1Novel Flow Field with Superhydrophobic Gas Channels Prepared by One-step Solvent-induced Crystallization for Micro Direct Methanol Fuel Cell显示文摘The CO2-induced capillary blocking in anode flow field is one of the key adverse factors to reduce the performance of a micro-direct methanol fuel cell(l DMFC). In order to solve this problem, new polycarbonate(PC) flow field plates with nested arrangement of hydrophilic fuel channels and superhydrophobic gas channels were designed,fabricated, and tested in this work. The gas channels were treated with solvent-induced crystallization using acetone solution. The superhydrophobicity with 160° water contact angle and 2° tilting angle was obtained on the PC substrates. A dummy cell using hydrogen peroxide decomposition reaction and a test loop were separately set up to evaluate the flow fields' performance. It was found that a 37 % pressure drop decrease can be obtained in the new serpentine flow field compared with that of the conventional one. The benefit of the new flow field to remove gas bubbles was also confirmed by an in situ visualization study on the dummy cell. 2Simple hybrid dithiafulvenes-triphenylamine systems as dopant-free hole-transporting materials for efficient perovskite solar cells显示文摘Two extended hybrid conjugated systems based on a triphenylamine(TPA) core with two and three peripheral 1,4-dithiafulvenes(DTF) units coded WH-2 and WH-3 as hole-transporting materials(HTMs) applied in perovskite solar cells(PSCs) are synthesized by facile one-step reaction in good yield over 75%. DTF unit as electron donor can enhance the electron donating ability and the fusion of benzenic ring of TPA with DTF unit may lead to reinforced intermolecular interactions in the solid state. In addition,WH-2 and WH-3 exhibit a pyramid shape containing partial planarity and quasi three-dimensionality features, which is also conducive to enhancing the π-π stacking of molecules in the solid state. The above-mentioned structural characteristics make the two HTMs have good hole mobilities. As a result,WH-2 and WH-3 obtained the high intrinsic hole mobilities of 4.69 × 10^(-4)and 2.18 × 10^(-3)cm^(2)V^(-1)s^(-1)respectively. 3Phase-mediated cobalt phosphide with unique core-shell architecture serving as efficient and bifunctional electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution and oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)have been considered as two critical processes in the field of electrocatalytic water-splitting for hydrogen production and fuel cells.However,the sluggish reaction kinetics of HER and ORR required efficient electrocatalyst such as Pt to promote such process.Transition metal phosphides(TMPs)exhibit great potential to replace noble metal electrocatalysts to accelerate HER and ORR due to their high activity and easy availability.Herein,a highly-efficient bifunctional CoP electrocatalyst for HER and ORR,featuring a unique core-shell structure decorated on nitrogen-doped carbon matrix was designed and constructed via etching a cobalt-based zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF-67)with phytic acid(PA)followed by pyrolysis treatment(PA-ZIF-67-900).Experimental results revealed that the pure-phase single-crystalline Co P exhibited outstanding electrocatalytic performance in HER and ORR,superior to Co(PO_(3))_(2) in PA-ZIF-67-700,hybrid phase of Co(PO_(3))_(2) and CoP in PA-ZIF-67-800 and Co_(2)P-doped CoP in PA-ZIF-67-1000.To reach the current density of 10 mA/cm^(2)the as-synthesized Co P required an overpotential of 120 m V for HER in 1 mol/L KOH and half-wave potential of 0.85 V in O_(2)-saturated 0.1 mol/L KOH.This work present new clue for construction of efficient and bifunctional electrocatalyst in the field of energy conversion and storage.Junsheng Chen Jianfeng Huang Hai Wang Weihang Feng Tianmi Luo Yuzhu Hu Chengke Yuan Liyun Cao Yanni Jie Koji Kajiyoshi Yongqiang Feng 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,8:0
4Facile synthesis of defect-rich Fe-N-C hybrid from fullerene/ferrotetraphenylporphyrin as efficient oxygen reduction electrocatalyst for Zn-air battery显示文摘Exploring remarkable oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalysts for regenerative fuel cells and metal-air batteries is highly essential.Herein,a novel non-noble metal-based heterogeneous electrocatalyst with rich defects were successfully synthesized by liquid-liquid interfacial precipitation(LLIP)of fullerene(C_(60))and ferrotetraphenylporphyrin(FeTPP)followed by one step pyrolysis.The obtained product annealed at 700℃(C_(60)/FeTPP-700),when employed as ORR electrocatalyst,revealed a positive halfwave potential(E_(1/2))of 0.877 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE),which was superior to that of the commercial 25%Pt/C.Delightfully,the assembled Zn-air battery(ZAB)using C_(60)/FeTPP-700 as an air-electrode catalyst exhibited a high power density of 153 m W/cm^(2),specific capacity of 668 mAh/g and long-term cycling stability for more than 250 h.Experimental results proved that the excellent electrocatalytic ORR activity of C_(60)/FeTPP-700 would attribute to the synergistic effect between FeN_xsites,Fe_(3)C/Fe nanoparticles and the structure defects.This work provides a feasible and simple method to prepare nonnoble metal-based ORR electrocatalysts for the application of energy storage and conversion.Hai Wang Liyun Cao Yongqiang Feng Junsheng Chen Weihang Feng Tianmi Luo Yuzhu Hu Chengke Yuan Yajuan Zhao Yong Zhao Koji Kajiyoshi Yijun Liu Zhenjiang Li Jianfeng Huang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,5:0
