| 1 | Metal Sealing Performance of Subsea X-tree Wellhead Connector Sealer显示文摘The metal sealing performance of subsea X-tree wellhead connectors is crucial for the safety and reliability of subsea X-trees. In order to establish the theoretical relation between metal sealing ring's contact stress and its structural parameters and working pressure, a mechanical analysis method for double-cone sealing of high pressure vessels is applied in analyzing the metal sealing ring under the condition of preload and operation. As a result, the formula of the unit sealing load for the metal sealing ring under operation with residual preload is shown in this paper, which ensures that the metal sealing ring has an excellent sealing effect and can prevent the metal sealing ring from yielding. Besides, while analyzing the sealing process of the metal sealing ring, the change rule of contact stress and working pressure is concluded here, putting forward that the structural parameters of the metal sealing ring are the major factors affecting the change rule. Finally, the analytical solution through theoretical analysis is compared with the simulation result through finite element analysis in a force feedback experiment, and both are consistent with each other, which fully verifies for the design and calculation theory on metal sealing ring's contact stress and its structural parameters and working pressure deduced in this paper. | 2 | A Human Body Posture Recognition Algorithm Based on BP Neural Network for Wireless Body Area Networks显示文摘Human body posture recognition has attracted considerable attention in recent years in wireless body area networks(WBAN). In order to precisely recognize human body posture,many recognition algorithms have been proposed.However, the recognition rate is relatively low. In this paper, we apply back propagation(BP) neural network as a classifier to recognizing human body posture, where signals are collected from VG350 acceleration sensor and a posture signal collection system based on WBAN is designed. Human body signal vector magnitude(SVM) and tri-axial acceleration sensor data are used to describe the human body postures. We are able to recognize 4postures: Walk, Run, Squat and Sit. Our posture recognition rate is up to 91.67%. Furthermore, we find an implied relationship between hidden layer neurons and the posture recognition rate. | 3 | Expression of cyclooxygenase-2 and its pathogenic effects in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease显示文摘Objective:To investigate the expression of cyclooxygenase-2 and its pathological effect in the experimental nonalcoholic fatty liver of rats,and to explore its possible mechanism.Methods:The rat NAFLD model was established by giving a fat-enriched diet.The blood samples were obtained form abdominal aorta and the levels of serum ALT,AST and IL-1,changes in the hepatic tissue 6-k-PGF1α TXB2 were measured.The expression level of COX-2 in rats livers were assayed by immunohistochemistry,RT-PCR and Western-blot.Results:Light microscope analysis revealed that hepatocytes were injured in the model group and slightly in the treatment group.The levels of serum TXB2 and IL-1 in the fatty liver rats were increased.Compared with the model group,the IL-1 and TXB2 increased significantly(P < 0.05),on the contrary,compared with the normal group,the hepatic tissue 6-Keto-prostagland decreased significantly in the model group(P < 0.05),the treatment group also increased but P > 0.05.There was no positive expression of COX-2 in hepatic tissue of normal rats.In the model group,there was positive expression of COX-2 antigen and the number of COX positive cells progressively increased at 4,8,12 wks.The intensity of expression of COX-2 had significantly increased(P < 0.05)and the intensity of COX-2 expression in the treated group decreased remarkably compared with the model group(P < 0.05).The expression of COX-2 mRNA and the level of COX-2 protein were significantly stronger in the liver of model rats compared with normal rats,and significantly weaker in treated rats,than in 8W and 12W model rats(P < 0.05).Conclusion:The increase of COX-2 expression in NAFLD is closely associated with the severity of liver inflammation and damage.COX-2 may play an important role in the progression of rat NAFLD,and the expression of COX-2 mRNA is downregulated by cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor,which can depress the oxidative stress and control inflammatory response efficiently. | Mingbo Cao Lei Dong Xiaolan Lu Jinyan Luo | 2008 | Journal of Nanjing Medical University2008,22,2: | 7 |
