| 1 | Preparation of Spherical FePO4 by Chemical Co-precipitation Combined with Spray-Drying显示文摘Well-shaped spherical agglomerates of FePO4 particles were prepared by a novel method:chemical co-precipitation combined with spray-drying.Tap density analysis,Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis,characterizations of X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and transmission electron microscopy confirmed that the micron-sized spherical agglomerates with high specific surface area and high tap density were composed of the uniform nano-sized particles.The effects of pH and reaction time on the morphology of the FePO4 particles were investigated by experimental and theoretical analyses.The analyses revealed that amorphous FePO4 was responsible for forming a well-shaped spherical agglomerate,and the ideal spherical particles were obtained at pH 3.The reaction time also played a significant role in controlling the size and surface morphology of the FePO4 particles,and smooth spherical FePO4 particles were obtained at a reaction time of 6 h.By this novel method,poly-porous spherical iron phosphate particles were prepared,which can be used with high efficiency in some special fields,especially as a precursor for synthesizing LiFePO4 and catalysts. | Leping Dang Hongtao Zhang Xin Xu Xiaojun Lang | 2020 | Transactions of Tianjin University2020,26,1: | 3 |
| 2 | Paraffin/SiC as a Novel Composite Phase-Change Material for a Lithium-Ion Battery Thermal Management System显示文摘A lithium-ion battery thermal management system has always been a hot spot in the battery industry. In this study, a novel high-thermal-conductivity composite phase-change material(CPCM) made by paraffin wax and silicon was adopted to facilitate heat transfer. Moreover, high resistance or even insulation of CPCM is capable of preventing short circuits between the cells. The heat transfer mechanism of CPCMs was determined under a scanning electron microscope. A thermogravimetric analyzer was employed to determine the thermal stability. A diff erential scanning calorimeter was used to explore the thermophysical properties of the composite samples. By comparing the results of the experiment, it was reported that under the silicon carbide content of 5%, the parameters were better than others. The phase-change enthalpy of CPCM was 199.4 J/g, the leakage rate of liquid was 4.6%, and the melting point was 53.6℃. To verify the practicality of CPCM, a three-dimensional layered battery pack model was built in the COMSOL Multiphysics software. By simulating the thermal runaway inside the battery packs of various materials, it was reported that the addition of CPCM significantly narrowed the temperature range of the battery pack from 300–370 to 303–304 K. Therefore, CPCM can eff ectively increase the rate of heat transfer to prevent the chain of thermal runaway reactions. | 3 | Effects of Formulation Parameters and Process Variables on the Properties of Granules Obtained by Reactive Granulation显示文摘In this work, granulation between dodecyl-benzenesulfonic acid and sodium carbonate was investigated in a laboratory-scale high shear mixer. The effects offormulation parameters and process variables, including primary carbonate size, binder content, impeller speed, and operating temperature, were correlated to the properties ofthe product granules. Design ofexperiment and analysis ofvariance were combined to analyze the experimentaldata, and results showed that larger granule sizes with fewer fine particles can be obtained by employing higher binder contents and larger sodium carbonate sizes. The shear force ofthe impeller can extensively break oversized granules. The binder content exerted a contrasting effect on the flowability ofgranules formed with two kinds ofsodium carbonate, likely because ofdifferences in the liquid saturation ofthe solids. The dissolution rate determined by in-line size analysis showed that high binder contents were beneficialto dissolution performance, and the relationships between Hunter color and tested parameters were evaluated. | 6 | Effect of Non-reactive Powder Particle Properties on Dry Agglomeration in a High Shear Mixer显示文摘The effect of non-reactive powder particle properties on the detergent dry agglomeration process in a high shear mixer was investigated. Three types of micron-scale silica were chosen as the non-reactive fine powders and a semi-solid alkyl ethyl ethoxy sulfate(AES) paste with ultra-high viscosity was chosen as the binder. The granules were characterized using massbased granule size distribution, scanning electron microcopy, and bulk density tests. The results revealed that powder particle size plays a leading role in agglomeration behavior. A decrease in the median particle size results in enhanced dispersion of silica particles in the AES paste binder droplets, which leads to the formation of uniform granules that are slightly affected by compacting forces. Based on the map, the effects of selected key parameters, such as ingredient composition, operation temperature, agitation speed, and size of Na_2CO_3 particles, were investigated using a laboratory-scale mixer, and properties of the agglomeration product were analyzed, including particle size distribution, Hunter color, and flowability. Torque curves evolving during the process were correlated with the system flowability. Three distinguishable regimes were indicated, dry, wet, and transitional, and the agitation speed was found to have a different influence on the agglomeration process for the three regimes. | 17 | Visualization of Wormlike Micelle Fluid Flow in a Mixing Tank显示文摘In this study,particle image velocimetry was applied to investigate flow fields of wormlike micelle(WLM) fluids in a mixing tank equipped with a four-blade,down-pumping,pitched blade turbine. First,the rheology of WLM fluids was investigated,and the Carreau model was utilized to describe their apparent viscosity. Then,the effects of the rotation speeds and rheological properties on the flow fields were studied using different WLM fluids at different rotation speeds. The results revealed that with increasing Reynolds number,the discharge angle decreases and the carven size increases. | 18 | Black Phosphorus/Nanocarbons Constructing a Dual-Carbon Conductive Network for High-Performance Sodium-Ion Batteries显示文摘Black phosphorus has been recognized as a prospective candidate anode material for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)due to its ultrahigh theoretical capacity of 2596 mA·h/g and high electric conductivity of≈300 S/m.However,its large volume expansion and contraction during sodiation/desodiation lead to poor cycling stability.In this work,a BP/graphite nanoparticle/nitrogen-doped multiwalled carbon nanotubes(BP/G/CNTs)composite with a dual-carbon conductive network is successfully fabricated as a promising anode material for SIBs through a simple two-step mechanical milling process.The unique structure can mitigate the eff ect of volume changes and provide additional electron conduction pathways during cycles.Furthermore,the formation of P–O–C bonds helps maintain the intimate connection between phosphorus and carbon,thereby improving the cycling and rate performance.As a result,the BP/G/CNTs composite delivers a high initial Coulombic efficiency(89.6%)and a high specific capacity for SIBs(1791.3 mA·h/g after 100 cycles at 519.2 mA/g and 1665.2 mA·h/g after 100 cycles at 1298 mA/g).Based on these results,the integrated strategy of one-and two-dimensional carbon materials can guide other anode materials for SIBs. | Leping Dang Jiawei He Hongyuan Wei | 2022 | Transactions of Tianjin University2022,28,2: | 0 |
