Spatial structure of turbulent mixing of an anticyclonic mesoscale eddy in the northern South China Sea显示文摘Upper turbulent mixing in the interior and surrounding areas of an anticyclonic eddy in the northern South China Sea(SCS)was estimated from underwater glider data(May 2015)in the present study, using the Gregg-HenyeyPolzin parameterization and the Thorpe-scale method. The observations revealed a clear asymmetrical spatial pattern of turbulent mixing in the anticyclonic eddy area.Enhanced diffusivity(in the order of 10–3 m2/s)was found at the posterior edge of the anticyclonic mesoscale eddy;on the anterior side, diffusivity was one order of magnitude lower on average. This asymmetrical pattern was highly correlated with the eddy kinetic energy.Higher shear variance on the posterior side, which is conducive to the triggering of shear instability, may be the main mechanism for the elevated diffusivity. In addition, the generation and growth of sub-mesoscale motions that are fed by mesoscale eddies on their posterior side may also promote the occurrence of strong mixing in the studied region. The results of this study help improve our knowledge regarding turbulent mixing in the northern SCS. | Yongfeng Qi Chenjing Shang Huabin Mao Chunhua Qiu Changrong Liang Linghui Yu Jiancheng Yu Xiaodong Shang | 2020 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,11: | 2
Effects of catalyst mass loading on electrocatalytic activity:An example of oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘The evaluation of the intrinsic activity of catalysts is the most basic in searching energy-and cost-efficient catalyst materials for various applications. The accurate determination of the intrinsic activity is essential for identifying efficient catalysts. While a huge number of studies of electrocatalysis for various applications have been reported, the effects of electrode loading on the apparent intrinsic activity obtained experimentally have been rarely discussed. With a high mass loading on the electrode, not all the catalyst surfaces can be electrochemically active because not all the surfaces can be wetted by the electrolyte. The loading also affects the transport of electrons over the electrode as well as the transport of ions in the electrolyte, and thus affects the kinetics. These lead to the derivations of the apparent intrinsic activity from the real intrinsic activity.Herein, for better understanding the derivations,we evaluate and discuss the effects of electrode mass loading using oxygen evolution reaction as an example. | Linghui Yu Shengnan Suna Haiyan Li Zhichuan JXu | 2021 | Fundamental Research2021,1,4: | 2
Electrodeposited Sulfur and CoxS Electrocatalyst on Buckypaper as High-Performance Cathode for Li-S Batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)are considered as the next generation of advanced rechargeable batteries because of their high energy density. In this study, sulfur and CoxS electrocatalyst are deposited on carbon nanotube buckypaper(S/CoxS/BP)by a facile electrodeposition method and are used as a binder-free high-performance cathode for LSBs.Elemental sulfur is deposited on buckypaper by electrooxidation of a polysulfide solution(-S6^2-).This approach substantially increased the current and time efficiency of sulfur electrochemical deposition on conductive material for LSBs.S/CoxS/BP cathode could deliver an initial discharge capacity as high as 1650 mAh g^-1 at 0.1 C,which is close to the theoretical capacity of sulfur. At current rate of 0.5 C,the S/CoxS/BP has a capacity of 1420 mAh g^-1 at the first cycle and 715 mAh g^-1 after 500 cycles with a fading rate of 0.099%per cycle. The high capacity of S/CoxS/BP is attributed to both the homogeneous dispersion of nanosized sulfur within BP and the presence of CoxS catalyst. The sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS)pretreatment of BP renders it polarity to bind polysulfides and thus facilitates the good dispersibility of nanosized sulfur within BP.CoxS catalyst accelerates the kinetics of polysulfide conversion and reduces the presence of polysulfide in the cathode, which suppresses the polysulfide diffusion to anode,i.e.,the shuttle effect. The mitigation of the active material loss improves not only the capacity but also the cyclability of S/CoxS/BP. | Yi Zhan Andrea Buffa Linghui Yu Zhichuan JXu Daniel Mandler | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,10: | 2

Mesozoic Thrust-Nappe and Extensional Structure Frameworks in the East Segment of Southeast Yangtze Block, Southeast China显示文摘Multi-stage Mesozoic thrust-nappe and extensional structures are distributed in the east segment of the Southeast Yangtze Block situated in the junction region of Zhejiang-Jiangxi-Anhui provinces. The features and genetic mechanism of the deformations were analyzed after a detailed field observation of their distribution, geometry, and kinematics. In addition, the time sequences of the thrust and extensional structures were determined by combining the results of the comparative analysis with the chronological evidence of strata and magmatic rocks cut by a fault or formed after a fault according to field facts. This study identified three stages of the nappe structures and at least two stages of the extensional structures during the Mesozoic. The geotectonic setting of the nappe and extensional structures was considered to be related to the different geodynamics in the study area including the Early Mesozoic geological event, i.e., N-S compression, forming Lantian fault, etc.;the Late Mesozoic flat-slab subduction, forming Xiaoxi thrust fault and tectonic window;and the roll-back of the paleoPacific Plate, forming extensional structures like basin marginal fault;the last compression, forming Wucheng-Shenxian fault. These findings provide additional evidence for remodeling the tectonic and geodynamic evolution of Southeast China. | Xinqi Yu Ziwei Chen Jun Hu Yan Zeng Xiu Liu Yu He Zishen Wang Linghui Meng | 2020 | Journal of Earth Science2020,31,4: | 1

