Our findings suggested a strong link between perirenal fat and high-fat diet-induced hypertension,and identified telmisartan as a potential drug for the treatment of obesity-related hypertension. | Yaping Wang Yan Song Meng Suo Xin Jin Gang Tian | 2012 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,3: | 3 |

| 4 | Stratifin promotes renal dysfunction in ischemic and nephrotoxic AKI mouse models via enhancing RIPK3-mediated necroptosis显示文摘Stratifin(SFN)is a member of the 14-3-3 family of highly conserved soluble acidic proteins,which regulates a variety of cellular activities such as cell cycle,cell growth and development,cell survival and death,and gene transcription.Acute kidney injury(AKI)is prevalent disorder characterized by inflammatory response,oxidative stress,and programmed cell death in renal tubular epithelial cells,but there is still a lack of effective therapeutic target for AKI.In this study,we investigated the role of SFN in AKI and the underlying mechanisms.We established ischemic and nephrotoxic AKI mouse models caused by ischemia–reperfusion(I/R)and cisplatin,respectively.We conducted proteomic and immunohistochemical analyses and found that SFN expression levels were significantly increased in AKI patients,cisplatin-or I/R-induced AKI mice.In cisplatin-or hypoxia/reoxygenation(H/R)-treated human proximal tubule epithelial cells(HK2),we showed that knockdown of SFN significantly reduced the expression of kidney injury marker Kim-1,attenuated programmed cell death and inflammatory response.Knockdown of SFN also significantly alleviated the decline of renal function and histological damage in cisplatin-caused AKI mice in vivo.We further revealed that SFN bound to RIPK3,a key signaling modulator in necroptosis,to induce necroptosis and the subsequent inflammation in cisplatin-or H/R-treated HK2 cells.Overexpression of SFN increased Kim-1 protein levels in cisplatin-treated MTEC cells,which was suppressed by RIPK3 knockout.Taken together,our results demonstrate that SFN that enhances cisplatin-or I/R-caused programmed cell death and inflammation via interacting with RIPK3 may serve as a promising therapeutic target for AKI treatment. | Fang Wang Jia-nan Wang Xiao-yan He Xiao-guo Suo Chao Li Wei-jian Ni Yu-ting Cai Yuan He Xin-yun Fang Yu-hang Dong Tian Xing Ya-ru Yang Feng Zhang Xiang Zhong Hong-mei Zang Ming-ming Liu Jun Li Xiao-ming Meng Juan Jin | 2022 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2022,43,2: | 2 |

| 6 | Effect of sex differences on prognosis of intravenous thrombolysis: data from the Thrombolysis Implementation and Monitor of Acute Ischemic Stroke in China (TIMS- China)显示文摘Background and purpose Previous studies have reported conflicting results as to whether women have poorer functional outcome than men after thrombolytic therapy.This study aims to investigate the relationship between sex differences and the prognosis of intravenous thrombolysis in Chinese patients with acute ischaemic stroke.Methods The patients enrolled in this study were from the Chinese Acute Ischemic Stroke Thrombolysis Monitoring and Registration study.The primary outcome was poor functional outcome,defined as a 3-month modified Rankin score of 3-6.The safe outcome was symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage(SICH)and mortality within 7 days and 90 days.Multiple Cox regression model was used to correct the potential covariates to evaluate the association between sex disparities and prognosis.Furthermore,the interaction of preonset Rankin scores,baseline National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)scores and Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment(TOAST)types was statistically analysed.results A total of 1440 patients were recruited,including 541 women and 899 men.The baseline information indicated that women were older at the time of onset(66.2±11.2 years vs 61.0±11.3 years,p<0.001),and more likely to have a history of atrial fibrillation(25.3%vs 11.2%,p<0.001),and had a higher NIHSS score on admission(12.3±6.8 vs 11.6±6.7,p=0.04).According to the prognosis analysis of unsatisfactory functional recovery,there was no significant difference between women and men(45.9%vs 37.1%;adjusted OR 1.01,95%CI 0.75 to 1.37).As for the safe outcome,the proportion of SICH and mortality in women is relatively high but did not reach statistical significance.There was no significant interaction with sex,age,preonset Rankin score,NIHSS score,TOAST classification and the prognosis of intravenous thrombolysis.Conclusions For Chinese patients with ischaemic stroke,although women are older and more severe at the time of onset,the prognosis after intravenous thrombolysis is not significantly different from men. | Hongyu Zhou Weiqi Chen Yuesong Pan Yue Suo Xia Meng Hao Li Yongjun Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,1: | 1 |

