1Low-temperature Synthesis of Large-area Films of Molybdenum Trioxide Microbelts in Air and the Dependence of Their Field Emission Performance on Growth Conditions显示文摘A simple method is introduced for the preparation of large-area films of molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) microbelts. It is found that such films can be grown on indium tin oxide (ITO) glasses or silicon substrates at low temperatures by thermal evaporation deposition in air without using catalyst. Field emission measurements show that the turn-on field of the MoO3 microbelts is as low as 2.2 V/μm required to obtain a current density of 10 μA/cm2. 3Engineering three-layer core–shell S-1/TS-1@dendritic-SiO_(2) supported Au catalysts towards improved performance for propene epoxidation with H_(2) and O_(2)显示文摘The advocacy of green chemical industry has led to the development of highly efficient catalysts for direct gas-phase propene epoxidation with green,sustainable and simple essence.The S-1/TS-1@dendritic-SiO_(2) material with three-layer core–shell structure was developed and used as the support for Au catalysts,which showed simultaneously fantastic PO formation rate,PO selectivity and stability(over 100 h)for propene epoxidation with H_(2) and O_(2).It is found that silicalite-1(S-1)core and the middle thin layer of TS-1 offer great mass transfer ability,which could be responsible for the excellent stability.The designed dendritic SiO_(2) shell covers part of the acid sites on the external surface of TS-1,inhibiting the side reactions and improving the PO selectivity.Furthermore,three kinds of SiO_(2) shell morphologies(i.e.,dendritic,net,mesoporous shell)were designed,and relationship between shell morphology and catalytic performance was elucidated.The results in this paper harbour tremendous guiding significance for the design of highly efficient epoxidation catalysts.Zhaoning Song Juncong Yuan Zhenping Cai Dong Lin Xiang Feng Nan Sheng Yibin Liu Xiaobo Chen Xin Jin De Chen Chaohe Yang 2020Green Energy & Environment2020,5,4:3

5Molybdenum Nanoscrews:A Novel Non-coinage-Metal Substrate for Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering显示文摘For the first time, Mo nanoscrew was cultivated as a novel non-coinage-metal substrate for surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS). It was found that the nanoscrew is composed of many small screw threads stacking along its length direction with small separations. Under external light excitation, strong electromagnetic coupling was initiated within the gaps, and many hot-spots formed on the surface of the nanoscrew, which was confirmed by high-resolution scanning near-field optical microscope measurements and numerical simulations using finite element method. These hotspots are responsible for the observed SERS activity of the nanoscrews. Raman mapping characterizations further revealed the excellent reproducibility of the SERS activity. 7Covalency triggers high catalytic activity of amorphous molybdenum oxides for oxidative desulfurization显示文摘Oxidative desulfurization(ODS)is a promising technology to produce clean fuel with requiring superior catalysts to lower kinetic barriers.Although most ODS catalysts are based on crystalline transition-metal oxides(TMOs),extraordinary activity also can be achieved with amorphous TMOs.However,the origin of the remarkable catalytic activity of the amorphous TMOs remains greatly ambiguous.Here,we found the crucial role of Mo–O covalency in ruling the intrinsic catalytic activity of amorphous molybdenum oxides(MoO_(x)).Experimental and theoretical analysis indicated that the nonequivalent connectivity in the amorphous structure strongly enhanced Mo–O covalency,thereby increasing the content of electrophilic oxygen and nucleophilic molybdenum to favor the MoO_(x)–H_(2)O_(2) interaction.With the boosted Mo–O covalency to improve the flexibility of the charge state,the amorphous MoO_(x)-based composite catalyst(PE-MoO_(x)/S-0.05)exhibited outstanding catalytic activity for ODS of fuel oil.The turnover frequency(TOF)value of the catalyst(18.63 h^(-1))was almost an order of magnitude higher than that of most reported crystalline MoO_(x)/molecular sieve composite catalysts.The in-depth understanding of the origin of the amorphous TMOs activity for ODS provides a valuable reference for developing ODS catalysts.Juncong Zou Yan Lin Chunping Yang 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,4:1