Rectifying the Neoproterozoic Stratigraphic Framework of Eastern Jiangnan Orogen, Southeast China显示文摘Studies on the metamorphic and related magmatic rocks within the Jiangnan Orogen, southern China, are important to understand the formation and evolution of this Neoproterozoic orogen because they can provide evidence for revealing the tectonic evolution of the South China Block.Following on from earlier attempts at stratigraphic correlation and creating a framework for the low-grade metamorphosed basement, new first-hand information on the composition and deformation of the East Jiangnan Orogen basement indicates that the sedimentary rocks in the north are composed of the sequential Shangxi Group(Gp)and the overlying Likou Gp,with a clear regional unconformity in between. The Likou Gp includes the Zhentou Formation(Fm.)and the Dengjia Fm.,with the previously named Puling Fm.only basalt interbeds within the Dengjia Fm.The Xucun granodiorite pluton of^830 Ma intrudes the Shangxi Gp,thereby resulting in a 100 mwide hornfels zone within the wall rocks, indicating that the formation of the group occurred earlier than that of the pluton.By contrast, the southern metamorphic rocks of the Xikou Gp and the overlying Jingtan Fm.are flaky, disordered, and strongly deformed. The Jingtan Fm.is roughly equivalent to the Heshangzhen Gp and includes the Zhoujiacun conglomerates in the lower part and a rhyolite in the upper part with interbedded basalt. This assessment of Neoproterozoic stratigraphic sequences and magmatic rocks in the east of the Jiangnan Orogen differs from and rectifies previous studies, emphasizing that explanation of analytical results, particularly geochronology, should be consistent with facts gathered in the field. | YU Xinqi LIU Junlai CHEN Ziwei HU Jun ZENG Yan LIU Xiu LIU Mengyan HE Yu MENG Linghui WANG Zishen | 2020 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,6: | 0

Netrin-3 Suppresses Diabetic Neuropathic Pain by Gating the Intra-epidermal Sprouting of Sensory显示文摘tDiabetic neuropathic pain(DNP)is the most common disabling complication of diabetes.Emerging evi-dence has linked the pathogenesis of DNP to the aberrant sprouting of sensory axons into the epidermal area;however, the underlying molecular events remain poorly understood. Here we found that an axon guidance molecule,Netrin-3(Ntn-3),was expressed in the sensory neurons of mouse dorsal root ganglia(DRGs),and downregulation of Ntn-3 expression was highly correlated with the severity of DNP in a diabetic mouse model.Genetic ablation of Ntn-3 increased the intra-epidermal sprouting of sensory axons and worsened the DNP in diabetic mice.In contrast, the elevation of Ntn-3 levels in DRGs significantly inhibited the intra-epidermal axon sprouting and alleviated DNP in diabetic mice.In con-clusion,our studies identified Ntn-3 as an important regula-tor of DNP pathogenesis by gating the aberrant sprouting of sensory axons, indicating that Ntn-3 is a potential druggable target for DNP treatment. | Weiping Pan Xueyin Huang Zikai Yu Qiongqiong Ding Liping Xia Jianfeng Hua Bokai Gu Qisong Xiong Hualin Yu Junbo Wang Zhenzhong Xu Linghui Zeng Ge Bai Huaqing Liu | 2023 | Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,5: | 0
Differences in vascular endothelial function and serum proteome between obese people with phlegm-dampness constitution and balanced constitution显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the extent of vascular endothelial dysfunction and preliminary identify serum protein biomarkers associated with obese individuals at risk for cardiovascular disease(CVD).METHODS:Fifteen obese volunteers with the phlegmdampness constitution or balanced constitution were recruited for this study respectively. The clinical baseline data was collected, and the vascular endothelial function was evaluated using the EndoPAT?.Blood samples were collected for the serum proteome analysis. The differences in the serum protein expression levels between the two groups were detected and the protein interaction network analysis, correlation analysis, receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis, and random forest model investigation were conducted.RESULTS:There were no statistical differences found in the baseline data. For vascular endothelial function, the reactive hyperemia index(RHI)of the phlegm-dampness constitution obese group was significantly lower than that of the balanced constitution obese group(1.46±0.30 vs 2.82±0.78,P<0.0001),indicating vascular endothelial dysfunction. There are 66 differentially expressed serum proteins between the two groups.apolipoprotein A2(Apo A2),angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE-2),interleukin-33(IL-33),and forkhead box P3(FoxP3)showed significant differences and area under curve values of their ROC curves were greater than 0.7 and correlated significantly with RHI.CONCLUSION:Vascular endothelial dysfunction was present in the phlegm-dampness constitution obese group. Thus, alterations in the expression levels of key serum proteins, including Apo A2,ACE-2,IL-33,and Fox P3 could serve as potential biomarkers in the obese population at risk of CVD. | ZHU Linghui SUN Ziwei GUAN Yuanyuan LIU Meiyi ZHENG Yi YU Ruoxi WANG Qi LI Lingru | 2024 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2024,44,1: | 0
