3Stable Lithium-Carbon Composite Enabled by Dual-Salt Additives显示文摘Lithium metal is regarded as the ultimate negative electrode material for secondary batteries due to its high energy density.However,it suffers from poor cycling stability because of its high reactivity with liquid electrolytes.Therefore,continuous efforts have been put into improving the cycling Coulombic efficiency(CE)to extend the lifespan of the lithium metal negative electrode.Herein,we report that using dual-salt additives of LiPF_(6) and LiNO_(3) in an ether solvent-based electrolyte can significantly improve the cycling stability and rate capability of a Li-carbon(Li-CNT)composite.As a result,an average cycling CE as high as 99.30% was obtained for the Li-CNT at a current density of 2.5 mA cm^(-2) and an negative electrode to positive electrode capacity(N/P)ratio of 2.The cycling stability and rate capability enhancement of the Li-CNT negative electrode could be attributed to the formation of a better solid electrolyte interphase layer that contains both inorganic components and organic polyether.The former component mainly originates from the decomposition of the LiNO_(3) additive,while the latter comes from the LiPF_(6)-induced ring-opening polymerization of the ether solvent.This novel surface chemistry significantly improves the CE of Li negative electrode,revealing its importance for the practical application of lithium metal batteries.Lei Zheng Feng Guo Tuo Kang Yingzhu Fan Wei Gu Yayun Mao Ya Liu Rong Huang Zhiyun Li Yanbin Shen Wei Lu Liwei Chen 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,7:3
4Impact of Land Use Change on Vegetation Carbon Storage During Rapid Urbanization:A Case Study of Hangzhou,China显示文摘Land use changes have significant impacts on the carbon balance in an urban ecosystem.When there is rapid development in urbanizing regions,land use changes have a dramatic effect on vegetation carbon storage(VCS).This study investigates the impact of land use change on VCS in a period of rapid urbanization in Hangzhou,China.The results show that:1)from 2000 to 2015,land use in Hangzhou underwent huge changes,mainly reflected in decrease in cropland and wetland and the increased settlement.More than 34.58%of the land was transformed,and the land use changes are primarily characterized by a significant decrease in cropland due to the occupation by settlement.2)over the 15 years,changes in land use led to a decrease of 3.93×10^(5) t of VCS in the urban ecosystem.The large-scale transformation of cropland and wetland,which have a comparatively high carbon density,into land for settlement exerted a negative impact on VCS.3)The central city,which with the Circle-E/I/O mode,had the lowest comprehensive land use dynamic degree,leading to moderate land use change and an increase in VCS;Yuhang and Xiaoshan,which with Multicore-E/O/I mode and Fan-E/O/I modes,had a higher comprehensive land use dynamic degree,drastic changes in land use,and a decrease in VCS.This study proposes a reliable method of estimating changes in VCS,clarifies the relationship between land use change and VCS during rapid urbanization,and provides recommendations for sustainable urban development.WANG Zhi XU Lihua SHI Yijun MA Qiwei WU Yaqi LU Zhangwei MAO Liwei PANG Enqi ZHANG Qi 2021Chinese Geographical Science2021,31,2:3

6Trimethoxyboroxine as an electrolyte additive to enhance the 4.5​V cycling performance of a Ni-rich layered oxide cathode显示文摘Ni-rich layered oxides are attractive cathode materials for advanced lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)due to their high energy density.However,their large-scale application is seriously hindered by their interfacial instability,especially at a high cut-off potential.Here,we demonstrate that trimethoxyboroxine(TMOBX)is an effective film-forming additive to address the interfacial instability of LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O_(2)(NCM811)material at a high cut-off voltage of 4.5​V.We find that TMOBX decomposes before carbonate solvent and forms a thin cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI)layer on the surface of the NCM811 material.This TMOBX-formed CEI significantly suppresses electrolyte decomposition at a high potential and inhibits the dissolution of transition metals from NCM811 during cycling.In addition,electron-deficient borate compounds coordinate with anions(PF6^(−),F^(-) etc.)and H2O in the battery,further improving the battery's stability.As a result,adding 1.0​wt%of TMOBX boosts the capacity retention of a Li||NCM811​cell from 68.72%to 86.60%after 200 cycles at 0.5C in the range of 2.8–4.5​V.Wei Gu Guoyong Xue Qingyu Dong Ruowei Yi Yayun Mao Lei Zheng Haikuo Zhang Xiulin Fan Yanbin Shen Liwei Chen 2022eScience2022,2,5:1
7Densely packed overlayer of iron phthalocyanine molecules grown on single-layer graphene显示文摘The formation of densely packed overlayer of iron phthalocyanine(FePc) molecules on single-layer graphene(SLG) epitaxially grown on Ru(0001) is studied by means of low temperature scanning tunneling microscopy. We show that the FePc molecules form single molecular arrays, ordered honeycomb lattice, Kagome lattice and square lattice with increasing molecular coverage. The densely packed square lattice of the molecular layer is modulated by the moire pattern of SLG/Ru(0001). The superposition of the square lattice of the molecular layer on the hexagonal lattice of SLG moire pattern leads to the formation of a larger strip moiré pattern.
