| 2 | Effects of Tempering Temperature and Mo/Ni on Microstructures and Properties of Lath Martensitic Wear-Resistant Steels显示文摘The tempering behavior was experimentally studied in lath martensitic wear-resistant steels with various Mo/Ni contents after tempering at different temperatures from 200to 600℃.It is shown that a good combination of hardness(HV)(420-450)and-20℃impact toughness(38-70J)can be obtained after quenching and tempering at 200-250 ℃.The microstructure at this temperature is lath structure with rod-like and/or flake-likeε-carbide with about 10nm in width and 100nm in length in the matrix,and the fracture mechanism is quasi-cleavage fracture combining with ductile fracture.Tempering at temperature from 300to 400℃results in the primary quasi-cleavagefracture due to the carbide transformation from resolved retained austenite and impurity segregation between laths or blocks.However,when the tempering temperature is higher than 500℃,the hardness(HV)is lower than 330 and the fracture mechanism changes to ductile fracture due to the spheroidization and coarsening of cementite.Additions of Mo and Ni have no significant effects on the carbides morphologies at low tempering temperatures,but improve the resistance to softening and embrittling for steels when tempered at above 350℃. | CAO Yi WANG Zhao-dong KANG Jian WU Di WANG Guo-dong | 2013 | Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2013,20,4: | 13 |
| 3 | Regression model to estimate flood impact on corn yield using MODIS NDVI and USDA cropland data layer显示文摘Flood events and their impact on crops are extremely significant scientific research issues; however,flood monitoring is an exceedingly complicated process. Flood damages on crops are directly related to yield change,which requires accurate assessment to quantify the damages. Various remote sensing products and indices have been used in the past for this purpose. This paper utilizes the moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS) weekly normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI) product to detect and further quantify flood damages on corn within the major corn producing states in the Midwest region of the US. County-level analyses were performed by taking weighted average of all pure corn pixels(>90%) masked by the United States Department of Agriculture(USDA) Cropland Data Layer(CDL). The NDVI-based time-series difference between flood years and normal year(median of years 2000–2014) was used to detect flood occurrences. To further measure the impact of the flood on corn yield,regression analysis between change in NDVI and change in corn yield as independent and dependent variables respectively was performed for 30 different flooding events within growing seasons of the corn. With the R2 value of 0.85,the model indicates statistically significant linear relation between the NDVI and corn yield. Testing the predictability of the model with 10 new cases,the average relative error of the model was only 4.47%. Furthermore,small error(4.8%) of leave-one-out cross validation(LOOCV) along with smaller statistical error indicators(root mean square error(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),and mean bias error(MBE)),further validated the accuracy of the model. Utilizing the linear regression approach,change in NDVI during the growing season of corn appeared to be a good indicator to quantify the yield loss due to flood. | 6 | Uncertainty-optimized deep learning model for small-scale person re-identification显示文摘In recent years, deep learning has developed rapidly and is widely used in various fields, such as computer vision, speech recognition, and natural language processing. For end-to-end person re-identification,most deep learning methods rely on large-scale datasets. Relatively few methods work with small-scale datasets. Insufficient training samples will affect neural network accuracy significantly. This problem limits the practical application of person re-identification. For small-scale person re-identification, the uncertainty of person representation and the overfitting problem associated with deep learning remain to be solved.Quantifying the uncertainty is difficult owing to complex network structures and the large number