8Understanding the role of SST anomaly in extreme rainfall of 2020 Meiyu season from an interdecadal perspective显示文摘Extreme Meiyu rainfall in 2020,starting from early June to the end of July,has occurred over the Yangtze River valley(YRV),with record-breaking accumulated precipitation amount since 1961.The present study aims to examine the possible effect of sea surface temperature(SST)on the YRV rainfall in Meiyu season from the interdecadal perspective.The results indicate that YRV rainfall in June exhibits more significant variability on interdecadal time scale than that in July.The interdecadal-filtered atmospheric circulation in June,compared with the counterpart in July,shows a more predominant and better-organized Western North Pacific Anticyclone(WNPAC)anomaly,which could transport abundant moisture to the YRV by anomalous southwesterly prevailing in northwestern flank of anomalous WNPAC.Both observation and numerical experiment indicate that the interdecadal change of the SST anomaly in tropical western Indian Ocean(TWI)from preceding May to June can significantly affect the anomalous WNPAC,leading to enhanced YRV rainfall in June.The TWI SST anomaly shifts from a cold phase to a warm phase around the early 2000s,with a magnitude of 0.7°C in 2020,which implies that such interdecadal warming might partly contribute to the heavy rainfall in June 2020 by providing a large-scale favorable background flow.Yuanyuan GUO Ruijie ZHANG Zhiping WEN Juncong LI Chao Zhang Zijiang ZHOU 2021Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,10:1

13Effects of B_4C Addition on Properties of Al_2O_3-SiC-Si_3N_4 Castables for Iron Trough显示文摘Effects of B4C additions (0,0.2%,0.4%,and 0.6%) on cold physical properties and hot modulus of rupture of Al2O3-SiC-Si3N4 castables for iron trough were investigated. The phase composition and microstructure were analyzed by XRD and SEM. The results show that bulk density,cold strength,and hot modulus of rupture of the castables first increase and then decrease while apparent porosity first drops and then increases with B4C addition increasing. The optimum addition of B4C is 0.4%. B4C mainly contributes to sintering and antioxidation. Compared with the specimens without B4C,the specimens with B4C have more fibrous O'-SiAlON with larger length-diameter ratio. 15Recent Advances in Understanding Multi-scale Climate Variability of the Asian Monsoon显示文摘Studies of the multi-scale climate variability of the Asian monsoon are essential to an advanced understanding of the physical processes of the global climate system.In this paper,the progress achieved in this field is systematically reviewed,with a focus on the past several years.The achievements are summarized into the following topics:(1)the onset of the South China Sea summer monsoon;(2)the East Asian summer monsoon;(3)the East Asian winter monsoon;and(4)the Indian summer monsoon.Specifically,new results are highlighted,including the advanced or delayed local monsoon onset tending to be synchronized over the Arabian Sea,Bay of Bengal,Indochina Peninsula,and South China Sea;the basic features of the record-breaking mei-yu in 2020,which have been extensively investigated with an emphasis on the role of multi-scale processes;the recovery of the East Asian winter monsoon intensity after the early 2000s in the presence of continuing greenhouse gas emissions,which is believed to have been dominated by internal climate variability(mostly the Arctic Oscillation);and the accelerated warming over South Asia,which exceeded the tropical Indian Ocean warming,is considered to be the main driver of the Indian summer monsoon rainfall recovery since 1999.A brief summary is provided in the final section along with some further discussion on future research directions regarding our understanding of the Asian monsoon variability.Wen CHEN Renhe ZHANG Renguang WU Zhiping WEN Liantong ZHOU Lin WANG Peng HU Tianjiao MA Jinling PIAO Lei SONG Zhibiao WANG Juncong LI Hainan GONG Jingliang HUANGFU Yong LIU 2023Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,8:0
16Phase Evolution and Microstructure of C-AI System in Carbon-embedded Atmosphere显示文摘In order to investigate the phase evolution and microstructure of aluminum containing carbon composites,- 195 graphite flake and ≤0. 074 mm aluminum powders( Al 99%,in mass,the same hereinafter) were used as main starting materials. The mixture with 1 ∶ 1of graphite and aluminum was well mixed with additional 15% phenolic resin and then shaped in a hydraulic machine. The specimens were first dried at 250 ℃ for12 h,and then graphite-embedded fired at 800,1 000,1 200,1 400,and 1 600 ℃ for 3 h,respectively. XRD and SEM were used to characterize the phase compositions and section microstructure. The results show that at800 ℃ aluminum powder melts and reacts with carbon in resin forming granular Al4C3 at the edge of graphite;at 1 000 ℃,Al4C3 increases in amount and grows in volume,and AlN commences to form; at 1 200 ℃,some Al4C3 grows to tabular shape,and other Al4C3 nitridizes forming fibrous AlN; at 1 400 ℃,Al4C3 decreases because it is nitridized or oxidized forming fibrous AlN or Al2O3; at 1 600 ℃,Al4C3 disappears,AlN or Al2O3 gets big and coarse.WEI Juncong SUN Jialin 2014China's Refractories2014,23,3:0
