1Hydrothermal Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a Cadmium(II) Polymer with One-dimensional Chain Structure: [Cd(bpy)(BDC)]_n·nbpy显示文摘A metal-organic coordination polymer [Cd(bpy)(BDC)]n·nbpy (bpy = 2,2-bipyri- dine, H2BDC = terephthalic acid) has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characteri- zed by elemental analysis, IR spectrum, TG and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallizes in monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 15.723(5), b = 21.695(5), c = 7.576(5) , β = 116.171(7)o, V = 2319.3(18) 3, C28H20CdN4O4, Mr = 588.88, Dc = 1.686 g/cm3, μ(MoKα) = 0.987 mm-1, F(000) = 1184, Z = 4, the final R = 0.0464 and wR = 0.0831 for 1882 observed reflections (I > 2σ(I)). 2Development of Cryogenic Disinfectants Using in-18℃and-40℃Environments—Worldwide,2021显示文摘Introduction:Since the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)in Beijing Xinfadi Wholesale Market,a series of COVID-19 outbreaks has indicated the threat of transmission due to outer surfaces of objects under low temperatures.Therefore,2 kinds of chlorine-containing disinfectants for−18℃and−40℃were developed in order to solve the problem of low temperature disinfection.Methods:The properties of two cryogenic disinfectants were evaluated by low-temperature test.Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli were used as two indicator microorganisms to evaluate the effects of the two cryogenic disinfectants in the laboratory and field tests according to Technical Specifications for Disinfection(2002 version)and Test method for bactericidal effect of disinfectants in laboratory(GB/T 38502-2020).Results:Two disinfectants could remain in the liquid state at−18℃or−40℃in 72 hours without crystallization and precipitation,and the average log values of microbial reduction before and after disinfection(the average killing log value)both on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli were>3 in the laboratory and field tests.Discussion:The results showed that these two disinfectants remained functional at low temperature to disinfect the packaging of imported cold chain food and surrounding packaging to prevent transmission of COVID-19 from material to people.Huihui Sun Hongyang Duan Wei Zhang Chen Liang Luyao Li Yuan Lyu Yanyan Chen Jin Shen Liubo Zhang 2021China CDC weekly2021,3,13:4
3Facilities for Centralized Isolation and Quarantine for the Observation and Treatment of Patients with COVID-19显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic increased the burden on many healthcare systems and in the process,exposed the need for medical resources and physical space.While few studies discussed the efficient utilization of medical resources and physical space so far.Therefore,this study aimed to summarize experiences related to facilities used for centralized isolation for medical observation and treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic in China and to provide suggestions to further improve the management of confirmed cases,suspected cases,and close contacts.In China,three types of facilities for centralized isolation(Fangcang shelter hospitals,refitted non-designated hospitals,and quarantine hotels)underwent retrofitting for the treatment and isolation of confirmed and suspected cases.These facilities mitigated the immediate high demand for space.Moreover,in order to minimize infection risks in these facilities,regulators and governmental agencies implemented new designs,management measures,and precautionary measures to minimize infection risk.Other countries and regions could refer to China’s experience in optimally allocating social resources in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.As a conclusion,government should allocate social resources and construct centralized isolation and quarantine facilities for an emergency response,health authorities should issue regulations for centralized isolation facilities and pay strict attention to the daily management of these facilities,a multidisciplinary administration team is required to support the daily operation of a centralized isolation facility,in-depth studies and international collaboration on the centralized isolation policy are encouraged.Xianliang Wang Jiao Wang Jin Shen John SJi Lijun Pan Hang Liu Kangfeng Zhao Li Li Bo Ying Lin Fan Liubo Zhang Lin Wang Xiaoming Shi 2021Engineering2021,7,7:3