Eddy covariance measurements of turbulent fluxes in the surf zone显示文摘Turbulent eddies play a critical role in oceanic flows. Direct measurements of turbulent eddy fluxes beneath the sea surface were taken to study the direction of flux-carrying eddies as a means of supplementing our understanding of vertical fluxes exchange processes and their relationship to tides. The observations were made at 32 Hz at a water depth of ~1.5 m near the coast of Sanya, China, using an eddy covariance system, which mainly consists of an acoustic doppler velocimeter(ADV) and a fast temperature sensor. The cospectra-fit method-an established semi-empirical model of boundary layer turbulence to the measured turbulent cospectra at frequencies below those of surface gravity waves-was used in the presence of surface gravity waves to quantify the turbulent eddy fluxes(including turbulent heat flux and Reynolds stress). As much as 87% of the total turbulent stress and 88% of the total turbulent heat flux were determined as being at band frequencies below those of surface gravity waves. Both the turbulent heat flux and Reynolds stress showed a daily successive variation;the former peaked during the low tide period and the later peaked during the ebb tide period.Estimation of roll-off wavenumbers, k0, and roll-off wavelengths, λ0(where λ0=2π/k0), which were estimated as the horizontal length scales of the dominant flux-carrying turbulent eddies, indicated that the λ0 of the turbulent heat flux was approximately double that of the Reynolds stress. Wavelet analysis showed that both the turbulent heat flux and the Reynolds stress have a close relationship to the semi-diurnal and diurnal tides, and therefore indicate the energy that is transported from tides to turbulence. | Yongfeng Qi Xiaodong Shang Guiying Chen Linghui Yu | 2020 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,3: | 0
Deep Learning-Based Secure Transmission Strategy with Sensor-Transmission-Computing Linkage for Power Internet of Things显示文摘The automatic collection of power grid situation information, along with real-time multimedia interaction between the front and back ends during the accident handling process, has generated a massive amount of power grid data. While wireless communication offers a convenient channel for grid terminal access and data transmission, it is important to note that the bandwidth of wireless communication is limited. Additionally, the broadcast nature of wireless transmission raises concerns about the potential for unauthorized eavesdropping during data transmission. To address these challenges and achieve reliable, secure, and real-time transmission of power grid data, an intelligent security transmission strategy with sensor-transmission-computing linkage is proposed in this paper. The primary objective of this strategy is to maximize the confidentiality capacity of the system. To tackle this, an optimization problem is formulated, taking into consideration interruption probability and interception probability as constraints. To efficiently solve this optimization problem, a low-complexity algorithm rooted in deep reinforcement learning is designed, which aims to derive a suboptimal solution for the problem at hand. Ultimately, through simulation results, the validity of the proposed strategy in guaranteed communication security, stability, and timeliness is substantiated. The results confirm that the proposed intelligent security transmission strategy significantly contributes to the safeguarding of communication integrity, system stability, and timely data delivery. | Bin Li Linghui Kong Xiangyi Zhang Bochuo Kou Hui Yu Bowen Liu | 2024 | Computers, Materials & Continua2024,78,3: | 0