| 4 | Autumn Photoproduction of Carbon Monoxide in Jiaozhou Bay, China显示文摘Carbon monoxide(CO) plays a significant role in global warming and atmospheric chemistry. Global oceans are net natural sources of atmospheric CO. CO at surface ocean is primarily produced from the photochemical degradation of chromophoric dissolved organic matter(CDOM). In this study, the effects of photobleaching, temperature and the origin(terrestrial or marine) of CDOM on the apparent quantum yields(AQY) of CO were studied for seawater samples collected from Jiaozhou Bay. Our results demonstrat that photobleaching, temperature and the origin of CDOM strongly affected the efficiency of CO photoproduction. The concentration, absorbance and fluorescence of CDOM exponentially decreased with increasing light dose. Terrestrial riverine organic matter could be more prone to photodegradation than the marine algae-derived one. The relationships between CO AQY and the dissolved organic carbon-specific absorption coefficient at 254 nm for the photobleaching study were nonlinear, whereas those of the original samples were strongly linear. This suggests that: 1) terrestrial riverine CDOM was more efficient than marine algae-derived CDOM for CO photoproduction; 2) aromatic and olefinic moieties of the CDOM pool were affected more strongly by degradation processes than by aliphatic ones. Water temperature and the origin of CDOM strongly affected the efficiency of CO photoproduction. The photoproduction rate of CO in autumn was estimated to be 31.98 μmol m-2 d-1 and the total DOC photomineralization was equivalent to 3.25%- 6.35% of primary production in Jiaozhou Bay. | 5 | A new approach for the aerobic oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid without using transition metal catalysts显示文摘The organic compound 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA) has been identified by the US Department of Energy(DOE) as a valuable platform chemical for a wide range of industrial applications. Currently, the most popular route for FDCA synthesis is reported to be the oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF)by O_2 over the catalysis of noble metals(e.g., Au, Pt, Ru, and Pd). However, the high costs of noble metal catalysts remain a major barrier for producing FDCA at an industrial scale. Herein, we report a transition metal-free synthesis strategy for the oxidation of HMF to FDCA under O_2 or ambient air. A simple but unprecedented process for the aerobic oxidation of HMF was carried out in organic solvents using only bases as the promoters. According to the high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) analysis, excellent product yield(91%) was obtained in the presence of NaOH in dimethylformamide(DMF) at room temperature(25 ℃). A plausible mechanism for the NaOH-promoted aerobic oxidation of HMF in DMF is also outlined in this paper. After the reaction, the sodium salt of FDCA particles were dispersed in the reaction mixture, making it possible for product separation and solvent reuse. | 7 | Auxin response factor 6A regulates photosynthesis,sugar accumulation,and fruit development in tomato显示文摘Auxin response factors(ARFs)are involved in auxin-mediated transcriptional regulation in plants.In this study,we performed functional characterization of SlARF6A in tomato.SlARF6A is located in the nucleus and exhibits transcriptional activator activity.Overexpression of SlARF6A increased chlorophyll contents in the fruits and leaves of tomato plants,whereas downregulation of SlARF6A decreased chlorophyll contents compared with those of wild-type(WT)plants.Analysis of chloroplasts using transmission electron microscopy indicated increased sizes of chloroplasts in SlARF6A-overexpressing plants and decreased numbers of chloroplasts in SlARF6A-downregulated plants.Overexpression of SlARF6A increased the photosynthesis rate and accumulation of starch and soluble sugars,whereas knockdown of SlARF6A resulted in opposite phenotypes