| 1 | Seasonal variation in body mass and energy budget in Chinese bulbuls (pycnonotus sinensis)显示文摘Background: Seasonal adjustments in body mass and energy budget are important for the survival of small birds in temperate zones. Seasonal changes in body mass, body temperature, gross energy intake(GEI), digestible energy intake(DEI), body fat content, as well as length and mass of the digestive tract, were measured in Chinese Bulbuls(Pycnonotus sinensis) caught in the wild at Wenzhou, China.Methods: Body mass was determined with a Sartorius balance. The caloric contents of the dried food and feces were then determined using a oxygen bomb calorimeter. Total fat was extracted from the dried carcasses by ether extraction in a Soxhlet apparatus. The digestive tract of each bird was measured and weighed, and was then dried to a constant mass.Results: Body mass showed a significant seasonal variation and was higher in spring and winter than in summer and autumn. Body fat was higher in winter than in other seasons. GEI and DEI were significantly higher in winter.The length and mass of the digestive tract were greatest in winter and the magnitude of both these parameters was positively correlated with body mass, GEI and DEI. Small passerines typically have higher daily energy expenditure in winter, necessitating increased food consumption.Conclusions: This general observation is consistent with the observed winter increase in gut volume and body mass in Chinese Bulbuls. | 2 | Source-sink System and Sedimentary Model of Progradational Fan Delta Controlled by Restricted Ancient Gully:An Example in the Enping Formation in the Southern Baiyun Sag,Pearl River Mouth Basin,Northern South China Sea显示文摘Tectonic activity occurred during the depositional period of the Enping Formation in the southern Baiyun Sag in the Pearl River Mouth Basin,with a series of synsedimentary faults and a set of large fan delta reservoir bodies developing.There is no data from drilling,cores,etc.for this area,so this paper applies three-dimensional seismic data to study the structural style of the steep slope zone,the seismic facies characteristics of fan deltas,and the source-sink system and sedimentary model of the Enping Formation.The control action of tectonic activity on fan deltaic sedimentary systems is studied by combining interpretation of fault systems,dissection of structural styles,seismic reflection structure,seismic facies geometry,and seismic attribute analysis,together with theoretical analysis of the source-sink deposition process.The Baiyun Sag has experienced tectonic activity since the Eocene,and a series of synsedimentary faults are developed in the southern steep slope zone.Under the common control of multiple large synsedimentary faults,a large ancient gully formed in the steep slope zone in the south,which gradually widened from south to north.The uplift area in the southern part of the sag was exposed for a long time during the deposition of the Enping Formation and consequently suffered weathering and erosion.The resulting sediments were transported through a system of provenance channels composed of slopes and an ancient gully to the depression area,where they were deposited and eventually converged to form a large fan delta.The fan delta presents the overall characteristics of NS strong wedge reflection and EW strong domal reflection—thick in the middle part and thin in the wings.It displays a lobe-shaped distribution on the plane,with the fan root pointing to the south slope.According to differences in reflection intensity from bottom to top,it can be subdivided into three stages of progradational sedimentary bodies—the southern uplift and denudation zone,the large ancient gully,and the fan delta—which together constitute a complete source-sink system.This represents a sedimentary model of progradational fan delta under the overall joint control of the re stricted ancient gully and syndepositional faults. | FENG Congjun YAO Xingzong YANG Haizhang LI Daming SUN Mengsi | 2021 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,1: | 4 |
| 3 | Data-Driven Heuristic Assisted Memetic Algorithm for Efficient Inter-Satellite Link Scheduling in the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System显示文摘Inter-satellite link(ISL)scheduling is required by the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System(BDS)to guarantee the system ranging and communication performance.In the BDS,a great number of ISL scheduling instances must be addressed every day,which will certainly spend a lot of time via normal metaheuristics and hardly meet the quick-response requirements that often occur in real-world applications.To address the dual requirements of normal and quick-response ISL schedulings,a data-driven heuristic assisted memetic algorithm(DHMA)is proposed in this paper,which includes a high-performance memetic algorithm(MA)and a data-driven heuristic.In normal situations,the high-performance MA that hybridizes parallelism,competition,and evolution strategies is performed for high-quality ISL scheduling solutions over time.When in quick-response situations,the data-driven heuristic is performed to quickly schedule high-probability ISLs