5Isolation and characterization of deodorizing bacteria for organic sulfide malodor显示文摘Strain Jll screened out from different odor origins can efficiently degrade methyl mercaptan and ethanethiol whereas has no ability to remove dimethyl sulfide. The results indicated that the strain Jll breaks only the C-SH bond. The optimum temperature and pH of Jll are 20—30℃ and 6.0—8.3 respectively. A systematic identification method—16S rDNA gene sequence comparison, for deodorizing bacteria was carried out. 6Effect of Annealing Temperature on the Microstructure and Resistivity of Ge2Sb2Te5 Films显示文摘The effect of annealing temperature on crystallization of amorphous Ge2Sb2Te5 films with thickness of 4Onto isstudied by TEM and AFM methods. The relationship between microstructure and resistivity of the Ge2Sb2Te5film is investigated. From the TEM measurements, the grain size of crystallites increases gradually as theannealing temperature increases. When the annealing temperature is too high, voids are formed, which mayoriginate from evaporation of the Ge2Sb2Te5 film at the elevated temperatures, formation of sink, being nucleatedby residual vacancies, and surface roughness. The resistivity of the Ge2Sb2Te5 film decreases with the increasingannealing temperature and has slight changes when the temperature is higher than 400℃. 15An Efficient Algorithm in Time Domain——ADI/R—FDTD显示文摘A new time domain algorithm (named ADI/R-FDTD), which combines two modified finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) methods (ADI-FDTD and R-FDTD), is proposed in this paper. The algorithm is de-rived from Maxwell's curl and divergence equations. It in-herits the advantages of the former two methods, I.e., not only eliminating the restraint of the courant-friedrich-levy(C-F-L) condition and resulting in an efficient saving of CPU time, but also reaching a required memory reduction(up to about 1/3 of ADI-FDTD) in the storage of the field components. This paper presents a detailed description of the formulation and then makes a comparison between the simulation results of ADI/R-FDTD and those obtained from FDTD, ADI-FDTD and R-FDTD. 16Transformation of the salttolerant gene of Avicennia marina into tobacco plants and cultivation of salt-tolerant lines显示文摘Salt-tolerant gene, CSRG1, which was isolated from a kind of salt-tolerant mangroves, Avicennia marina, constructed the transgenic plasmid, pGAM189/CSRG1. CSRG1, GUS, Kmr and Hyg^r could be transferred into tobacco genome by the ameliorated leaf discs method of agro-bacterium-mediate transformation. Thirteen stable resistant lines were obtained when fifty transgenic explants were selected through 50 mg/L hygromycin and 150 mg/L kanamycin. Assessments of PCR amplification, Southern blot analysis and GUS histochemical staining showed that CSRG1 has been integrated into the genome of the eleven transgenic lines (frequency of transformation was 22%). Northern bolt analysis revealed that CSRG1 had expressed in transgenic lines. The assessments of salt-tolerant ability and photosyn-thetic rates indicated that the survival rate of the transgenic lines is 80%—90% and the transgenic lines could increase by 30%—40% in plant height, even when they were cultivated in MS medium containing 2% NaCl and the total seawater (salinity 24). 18Preliminary Study of Pulsed Ultraviolet Technology for Low-Temperature Disinfection显示文摘Introduction:To explore the feasibility of pulsed ultraviolet(UV)light technology for low-temperature disinfection,a series of experiments were conducted.Methods:Pulsed UV technology’s effectiveness in disinfecting Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative Escherichia coli on different carriers were studied under varying temperatures.Results:Under different temperatures and constant radiation illumination(i.e.,distance),the disinfection effect was correlated with irradiation time;among the three carriers,the disinfection effect of cloth sheets was the best,followed by stainless steel sheets,and corrugated paper sheet.The disinfection effect on Gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli was better than that on Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus overall.Discussion:Temperature has a limited effect on pulsed UV disinfection.Irradiation times and carrier types are influencing factors.Luyao Li Tao Li Jin Shen Huihui Sun Hongyang Duan Changping Zhu Wei Zhang Chen Liang Baoying Zhang Yan Li Liubo Zhang 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,16:0
