1Seismic Sequence in Carbonate Rocks By Vibrational Liquefaction显示文摘On the basis of the records of strong seismic events taking place in soft carbonate sediments, a new seismic sequence system of vibrational liquefaction is established, which consists of a series of units, such as escaped structure of micrite veins and liquefied deformation formed in the period of seismic liquefaction, land subsidence structure after liquefaction, tsunamic hummocky and turbidite produced by seismic events, This sequence is a generalization and summation of field observation in vast areas, which shows the whole process of a strong seismic event and provides an unified theoretical explanation. The pattern of the seismic sequence by vibrational liquefaction provides one of correlation standards for geologists in the field to discriminate events in carbonate sequences. 330 GHz GeSn photodetector on SOI substrate for 2 µm wavelength application显示文摘We report the demonstration of a normal-incidence p-i-n germanium-tin(Ge_(0.951)Sn_(0.049))photodetector on silicon-on-insulator substrate for 2μm wavelength application.The DC and RF characteristics of the devices have been characterized.A dark current density under−1 V bias of approximately 125 mA/cm^(2) is achieved at room temperature,and the optical responsivity of 14 mA/W is realized for illumination wavelength of 2μm under−1 V reverse bias.In addition,a 3 dB bandwidth(f_(3dB))of around 30 GHz is achieved at−3 V,which is the highest reported value among all group III–V and group IV photodetectors working in the 2μm wavelength range.This work illustrates that a GeSn photodetector has great prospects in 2μm wavelength optical communication.Xiuli Li Linzhi Peng Zhi Liu Zhiqi Zhou Jun Zheng Chunlai Xue Yuhua Zuo Baile Chen Buwen Cheng 2021Photonics Research2021,9,4:6
4Composite Stratigraphy of the Sailinhudong Group and Ore-bearing Micrite Mounds in the Bayan Obo Deposits,Inner Mongolia,China显示文摘Based on studies of sequence stratigraphy, event stratigraphy, biostratigraphy and lithostratigraphy, it is concluded that the Sailinhudong Group is a part of the Bayan Obo Group. Some trilobite fragments are first found in thin sections of the rock from the lower part of the Sailinhudong Group and some Ordovician acritarchs and chitinozoans are also found in this group. A formationa unit of carbonate seismites is first recognized in the upper part and a huge micrite mound is first identified at the top. Dolomite, the host rock of the super giant Bayan Obo Fe-Nb-REE deposits, is neither an igneous carbonatite nor a common bedded sedimentary carbonate, but a huge micrite mound. It has the same macroscopic characters as the micrite mounds at the top of the Sailinhudong Group, which suggests that they should be of the same horizon. According to the fossils, the Sailinhudong and Bayan Obo Groups should be of the Early Palaeozoic rather than the Middle Proterozoic. 5Horizontal GeSn/Ge multi-quantum-well ridge waveguide LEDs on silicon substrates显示文摘A horizontal p-i-n ridge waveguide emitter on a slion(100)substrate with a Gen,g1Sno.c9/Ge multi quantum-well(MQW)active layer was fabricated by molecular beam epitaxy.The device structure was designed to reduce light absorption of metal electrodes and improve injection efficiency.Electroluminescence(EL)at a wavelength of 2160 nm was observed at room temperature.Theoretical calculations indicate that the emission peak corresponds well to the direct bandgap transition(nr-mHr).The light output power was about 2.0μW with an injection current density of 200 kA/cm^2.These results show that the horizontal GeSn/Ge MQW ridge waveguide emiters have great pros-pects for group-IV light sources.LINZHI PENG Xu LI ZHI LIU XIANGQUAN LIU JUN ZHENG CHUNLAI XUE YUHUA ZUO BUWEN CHENG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,6:3

7A virus-derived siRNA activates plant immunity by interfering with ROS scavenging显示文摘Virus-derived small interference RNAs(vsiRNAs)not only suppress virus infection in plants via induction of RNA silencing but also enhance virus infection by regulating host defensive gene expression.However,the underlying mechanisms that control vsiRNA-mediated host immunity or susceptibility remain largely unknown.In this study,we generated several transgenic wheat lines using four artificial microRNA expression vectors carrying vsiRNAs from Wheat yellow mosaic virus(WYMV)RNA1.Laboratory and field tests showed that two transgenic wheat lines expressing amiRNAI were highly resistant to WYMV infection.Further analyses showed that vsiRNAI could modulate the expression of a wheat thioredoxin-like gene(TaAAEDI),which encodes a negative regulator of reactive oxygen species(ROS)production in the chloroplast.The function of TaAAEDI in ROS scavenging could be suppressed by vsiRNAI in a dose-dependent manner.Furthermore,transgenic expression of amiRNAI in wheat resulted in broad-spectrum disease resistance to Chinese wheat mosaic virus,Barley stripe mosaic virus,and Puccinia striiformis f.sp.tritici infection,suggesting that vsiRNAI is involved in wheat immunity via ROS signaling.Collectively,these findings reveal a previously unidentified mechanism underlying the arms race between viruses and plants.Peng Liu Xiaoxiang Zhang Fan Zhang Miaoze Xu Zhuangxin Ye Ke Wang Shuang Liu Xiaolei Han Ye Cheng Kaili Zhong Tianye Zhang Linzhi Li Youzhi Ma Ming Chen Jianping Chen Jian Yang 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,7:1