17Effects of Nano-CaCO_(3)Addition on Properties of Corundum-based Dispersive Purging Plugs显示文摘In order to improve the properties of corundum based dispersive purging plugs,dispersive purging plug specimens were prepared using tabular corundum(1-0.15 and≤0.15 mm)as the aggregates,tabular corundum(≤0.044 mm)andα-Al_(2)O_(3)micropowder(d_(50)=0.6μm)as the matrix,Secar 71 cement as the binder,introducing different amounts of nano-CaCO_(3),casting into shapes,and firing at different temperatures(1200 or 1600℃)for 4 h.The effects of the nano-CaCO_(3) extra-addition(0,0.5%,1.0%,1.5%and 2.0%,by mass)on the consistency of the castables as well as the properties and microstructure of the dispersive purging plug specimens were studied.The results show that:(1)with the fixed water addition,the consistency of the corundum castables decreases as the nano-CaCO_(3)addition increases;(2)with the increasing nano-CaCO_(3)addition,the bulk density of the specimens fired at different temperatures for 4 h decreases,the apparent porosity,the cold strength and the hot modulus of rupture all increase,the gas permeability does not change significantly;(3)the specimens fired at 1600℃ for 4 h have obviously better cold comprehensive performance than those fired at 1200℃for 4 h;(4)when the nano-CaCO_(3)addition is 1.5%,the comprehensive performance of the specimen is the optimal.SU Yuqing ZHU Yening YU Baisong XI Zijian WEI Juncong TU Junbo ZHANG Houxing WANG Yilong 2023China's Refractories2023,32,4:0
18Low-cost and versatile integration of microwire electrodes and optical waveguides into silicone elastomeric devices using modified xurographic methods显示文摘Microelectrodes are used in microfluidic devices for a variety of purposes such as heating,applying electric fields,and electrochemical sensing.However,they are still manufactured by expensive deposition techniques such as sputtering or evaporation and patterned using photolithography methods.More recently,alternate methods including nanoparticle sintering and use of liquid metal flowing through microchannels have been used to fabricate microelectrodes.These methods are limited in the material choices or require post processing to be integrated into microchannels.Here we developed a low-cost and versatile method to integrate high-quality metal microwires into polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)using xurography.The microwire integration process includes cutting slit pattern on PDMS substrate and subsequent writing metal microwires into the slit pattern using a specialized tip.Then the microwire-integrated PDMS was sealed/bonded using uncured PDMS prepolymer.This method enables integration of metal microwires of diameter as small as 15μm into PDMS devices.Integration of multiple microwires with minimum spacing of 150μm has also been demonstrated.The versatility of this method is demonstrated by the fabrication of metal microwire suspended in the middle of the microchannel,which is difficult to achieve using conventional electrode fabrication methods.This low-cost method avoids expensive clean room fabrication yet producing high-quality electrodes and can be used in a variety of microfluidic and MEMS applications.Juncong Liu James B Mahony Ponnambalam Ravi Selvaganapathy 2017Microsystems & Nanoengineering2017,3,1:0

20Performance improvement of DBP-based solar cells by introducing a luminescent sensitizer bis[(4,6-difluorophenyl)-pyridinato-N,C^(2')]c(picolinate)iridium(III)(Flrpic)显示文摘In this work,a sky-blue luminescent down-shifting(LDS)layer bis[(4,6-difluorophenyl)-pyridinato-N,C^(2')]c(picolinate)iridium(II)(FIrpic)was inserted between tetraphenyl dibenzoperiflanthene(DBP)and Mo0_(3)as UV-screen and sensitizer for smallmolecule DBP/C_(60)based planar heterojunction(PHJ)solar cells.With 8-nm Flrpic theshort circuit current(J_(sc))and power conversion efficiency(PCE)of the device areenhanced by 28%and 15%,respectively,probably originating from the re-absorption ofthe photons emitted from Flrpic.The V_(oc)linearly increases over 1-nm Flrpic,ascribed tothe deeper HOMO level of Flrpic than DBP,while the fill factor continuously declines from 3-to 10-nm Flrpic.The EQE spectra prove that the J_(sc)is mainly contributed by thephotocurrent generated in DBP and C_(60)layers.When the FIrpic thickness is 8 nm,the filmsurface is very uniform with the smallest water contact angle.The impedance spectro-scopy demonstrates that the device resistance gradually increases from 4.1×10^(4)Ω(without Flrpic)to 4.6×10^(4)Ω(with 10-nm Flrpic)with the FIrpic thickness rise,simultaneously the device transits from the insulating state into the conductive statefaster for the thin Flrpic layer than the thick layer.Jie TANG Weiguang LI Juncong CHEN Yanqiong ZHENG Junbiao PENG Jianhua ZHANG Bin WEI Xifeng LI 2021Frontiers of Materials Science2021,15,1:0