Coronaviruses RNA interacts with host miR-500a-5p and miR-501-5p to regulate multiple pathways显示文摘The Coronavirus disease is the contagious disease. Clinical manifests vary from no symptoms, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, and even severe acute respiratory distress syndrome and multiple organs failure. Recently, three of new beta-coronaviruses have emerged to cause serious and widespread illness and death, such as the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronaviruses (SARS-CoV), Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronaviruses (MERS-CoV), and 2019-nCoV (the causative pathogen of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The COVID-19 is continuing to spread globally. However, the detailed molecular mechanisms have not yet been fully clarified. Since the similarity of the pathological features among 2019-nCoV, SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV, we could speculate the biological features of current COVID-19 by researching those of MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV. Therefore, we analyzed expression levels of miRNA and mRNA profiles of MERS-CoV, SARS-CoV and 2019-nCoV from five public GEO datasets (Table S1). As a result, we found 16 miRNAs potentially target a group of hub genes clustering together to tune the immune response. Notably, viral RNAs have the ability to sponge miR-500a-5p and miR-501-5p, indicating viral RNAs sequestering these two miRNAs to trigger genes expression and contribute to pathogenesis. We hope this study will pave the way to better understand 2019-nCoV pathogenesis and develop the innovative therapeutics. | Qi Guo Linghui Tan Jiajia Pan Songfang Wu Jiansong Huang Fang Yu Jinghan Wang | 2023 | Genes & Diseases2023,10,2: | 0
Loss of the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme Rad6B disturbs mitochondrial function and cellular homeostasis in mouse skin显示文摘Various factors can induce cell degeneration by altering the phenotype and metabolism of cells.Mitochondria play an essential role in cellular homeostasis and function, rendering aging processes highly associated with mitochondrial function and status.Herein,we describe an aging-prone phenotype of murine skin cells caused by depletion of Rad6B(Ube2b),an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme. In this study, using Masson’s trichrome,we showed that loss of Rad6B causes physiological structure changes in mouse skin with age.In addition,a combination of western blotting experiments, transmission electron microscopy and employment of immunofluorescence staining revealed that depletion of Rad6B was characterized by an abnormal mitochondrial metabolic profile, including decreased mitochondrial biosynthesis and mitochondrial complex activities, increased ROS production and suppressed mitophagy resulting in metabolic disorders.Taken together, these results highlight an important relationship between Rad6B and skin senescence, suggesting that Rad6B plays an indispensable role in maintaining a healthy mitochondrial network and intracellular homeostasis. | LINGHUI YU RONG SHEN YANAN GUO YANXUAN GUO CHEN LI YANFENG SONG DEGUI WANG | 2021 | BIOCELL2021,45,3: | 0
Enhanced thermal isolation in porous thermal barrier coatings by the formation of pore guided thermal-shock cracks显示文摘Pore structure design is an effective strategy to tailor the thermal isolation capability of thermal barrier coatings(TBCs).Pursuing optimal porosity is crucial to balance the requirements of thermal isolation and mechanical reliability since the pore structure shields thermal heat transfer but increases mechanical degradation. In this work,we investigate how thermal heat transfer couples with fracture propagation in porous TBCs by the using thermo-mechanical coupling phase field model for fracture. The simulated results show that cracks induced by thermal shock favor deflection that is sometimes perpendicular to the direction of heat flow. The thermal conductivity degradation by the transverse cracks significantly impedes thermal heat transfer, leads to enhanced reduction of the effective thermal conductivity of TBCs,decreases the average thermal stress of the substrate, and thus decreases the risk of the crack penetrating into the substrate. The numerical results demonstrate that the phase field method fully considering the thermo-mechanical interaction between cracks and pores can be a useful tool to improve the thermal isolation of porous TBCs under extreme thermal shock loadings through pore structure design. | ZHEN Yu WU KaiJin LIU MengQi ZHENG SongLin HE LingHui YU Yin NI Yong | 2023 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,4: | 0
The Wireless Power Transmission on the Wristto-Forehead Path Based on the Body Channel显示文摘The body channel based wireless power transfer(BC-WPT)method utilizes the human body as the medium to transfer power for bioelectronics, which can achieve a lower transmission loss due to its higher conductivity. However, except for the channel length, different on-body loca-tions of the transmitter and receiver also influence the power supply performance. This paper fo-cuses on the wrist-to-forehead path to show the potential of BC-WPT for the brain bioelectronics such as the brain computer interface device. The channel characteristics from 10 MHz to 60 MHz are measured by a vector network analyzer(VNA)and a prototype BC-WPT system with differ-ent copper electrodes and the lowest power loss locates between-22 dB and-33 dB.Furthermore, the minimum path loss limit is simulated in Advanced Design System(ADS)software and the low-est optimum path loss can reach nearly-13 dB.Finally,a rectifier circuit is also built at the receiv-er side to harvest d.c.voltage.The results show that the open-circuit voltage(OCV)can reach 1.75 V with the transmitter of 50Ωoutput impedance supplying 5V_(pp)sine voltage at 60 MHz when adopt-ing 1 cm-diameter circular electrodes. | Cheng Han Linghui Kong Qingya Li Shan Yu Zhiwei Zhang Jingna Mao | 2022 | Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2022,31,1: | 0