in tomato leaves and fruits.RNA-sequence analysis showed that regulation of SlARF6A expression altered the expression of genes involved in chlorophyll metabolism,photosynthesis and sugar metabolism.SlARF6A directly bound to the promoters of SlGLK1,CAB,and RbcS genes and positively regulated the expression of these genes.Overexpression of SlARF6A also inhibited fruit ripening and ethylene production,whereas downregulation of SlARF6A increased fruit ripening and ethylene production.SlARF6A directly bound to the SAMS1 promoter and negatively regulated SAMS1 expression.Taken together,these results expand our understanding of ARFs with regard to photosynthesis,sugar accumulation and fruit development and provide a potential target for genetic engineering to improve fruit nutrition in horticulture crops. | Yujin Yuan Xin Xu Zehao Gong Yuwei Tang Mengbo Wu Fang Yan Xiaolan Zhang Qian Zhang Fengqing Yang Xiaowei Hu Qichen Yang Yingqing Luo Lihua Mei Wenfa Zhang Cai-Zhong Jiang Wangjin Lu Zhengguo Li Wei Deng | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 3 |
| 8 | Distributions and sea-to-air fluxes of volatile halocarbons in the southern Yellow Sea and the East China Sea显示文摘Distributions and sea-to-air fluxes of five kinds of volatile halocarbons(VHCs) were studied in the southern Yellow Sea(SYS) and the East China Sea(ECS) in November 2007. The results showed that the concentrations of 1,1,1-trichloroethane(C2H3Cl3), 1,1-dichloroethene(C2H2Cl2), 1,1,2-trichloroethene(C2HCl3), trichloromethane(CHCl3) and tetrachloromethane(CCl4) in the surface water were 0.31–4.81, 2.75–21.3, 1.21–17.1, 5.02–233 and 0.045–4.47 pmol/L, respectively, with the average values of 1.89, 12.20, 6.93, 60.90 and 0.33 pmol/L. On the whole, the horizontal distributions of C2H3Cl3, C2H2Cl2 and CCl4 were affected mainly by anthropogenic activities, while C2HCl3 and CHCl3 were influenced by biological factors as well as anthropogenic activities. In the study area, the concentrations of VHCs(except C2HCl3) exhibited a decreasing trend from inshore to offshore sites, with the higher values occurring in the coastal waters. The sea-to-air fluxes of C2H3Cl3, C2HCl3, CHCl3 and CCl4 were calculated to be-56.00–(-5.68),-7.31–123.42, 148.00–1 309.31 and-83.32–(-1.53) nmol/(m2·d), respectively, with the average values of-6.77, 17.14, 183.38 and-21.27 nmol/(m2·d). | 9 | Genetic dissection of husk number and length across multiple environments and fine-mapping of a major-effect QTL for husk number in maize(Zea mays L.)显示文摘Husk number(HN)and husk length(HL)influence the mechanical harvesting of maize grain.We investigated the genetic basis of HN and HL using a population of 204 recombinant inbred lines phenotypically evaluated in five environments.The two husk traits showed broad phenotypic variation and high heritability.Nine stable quantitative trait loci(QTL)were identified by single-environment mapping,comprising four QTL for HN and five for HL,and three QTL explained>10%of the phenotypic variation.Joint mapping revealed 22 additive QTL and 46 epistatic QTL.Both additive and epistatic(additive×additive)effects as well as a few large-effect QTL and some minor-effect QTL appeared to contribute to the genetic architecture of HN and HL.The QTL for HN located on chromosome 7,q HN7,which accounted for^20%of phenotypic variation,was detected in all five environments.q HN7 was fine-mapped to a 721.1 kb physical region based on the maize B73 Ref Gen_v3 genome assembly.Within this interval,four genes associated with plant growth and development were selected as candidate genes.The results will be useful for improvement of maize husk traits by molecular breeding and provide a basis for the cloning of q HN7. | Guangfei Zhou Yuxiang Mao Lin Xue Guoqing Chen Huhua Lu Mingliang Shi Zhenliang Zhang Xiaolan Huang Xudong Song Derong Hao | 2020 | The Crop Journal2020,8,6: | 2 |