according to a prediction model,which is trained from the high-quality MA solutions.The main idea of the DHMA is to address normal and quick-response schedulings separately,while high-quality normal scheduling data are trained for quick-response use.In addition,this paper also presents an easy-to-understand ISL scheduling model and its NP-completeness.A seven-day experimental study with 10080 one-minute ISL scheduling instances shows the efficient performance of the DHMA in addressing the ISL scheduling in normal(in 84 hours)and quick-response(in 0.62 hour)situations,which can well meet the dual scheduling requirements in real-world BDS applications. | Yonghao Du Ling Wang Lining Xing Jungang Yan Mengsi Cai | 2021 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,11: | 4 |
| 4 | Mobility in China,2020:a tale of four phases显示文摘2020 was an unprecedented year;with rapid and drastic changes in human mobility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.To understand the variation in commuting patterns among the Chinese population across stable and unstable periods,we used nationwide mobility data from 318 million mobile phone users in China to examine the extreme fluctuations of population movements in 2020,ranging from the Lunar New Year travel season(chunyun),to the exceptional calm of COVID-19 lockdown,and then to the recovery period.We observed that cross-city movements;which increased substantially in chunyun and then dropped sharply during the lockdown,are primarily dependent on travel distance and the socio-economic development of cities.Following the Lunar New Year holiday,national mobility remained low until mid-February,and COVID-19 interventions delayed more than 72.89 million people returning to large cities.Mobility network analysis revealed clusters of highly connected cities,conforming to the social-economic division of urban agglomerations in China.While the mass migration back to large cities was delayed,smaller cities connected more densely to form new clusters.During the recovery period after travel restrictions were lifted,the netflows of over 55%city pairs reversed in direction compared to before the lockdown.These findings offer the most comprehensive picture of Chinese mobility at fine resolution across various scenarios in China and are of critical importance for decision making regarding future public-health-emergency response,transportation planning and regional economic development,among others. | Suoyi Tan Shengjie Lai Fan Fang Ziqiang Cao Bin Sai Bing Song Bitao Dai Shuhui Guo Chuchu Liu Mengsi Cai Tong Wang Mengning Wang Jiaxu Li Saran Chen Shuo Qin Jessica R.Floyd Zhidong Cao Jing Tan Xin Sun Tao Zhou Wei Zhang Andrew J.Tatem Petter Holme Xiaohong Chen Xin Lu | 2021 | National Science Review2021,8,11: | 3 |

| 6 | Decomposition of factors influencing carbon emissions in the region of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,based on the perspective of terminal energy consumption显示文摘In order to analyze the factors influencing carbon emissions in the region of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and to explore the pathways to developing a low-carbon economy,this paper begins with the terminal energy consumption of three industries and residential consumption,and constructs an identical equation which is composed of population size,level of economic development,energy intensity,the proportion of energy consumption,energy structure,and the coefficient of carbon emissions.Based on the data of terminal energy consumption during 2000-2012,various factors are analyzed and their contribution is measured by Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index(LMDI).The results show that the levels of population and economy have a positive driving effect while energy intensity,energy structure,and carbon intensity have a negative driving effect;the proportion of energy consumption had a negative driving effect prior to 2006,then changed to positive.Among suggestions for a low-carbon economy are controlling population size,improving the quality of economic development,supporting research into new energy technology,accelerating regional integration and optimizing industrial structure,and enhancing environmental protection and spreading the concept of a low-carbon economy. | Xiaohong Yu Mengsi Zhang | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2014,12,4: | 2 |

| 9 | Preparation of electrically enhanced forward osmosis(FO)membrane by two-dimensional MXenes for organic fouling mitigation显示文摘In this work,a conductive thin film composite forward osmosis(TFC-FO)membrane was firstly prepared via vacuum filtering MXenes nanolayer on the outer surface of polyethersulfone membrane followed by interfacial polymerization in the other side.Moreover,its feasibility of mitigating organic fouling under electric field was evaluated.Results indicated that the addition of MXenes greatly reduced the electric resistance of membrane from 2.1×10^(12)Ωto 46.8Ω,enhanced the membrane porosity and promoted the membrane performance in terms of the ratio of water flux to reverse salt flux.The modified TFC-FO membrane presented the optimal performance with 0.47 g/m^(2)loading amount of MXenes.Organic fouling experiments using sodium alginate(SA)and bovine serum albumin(BSA)as representative demonstrated that the introduction of MXenes could effectively enhance the anti-fouling ability of TFC-FO membrane under the electric field of 2 V.The interelectron repulsion hindered organic foulants attaching into membrane surface and thus effectively alleviated the membrane fouling.More importantly,the modified TFC-FO membrane showed good stability during the fouling experiment of 10 h.In all,our work proved that introducing MXenes into the porous layer of support is feasible to alleviate organic fouling of FO membrane. | Mengsi Xu Pin Zhao Chuyang Y.Tang Xiawen Yi Xinhua Wang | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,8: | 1 |

