| 1 | 动床条件下溃坝水流的二维水沙耦合模型显示文摘现有大部分溃坝水流模型仅适用于模拟定床条件下的水流演进,但溃坝水流经常是在动床条件下演进。因此非常有必要同时模拟溃坝洪水演进时的水沙输移及床面冲淤过程。本文首先建立了动床条件下溃坝水流的二维水沙耦合模型。该模型主要由二维浑水控制方程、非均匀沙不平衡输移方程及河床冲淤方程组成,采用水沙耦合解法以及基于无结构三角网格下的有限体积法离散。同时利用Roe-MUSCL方法以及时间方向的预估-校正格式,使模型在时空方向具有二阶计算精度。然后采用已有算例及水槽试验资料对模型进行了初步验证。最后采用该模型研究了均匀沙及非均匀沙床面对典型溃坝水流演进的影响。模拟结果表明溃坝水流在定床及动床条件下的演进过程明显不同。溃坝水流因流速大,床面变形较快,且床面冲淤速率可与水流变化速率相当,故需要采用浑水控制方程及耦合解法。 | 夏军强 王光谦 Lin Binliang 谈广鸣 | 2011 | 水利学报2011,42,3: | 11 |
| 2 | Microbial diversity accumulates in a downstream direction in the Three Gorges Reservoir显示文摘Organic and inorganic materials migrate downstream and have important roles in regulating environmental health in the river networks.However,it remains unclear whether and how a mixture of materials(i.e.,microbial species)from various upstream habitats contribute to microbial community coalescence upstream of a dam.Here we track the spatial variation in microbial abundance and diversity in the Three Gorges Reservoir based on quantitative PCR and 16 S rRNA gene high-throughput sequencing data.We further quantitatively assess the relative contributions of microbial species from mainstem,its tributaries,and the surrounding riverbank soils to the area immediately upstream of the Three Gorges Dam(TGD).We found an increase of microbial diversity and the convergent microbial distribution pattern in areas immediately upstream of TGD,suggesting this area become a new confluence for microbial diversity immigrating from upstream.Indeed,the number of shared species increased from upstream to TGD but unique species decreased,indicating immigration of various sources of microbial species overwhelms local environmental conditions in structuring microbial community close to TGD.By quantifying the sources of microbial species close to TGD,we found little contribution from soils as compared to tributaries,especially for sites closer to TGD,suggesting tributary microbes have greater influence on microbial diversity and environmental health in the Three Gorges Reservoir.Collectively,our results suggest that tracking microbial geographic origin and evaluating accumulating effects of microbial diversity shed light on the ecological processes in microbial communities and provide information for regulating aquatic ecological health. | Shang Wang Weiguo Hou Hongchen Jiang Liuqin Huang Hailiang Dong Shu Chen Bin Wang Yongcan Chen Binliang Lin Ye Deng | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,3: | 7 |
| 3 | Transition from wavelets to ripples in a laboratory flume with a diverging channel显示文摘An experimental investigation on the initiation and development of bed forms on a bed of fine silica sand was conducted under alluvial flow conditions in a laboratory flume with a diverging channel. The main aims of the study were to assess: i) the steepness of bed forms in the transition stage of development; and ii) the threshold height of wavelets (ηt) that triggered the start of ripple development. Detailed bed profile measurements were carried out using an acoustic Doppler probe, traversed longitudinally over the sediment bed at various experimentation times. The bed form dimensions were extracted from such bed profile records and analysed for the wavelet, transition and equilibrium stages. It was found that the steepness of ripples in the transition and equilibrium stages were similar, confirming predictions of previous mathematical model simulations. A lognormal distribution fitted the wavelet length data. The wavelet threshold height was estimated as ηt≈ 7 mm, or y+ ≈ 80 in wall units. Such a height magnitude suggested that ripple development could be triggered by the wavelets reaching the outer flow zone of a turbulent boundary layer. The ηt value obtained corresponded generally to the intersection point between two predictive equations for bed form dimensions. | 4 | Processes of dike-break induced flows:A combined experimental and numerical model study显示文摘Dike breaking is a disaster that could cause extensive damage. It could lead to flood flows outside the dike and induce water level fluctuations in the main channel. Numerical models are increasingly used to simulate flood flows due to dike-break, because direct observations from field surveys and physical models are rather limited. Existing knowledge concerning dam-break flows cannot be applied directly to dike-break flows because the effect of channel discharge cannot be neglected in the latter. In this study,physical experiments are done in a large laboratory flume to simulate the process of dike-break induced flood wave propagation in the floodplain and flow fluctuations in the main channel. The variations of water levels and velocities are measured and recorded using an array of pressure sensors and two acoustic Doppler velocimetry devices. A numerical model has been set up according to the experimental layout. The experiments have high repeatability and the numerical model predictions agree closely with the physical model data. | 5 | Bed-load transport rate based on the entrainment probabilities of sediment grains by rolling and lifting显示文摘A function for the bed-load sediment transport rate is derived. This function is obtained by using the entrainment probabilities of the rolling and lifted sediment grains, and by introducing two travel lengths,respectively. The predictions from the new bed-load function agree well with experimental results over the entire experimental range and show significant improvement over the commonly used formula for the bed-load transport rate. The new function shows that, in terms of contributing to the bed-load transport rate, the total entrainment probability of the sediment grains is a weighted summation of those for the lifted and rolling grains, rather than a simple addition of the two. The function is also used to predict the total entrainment probability, saltation length, and the bed layer thickness at a high bed-load transport rate. These predictions all agree well with the experimental results.