8Evaluation of the safety and efficacy of glucocorticoid therapy for hyperbilirubinemia in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma who have undergone transcatheter arterial chemoembolization显示文摘Objective The aim of this study was to analyze the safety and efficacy of glucocorticoid treatment for hyperbilirubinemia in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)who have undergone transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE).Methods We conducted a retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 198 patients with HCC who were admitted to The Fifth Medical Center of PLA General Hospital from June 2014 to August 2019 and underwent TACE therapy.The patients were divided into glucocorticoid(GCC)treatment group and control group.Standard liver-protecting procedures were used in both groups.The treatment group also received intravenous injections of methylprednisolone sodium succinate for 3–5 days.Reduction in bilirubin concentration,mean duration of hospitalization,and complications were compared between the two groups to investigate the safety and efficacy of GCCs for treatment of hyperbilirubinemia after TACE treatment.Results Bilirubin concentrations were significantly lower in the treatment group than in control group on days 3 and 5 after GCC/conventional liver-protecting treatment(P<0.05).The treatment group had significantly shorter durations of total post-surgery hospitalization,and recovery time than the control group(14.5±4.6 days vs.17.5±6.6 days,P<0.001;9.2±3.3 days vs.11.8±5.4 days,P=0.001;7.0±3.3 days vs.9.3±4.6 days,P<0.001).No GCC-associated complications were detected in the treatment group.Conclusion Short-term use of GCCs to treat hyperbilirubinemia in patients with HCC who have undergone TACE is safe and associated with rapid decline in bilirubin concentration and shorter hospital stay compared with patients who did not receive GCCs.Jingyan Wang Linzhi Zhang Xiaoming Peng Yun Zhao Lin Zhou 2020Oncology and Translational Medicine2020,6,2:1

10Combination of TACE and FOLFOX4 in the treatment of unresectable advanced hepatocellular carcinoma:a prospective cohort study显示文摘Objective The aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness and safety of a combined therapy with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)and FOLFOX4,in patients with unresectable advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods In this study,patients with advanced HCC,that received treatment between November 2015 and October 2017,were recruited.Among these,30 patients were treated with TACE only(TACE group);whereas 33 patients were treated with a combination of FOLFOX4 chemotherapy and TACE(combination group).Survival analyses,including overall survival(OS)and progression free survival(PFS)analysis,were performed for both groups.Following this,the responses of patients to treatment were evaluated every 3 months,and the toxic and adverse events were observed.Results The median follow-up time was 9.2 months(3-36 months).In the combination group,at 3 months,a disease control rate(DCR)of 60.6%,and a median OS of 9.1 months was obtained[95%confidence interval(CI)6.5-11.7].In the TACE group,the DCR and OS were 33.3%and 5.5 months(95%CI 4.3-6.7),respectively.On the other hand,the PFS in the combination and TACE groups were observed as 5.6 months(95%CI 3.6-7.6)and 2.6 months(95%CI 2.0-3.2),respectively.Both these findings indicate a statistically significant difference(P=0.01)between both the groups.Similar TACE associated adverse events were observed in both groups.In the combination group,frequently observed FOLFOX4 related adverse effects included nausea(90.9%),leukopenia(75.8%),thrombocytopenia(69.7%),and vomiting(69.7%).Most adverse reactions were between grades I-III and were alleviated after symptomatic treatments.Conclusion The combination of TACE with FOLFOX4 therapy has better effectivity and safety than TACE alone.Jingyan Wang Linzhi Zhang Xiaoming Peng Yun Zhao Lin Zhou 2020Oncology and Translational Medicine2020,6,5:1
1175 GHz germanium waveguide photodetector with 64 Gbps data rates utilizing an inductive-gain-peaking technique显示文摘High-performance germanium(Ge)waveguide photodetectors are designed and fabricated utilizing the inductivegain-peaking technique.With the appropriate integrated inductors,the 3-dB bandwidth of photodetectors is significantly improved owing to the inductive-gain-peaking effect without any compromises to the dark current and optical responsivity.Measured 3-dB bandwidth up to 75 GHz is realized and clear open eye diagrams at 64 Gbps are observed.In this work,the relationship between the frequency response and large signal transmission characteristics on the integrated inductors of Ge waveguide photodetectors is investigated,which indicates the high-speed performance of photodetectors using the inductive-gainpeaking technique.Xiuli Li Yupeng Zhu Zhi Liu Linzhi Peng Xiangquan Liu Chaoqun Niu Jun Zheng Yuhua Zuo Buwen Cheng 2023Journal of Semiconductors2023,44,1:0
