1Preliminary Study on Production Performance of Different Varieties of Forage Mulberry显示文摘A comparative study was conducted on four mulberry( Morus alba) varieties( lines) in Hunan dry land from the aspects of production performance,nutritional composition and amino acids content. The result showed that the four mulberry varieties all adjusted well to soil,climate and other natural conditions in Hunan province,presenting good growth. The dry matter content of four varieties( lines) was above 25% and the crude protein content was more than 22%. Although the crude protein and total amino acid content of four mulberry varieties were lower than that of soybean powder,the proportion of various amino acids tended to be consistent,so mulberry leaf was very comprehensive in nutrition as an animal feed. Yuesang 11 had the highest fresh yield and crude protein of 14. 28 t / hm^2 and23. 22% respectively; Guisangyou 12 had the highest total amino acid content of 19. 58%. 2Redesigning transcription factor Cre1 for alleviating carbon catabolite repression in Trichoderma reesei显示文摘Carbon catabolite repression(CCR),which is mainly mediated by Cre1 and triggered by glucose,leads to a decrease in cellulase production in Trichoderma reesei.Many studies have focused on modifying Cre1 for alleviating CCR.Based on the homologous alignment of CreA from wild-type Penicillium oxalicum 114–2(Po-0)and cellulase hyperproducer JUA10-1(Po-1),we constructed a C-terminus substitution strain—Po-2—with decreased transcriptional levels of cellulase and enhanced CCR.Results revealed that the C-terminal domain of CreAPo−1 plays an important role in alleviating CCR.Furthermore,we replaced the C-terminus of Cre1 with that of CreAPo−1 in T.reesei(Tr-0)and generated Tr-1.As a control,the C-terminus of Cre1 was truncated and Tr-2 was generated.The transcriptional profiles of these transformants revealed that the C-terminal chimera greatly improves cellulase transcription in the presence of glucose and thus upregulates cellulase in the presence of glucose and weakens CCR,consistent with truncating the C-terminus of Cre1 in Tr-0.Therefore,we propose constructing a C-terminal chimera as a new strategy to improve cellulase production and alleviate CCR in the presence of glucose.Lijuan Han Kuimei Liu Wei Ma Yi Jiang Shaoli Hou Yinshuang Tan Quanquan Yuan Kangle Niu Xu Fang 2020Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2020,5,3:0
3Feasibility of feeding cadmium accumulator maize(Zea mays L.)to beef cattle:Discovering a strategy for eliminating phytoremediation residues显示文摘Eco-friendly and efficient strategies for eliminating cadmium(Cd)phytoremediation plant residues are needed.The present study investigated the feasibility of feeding Cd accumulator maize to beef cattle.In total,20 cattle at 6 months of age were selected and randomly allocated into two groups fed with 85.82%(fresh basis)Cd accumulator maize(CAM)or normal maize(control[Con])silage diets for 107 d.Feeding CAM did not affect the body weight(P=0.24),while it decreased feed intake and increased feed efficiency of beef cattle(P<0.01).Feeding CAM increased serum concentrations of immunoglobulin A and G,complement 3 and 4,blood urea nitrogen,and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,decreased serum concentrations of interleukin-6 and lipopolysaccharide(P<0.05),and caused wider lumens in the renal tubules.The Cd residue in meat was 7 mg/kg beyond the restriction for human food.In the muscle,the unsaturated fatty acids(t11C18:1 and C20:4),Lys,Arg,Pro,and Cys were decreased,while the saturated fatty acids(C10:0,C12:0,and C17:0)and Leu were increased(P<0.05).Therefore,at the current feeding level,phytoremediation maize increased the feed efficiency of beef cattle,but did present risks to cattle health and production safety,and decreased the meat nutrition and flavor.Further research must be performed to determine whether a lower proper dose of phytoremediation maize and an appropriate feeding period may be possible to ensure no risk to cattle health and the supply of safe meat for humans.Zebang Xu Bin Yang Kangle Yi Tianrong Chen Xinxin Xu Ao Sun Haobang Li Jianbo Li Fang He Cheng Huan Yang Luo Jiakun Wang 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,4:0