| 10 | Endoscopic ablation of Barrett's esophagus using the second generation argon plasma coagulation:a prospective randomized controlled trail显示文摘Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of the second generation argon plasma coagulation(VIO APC) in the ablation of Barrett's Esophagus. Methods:A total of 35 patients with uncomplicated Barrett's esophagus entered into a prospective,randomized,unblinded study comparing the treatment VIO APC combined with a proton pump inhibiter with a proton pump inhibiter administered alone. VIO APC was performed at a power setting of 40W,and argon gas flow at 1.5-2.0 L/min,and 'forced' mode. Ablative treatment was repeated until either no Barrett's epithelium remained or a maximum of 5 treatment sessions occurred. Results:In the ablation group,macroscopic complete ablation was achieved in 14 of 18 patients,and complete ablation confirmed by histology in 12 of 18 patients (P < 0.01). Buried glands were observed in 2 patients who had achieved macroscopic ablation. The Barrett's mucosa averaged a reduction of 65%(range 50-75%) in the remaining 4 patients. In the control group,only 2 patients had partial regression,median 30%(range 20-40%). In the ablation group,post-treatment 4 patients had transient retrosternal pain,and 3 patients had mild epigastric discomfort. One patient had a small hemorrhage during the procedure,which ceased after norepinephrine and thrombosin were administered through the endoscope biopsy channel. No adverse events were observed in the control group. During 11.8(4-15) months follow-up,patients who had achieved the complete ablation have no evidence of relapse of Barrett's esophagus. Conclusion:VIO APC with a relatively low power setting can effectively ablate the Barrett's mucosa. No severe adverse events were observed. | 11 | Synthesis of a cationic poly(p-phenylenevinylene) derivative for Iysosome-specific and long-term imaging显示文摘The development of long-term imaging agents and subcellular imaging materials is of great importance in the research of cancer cell behaviors. In this work, a cationic poly(p-phenylenevinylene) derivative(PPV) is designed and synthesized to link quaternized N-methyl-imidazole groups as pendants which endow the polymer to bear positive charges. Absorption and fluorescence emission spectra of PPV display a large Stokes shift of 102 nm which is much larger than the commercial cell dyes. Positively charged polymer could adsorb onto the surface of cells via electrostatic interactions followed by cell endocytosis process to enter cells. Importantly, PPV barely has influence on the cell viability through cytotoxicity analysis. The colocalization data demonstrates that PPV and commercial lysosome-specific dye are highly colocalized in the same region, indicating that the green fluorescent PPV mainly distributes in the lysosomes. Moreover, the continuous imaging investigation shows that PPV could stay in cells for more than seven days while the commercial Lyso-Tracker would be extruded by cells after three days. | 20 | Controllable growth and flexible optoelectronic devices of regularly-assembled Bi2S3 semiconductor nanowire bifurcated junctions and crosslinked networks显示文摘Regularly assembled structures of nanowires, such as aligned arrays, junctions and interconnected networks, have great potential for the applications in logical circuits, address decoders, photoelectronic devices and transparent electrodes. However, for now it is still lack of effective approaches for constructing nanowire bifurcated junctions and crosslinked networks with ordered orientations and high quality. Herein, we report the controlled growth of Bi2S3 semiconductor nanowire bifurcated junctions and crosslinked networks with well-aligned directions and high crystalline degree by utilizing the proportional lattice match between nanowires and substrates. Taking advantages of the “tip-to-stem splice” assembly of individual nanowires, the precise orientation alignments of Bi2S3 semiconductor nanowire bifurcated junctions and crosslinked networks were successfully realized. The controlled growth mechanism and structural evolution process have been elucidated by detailed atomic structure characterizations and modeling. The highly crystal quality and direct energy bandgap of as-assembled photodetectors based on individual bismuth sulfide nanowires enabled high photoresponsivity and fast switch time under light illumination. The three-terminal devices based on nanowire bifurcated junctions present rapid carrier transport across the junction. The flexible photodetectors based on nanowire crosslinked networks show very minimal decay of photocurrent after long-term bending test.
