1Effect of spinal manipulation on degenerative scoliosis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of spinal manipulation(SM)on degenerative scoliosis by evaluating patients’visual analog scale(VAS)scores,Cobb angles,sagittal vertical axis(SVA),and apical vertebral rotation(AVR)and to explore factors that influence treatment effect.METHODS:A total of 55 patients with degenerative scoliosis received 4 weeks of SM.After treatment,patients were divided into two groups:the remission group(VAS score<40 mm)and the non-remission group(VAS score≥40 mm).Pre-versus post-treatment VAS scores,Cobb angles,SVA,and AVR were compared in each group and in the total population.Baseline data(sex,age,symptom characteristics,duration of symptoms,VAS score,Cobb angle,SVA,and AVR)were compared between groups.Factors influencing the post-treatment VAS score were explored with multiple linear regression analysis.RESULTS:No changes were found in the Cobb angle(P=0.722)or AVR(P=0.424)after intervention in the overall population.However,the SVA(P<0.001)and VAS score(P=0.000)changed significantly after treatment.Similar changes were observed in the remission group(n=29).Multiple linear regression revealed that the only factors influencing treatment effect were symptom characteristics,SVA,and VAS score.CONCLUSION:SM relieved pain and improved sagittal imbalance in patients with degenerative scoliosis.It did not lessen the severity of coronal curvature or vertebral rotation.Factors influencing the effect of SM included symptom characteristics,VAS score,and SVA.A larger randomized trial is needed to further confirm our results.Sun Wu Gao Jinghua Zhu Liguo Wang Baojian Xiao Wei Wang Zhenzhong Yang Kexin 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6:8
2Surgical Management of Retinal Detachment Resulting from Macular Hole in a Setting of High Myopia显示文摘Purpose:To evaluate the anatomical and visual outcomes of pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) with internal limiting membrane (ILM).peeling and use of retinal tamponade for retinal detachments resulting from macular hole (MHRD) in highly myopic eyes. Methods:.Twenty-nine highly myopic patients.(29 eyes) underwent PPV with ILM peeling and retinal tamponade for MHRD were enrolled. Demographics and best-corrected visual acuity.(BCVA).were measured preoperatively and at final follow-up. Anatomical success and macular hole closure were analyzed. Results:.Patients' mean age of patients was 58.7±10.6 years, mean follow-up was 11.7±7.4 months. Twenty three eyes (23/26,88.5%)undergoing primary PPV combined with ILM peeling had successful initial retinal reattachment, including 19 eyes (19/19, 100%) with silicone oil tamponade and in 4 eyes (4/7,57.1%).with sulfur hexafluoride.(C3F8).tamponade. Overall anatomical success was achieved in 27 eyes (27/29, 93.1%)..The macular hole closure was observed in 17 eyes (17/26, 65.4%) with final anatomical success. Compared to preoperative BCVA,.the mean postoperative BCVA in the eyes with anatomical success was significantly improved (P = 0.007, Wilcoxon signed rank test). 4Catalytic oxidation of CO on mesoporous codoped ceria catalysts:Insights into correlation of physicochemical property and catalytic activity显示文摘Codoping approach is an appealing strategy to further improve the catalytic activity of Ce-based catalysts.In the present study,Mn and/or Cu doped ceria solid solutions MnxCuyCe1-x-yO2,CuxCe1-xO2,MnxCe1-xO2 and pure CeO2 were prepared by CTAB-assisted hydrothermal method for CO oxidation.XRD,SEM,EDS,BET,Raman,H2-TPR,XPS and in situ DRIFTS techniques were carried out to study the physicochemical properties and to correlate them to the activity.The doped samples maintain the cubic fluorite structure of CeO2 with high crystallinity and small crystallite size,forming Ce-based solid solutions.The obtained catalysts have large mesoporous structure with average pore size of 10-14 nm.The doped transition metal enhances the oxygen vacancies and improves reducibility of the solids.The synergistic interaction of Mn and Cu codoping induces mo re oxygen vacancies,pro moting the increase of surface adsorbed oxygen and the transfer of bulk oxygen of catalyst,thereby enhancing the catalytic activity for CO oxidation.Besides,the decomposition rate of the carbonate species which is derived from in situ DRIFTS for each catalyst can provide a measure to evaluate its catalytic activity of CO oxidation.Hongjian Zhu Yingying Chen Yibo Gao Wenxu Liu Zhongpeng Wang Chenchen Cui Wei Liu Liguo Wang 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,9:5
