| 1 | Integration of Metabolomics and Subcellular Organelle Expression Microarray to Increase Understanding the Organic Acid Changes in Post-harvest Citrus Fruit显示文摘Citric acid plays an important role in fresh fruit favor and its adaptability to post-harvest storage conditions.In order to explore organic acid regulatory mechanisms in post-harvest citrus fruit,systematic biological analyses were conducted on stored Hirado Buntan Pummelo(HBP;Citrus grandis)fruits.High-performance capillary electrophoresis,subcellular organelle expression microarray,real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction,gas chromatography mass spectrometry(GC-MS),and conventional physiological and biochemical analyses were undertaken.The results showed that the concentration of organic acids in HBP underwent a regular fuctuation.GC-MS-based metabolic profling indicated that succinic acid,g-aminobutyric acid(GABA),and glutamine contents increased,but 2-oxoglutaric acid content declined,which further confrmed that the GABA shunt may have some regulatory roles in organic acid catabolism processes.In addition,the concentration of organic acids was signifcantly correlated with senescence-related physiological processes,such as hydrogen peroxide content as well as superoxide dismutase and peroxidase activities,which showed that organic acids could be regarded as important parameters for measuring citrus fruit post-harvest senescence processes. | Xiaohua Sun Andan Zhu Shuzhen Liu Ling Sheng Qiaoli Ma Li Zhang Elsayed Mohamed Elsayed Nishawy Yunliu Zeng Juan Xu Zhaocheng Ma Yunjiang Cheng Xiuxin Deng | 2013 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2013,55,11: | 14 |

| 3 | The classification and assessment of freeze-thaw erosion in Tibet显示文摘Freeze-thaw erosion is the third largest soil erosion type after water erosion and wind erosion. Restricted by many factors, few researches on freeze-thaw erosion have so far been done at home and abroad, especially those on the assessment method of freeze-thaw erosion. Based on the comprehensive analysis of impact factors of free-thaw erosion, this paper chooses six indexes, including the annual temperature range, annual precipitation, slope, aspect, vegetation and soil, to build the model for relative classification of freeze-thaw erosion using weighted and additive methods, and realizes the relative classification of the freeze-thaw erosion in Tibet with the support of GIS software. Then a synthetic assessment of freeze-thaw erosion in Tibet has been carried out according to the relative classification result. | 5 | Carbon isotopic records in paleosols over the Pliocene in Northern China: Implication on vegetation development and Tibetan uplift显示文摘Carbon isotopic composition of pedogenic carbonate can be used to estimate the proportion of C4 and C3 plants. Here we present carbon isotopic data of carbonate in a red earth section at Xifeng, central Loess Plateau. Results show that C4 vegetation increased in -4.4 Ma B.P., stabilized between 4.0 and 3.0 Ma B.P. The character and timing of C4 expansion on the Loess Plateau are similar, but different with other localities, e.g. Pakistan and Africa, implying that regional climate changes were main factors driving the expansion of C4 plants. This event is comparable in timing with increased aridity evidenced by Xifeng grain size and North Pacific eolian dust records. | 7 | A Study of Tensile Strength Tests of Arborous Species Root System in Forest Engineering Technique of Shallow Landslide显示文摘One experiment was conducted, through tensile tests of Albazzia and Eucalypt roots culled from the fields. The other experiment was conducted, by testing anti-drawing strength of these root systems in the Albazzia and Eucalypt lands. These two experiments had an aim to give insights into the maximum tensile strength and anti-drawing strength of the root systems. Results indicated that the maximum tensile strength of root system is in an exponential relation with the diameter of root system while the maximum tensile strength is positively correlative with the diameter of root system. | 8 | Toxic effects of chlortetracycline on maize growth,reactive oxygen species generation and the antioxidant response显示文摘The toxicity of chlortetracycline (CTC) on maize (Zea mays L.) growth and reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation was studied.The root and shoot lengths and fresh weights of maize seedlings were inhibited by CTC treatment (p < 0.05).Root length was more sensitive than other parameters with the EC 10 value of 0.064 mg/L.The spin trapping technique followed by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) analysis was used to quantify the ROS production.The ROS generated in maize roots after exposure to CTC was identified as hydroxyl radical (·OH).The EPR signal intensity correlated positively with the logarithm of CTC concentrations exposed (p < 0.05).The dynamic changes of malondialdehyde (MDA) contents and the antioxidative enzyme activities in maize roots were also determined.As compared to the control group,CTC was found to significantly increase MDA content.Treatment of maize roots with the ·OH scavenger sodium benzoate (SB) reduced the MDA content and enhanced the antioxidative enzyme activities.The results demonstrated the harmfulness of CTC at high dose to maize in the early developmental stage,and clarified that the inducement of ·OH is one of the mechanisms of CTC toxicity. | Bei Wen Yu Liu Peng Wang Tong WU Shuzhen Zhang Xiaoquan Shan Jingfen Lu | 2012 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,6: | 6 |
