| 2 | Exogenous hydrogen sulfide inhibits apoptosis by regulating endoplasmic reticulum stress-autophagy axis and improves myocardial reconstruction after acute myocardial infarction显示文摘During acute myocardial infarction,endoplasm ic reticulum(ER)stress-induced autophagy and apoptosis have been shown as im portant pathogeneses of myocardial reconstruction.Im portantly,hydrogen sulfide(H2S),as a third endogenous gas signaling molecule,exerts strong cytoprotective effect on anti-ER stress,autophagy regulation and antiapoptosis.Here,we showed that H2 S treatm ent inhibits apoptosis by regulating ER stress-autophagy axis and im proves myocardial reconstruction after acute myocardial infarction.We found that H2S intervention im proved left ventricle function,reduced glycogen deposition in myocardial tissue mesenchyme,and inhibited apoptosis.Moreover,the expressions of fibrosis indicators(Col3a1 and Col1a2),ER stress-related proteins(CHOP and BIP/ERP78),autophagy-related proteins(Beclin and ATG5),apoptosis protein(Bax),as well as fibrosis protein Col4a3bp were all decreased after treatm ent w ith H2 S.H2 S adm inistration also m aintained MMP/TIMP balance.Mechanistically,H2S activated the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.In addition,H2S treatm ent also reduced the expressions of ER stress-related proteins,autophagy-related proteins,and apoptins in in wtro experiments.Interestingly,activation of ER stress-autophagy axis could reverse the inhibitory effect of H2S on myocardial apoptosis.Altogether,these results suggested that exogenous H2S suppresses myocardial apoptosis by blocking ER stress-autophagy axis,which in turn reverses cardiac rem odeling after myocardial infarction. | Yaling Li Maojun Liu Jiali Yi Xiong Song Xia Zheng Da Liu Sen Wang Chun Chu Jun Yang | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,12: | 5 |

| 5 | Image Tagging by Semantic Neighbor Learning Using User-Contributed Social Image Datasets显示文摘The explosive increase in the number of images on the Internet has brought with it the great challenge of how to effectively index, retrieve, and organize these resources. Assigning proper tags to the visual content is key to the success of many applications such as image retrieval and content mining. Although recent years have witnessed many advances in image tagging, these methods have limitations when applied to high-quality and large-scale training data that are expensive to obtain. In this paper, we propose a novel semantic neighbor learning method based on user-contributed social image datasets that can be acquired from the Web's inexhaustible social image content. In contrast to existing image tagging approaches that rely on high-quality image-tag supervision, we acquire weak supervision of our neighbor learning method by progressive neighborhood retrieval from noisy and diverse user-contributed image collections. The retrieved neighbor images are not only visually alike and partially correlated but also semantically related. We offer a step-by-step and easy-to-use implementation for the proposed method. | 12 | Comparative genomic analyses reveal cis-regulatory divergence after polyploidization in cotton显示文摘Polyploidization has long been recognized as a driver for the evolutionary formation of superior plant traits coupled with gene expression novelty.However,knowledge of the effect of regulatory variation on expression changes following polyploidization remains limited.In this study,we characterized transcriptional regulatory divergence by comparing tetraploid cotton with its putative diploid ancestors.We identified 144,827,99,609,and 219,379 Tn5 transposase-hypersensitive sites(THSs)in Gossypium arboreum,G.raimondii,and G.hirsutum,respectively,and found that the conservation of promoter THSs was associated with coordination of orthologous genes expression.This observation was consistent with analysis of transcription-factor binding sites(TFBS)for 262 known motifs:genes with higher TFBS conservation scores(CS)showed less change than those genes with lower TFBS CS in expression levels.TFBS influenced by genomic variation were involved in the novel regulation networks between transcriptional factors and target genes in tetraploid cotton.We describe an example showing that the turnover of TFBS was linked to expression pattern divergence of genes involved in fiber development(fiber-related genes).Our findings reveal the regulatory divergence of the transcriptional network in cotton after polyploidization and characterizes the regulatory relationships of genes contributing to desirable traits. | Jiaqi You Min Lin Zhenping Liu Liuling Pei Yuexuan Long Lili Tu Xianlong Zhang Maojun Wang | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,6: | 0 |

| 17 | Multidimensional diversity of bird communities across spatial variation of land cover in Zoige on the eastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Background:Spatial variation of land cover can result in the changes of community similarities and biotic homog-enization,whereby the increasing similarity would reduce the adaptive capacity of biotic assemblages to further disturbance,and degenerate ecosystem services they offer.However,it remains scarce to integrate multidimensional diversity for unveiling how variations in land cover may influence the patterns and processes of biotic homogeniza-tion in the Anthropocene.In this study,we examined how spatial variation of land cover could alter taxonomic,phy-logenetic and functional homogenization of bird communities simultaneously in a compound ecosystem of Zoige Marsh on the eastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.Acting as the largest alpine marsh and peatland in the world,Zoige Marsh has undergone great changes in the land cover pattern due to climate change and anthropogenic activities.Methods:We conducted transect surveys for bird communities over six years(2014‒2019)during breeding sea-sons in four main land cover types(meadow,woodland,village and marsh),representing the spatial variation of land covers in the study area.We compared multidimensional diversity(taxonomic,phylogenetic and functional diver-sity)among land covers to assess the effects of spatial variation in land cover type on bird communities,particularly whether this variation has homogenized biotic communities.Results:Bird communities during breeding seasons were different and complementary in the four land covers.Taxonomic,phylogenetic and functional similarities were significantly lower in meadow than in the other three types,i.e.woodland,village and marsh.However,when we controlled for the effects of taxonomic similarities,the pattern of phylogenetic similarities almost reversed,with the highest standardized effect size(SES)phylogenetic similarity in meadow;and we found no significant difference in SES functional similarity among land covers.Conclusions:Our results suggest that spatial variation of land cover can play a crucial role in regulating multiple dimensions of bird diversity in Zoige Marsh.The findings indicate that taxonomic,phylogenetic and functional homogenization of bird communities may differently response to the variation of land covers.It thus highlights not only the relative roles of different land covers in maintaining biodiversity and community structures of birds,but also the urgency of retarding ecosystem degradations on the eastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. | Aichun Xu Maojun Zhong Ke Tang Xiaoyi Wang Chen Yang Haigen Xu Jianfeng Yi Wei Liu Chunlan Zhang Junhua Hu | 2021 | Avian Research2021,12,2: | 0 |
| 18 | Subarachnoid hemorrhage after surgery of the medulla oblongata hemangioblastoma:A case report显示文摘Objectives: To discuss the bleeding mechanisms after removing a medulla oblongata hemangioblastoma. Methods: A 42-year-old male patient was diagnosed with a medulla oblongata hemangioblastoma. Preoperative cranial magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography angiography and post-surgery computed tomography were completed during clinical procedure. We also reviewed the related literatures. Results: The preoperative computed tomography angiography did not demonstrate any intracranial aneurysm. But, the patient had a fatal subarachnoid hemorrhage with ventricular hemorrhage 4 hours after surgery following the post-surgery computed tomography. Conclusions: Subarachnoid hemorrhage after surgery of the medulla oblongata hemangioblastoma is very rare.