5Component fractionation of temporal evolution in adsorption-desorption for binary gas mixtures on coals from Haishiwan Coal Mine显示文摘Adsorption-desorption experiments on CO2-CH4 gas mixtures with varying compositions have been conducted to study the fractionation characteristics of CO2-CH4 on Haishiwan coal samples. These were carried out at constant temperature but different equilibrium pressure conditions. Based on these experimental results, the temporal evolution of component fractionation in the field was investigated. The results show that the CO2 concentration in the adsorbed phase is always greater than that in the original gas mixture during the desorption process, while CH4 shows the opposite characteristics. This has confirmed that CO2 , with a greater adsorption ability has a predominant position in the competition with CH4 under different pressures. 6Experimental Investigation on the Development Process of Large-Scale Low-Speed Stall Disturbance in Contra-Rotating Compressor显示文摘In order to better understand the stall process of a contra-rotating compressor,the detailed characteristic and multi-channel unsteady pressure signals have been achieved by a special layout of high-frequency response pressure sensors.The array consists of thirty-one high-frequency response dynamic sensors coupled with two optical fiber sensors that were installed on the compressor casing in the direction of circumferential and chordwise of the upstream and downstream of the contra-rotating rotors.A significant hysteresis loop during the stall-recovery process of the contra-rotating compressor was captured successfully.The time series of unsteady signals when the compressor was working on the point of stall occurrence,the period of fully stall,and recovery stall were studied and discussed.Results show a large scale,and low-speed disturbance occurred abruptly at the leading-edge plane of the rear rotor and expands until it passes through both rotors.The single stall cell occupied a circumferential range of 135° and moved in the direction of the rear rotor with an 8.3%shaft speed.As the mass flow rate dropped,the stall cell speed decreases.During the stall recovery process,the rotational speed of disturbance suddenly increased from 7.5%to 18%and even increased to 47%just before the moment when flow recovered axisymmetric.Compared with the rear rotor,the front one dropped out unstable conditions earlier.YUE Shaoyuan WANG Yan'gang WEI Liguo WANG Hao 2020Journal of Thermal Science2020,29,5:4

8Effects of Mg-based Alkaline Peroxide Bleaching on Physical Properties of Poplar Bleached Chemi-thermomechanical Pulp and Its Influence Mechanism显示文摘In this study,Mg O was partially used as an alkali source in the peroxide bleaching process of bleached chemi-thermomechanical pulp(BCTMP).The effects of substitution percentage of Mg O for Na OH on the bulk,optical,and physical properties of bleached pulp,and the main effluent characteristics were analyzed.In addition,the influencing mechanism of Mgbased alkali on the strength properties of the BCTMP was further investigated.Strength properties of the BCTMPs were investigated as a function of charge characteristics,fiber morphology,surface lignin content,relative bonding area,and hydrogen bonds of the BCTMP.The results showed that cationic demand(CD) and chemical oxygen demand(COD_(Cr)) of the bleaching effluent decreased as the substitution percentage of Mg O for Na OH increased; meanwhile,the bulk and optical properties of the BCTMP increased.Nevertheless,the strength properties(tensile,tear,and burst indices) of the bleached pulp decreased as the substitution percentage of Mg O for Na OH increased.The decrease in the fiber charge density and increase in the surface lignin content affected the fiber swelling,resulting in a decline in pulp interfibers bonding strength and further loss of the tensile and burst indices.Wei Liu Song Han LiGuo Zhang QingXi Hou 2018Paper And Biomaterials2018,3,3:2
9Random seismic noise attenuation by learning-type overcomplete dictionary based on K-singular value decomposition algorithm显示文摘The transformation of basic functions is one of the most commonly used techniques for seismic denoising,which employs sparse representation of seismic data in the transform domain. The choice of transform base functions has an influence on denoising results. We propose a learning-type overcomplete dictionary based on the K-singular value decomposition( K-SVD) algorithm. To construct the dictionary and use it for random seismic noise attenuation,we replace fixed transform base functions with an overcomplete redundancy function library. Owing to the adaptability to data characteristics,the learning-type dictionary describes essential data characteristics much better than conventional denoising methods. The sparsest representation of signals is obtained by the learning and training of seismic data. By comparing the same seismic data obtained using the learning-type overcomplete dictionary based on K-SVD and the data obtained using other denoising methods,we find that the learning-type overcomplete dictionary based on the K-SVD algorithm represents the seismic data more sparsely,effectively suppressing the random noise and improving the signal-to-noise ratio.XU Dexin HAN Liguo LIU Dongyu WEI Yajie 2016Global Geology2016,19,1:2
10HIV-1 can infect northern pig-tailed macaques(Macaca leonina) and form viral reservoirs in vivo显示文摘Viral reservoirs of HIV-1 are a major obstacle for curing AIDS. The novel animal models that can be directly infected with HIV-1 will contribute to develop effective strategies for eradicating infections.Here, we inoculated 4 northern pig-tailed macaques(NPM) with the HIV-1 strain HIV-1_(NL4.3) and monitored the infection for approximately 3 years(150 weeks). The HIV-1-infected NPMs showed transient viremia for about 10 weeks after infection. However, cell-associated proviral DNA and viral RNA persisted in the peripheral blood and lymphoid organs for about 3 years. Moreover, replication-competent HIV-1could be successfully recovered from peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) during long-term infection. The numbers of resting CD4^+T cells in HIV-1 infected NPMs harboring proviruses fell within a range of 2-to 3-log_(10) per million cells, and these proviruses could be reactivated both ex vivo and in vivo in response to co-stimulation with the latency-reversing agents JQ1 and prostratin. 