| 9 | Influences of pH value in deposition-precipitation synthesis process on Pt-doped TiO_2 catalysts for photocatalytic oxidation of NO显示文摘This work has been undertaken to study the influences of pH value on the characteristics and activity of photocatalyst by depositionprecipitation method during its preparation process.A series of Pt-modified TiO 2 were prepared by deposition-precipitation method at different pH values as well as wet impregnation method,and characterized by XRD,XPS,TEM,UV-Vis and photoluminescence(PL).It was found that the catalysts had the highest photocatalytic activity for NO conversion when pH value was kept at around 7.And the sample prepared by deposition-precipitation method showed higher activity than that by impregnation method.This was mainly due to their high value in highly-dispersed platinum oxides(PtOx) content on the surface of the catalysts.The results from UV-Vis absorption showed that highest absorbance was obtained for Pt/TiO 2 prepared at pH values of around 7.And PL spectra results indicated that the recombination rate of photogenerated electrons and holes of the samples prepared by deposition-precipitation method was lower than that prepared by impregnation method.And in the zeta potential study,the pH values for the isoelectric point of the preparing slurry of 0.05 wt.%Pt/TiO 2 and 0.5 wt.%Pt/TiO 2 were determined to be 6.5-8.5,which further confirmed the enrichment of PtOx dopants for the catalysts repapered when pH value was around 7. | Shuzhen Song Zhongyi Sheng Yue Liu Haiqiang Wang Zhongbiao Wu | 2012 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,8: | 5 |

Index system is firstly set down for quantitative assessment of rare animal and plant species,then endangerment degree of wildlife under special state protection are calculated,which is expressed by value E. The results reveal that Yunnan snub-nosed monkey(Rhinopithecus bieti) ,Himalayan tahr(Hemitragus jemlahicus) and Gigantic Cy-press(Cupressus gigantea) have the highest E respectively in animals and plants. According to value E,all species are catego-rized into 4 ranks:critically endangered(0.6-0.8) ,endangered(0.4-0.6) ,vulnerable(0.2-0.4) and lower risk( E ≤ 0.2) . | 11 | Effects of purified zearalenone on selected immunological and histopathologic measurements of spleen in post-weanling gilts显示文摘The present study was aimed at investigating the adverse effects of dietary zearalenone(ZEA) on the lymphocyte proliferation rate(LPR), interleukin-2(IL-2), mRNA expressions of pro-inflammatory cytokines, and histopathologic changes of spleen in post-weanling gilts. A total of 20 crossbred piglets(Yorkshire × Landrace × Duroc) with an initial BW of 10.36 ± 1.21 kg(21 d of age) were used in the study.Piglets were fed a basal diet with an addition of 0.1.1,2.0, or 3.2 mg/kg purified ZEA for 18 d ad libitum.The results showed that LPR and IL-2 production of spleen decreased linearly(P < 0.05) as dietary ZEA increased. Splenic mRNA expressions of interleukin-1β(IL-1β) and interleukin-6(IL-6) were linearly upregulated(P < 0.05) as dietary ZEA increased. On the contrary, linear down-regulation(P<0.05) of mRNA expression of interferon-γ(IFN-γ) was observed as dietary ZEA increased. Swelling splenocyte in1.1 mg/kg ZEA treatments, atrophy of white pulp and swelling of red pulp in 2.0 and 3.2 mg/kg ZEA treatments were observed. | 12 | Effects of purified zearalenone on selected immunological measurements of blood in post-weaning gilts显示文摘Zearalenone(ZEA), an estrogenic mycotoxin, is produced mainly by Fusarium fungi. Previous studies have indicated that acute ZEA exposure induced various damages in different species; however, its transparent hematotoxicity in female piglets at dietary levels of 1.1 to 3.2 mg/kg has not been shown. The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary ZEA(1.1—3.2 mg/kg) on hematology, T lymphocyte subset, immunoglobulin, antibody titer, lymphocyte proliferation rate(LPR), and interleukin-2(IL-2) in peripheral blood of post-weaning gilts. A total of 20 female piglets(Landrace × Yorkshire × Duroc),weaned at 42 d with an average body weight of 10.36 ± 1.21 kg were used in the study. Female piglets were kept in a temperature controlled room, divided into four treatments, and fed a diet based on corn-soybean meal-fishmeal-whey, with an addition of 0, 1.1, 2.0, or3.2 mg/kg purified ZEA for 18 d ad libitum. Feed intake and refusal were measured daily and individual pigs were weighed weekly. Blood and serum samples were collected for selected immunological measurements. Female piglets fed different levels of dietary ZEA grew similarly