1Kinematic Analysis and Design of a 3-DOF Translational Parallel Robot显示文摘Parallel mechanisms are widely used in various fields of engineering and industrial applications such as machine tools, flight simulators, earthquake simulators, medical equipment, etc. Parallel mechanisms are restricted to some limitations such as irregular workspace, existence of singular points and complexity of control systems which should be studied and analyzed for effective and efficient use. In this research, a new machine tool with parallel mechanism which has three translational degrees of freedom is studied and the workspace and singular points are determined by deriving analytical equations and then utilizing of Matlab software. To do so, forward and inverse kinematics of the mechanism are obtained and workspace and singular points are calculated using a search algorithm.Afterward, in order to validate the results, the proposed mechanism is simulated in automatic dynamics analysis of mechanical systems(ADAMS) software. Moreover, in order to investigate the quality of robot performance and dexterity of the mechanism in its workspace,global dexterity index(GDI) of the robot is calculated using Jacobean matrix at different positions of the mobile platform.Mahmood Mazare Mostafa Taghizadeh M. 3Using multivariate adaptive regression splines to develop relationship between rock quality designation and permeability显示文摘The assessment of in situ permeability of rock mass is challenging for large-scale projects such as reservoirs created by dams,where water tightness issues are of prime importance.The in situ permeability is strongly related to the frequency and distribution of discontinuities in the rock mass and quantified by rock quality designation(RQD).This paper analyzes the data of hydraulic conductivity and discontinuities sampled at different depths during the borehole investigations in the limestone and sandstone formations for the construction of hydraulic structures in Oman.Cores recovered from boreholes provide RQD data,and in situ Lugeon tests elucidate the permeability.A modern technique of multivariate adaptive regression splines(MARS)assisted in correlating permeability and RQD along with the depth.In situ permeability shows a declining trend with increasing RQD,and the depth of investigation is within 50 m.This type of relationship can be developed based on detailed initial investigations at the site where the hydraulic conductivity of discontinuous rocks is required to be delineated.The relationship can approximate the permeability by only measuring the RQD in later investigations on the same site,thus saving the time and cost of the site investigations.The applicability of the relationship developed in this study to another location requires a lithological similarity of the rock mass that can be verified through preliminary investigation at the site.Mohsin Usman Qureshi Zafar Mahmood Ali Murtaza Rasool 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,4:1
4In vitro-in vivo correlation study on nimesulide loaded hydroxypropylmethylcellulose microparticles显示文摘This study involves mathematical simulation model such as in vitro-in vivo correlation(IVIVC) development for various extended release formulations of nimesulide loaded hydroxypropylmethylcellulose(HPMC) microparticles(M1,M2 and M3 containing 1,2,and 3 g HPMC,respectively and 1 g drug in each) having variable release characteristics.In vitro dissolution data of these formulations were correlated to their relevant in vivo absorption profiles followed by predictability worth analysis of these Level A IVIVC.Nimaran was used as control formulation to validate developed formulations and their respective models.The regression coefficients of IVIVC plots for M1,M2,M3 and Nimaran were 0.834 9,0.831 2,0.927 2 and 0.898 1,respectively.The internal prediction error for all formulations was within limits,i.e.,<10%.A good IVIVC was found for controlled release nimesulide loaded HPMC floating M3 microparticles.In other words,this mathematical simulation model is best fit for biowaiver studies which involves study parameters as those adopted for M3 because the value of its IVIVC regression coefficient is the closest to 1 as compared to M1 and M2.Shujaat Ali KHAN Mahmood AHMAD Ghulam MURTAZA Muhammad Naeem AAMIR Rozina KOUSAR Fatima RASOOL Shahiq-u-ZAMAN 2010药学学报2010,45,6:0

6Assessment of Biochemical and Antioxidative Status in Patients Suffering from Dengue Fever显示文摘A multi-centred study was designed to collect dengue epidemiologic data from government and registered private hospitals/clinics and maintained archive of frozen specimens in bio-bank to be used for future dengue epidemic control program, and assess the epidemiology of dengue fever(DF) by evaluating biochemical and oxidative status of patients. ELISA Ig M antibodies test was done to confirm DF. From August 2010 to December 2011, 101 confirmed blood samples of DF patients referred to pathology lab of Jinnah Hospital Lahore were subjected to the epidemiologic assessment by evaluating the biochemical and physiological indices and alterations of circulating antioxidants. Clinical features of DF patients and effect of fever on blood components and serum proteins of liver were recorded. The hospital stay in DF, dengue hemorrhagic fever(DHF) and dengue shock syndrome(DSS) showed significant difference. Significant increases in serum alanine amino transferase(ALT)(P=0.000), aspartate amino transferase(AST)(P=0.000), alkaline phosphatase(ALP)(P=0.000), malondialdehyde(MDA) along with significant decreases in total protein(TP)(P=0.000), reduced glutathione(GSH)(P=0.000), superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase(CAT)(P=0.000), and sialic acid contents(P=0.016) were observed. A positive correlation existed between bound sialic acid levels, liver enzymes and circulating antioxidants(r=0.656, P=0.016).
