1Effect of acupuncture at Renying(ST 9) on gene expression profile of hypothalamus in spontaneously hypertensive rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate changes in gene expression profiles in the hypothalamus related to the effects of acupuncture at the Renying(ST 9) acupoint in spontaneously hypertensive(SH) rats.METHODS: We randomly divided 18 SH rats into Renying(ST 9) group and model control group, 9 body weight-matched Wistar-Kyoto rats were used as blank controls. Acupuncture was performed manually for 20-min daily over 28 d in the Renying(ST 9) group. Rat Gene 2.0 array technology was used for the determination of gene expression profiles and the screened key genes were verified by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) analyses.RESULTS: The different groups exhibited differential gene expression: compared with the blank control group, 48 genes were up-regulated and 91 genes were down-regulated in the model group;compared with the model group, 79 genes were up-regulated and 80 genes were down-regulated in Renying(ST 9) group. The RT-PCR results of the key genes including Chi3 l1, Ephx2, Klk1, 5-HT1 A and Cbs were consistent with that of gene chip analysis.CONCLUTION: Acupuncture at Renying(ST 9)could significantly lower the blood pressure of SH rats and affect their hypothalamic gene expression profile. 2Luminous composite ultrathin films of CdTe quantum dots/silk fibroin co-assembled with layered doubled hydroxide:Enhanced photoluminescence and biosensor application显示文摘Quantum dots(QDs)luminescent films are extensively applied to optoelectronics and optical devices.However,QDs aggregation results in the quenching of their fluorescence property which limits their practical applications to a greater extent.In order to resolve this issue,3-mercaptopropionic acid(3-MPA)functionalized Cadmium Tellurium(CdTe)QDs were stabilized by silk fibroin(SB)and coassembled with layered doubled hydroxide(LDH)to form(QDs@SF/LDH)_(n)ultrathin films(UTFs)via the layer-by-layer(LBL)technique.UV-Vis absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy showed a stepwise and normal growth of the films upon increasing the number of deposition cycles.XRD and AFM studies confirmed the formation of a periodic layered structure and regular surface morphology of the thin films.As compared to(CdTe QDs/LDH)_(n)UTFs,the(CdTe QDs@SF/LDH)_(n)UTFs displayed fluorescence enhancement and longer fluorescent lifetime,both in solid states and aqueous solutions.Furthermore compared with the solution state,the fluorescence enhancement of SF-RC and SF-β are,respectively,7 times and 17 times in the(CdTe QDs@SF/LDH)_(n)UTFs,indicating that the LDH nanosheets favor the fluorescence enhancement effect on the CdTe QDs@SF.The fabricated materials displayed fluorescence response to a biological molecule such as immune globulin,lgG.Thus,the(CdTe QDs@SF/LDH)_(n)UTFs has a potential to be used as biosensor.Muhammad Sohail Haroone Ling Li Aftab Ahmad Yaping Huang Ruili Ma Ping Zhang Yuehua Hu Qari Muhammad Kaleem Jun Lu 2018Journal of Materiomics2018,4,2:3
3Impact of hydroelectric projects on river environment: Analysis of water quality changes in Ningxia Reach of Yellow River显示文摘In this paper, the relationship between hydroelectric projects and the river environment is analyzed. Recently, the large-scale regulation of runoff by large hydroelectric projects in the Ningxia Reach of the Yellow River has altered natural runoff processes, causing an increase in the probability of low discharge and an overall adjustment of riverbed evolution and river characteristics. During low-flow years, the combined effects of these two changes can weaken the self-purification capacity and reduce the water environmental capacity of the river. This is one of the main reasons for the recent decrease of water quality in the Ningxia Reach. This research shows that it is necessary to implement river training projects to maintain stable flow paths, not only for adjusting river regimes and for flood control, but also for increasing the self-purification capacity and the water environmental capacity of the river. 8Genome-wide identification,characterization,and expression analysis of aluminum-activated malate transporter genes(ALMTs)in Gossypium hirsutum L.显示文摘Aluminum-activated malate transporters(ALMT)are widely involved in plant growth and metabolic processes,including adaptation to acid soils,guard cell regulation,anion homeostasis,and seed development.Although ALMT genes have been identified in Arabidopsis,wheat,barley,and Lotus japonicus,little is known about its presence in Gossypium hirsutum L.In this study,ALMT gene recognition in diploid and tetraploid cotton were done using bioinformatics analysis that examined correlation between homology and evolution.Differentially regulated ALMT genetic profile in G.hirsutum was examined,using RNA sequencing and qRT-PCR,during six fiber developmental time-points,namely 5 d,7 d,10 d,15 d,20 d,and 25 d.We detected 36 ALMT genes in G.hirsutum,which were subsequently annotated and divided into seven sub-categories.Among these ALMT genes,34 had uneven distribution across 14/26 chromosomes.Conserved domains and gene structure analysis indicated that ALMT genes were highly conserved and composed of exons and introns.The GhALMT gene expression profile at different DPA(days post anthesis)in different varieties of G.hirsutum is indicative of a crucial role of ALMT genes in fiber development in G.hirsutum.This study provides basis for advancements in the cloning and functional enhancements of ALMT genes in enhancing fiber development and augmenting high quality crop production.QUANWEI LU YUZHEN SHI RUILI CHEN XIANGHUI XIAO PENGTAO LI JUWU GONG RENHAI PENG YOULU YUAN 2022BIOCELL2022,46,5:0