14Enhancing THz fingerprint detection on the planar surface of an inverted dielectric metagrating显示文摘Terahertz(THz)molecular fingerprint sensing provides a powerful label-free tool for the detection of traceamount samples.Due to the weak light–matter interaction,various metallic or dielectric metasurfaces have been adopted to enhance fingerprint absorbance signals.However,they suffer from strong background damping or complicated sample coating on patterned surfaces.Here,we propose an inverted dielectric metagrating and enhance the broadband THz fingerprint detection of trace analytes on a planar sensing surface.Enhancement of the broadband signal originates from the effects of evanescent waves at the planar interface,which are excited by multiplexed quasi-bound states in the continuum(quasi-BICs).One can evenly boost the near-field intensities within the analytes by tuning the asymmetry parameter of quasi-BIC modes.The multiplexing mechanism of broadband detection is demonstrated by manipulating the incident angle of excitation waves and thickness of the waveguide layer.Compared to the conventional approach,the THz fingerprint peak value is dramatically elevated,and the largest peak enhancement time is 330.Our work gives a promising way to facilitate the metasensing of the THz fingerprint on a planar surface and will inspire universal THz spectral analysis for trace analytes with different physical states or morphologies.XUEYING LIU WEI CHEN YONGJIE MA YINONG XIE JUN ZHOU LIGUO ZHU YADONG XU JINFENG ZHU 2022Photonics Research2022,10,12:1

17Estimating the time interval between transmission generations and the presymptomatic period by contact tracing surveillance data from 31 provinces in the mainland of China显示文摘The global pandemic of 2019 coronavirus disease(COVID-19)is a great assault to public health.Presymptomatic transmission cannot be controlled with measures designed for symptomatic persons,such as isolation.This study aimed to estimate the interval of the transmission generation(TG)and the presymptomatic period of COVID-19,and compare the ftting effects of TG and serial interval(S)based on the SEIHR model incorporating the surveillance data of 3453 cases in 31 provinces.These data were allocated into three distributions and the value of AIC presented that the Weibull distribution fitted well.The mean of TG was 5.2 days(95%C:4.6-5.8).The mean of the presymptomatic period was 2.4 days(95%CI:1.5-3.2).The dynamic model using TG as the generation time performed well.Eight provinces exhibited a basic reproduction number from 2.16 to 3.14.Measures should be taken to control presymptomatic transmission in the COVID-19 pandemic.Zhongxing Ding Kai Wang Mingwang Shen Kai Wang Shi Zhao Wenyu Song Rui Li Zhongjie Li Liping Wang Ganzhu Feng Zhiliang Hu Hongxia Wei Yanni Xiao Changjun Bao Jianli Hu Liguo Zhu Yong Li Xufeng Chen Yi Yin Weiming Wang Yongli Cai Zhihang Peng Hongbing Shen 2021Fundamental Research2021,1,2:1
18Application of suppressing random noise in seismic data based on Trivashrink and DTCWT显示文摘In process of seismic exploration,the noise of seismic signals produces serious interference. Conventional methods of wavelet threshold denoising cannot fully use the characteristics of seismic signals due to its limitations. There is always a certain degree of deviation between estimated value and actual value. In this study,a method of seismic data denoising is proposed,the authors use the current coefficients,the parent coefficients and the neighborhood coefficients based on dual-tree complex wavelet transform( DTCWT) and related sub-band denoising model( TrivaS hrink) to achieve the optimal estimation of shrinking factor and get the noise reduction of seismic records. 20Seismic performance of two-story subway station structures with different isolating systems显示文摘When the sliding bearing is fixed only at the top of the middle column of the underground structure,the cracks at the side end of the middle plate should be aggravated while the seismic damage of the mid-column should be alleviated.To enhance the seismic performance of the mid-plate,a new isolation design method has been mentioned while the elastic sliding bearings are set at the top of the mid-columns and between the side end of the mid-plate and the side wall at the same time.By establishing a nonlinear finite element analysis model for the static-dynamic coupling interaction system,the seismic response characteristics of the cast-in-place station structure without a sliding bearing have been analyzed and compared with those of the station structure with the sliding bearing fixed only at the top of the middle columns,and those of the station structure with sliding bearing be fixed between the mid-plate and the sidewall at the same time.The results show that the new isolation station structures suffer fewer earthquake damages at the mid-plate and mid-columns at the same time,which can improve the overall seismic performance of the subway station structure.Haiyang Zhuang Wei Wang Liguo Jin Sheng Li Guoxing Chen 2022Earthquake Research Advances2022,2,4:0