of hyperparameters. In this study, we consider the uncertainty of pedestrian representation for small-scale person re-identification. To reduce the impact of uncertain person representations, we transform parameters into distributions and conduct multiple sampling by using multilevel dropout in a testing process. We design an improved Monte Carlo strategy that considers both the average distance and shortest distance for matching and ranking. | 8 | Surface Temperature Change of U75V 60 kg/m Heavy Rail During Heat Treatment显示文摘The U75V 60 kg/m heavy rail samples were heated to 900 ℃ in a resistance furnace for a fixed duration of 50 min. Under this condition, the samples were austenitized totally. Then, the samples were dragged out of furnace and cooled for 25 s in the open air. After that, the samples entered into the air spraying channel, and were cooled from the top and both sides by compressed air. During this period, main technical parameters were changed such as the distance between spray nozzles and surface of rail head, air pressure, air spraying time and air temperature. So under laboratory condition, optimal heat-treating parameters of U75V 60 kg/m heavy rail were determined as the distance between spray nozzles and surface of rail head of 15 mm, air pressure of 0.26 MPa, cooling time of 80 s, and air temperature of 28 ℃. The surface temperature at different positions of heavy rail was measured before and after heat treatment, and the temperature changing law was determined. The self tempering occurred on the surface of rail head after heat treatment, and the tempering temperature became the largest (about 3 min) after heat treatment, separately 528, 524 and 536 ℃ at the center, top fillet and bottom fillet of rail head. | 9 | Effect of competition on spatial patterns of oak forests on the Chinese Loess Plateau显示文摘Reforestation or natural forest regeneration is an alternative measure for controlling soil erosion in degraded land on the Chinese Loess Plateau(CLP). However, our understanding of the temporal dynamics and the spatial patterns of forest regeneration remains inadequate. Two oak forests at different development stages were investigated to determine the spatial patterns of competitions(intraspecies and interspecies) during different successional stages. The intraspecies and interspecies spatial relationships among different tree diameters at breast height were analyzed at multiple scales by Kriging interpolation method and univariate and bivariate O-ring statistics. Our analytical results indicated that self-correlation and competition intensity were relatively high between oak and pine trees in the early development stage of oak forests due to their clumped distributions of heavy seeds. Birch trees had a lower competition in comparison to oak trees although birch was the dominant species. Therefore, asymmetric competition of oak trees was most likely to have led to their edge dispersal and their success in replacing the pioneer species. Asymmetric competition means that larger individuals obtained a disproportionately large share of the resources and suppressed the growth of smaller individuals. Kriging interpolation analysis showed a tendency towards homogenization caused by interspecies competition during the succession of oak forests. | 11 | RF-CLASS: A remote-sensing-based flood crop loss assessment cyber-service system for supporting crop statistics and insurance decision-making显示文摘Floods often cause significant crop loss in the United States. Timely and objective information on flood-related crop loss,such as flooded acreage and degree of crop damage,is very important for crop monitoring and risk management in agricultural and disaster-related decision-making at many concerned agencies. Currently concerned agencies mostly rely on field surveys to obtain crop loss information and compensate farmers' loss claim. Such methods are expensive,labor intensive,and time consumptive,especially for a large flood that affects a large geographic area. The results from such methods suffer from inaccuracy,subjectiveness,untimeliness,and lack of reproducibility. Recent studies have demonstrated that Earth observation(EO) data could be used in post-flood crop loss assessment for a