| 1 | Design,Modeling,and Control of Biomimetic Fish Robot:A Review显示文摘A comprehensive review on bio-inspired fish robots has been done in this article with an enhanced focus on swimming styles,actuators,hydrodynamics,kinematic-dynamic modeling,and controllers.Swimming styles such as body and/or caudal fin and median and/or paired fin and their variants are discussed in detail.Literature shows that most fish robots adapt carangiform in body and/or caudal fin type swimming as it gives significant thrust with a maximum speed of 3.7 ms 1 in iSplash-II.Applications of smart or soft actuators to enhance real-time dynamics was studied from literature,and it was found that the robot built with polymer fiber composite material could reach a speed of 0.6 m s However,dynamic modeling is relatively complex,and material selection needs to be explored.The numerical and analytical methods in dynamic modeling have been investigated highlighting merits and demerits.Hydrodynamic parameter estimation through the data-driven model is widely used in offline,however online estimation of the same need to be explored.Classical controllers are frequently used tor navigation and stabilization,which often encounters the linearization problem and hence,can be replaced with the state-of-the-art adaptive and intelligent controller.This article also summarizes the potential research gaps and future scopes. | Palmani Duraisamy Rakesh Kumar Sidharthan Manigandan Nagarajan Santhanakrishnan | 2019 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2019,16,6: | 7 |

| 9 | Additive manufacturing of biodegradable porous orthopaedic screw显示文摘Advent of additive manufacturing in biomedical field has nurtured fabrication of complex,customizable and reproducible orthopaedic implants.Layer-by-layer deposition of biodegradable polymer employed in development of porous orthopaedic screws promises gradual dissolution and complete metabolic resorption thereby overcoming the limitations of conventional metallic screws.In the present study,screws with different pore sizes(916×918μm to 254×146μm)were 3D printed at 200μm layer height by varying printing parameters such as print speed,fill density and travel speed to augment the bone ingrowth.Micro-CT analysis and scanning electron micrographs of screws with 45%fill density confirmed porous interconnections(40.1%)and optimal pore size(259×207×200μm)without compromising the mechanical strength(24.58±1.36 MPa).Due to the open pore structure,the 3D printed screws showed increased weight gain due to the deposition of calcium when incubated in simulated body fluid.Osteoblast-like cells attached on screw and infiltrated into the pores over 14 days of in vitro culture.Further,the screws also supported greater human mesenchymal stem cell adhesion,proliferation and mineralized matrix synthesis over a period of 21 days in vitro culture as compared to non-porous screws.These porous screws showed significantly increased vascularization in a rat subcutaneous implantation as compared to control screws.Porous screws produced by additive manufacturing may promote better osteointegration due to enhanced mineralization and vascularization. | Ramya Dhandapani Priya Dharshini Krishnan Allen Zennifer Vishal Kannan Amrutha Manigandan Michael R.Arul Devina Jaiswal Anuradha Subramanian Sangamesh Gurappa Kumbar Swaminathan Sethuraman | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,3: | 1 |

| 17 | Structural,electrical and magnetic studies on Y-Fe-O system显示文摘The compounds of iron substituted yttrium oxide systems have been prepared for the importance in the field of magneto electric materials.The polycrystalline samples of Y2-xFexO3-y(x=0.1,0.2) were prepared by solid-state reaction method.The single-phase formation of these compounds was confirmed by X-ray diffraction studies.It was found that the samples crystallized in tetragonal phase and the lattice parameters were calculated as a=1.0559(7) nm,c=1.0832(9) nm for Y1.9Fe0.1O3-y and a=1.0545(6) nm,c=1.0841(8) nm for Y1.8Fe0.2O3-y.The lattice constant changed with the variation of Fe concentration,which indicated the incorporation of Fe3+ into the hosting Y2O3.The semi conducting nature of the prepared compounds was observed with the energy gap calculation from diffused reflectance spectroscopy(DRS) studies.The ferromagnetic nature of the prepared compounds was identified with vibrating sample magnetometer studies.This information were corroborated by the observation of the well broadened EPR lines in the electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR) spectra of the samples with a low Fe concentration,which manifested the onset of Fe-Fe exchange interaction in the prepared samples. | Anbarasu Venugopalan Manigandan Appasamy Sathiyakumar Saravanan Kaliyaperumal Kothandaraman Jayabalan Kothandaraman | 2009 | Journal of Rare Earths2009,27,6: | 1 |