with no difference in feed intake. Hematological values including leukocytes, platelets, lymphocytes, hematocrit, and mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH) decreased linearly(P < 0.05) as dietary ZEA increased. Female piglets fed diets containing 2.0 mg/kg ZEA or greater showed significantly decreased CD4+CD8+, CD4+, and CD4+/CD8^+ in comparison to the control(P < 0.05), whereas CD8^+ was significantly increased(P = 0.026) in the gilts which were fed the diet containing 3.2 mg/kg ZEA. Serum immunoglobulin G(IgG) and the antibody titer on d 18 were reduced linearly as dietary ZEA levels increased(P < 0.001). Linear decrease in LPR was observed(P < 0.05). Female piglets fed diets containing 2.0 mg/kg ZEA or more showed significantly decreased IL-2 in comparison to the control(P < 0.05). | 13 | Weathering Signals of Millennial-Scale Oscillations of the East-Asian Summer Monsoon over the Last 220 ka显示文摘This study generated a high-resolution paleoweathering record of the loess-soilsequence from the central Loess Plateau covering the last 220 ka using the ratio between the CBD(citrate-bicarbonate-dithionite) extractable free Fe2O3 (Fed) and total Fe2O3 (Fet). The new proxyshows a series of millennial oscillations, which are not necessarily documented by magneticsusceptibility from the same site. Because chemical weathering in the region depends mainly uponsummer precipitation and temperature, we interpret these changes to be a result of millennial-scalevariations in the strength of the East-Asian summer monsoon. Over the last glacial period, there isgeneral agreement between the loess weathering record and the GRIP ice δ18O record. The firstsuggests a rather stable summer monsoon pattern during the Last Interglacial period (marine δ18Ostage 5e). | 15 | Determination of total arsenic by photo-decomposition of organoarsenic compounds and hydride generation electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry显示文摘A method was developed for the determination of total arsenic concentration in less than ng/ml level by decomposition of organoarsenicals using photo -oxidation combined with in situ trapping of arsenic hydride on a palladium coated graphite tube with subsequent atomization and detection by AAS. The organoarsenicals include monomethylarsenic, dimethylarsenic, arsenobetaine, arsenocholine, o -aminobenzenarsenate and p -aminobenzenarsenate. The method is simple and sensitive. Detection limit was obtained from different arsenic compounds over the range from 0. 058 to 0.063 ng/ml as As (based on three times of the standard deviation of 10 blank measurements) and the relative standard deviations for ten replicate measurements were from 2.0 to 3.8%. The calibration curves of arsenic compounds including inorganic and organic arsenicals were linear over the range from 0.1 to 3.0 ng/ml as As. | 16 | In vitro and in silico analysis of dual-function peptides derived from casein hydrolysate显示文摘There is no study on food-derived peptide with both anticoagulant and angiotensin I-converting enzyme inhibitory (ACEI) activities yet. In this work, the anticoagulant and ACEI activities of the casein hydrolysates released by pepsin digestion were evaluated for the first time to the best of our knowledge. Results indicated that the casein hydrolysate exhibited potent anticoagulant activity by prolonging the thrombin time (TT) and the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT). Compared with control samples, at 10 mg/mL, the TT and APTT of casein hydrolysate were 186.0 % ± 6.6 % and 163.5 % ± 7.4 %, respectively. The casein hydrolysate also showed a strong ACEI activity with an IC50 value of 1.775 mg/mL. The components of the bioactive casein hydrolysate were analyzed by nanoscale liquid chromatography quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry (NanoLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS). Total of 115 peptides were identified, among which 34, 9, 55 and 17 peptides were derived from α_(s1-), α_(s2-), β-, and κ-casein, respectively. The results of PeptideRanker and PepSite 2 analysis showed that 6 peptides (FRQFYQL, NENLLRF, NPWDQVKR, PVVVPPFLQ, PVRGPFPIIV, and ARHPHPHLSF) have both ACEI and anticoagulant activities by binding to the active sites of ACE and thrombin. | 17 | Monitoring on soil erosion and sediment delivery at a typical basin of the middle and lower reaches of the Jialing River by remote sensing显示文摘The monitoring work was performed on soil erosion in Lizixi drainage area respectively in 1986 and 1999 by multiple methods with the information extracted from the Landsat TM imagery and Spot imagery. The variation of erosion quantity in this area is calculated based on the monitoring result of the erosion intensity and area in these two years. The change of sediment delivery is also analyzed. The research result shows that compared to 1986, in 1999, the erosion area reduced, especially for the area of moderate intensity and above, and the intensity and quantity of erosion decreased. Compared to this period from 1965 to 1986, the sediment delivery ratio has been changed from 0.27 