large geographic area objectively,timely,accurately,and cost effectively. However,there is no operational decision support system,which employs such EO-based data and algorithms for operational flood-related crop decision-making. This paper describes the development of an EO-based flood crop loss assessment cyber-service system,RF-CLASS,for supporting flood-related crop statistics and insurance decision-making. Based on the service-orientated architecture,RF-CLASS has been implemented with open interoperability specifications to facilitate the interoperability with EO data systems,particularly the National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA) Earth Observing System Data and Information System(EOSDIS),for automatically fetching the input data from the data systems. Validated EO algorithms have been implemented as web services in the system to operationally produce a set of flood-related products from EO data,such as flood frequency,flooded acreage,and degree of crop damage,for supporting decision-making in flood statistics and flood crop insurance policy. The system leverages recent advances in the remote sensing-based flood monitoring and assessment,the near-real-time availability of EO data,the service-oriented architecture,geospatial interoperability standards,and the standard-based geospatial web service technology. The prototypical system has automatically generated the flood crop loss products and demonstrated the feasibility of using such products to improve the agricultural decision-making. | 14 | Effect of Air Pressure on Hardened Layer of U75V 60 kg/m Heavy Rail after Heat Treatment显示文摘The samples cut from U75V 60 kg/m heavy rail are heated to 900 ℃ in resistance furnace and then put into air spraying channel to be cooled for 80 s, and change air pressure from 0.16 MPa to 0.33 MPa, and observe the effect of air pressure on hardened layer. The thickness and hardness of hardened layer increases with the increase of air pressure, and the thickness is more than 24 mm at the center and top fillets of rail head, and more than 15 mm at the blow fillets of rail head when air pressure is more than 0.26 MPa. During the tempering after heat treatment, tempering temperature of rail head is more than 570 ℃ when air pressure is separately 0.16 MPa, 0.20 MPa and 0.23 MPa, which is higher than finishing temperature of pearlite transformation at the cooling rate of 3 ℃/s according to CCT curve of U75V steel. When air pressure is separately 0.26, 0.30 and 0.33 MPa, the tempering temperature is 529 ℃ lower than finishing temperature of pearlite transformation at the cooling rate of 3 ℃/s. | 18 | S100 calcium binding protein A6 and associated long noncoding ribonucleic acids as biomarkers in the diagnosis and staging of primary biliary cholangitis显示文摘BACKGROUND Primary biliary cholangitis(PBC)is a chronic and slowly progressing cholestatic disease,which causes damage to the small intrahepatic bile duct by immunoregulation,and may lead to cholestasis,liver fibrosis,cirrhosis and,eventually,liver failure.AIM To explore the potential diagnosis and staging value of plasma S100 calcium binding protein A6(S100A6)messenger ribonucleic acid(mRNA),LINC00312,LINC00472,and LINC01257 in primary biliary cholangitis.METHODS A total of 145 PBC patients and 110 healthy controls(HCs)were enrolled.Among them,80 PBC patients and 60 HCs were used as the training set,and 65 PBC patients and 50 HCs were used as the validation set.The relative expression levels of plasma S100A6 mRNA,long noncoding ribonucleic acids LINC00312,LINC00472 and LINC01257 were analyzed using quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction.The bile duct ligation(BDL)mouse model was used to simulate PBC.Then double immunofluorescence was conducted to verify the overexpression of S100A6 protein in intrahepatic bile duct cells of BDL mice.Human intrahepatic biliary epithelial cells were treated with glycochenodeoxycholate to simulate the cholestatic environment of intrahepatic biliary epithelial cells in PBC.RESULTS The expression of S100A6 protein in intrahepatic bile duct cells was up-regulated in the BDL mouse model compared with sham mice.The relative expression levels of plasma S100A6 mRNA,log10 LINC00472 and LINC01257 