5The effect ofthe leptin and its receptorexpression in CRF rat by the Reinforcing Kidney and Exhausting ToxinMixture显示文摘Objective:To investigate the adjusting malnutrition mechanism by the Reinforcing Kidney and Exhausting Toxic Mixture(REM)on the chronic renal failure (CRF) rat.Methods:60 wistar rats weved ivided into 3 groups randomly :the normal controc group(group Ⅰ),CRF group(group Ⅱ),and CRF rat perfusingwithREM group(group Ⅲ). Taking theirfat,kidneytissuefor detecting the protein expression of the leptin,leptin receptor(Ob-R) by the means ofimmunohistochemistry.Result:Comparing with control group, the leptinprotein express intensely in CRF rat ; In kidney tissue,the ob-R express weakly. After perfusing the REM ,comparing with CRF groupthe renal ob-R express strongly than CRF group. 6Chelation of lithium ion with crown ether for eliminating adverse effects caused by Li-TFSI/tBP doping system in Spiro-OMeTAD显示文摘Lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide(Li-TFSI)/4-tert-butylpyridine(tBP)is a classic doping system for the hole transport material Spiro-OMeTAD in typical n-i-p structure perovskite solar cells(PSCs),but this system will cause many problems such as high hygroscopicity,Li+migration,pinholes and so on,which hinder PSC from maintaining high efficiency and stability for long-term.In this work,an effective strategy is demonstrated to improve the performance and stability of PSC by replacing t BP with 12-crown-4.The chelation of 12-crown-4 with Li+not only improves the doping effect of Li-TFSI,but also perfectly solves the problems caused by the Li-TFSI/tBP system.The PSC based on this strategy achieved a champion power conversion efficiency(PCE)over 21%,which is significantly better than the pristine device(19.37%).More importantly,the without encapsulated device based on Li-TFSI/12-crown-4 still maintains 87%of the initial PCE even after 60 days exposure in air,while the pristine device only maintains 22%of the initial PCE under the same aging conditions.This strategy paves a novel way for constructing efficient and stable PSCs.Zhongquan Wan Hui Lu Jinyu Yang Yunpeng Zhang Fangyan Lin Jianxing Xia Xiaojun Yao Junsheng Luo Chunyang Jia 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,11:0
7The grassland carbon cycle:Mechanisms,responses to global changes,and potential contribution to carbon neutrality显示文摘Grassland is one of the largest terrestrial biomes,providing critical ecosystem services such as food production,biodiversity conservation,and climate change mitigation.Global climate change and land-use intensification have been causing grassland degradation and desertification worldwide.As one of the primary medium for ecosystem energy flow and biogeochemical cycling,grassland carbon(C)cycling is the most fundamental process for maintaining ecosystem services.In this review,we first summarize recent advances in our understanding of the mechanisms underpinning spatial and temporal patterns of the grassland C cycle,discuss the importance of grasslands in regulating inter-and intra-annual variations in global C fluxes,and explore the previously unappreciated complexity in abiotic processes controlling the grassland C balance,including soil inorganic C accumulation,photochemical and thermal degradation,and wind erosion.We also discuss how climate and land-use changes could alter the grassland C balance by modifying the water budget,nutrient cycling and additional plant and soil processes.Further,we examine why and how increasing aridity and improper land use may induce significant losses in grassland C stocks.Finally,we identify several priorities for future grassland C research,including improving understanding of abiotic processes in the grassland C cycle,strengthening monitoring of grassland C dynamics by integrating ground inventory,flux monitoring,and modern remote sensing techniques,and selecting appropriate plant species combinations with suitable traits and strong resistance to climate fluctuations,which would help design sustainable grassland restoration strategies in a changing climate.Lingli Liu Emma J.Sayer Meifeng Deng Ping Li Weixing Liu Xin Wang Sen Yang Junsheng Huang Jie Luo Yanjun Su JoséM.Grünzweig Lin Jiang Shuijin Hu Shilong Piao 2023Fundamental Research2023,3,2:0
