1Finite element simulation and experimental test of the wear behavior for self-lubricating spherical plain bearings显示文摘In this study, based on the classical Archard adhesion wear theory, a three-dimensional finite element model was established, with the aim of simulating the failure process of self-lubricating spherical plain bearings in the swinging wear condition. The results show that the self-lubricating spherical plain bearings go through two different stages during the wear process, namely, initial wear stage and stable wear stage. Because the large contact points wear out during the initial wear stage, the maximum contact pressure decreases as the test period increases. The relatively larger wear depth region shows elliptical distribution, and the maximum distribution appears in the central contact area. The wear depth reaches 0.974 mm after swinging 25,000 times. PTFE fibers, which possess a good friction performance but poor abrasion resistance, abundantly exist on the friction surfaces of the fabric liner. Consequently, the friction torque during the initial wear stage is slightly smaller than the friction torque during the stable wear stage; however, the wear rate during the initial wear stage is high. The reliability and effectiveness of the finite element model are verified by experiment. 8Preparation and characterization of MgO hybrid biochar and its mechanism for high efficient recovery of phosphorus from aqueous media显示文摘Conversion of organic waste into engineered metal-biochar composite is an effective way of enhancing biochar’s efficiency for adsorptive capture of phosphorus(P)from aqueous media.Thus,various strategies have been created for the production of metal-biochar composites;however,the complex preparation steps,high-cost metal salt reagent application,or extreme process equipment requirements involved in those strategies limited the large-scale production of metal-biochar composites.In this study,a novel biochar composite rich in magnesium oxides(MFBC)was directly produced through co-pyrolysis of magnesite with food waste;the product,MFBC was used to adsorptively capture P from solution and bio-liquid wastewater.The results showed that compared to the pristine food waste biochar,MFBC was a uniformly hybrid MgO biochar composite with a P capture capacity of 523.91 mg/g.The capture of P by MFBC was fitted using the Langmuir and pseudo-first-order kinetic models.The P adsorptive capture was controlled by MgHPO4 formation and electrostatic attraction,which was affected by the coexisting F−and CO_(3)^(2−)ions.MFBC could recover more than 98%of P from the solution and bio-liquid wastewater.Although the P-adsorbed MFBC showed very limited reusability but it can be substituted for phosphate fertiliser in agricultural practices.This study provided an innovative technology for preparing MgO-biochar composite against P recovery from aqueous media,and also highlighted high-value-added approaches for resource utilization of bio-liquid wastewater and food waste.Yueru Fang Amjad Ali Yuxi Gao Peng Zhao Ronghua Li Xianxian Li Junxi Liu Yuan Luo Yaru Peng Hailong Wang Hongbin Liu Zengqiang Zhang Junting Pan 2022Biochar2022,4,1:0
9Antibacterial Effect of Herba paederiae and Kalimeris indica (L.) Sch.-Bip Combined with Antibiotics显示文摘[Objective] To observe the in-vitro antibacterial activity of Herba paederiae and Kalimeris indica (L.) Sch.-Bip and their antibacterial effect when being used with commonly used antibiotics. [Method] Staphylococcus aureus CMCC29178 and Escherichia coli ATCC25922 reference strains were used for the determination of minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) and fractional inhibitory concentration (FIC) index using the broth microdilution method. [Result] The aqueous extracts of Herba paederiae and Kalimeris indica (L.) Sch.-Bip had certain antibacterial effects on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Synergistic effects or additive effects at different degrees were observed when they were applied with the commonly used antibiotics.
