| 1 | Nab-paclitaxel(abraxane)-based chemotherapy to treat elderly patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer:a single center,randomized and open-label clinical trial显示文摘Background:The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of abraxane-based chemotherapy with/without nedaplatin in elderly patients with non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Materials and methods:From October 2009 to January 2013,48 elderly patients(>65 years) with NSCLC were investigated in this clinical trial.The patients were randomized and equally allocated into arms A and AP:(A) abraxane(130 mg/m^2,days 1,8);(B) abraxane + nedaplatin(20 mg/m^2 days 1-3,q3w).The parameters of objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),progression-free survival(PFS),overall survival(OS) and side effects were evaluated between two arms.Results:Over 80%of the patients completed four cycles of chemotherapy.The total ORR was 21.3%,DCR was 55.3%,PFS 4.5 months and OS 12.6 months.No significant difference was found between arms A and AP in terms of ORR(16.7%vs.26.1%,P=0.665) or DCR(55.3%vs.56.5%,P=0.871).The median PFS in arm A was 3.3 months[25-75%confidence interval(CI):3.1-7.2]and 5.5 months(25-75%CI:3.2-7.0) in arm AP with no statistical significance(P=0.640).The median OS in arm A was 12.6 months(25-75%CI:5.7-26.2) and 15.1 months(25-75%CI:6.4-35.3) in arm AP with no statistical significance(P=0.770).The side effects were mainly grade 1-2.The incidence of grade 3-4 toxicities was 29.1%in arm A and 62.5%in arm AP with a statistical significance(P=0.020).Conclusions:Compared with combined therapy,abraxane alone chemotherapy was beneficial for elderly NSCLC patients with better tolerability and less adverse events,whereas did not significantly differ in terms of ORR,DCR,PFS or OS. | Hanrui Chen Xuewu Huang Shutang Wang Xinting Zheng Jietao Lin Peng Li Lizhu Lin | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,2: | 12 |
| 2 | PagGRF12a interacts with PagGIF1b to regulate secondary xylem development through modulating PagXND1a expression in Populus alba×P.glandulosa显示文摘Growth-regulating factors(GRFs)are important regulators of plant development and growth,but their possible roles in xylem development in woody plants remain unclear.Here,we report that Populus alba×Papulus glandulosa PagGRF12a negatively regulates xylem development in poplar.PagGRF12a is expressed in vascular tissues.Compared to non-transgenic control plants,transgenic poplar plants overexpressing PagGRF12a exhibited reduced xylem width and plants with repressed expression of PagGRF12a exhibited increased xylem width.Xylem NAC domain 1(XND1)encodes a NAC domain transcription factor that regulates xylem development and transcriptional analyses revealed that PagXND1a is highly upregulated in PagGRF12a-overexpressing plants and downregulated in PagGRF12a-suppressed plants,indicating that PagGRF12a may regulate xylem development through PagXND1a.Transient transcriptional assays and chromatin immunoprecipitation-polymerase chain reaction assays confirmed that PagGRF12a directly upregulates PagXND1a.In addition,PagGRF12a interacts with the GRF-Interacting Factor(GIF)PagGIF1b,and this interaction enhances the effects of PagGRF12a on PagXND1a.Our results indicate that PagGRF12a inhibits xylem development by upregulating the expression of PagXND1a. | Jinnan Wang Houjun Zhou Yanqiu Zhao Cheng Jiang Jihong Li Fang Tang Yingli Liu Shutang Zhao Jianjun Hu Xueqin Song MengZhu Lu | 2021 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,10: | 3 |

| 17 | Surface protection method for the magnetic core using covalent organic framework shells and its application in As(Ⅲ)depth removal from acid wastewater显示文摘Fe_(3)O_(4)-based materials are widely used for magnetic separation from wastewater.However,they often suffer from Fe-leaching behavior under acidic conditions,decreasing their ac-tivity and limiting sustainable practical applications.In this study,covalent organic frame-works(COFs)were used as the shell to protect the Fe_(3)O_(4) core,and the Fe_(3)O_(4)@COF core-shell composites were synthesized for As(Ⅲ)removal from acid wastewater.The imine-linked COFs can in situ grow on the surface of the Fe_(3)O_(4) core layer by layer with[COFs/Fe_(3)O_(4)]mol ratio of up to 2∶1.The Fe-leaching behavior was weakened over a wide pH range of 1-13.Moreover,such composites keep their magnetic characteristic,making them favorable for nanomaterial separation.As(Ⅲ)batch adsorption experiments results indicated that,when COFs are used as the shell for the Fe_(3)O_(4) core,a balance between As(Ⅲ)removal efficiencies and the thickness of the COF shell exists.Higher As(Ⅲ)removal efficiencies are obtained when the[COFs/Fe_(3)O_(4)]mol ratios were<1.5∶1,but thicker COF shells were not beneficial for As(Ⅲ)removal.Such composites also exhibited better As(Ⅲ)removal performances in the pH range of 1-7.Over a wide pH range,the zeta potential of Fe_(3)O_(4)@COF core-shell compos-ites becomes more positive,which benefits the capture of negative arsenic ions.In addition,thinner surface COFs were favorable for mass transfer and facilitating the reaction of Fe and As elements.Our study highlights the promise of using COFs in nanomaterial surface protection and achieving As(Ⅲ)depth removal under acidic conditions. | Wenjun Huang Haomiao Xu Xiaoshuang Liu Longlong Wang Shutang Li Leipeng Ji Zan Qu Naiqiang Yan | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5: | 0 |