to 0.11 after 1986. | 18 | Neuroprotective effect of Longshengzhi capsule following permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion in rats显示文摘Objective:Longshengzhi capsule(LSZC)is an optimized preparation based on the traditional Chinese Medicine formula Buyanghuanwu Decoction(BYHWD),and is approved by the China Food and Drug Administration for treating stroke-induced disability and vascular diseases.Herein,we examined the pharmacodynamics,anti-apoptotic and anti-oxidant actions,and potential mechanisms of action of LSZC following stroke in rats.Methods:Permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)was used as an ischemic stroke model.LSZC was administered intragastrically.We examined the survival rate,bodyweight,and neurological deficits in stroke rats.Brain infarct size was determined by 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining.Brain pathology was examined using hematoxylin and eosin staining,Nissl staining,and TdT-mediated dUTP Nick-End Labeling staining.Malondialdehyde,catalase,superoxide dismutase,and glutathione levels were examined by commercial kits.Expression of Nrf2,heme oxygenase-1,Bax,Bcl-2,cleaved caspase-3,and caspase-3 proteins in brain tissue was measured by Western blot.Results:LSZC markedly improved the survival rate and bodyweight,and reduced infarct volume and neurological deficit scores,in MCAO stroke rats.LSZC also significantly attenuated oxidative stress,as indicated by decreased expression of malondialdehyde,and upregulation of Nrf2,heme oxygenase-1,catalase,superoxide dismutase,and glutathione.Moreover,LSZC significantly decreased apoptosis,including a decrease in Bax and cleaved caspase-3 expression,and an increase in Bcl-2,as well as a reduction in numbers of apoptotic neurons.Conclusion:LSZC treatment is neuroprotective against ischemic stroke,potentially via reducing oxidative stress and apoptosis.The Nrf2 and apoptotic signaling pathways may play important roles in the antioxidant and anti-apoptotic actions of LSZC. | Xiaoli Sun Shuzhen Guo Yong Wang Bangze Fu Junjie Liu Yili Zhang Ruocong Yang Chun Li Jian Gao Li Gao Wei Wang | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,1: | 4 |
| 19 | Marine hydrographic spatial-variability and its cause at the northern margin of the Amery Ice Shelf显示文摘Conductivity,temperature and depth(CTD) data collected along a zonal hydrographic section from the northern margin of the Amery Ice Shelf on 25-27 February 2008 by the 24th Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition (CHINARE) cruise in the 2007/2008 austral summer are analyzed to study thermohaline structures.Analysis reveals warm subsurface water in a limited area around the east end of the northern margin,where the temperature,salinity and density have east-west gradients in the surface layer of the hydrographic section.The localization of the warm subsurface water and the causes of the CTD gradients in the surface layer are discussed.In addition,the results from these CTD data analyses are compared with those from the 22nd CHINARE cruise in the 2005/2006 austral summer.This comparison revealed that the thermoclines and haloclines had deepened and their strengths weakened in the 2007/2008 austral summer.The difference between the two data sets and the cause for it can be reasonably explained and attributed to the change in ocean-ice-atmosphere interactions at the northern margin of the Amery Ice Shelf. | GE RenFeng DONG ZhaoQian CHEN HongXia LIU Na SHI JiuXing PU ShuZhen | 2011 | Advances in Polar Science2011,22,2: | 3 |
| 20 | Aging effect on the mobility and bioavailability of copper in soil显示文摘Aging effect on the mobility and bioavailability of copper(Cu) was investigated using a spiked soil with different incubation periods from 3 to 56 d.Wheat was planted and earthworms were cultured separately in the incubated soils.The mobility of Cu in soil was evaluated by a chemical fractionation scheme and the toxicity and bioavailability were assessed by measuring the biomass and Cu concentration in tissues.Results showed that aging had a significant effect on Cu fraction distribution,of which Cu tended to incorporate from the exchangeable into more stable fractions such as the reducible and oxidisable fractions.However,aging had little effect on Cu bioavailability to wheat and earthworm.Comparing the soil being incubated for 3 d and 56 d,Cu concentration in wheat roots decreased from 14.5 to 12.8 mg/kg,and no significant changes in Cu concentration were observed in both wheat shoots and earthworms.The Cu concentration was around 2.0 and 50 mg/kg for wheat shoots and earthworms,respectively,irrespective of soil incubation time.The CaCl2-extractable Cu had a linear relationship with Cu concentration in wheat roots(R2 = 0.65,P < 0.05),but no linear relationship can be found for wheat shoots and earthworms.Biological control may be more crucial for Cu accumulation in organism than the changes in soil Cu fraction caused by aging. | LU Anxiang ZHANG Shuzhen QIN Xiangyang WU Wenyong LIU Honglu | 2009 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,2: | 3 |
