| 1 | Response to paleoatmospheric CO_2 concentration of Solenites vimineus(Phillips)Harris(Ginkgophyta)from the Middle Jurassic of the Yaojie Basin,Gansu Province,China显示文摘Solenites vimineus (Phillips) Harris (Ginkgophyta) specimens with well-preserved cuticles were collected from five different beds in the oil shale member of the Middle Jurassic Yaojie Formation in the Yaojie Basin, Gansu Province, northwestern China. Gross morphology and fine structures of the fossil leaves were studied, and stomatal parameters were analyzed, according to which, the paleoatmospheric CO2 concentration can be deduced as 1512-1896 ppm that would have caused an increase in mean temperature of about 6.5-7.4℃. Carbon isotopes from the fossils indicate that the carbon isotopic discrimination and water use efficiency (WUE) of S. vimineus were raised nearly obtaining the ideal physiologic state in increased CO2 concentrations and temperature conditions, suggesting that S. vimineus records the paleoenvironmental information of the Middle Jurassic Yaojie Basin and can be used for environmental reconstruction. | YAN DeFei SUN BaiNian XIE SanPing LI XiangChuan WEN WenWen | 2009 | Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,12: | 13 |
| 2 | Sticker DNA computer model ——PartⅡ: Application显示文摘Sticker model is one of the basic models in the DNA computer models. This model is coded with sin-gle-double stranded DNA molecules. It has the following advantages that the operations require no strands extension and use no enzymes; What抯 more, the materials are reusable. Therefore, it arouses attention and interest of scientists in many fields. In this paper, we extend and improve the sticker model, which will be definitely beneficial to the construction of DNA computer. This paper is the second part of our series paper, which mainly focuses on the application of sticker model. | 12 | An exceptionally well-preserved herbaceous eudicot from the Early Cretaceous(late Aptian–early Albian)of Northwest China显示文摘A fossil eudicot, Gansufructus saligna gen. et sp. nov., is reported from the Early Cretaceous(late Aptian–early Albian) of the Gansu Province, Northwest China, based on numerous well-preserved axes with attached leaves and infructescences. The leaves are alternate, short petiolate and linear-lanceolate with low rank pinnate to reticulate venation. The infructescences are loose panicles bearing fruits in different stages of maturity, each containing four partly free carpels borne in a whorled arrangement. Each carpel has three to five seeds borne along its ventral margin. The nature of the leaves and axes indicates a terrestrial,herbaceous habit. | 17 | An Improved Gorilla Troops Optimizer Based on Lens Opposition-Based Learning and Adaptive β-Hill Climbing for Global Optimization显示文摘Gorilla troops optimizer(GTO)is a newly developed meta-heuristic algorithm,which is inspired by the collective lifestyle and social intelligence of gorillas.Similar to othermetaheuristics,the convergence accuracy and stability of GTOwill deterioratewhen the optimization problems to be solved becomemore complex and flexible.To overcome these defects and achieve better performance,this paper proposes an improved gorilla troops optimizer(IGTO).First,Circle chaotic mapping is introduced to initialize the positions of gorillas,which facilitates the population diversity and establishes a good foundation for global search.Then,in order to avoid getting trapped in the local optimum,the lens opposition-based learning mechanism is adopted to expand the search ranges.Besides,a novel local search-based algorithm,namely adaptiveβ-hill climbing,is amalgamated with GTO to increase the final solution precision.Attributed to three improvements,the exploration and exploitation capabilities of the basic GTOare greatly enhanced.The performance of the proposed algorithm is comprehensively evaluated and analyzed on 19 classical benchmark functions.The numerical and statistical results demonstrate that IGTO can provide better solution quality,local optimumavoidance,and robustness compared with the basic GTOand five other wellknown algorithms.Moreover,the applicability of IGTOis further proved through resolving four engineering design problems and training multilayer perceptron.The experimental results suggest that IGTO exhibits remarkable competitive performance and promising prospects in real-world tasks. | Yaning Xiao Xue Sun Yanling Guo Sanping Li Yapeng Zhang Yangwei Wang | 2022 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,5: | 0 |
| 18 | A New Species of Rhodoleia(Hamamelidaceae) from the Upper Pliocene of West Yunnan, China and Comments on Phytogeography and Insect Herbivory显示文摘In Europe, fossil fruits and seeds of Rhodoleia(Hamamelidaceae) have been described from the Upper Cretaceous to the Miocene, whereas no fossil record of Rhodoleia has been reported in Asia, where the modern species occur.Herein, 21 fossil leaves identified as Rhodoleia tengchongensis sp.nov.are described from the Upper Pliocene of Tengchong County, Yunnan Province, Southwest China.The fossils exhibit elliptic lamina with entire margins, simple brochidodromous major secondary veins, mixed percurrent intercostal tertiary veins, and looped exterior tertiaries.The leaf cuticle is characterized by pentagonal or hexagonal cells, stellate multicellular trichomes, and paracytic stomata.The combination of leaf architecture and cuticular characteristics suggests that the fossil leaves should be classified into the genus Rhodoleia.The fossil distributions indicate that the genus Rhodoleia might originate from Central Europe, and that migrated to Asia prior to the Late Pliocene.Additionally, insect damage is investigated, and different types of damage, such as hole feeding, margin feeding, surface feeding, and galling, are observed on the thirteen fossil leaves.Based on the damage frequencies for the fossil and extant leaves, the specific feeding behavior of insects on Rhodoleia trees appears to have been established as early as the Late Pliocene.The high occurrence of Rhodoleia insect herbivory may attract the insect-foraging birds, thereby increasing the probability of pollination. | WU Jingyu ZHAO Zhenrui LI Qijia LIU Yusheng(Christopher) XIE Sanping DING Suting SUN Bainian | 2015 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2015,89,5: | 0 |
| 19 | Late Miocene Pods and Leaves of Albizzia (Leguminosae:Mimosoideae) from Yunnan,SW China and Their Phytogeographic Implications显示文摘Albizzia is a leguminous genus belonging to the subfamily Mimosoideae with approximately150 modern species,widely distributed in the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia,Africa,Australia and America.Among them,17 species are mainly distributed in southern and southwestern China.Abundant fossils of the subfamily Mimosoideae,including leaves,pods,flowers and wood,have been reported from the Cretaceous and Paleogene strata of the Northern Hemisphere.However,Neogene records of Mimosoideae are relatively scarce.In this study,fossil pods and leaves belonging to the genus Albizzia from the Bangmai Formation of Yunnan,China were described.They were assigned to three species,including Albizzia scalpelliformis Guo,Li and Xie Emended,Albizzia cf.kalkora(Roxb.)