| 9 | The Effect of Curcumin on Proliferation and Apoptosis in LNCaP Prostate Cancer Cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of curcumin on proliferation and apop-tosis in the prostate cancer LNCaP cell line. METHODS The AXSYMTM system luciferase method was used to examine the effect of various concentratious of curcumin on the content of prostate specific antigen (PSA) in prostate cancer LNCaP cells. A pGL3-PSA luciferase expression vector, containing 640 bp DNA of the PSA gene 5' -promoter region was constructed and transfected into the LNCaP cells with lipofectin. By measuring luciferase activity, the effect of 10 μmol/L, 20 μmol/L, 30 and 40 μmol/L curcumin on the promoter was studied. Effects on cell growth and apoptosis were analyzed by microscopy, the MTT colorimetric assay and flow cytometry. Western-blotting was used to measure expression of the androgen receptor (AR) in the LNCaP cells treated with different concentrations of curcumin. RESULTS The results showed that the expression of PSA was inhibited as curcumin reduced the activity of luciferase. Curcumin also caused a sigificant concentration-dependent decrease in AR expession measured by Western -blotting. Cell growth was inhibited and apoptosis was induced. CONCLUSION By inhibiting AR expression, curcumin reduced the function of the PSA promoter and inhibited PSA protein expression. | 16 | Cube texture formation of Ni9.3W alloy substrates:preparation by optimized deformation sequence and anneal process显示文摘The Ni9.3 W alloy with no ferromagnetism and high yield strength is one of the most promising textured substrate materials for coated conductors,but its low stacking fault energy makes it difficult to obtain a strong cube texture by traditional rolling methods and recrystallization anneals.This paper introduces four-time static recoveries during the rolling process.Rolled tapes with80 μm in thickness were obtained by applying various deformation sequences between static recoveries to study their effects on the cube texture formation in Ni9.3 W alloy substrates.The results show that rising gradient deformation sequence is an advantageous way to obtain a higher amount of cube texture,its content increases by 29.2%compared to that of traditional deformation sequence.The effect of the new recrystallization annealing process on the cube texture formation was analyzed.It is shown that the cube texture content increases with anneal temperature increasing in one-step anneal,but decreases again at higher anneal temperature.Two-step anneal could effectively improve the cube texture content,which could be further enhanced by extending holding time during the first-step anneal.However,too long holding time leads to the decrease in cube texture content.Finally,Ni9.3 W alloy substrates with a cube texture content of ~90.0 vol%(<15°) are obtained by optimized two-step anneal. | Fa-Xue Peng Hong-Li Suo Lin Ma Hui Tian Min Liu Jing Liu Dan Yu Yi-Chen Meng | 2018 | Rare Metals2018,37,8: | 0 |
| 17 | Inconsistent centralised versus noncentralised ischaemic stroke aetiology显示文摘Background and purpose The Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment(TOAST)system is the most widely used aetiological categorisation system in clinical practice and research.Limited studies have validated the accuracy of routine aetiological diagnosis of patients with ischaemic stroke according to the TOAST criteria when the reported subtype is assumed to be correct.We investigated the agreement between centralised and non-centralised(site-reported,at discharge)stroke subtypes in the Third China National Stroke Registry(CNSR-III),and analysed the influence of classification consistency on evaluation during hospitalisation and for secondary prevention strategy.Methods All patients with ischaemic stroke from the CNSR-III study with complete diffusion-weighted imaging data were included.We used multivariable Cox proportional-hazard regression models to evaluate the factors associated with consistency between centralised and non-centralised stroke subtypes.Sensitivity analyses were conducted of the subgroup of patients with complete information.Results This study included 12180 patients(mean age,62.3 years;and women,31.4%).Agreement between centralised and non-centralised subtype was the highest for the large-artery atherosclerosis subtype stroke(77.4%of centralised patients),followed by the small-vessel occlusion subtype(40.6%of centralised patients).Agreements for cardioembolism and stroke of other determined aetiology subtypes were 38.7%and 12.2%,respectively.Patient-level and hospital-level factors were associated with the inconsistency between centralised/non-centralised aetiological subtyping.This inconsistency was related to differences in secondary prevention strategies.Only 15.3%of the newly diagnosed patients with cardioembolism underwent centralised subtyping with indications to receive oral anticoagulants at discharge.In comparison,51.3%of the consistent cardioembolism group and 42.0%of the centrally reassigned cardioembolism group with anticoagulation indications were prescribed oral anticoagulants.Conclusions Substantial inconsistency exists between centralised and non-centralised subtyping in China.Inaccurate aetiological subtyping could lead to inadequate secondary prevention,especially in patients with cardioembolic stroke. | Yue Suo Jing Jing Xia Meng Zixiao Li Yuesong Pan Yong Jiang Xiaomeng Yang Huan Liu Hongyi Yan Liping Liu Xingquan Zhao Yilong Wang Hao Li Yongjun Wang | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,4: | 0 |