In the present study, we measured diurnal variations in body mass, body temperature and basal metabolic rate(BMR) for seasonally acclimatized Hwameis(Garrulax canorus).Methods: Body mass was determined with a Sartorius balance. Metabolic rates of Hwameis were measured with an open-circuit respirometry system.Results: Body masses varied with time of day and were higher in daytime for Hwameis in both summer and winter, and body masses in winter were higher compared to that in summer. Body temperatures of Hwameis were higher in daytime, and the summer acclimatized birds had significantly higher body temperatures compared to the winter acclimatized birds. | 12 | Efficient degradation of atrazine through in-situ anchoring NiCo_(2)O_(4) nanosheets on biochar to activate sulfite under neutral condition显示文摘Sulfite (S(IV)) is a promising substitute for sulfate radical-based advanced oxidation processes.Here,a composite of in-situ anchoring Ni Co_(2)O_(4)nanosheets on biochar (BC) was firstly employed as a heterogeneous activator for sulfite (Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC-sulfite) to degrade atrazine (ATZ) in the neutral environment.The synergistic coupling of BC and Ni Co_(2)O_(4)endows the resulting composite excellent catalytic activity.82% of the degradation ratio of ATZ (1 mg/L) could be achieved within 10 min at initial concentrations of 0.6 g/L Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC,3.0 mmol/L sulfite in neutral environment.When further supplementing sulfite into the system at 20 min (considering the depletion of sulfite),outstanding degradation efficiency (100%) were achieved in the next 10 min without any other energy input by the Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC-sulfite system.The features of the prepared catalysts and the effects of some key parameters on ATZ degradation were systematically examined.A strong inner-sphere complexation (≡Co_(2)+/Ni^(2+)-SO_(3)^(2-)) was explored between sulfite and the metal sites on the Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC surface.The redox cycle of the surface metal efficiently mediated sulfite activation and triggered the series radical chain reactions.The generated radicals,in particular the surface-bound radicals were involved in ATZ degradation.High performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS) technique was used to detect the degradation intermediates.Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed to illustrate the possible degradation pathways of ATZ.Finally,an underlying mechanism for ATZ removal was proposed.The present study offered a low-cost and sustainable catalyst for sulfite activation to remove ATZ in an environmentally friendly manner from wastewater. | Lizhen Feng Yijin Yuan Xianqin He Mengsi Wu Lizhi Zhang Jingming Gong | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4: | 1 |

Therefore, high-performance non-fullerene organic bulk heterojunction consisting of poly[(2,6-(4,8-bis(5-(2-ethylhexyl)thiophen-2-yl)benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b' ]dithiophene))-co-(1,3-di(5-thiophene-2-yl)–5,7-bis(2-ethylhexyl) benzo[1,2-c:4,5-c']dithiophene-4,8-dione)] (PBDB-T) and 3,9-bis(2-methylene-(3-(1,1-dicyanomethylene)-indanone))–5,5,11,11-tetrakis(4-hexylphenyl)-dithieno[2,3-d:2' ,3'-d' ]-s-indaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b' ]-dithio-phene (ITIC) are used to investigate the correlation among various donor: acceptor (D:A) ratios, photophysical properties and photovoltaic performance. Interestingly, the function of short-circuit current (Jsc) and D:A ratios demonstrates an axisymmetric trend. When the blending ratio of D:A deviates from the optimal ratio, the symmetrically decreased Jsc is derived from a reduction in the D:A interface or amorphous region. Research on the steady-state photoluminescence (PL), the time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy measurements, atomic force microscopic (AFM) and grazing-incidence small angle X-rays scattering (GIWAXS) indicates no significant variation in energy loss in the process of changing D:A ratios in BHJs. First, online data are collected with focused crawlers and preprocessed to filter noise and duplicate. Then, user opinions are extracted based on the defined template, and users' sentiments are analyzed.Based on the relationship between user sentiments and attribute parameters, the parameter range that satisfies customers can be obtained.