were upregulated while LINC00312 was down-regulated in plasma of PBC patients compared with HCs(3.01±1.04 vs 2.09±0.87,P<0.0001;2.46±1.03 vs 1.77±0.84,P<0.0001;3.49±1.64 vs 2.37±0.96,P<0.0001;1.70±0.33 vs 2.07±0.53,P<0.0001,respectively).The relative expression levels of S100A6 mRNA,LINC00472 and LINC01257 were up-regulated and LINC00312 was down-regulated in human intrahepatic biliary epithelial cells treated with glycochenodeoxycholate compared with control(2.97±0.43 vs 1.09±0.08,P=0.0018;2.70±0.26 vs 1.10±0.10,P=0.0006;2.23±0.21 vs 1.10±0.10,P=0.0011;1.20±0.04 vs 3.03±0.15,P<0.0001,respectively).The mean expression of S100A6 in the advanced stage(III and IV)of PBC was up-regulated compared to that in HCs and the early stage(II)(3.38±0.71 vs 2.09±0.87,P<0.0001;3.38±0.71 vs 2.57±1.21,P=0.0003,respectively);and in the early stage(II),it was higher than that in HCs(2.57±1.21 vs 2.09±0.87,P=0.03).The mean expression of LINC00312 in the advanced stage was lower than that in the early stage and HCs(1.39±0.29 vs 1.56±0.33,P=0.01;1.39±0.29 vs 2.07±0.53,P<0.0001,respectively);in addition,the mean expression of LINC00312 in the early stage was lower than that in HCs(1.56±0.33 vs 2.07±0.53,P<0.0001).The mean expression of log10 LINC00472 in the advanced stage was higher than those in the early stage and HCs(2.99±0.87 vs 1.81±0.83,P<0.0001;2.99±0.87 vs 1.77±0.84,P<0.0001,respectively).The mean expression of LINC01257 in both the early stage and advanced stage were up-regulated compared with HCs(3.88±1.55 vs 2.37±0.96,P<0.0001;3.57±1.79 vs 2.37±0.96,P<0.0001,respectively).The areas under the curves(AUC)for S100A6,LINC00312,log10 LINC00472 and LINC01257 in PBC diagnosis were 0.759,0.7292,0.6942 and 0.7158,respectively.Furthermore,the AUC for these four genes in PBC staging were 0.666,0.661,0.839 and 0.5549,respectively.The expression levels of S100A6 mRNA,log10 LINC00472,and LINC01257 in plasma of PBC patients were decreased(2.35±1.02 vs 3.06±1.04,P=0.0018;1.99±0.83 vs 2.33±0.96,P=0.036;2.84±0.92 vs 3.69±1.54,P=0.0006),and the expression level of LINC00312 was increased(1.95±0.35 vs 1.73±0.32,P=0.0007)after treatment compared with before treatment using the paired t-test.Relative expression of S100A6 mRNA was positively correlated with log10 LINC00472(r=0.683,P<0.0001);serum level of collagen type IV was positively correlated with the relative expression of log10 LINC00472(r=0.482,P<0.0001);relative expression of S100A6 mRNA was positively correlated with the serum level of collagen type IV(r=0.732,P<0.0001).The AUC for the four biomarkers obtained in the validation set were close to the training set.CONCLUSION These four genes may potentially act as novel biomarkers for the diagnosis of PBC.Moreover,LINC00472 acts as a potential biomarker for staging in PBC. | Xi-Hua Dong Di Dai Zhi-Dong Yang Xiao-Ou Yu Hua Li Hui Kang | 2021 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2021,27,17: | 2 |
| 19 | ISG20 inhibits bluetongue virus replication显示文摘ISG20 is an interferon-inducible exonuclease that inhibits virus replication.Although ISG20 is thought to degrade viral RNA,the antiviral mechanism and specificity of ISG20 remain unclear.In this study,the antiviral role of ovine ISG20(o ISG20)in bluetongue virus(BTV)infection was investigated.It was found that BTV infection upregulated the transcription of ovine ISG20(o ISG20)in a time-and BTV multiplicity of infection(MOI)-dependent manner.Overexpression of o ISG20 suppressed the production of BTV genome,proteins,and virus titer,whereas the knockdown of o ISG20 increased viral replication.o ISG20 was found to co-localize with BTV proteins VP4,VP5,VP6,and NS2,but only directly interacted with VP4.Exonuclease defective o ISG20 significantly decreased the inhibitory effect on BTV replication.In addition,the interaction of mutant o ISG20 and VP4 was weakened,suggesting that binding to VP4 was associated with the inhibition of BTV replication.The present data characterized the anti-BTV effect of o ISG20,and provides a novel clue for further exploring the inhibition mechanism of double-stranded RNA virus by ISG20. | Di Kang Shandian Gao Zhancheng Tian Guorui Zhang Guiquan Guan Guangyuan Liu Jianxun Luo Junzheng Du Hong Yin | 2022 | Virologica Sinica2022,37,4: | 2 |
