Land surface temperature retrieval for arid regions based on Landsat-8 TIRS data:a case study in Shihezi,Northwest China显示文摘Scientific interest in geophysical information about land surface temperature(LST) is ever increasing, as such information provides a base for a large number of applications, including environmental and agricultural monitoring. Therefore, the research of LST retrieval has become a hot topic. Recent availability of Landsat-8 satellite imagery provides a new data source for LST retrieval. Hence, exploring an adaptive method with reliable accuracy seems to be essential. In this study, basing on features of Landsat-8 TIRS thermal infrared channels, we re-calculated parameters in the atmospheric transmittance empirical models of the existing split-window algorithm, and estimated the ground emissivity with the help of the land cover classification map of the study area. Furthermore, a split-window algorithm was rebuilt by virtual of the estimation model of the updated atmospheric transmittance and the ground emissivity, and then a remote sensing retrieval for the LST of Shihezi city in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region of Northwest China was conducted on the basis of this modified algorithm. Finally, precision validation of the new model was implemented by using the MODIS LST products. The results showed that the LST retrieval from Landsat-8 TIRS data based on our algorithm has a higher credibility, and the retrieved LST is more consistent with the MODIS LST products. This indicated that the modified algorithm is suitable for retrieving LST with competitive accuracy. With higher resolutions, Landsat-8 TIRS data may provide more accurate observation for LST retrieval. | Lei YANG YunGang CAO XiaoHua ZHU ShengHe ZENG GuoJiang YANG JiangYong HE XiuChun YANG | 2014 | Journal of Arid Land2014,6,6: | 17
Stratigraphy and age of the Daohugou Bed in Ningcheng,Inner Mongolia显示文摘Recent fieldwork has extended the distribution of the Daohugou Bed deposits from the Daohugou Village to its several neighboring areas. The fossil-bearing Daohugou deposits uncomformably overlie complex bedrocks, and com- prise three major parts. The red shales in the lower part were misidentified as belonging to the Tuchengzi Formation. Field excavation has indicated that the shales of upper part of the bed are the major fossil-bearing horizon. Due to strong tectonic activities, sediments were often folded with the se- quences inverted in the region. Some newly recognized con- tacts between the Daohugou Bed and the volcanic rocks showed that the ignimbrite of the Tiaojishan Formation (159―164 Ma) underlies the Daohugou deposits, rather than overlying the latter as previously proposed. Thus, the age of the Daohugou deposits should be younger than the age of the ignimbrite, and thus it was incorrect to correlate the Dao- hugou Bed with the Middle Jurassic Jiulongshan Formation. Although biostratigraphic studies based on conchostracans and insects support a Middle Jurassic-early Late Jurassic age for the Daohugou deposits, vertebrate fossils such as Liaoxitriton, Jeholopterus and feathered maniraptorans show much resemblance to those of the Yixian Formation. In other words, despite the absence of Lycoptera, a typical fish of the Jehol Biota, the Daohugou vertebrate assemblage is closer to that of the Early Cretaceous Jehol Biota than to any other biota. We propose that the Daohugou fossil assemblage probably represents the earliest evolutionary stage of the Jehol Biota based on both vertebrate biostratigraphy and the sedimentological and volcanic features which suggest the Daohugou deposit belongs to the same cycle of volcanism and sedimentation as the Yixian Formation of the Jehol Group. | WANG Xiaolin ZHOU Zhonghe HE Huaiyu JIN Fan WANG Yuanqing ZHANG Jiangyong WANG Yuan XU Xing ZHANG Fucheng | 2005 | Chinese Science Bulletin2005,50,20: | 6
Fine relocation, mechanism, and tectonic indications of middle-small earthquakes in the Central Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The medium-small earthquakes that occurred in the middle part of Tibetan Plateau(32°N–36°N, 90°E–93°E) from August 2016 to June 2017 were relocated using the absolute earthquake location method Hypo2000. Compared to the reports of Chinese Seismological Networks, our relocation results are more clustered on the whole, the horizontal location differences exceed 10 km, and the focal depths are concentrated in 0–8 km, which indicates that the upper crust inside the Tibetan Plateau is tectonically active. In June2017 altogether eight earthquakes above magnitude 3.0 took place; their relocated epicenters are concentrated around Gêladaindong. The relocation results of M<3.0 small earthquakes also showed obvious differences. Therefore, we used the CAP method to invert for the focal mechanisms of the M ≥3.0 earthquakes; results generally tally with the surface geological structures, indicating that the Tibetan Plateau is still under the strong compressional force from the India Plate. Among them the eight earthquakes that occurred near Gêladaindong in June 2017 are all of normal fault type or with some strike-slip at the same time; based on previous research results we conjecture that these events are intense shallow crust responses to deep crust-mantle activities. | YuLan Li BaoShan Wang RiZheng He HongWei Zheng JiangYong Yan Yao Li | 2018 | Earth and Planetary Physics2018,2,5: | 4
The CXCR4-CXCL12 axis promotes T cell reconstitution via efficient hematopoietic immigration显示文摘T cells play a critical role in immunity to protect against pathogens and malignant cells.T cell immunodeficiency is detrimental, especially when T cell perturbation occurs during severe infection, irradiation, chemotherapy, and age-related thymic atrophy. Therefore, strategies that enhance T cell reconstitution provide considerable benefit and warrant intensive investigation. Here,we report the construction of a T cell ablation model in Tg(coro1a:Den NTR)zebrafish via metronidazole administration. The nascent T cells are mainly derived from the hematopoietic cells migrated from the kidney, the functional homolog of bone marrow and the complete recovery time is 6.5 days post-treatment.The cxcr4b gene is upregulated in the responsive hematopoietic cells.Functional interference of CXCR4 via both genetic and chemical manipulations does not greatly affect T lymphopoiesis, but delays T cell regeneration by disrupting hematopoietic migration. In contrast,cxcr4b accelerates the replenishment of hematopoietic cells in the thymus.Consistently,Cxcl12b,a ligand of Cxcr4,is increased in the thymic epithelial cells of the injured animals.Decreased or increased expression of Cxcl12b results in compromised or accelerated T cell recovery, respectively, similar to those observed with Cxcr4b.Taken together, our study reveals a role of CXCR4-CXCL12 signaling in promoting T cell recovery and provides a promising target for the treatment of immunodeficiency due to T cell injury. | Fangying Zhao Yafang Lu Zhifan Li Jiangyong He Nianfei Cui Lingfei Luo Li Li | 2022 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,12: | 1
Multi-Scale Superhydrophobic Anti-Icing Coating for Wind Turbine Blades显示文摘As a surface functional material,super-hydrophobic coating has great application potential in wind turbine blade anti-icing,self-cleaning and drag reduction. In this study,ZnO and SiO2 multi-scale superhydrophobic coatings with mechanical flexibility were prepared by embedding modified ZnO and SiO2 nanoparticles in PDMS.The prepared coating has a higher static water contact angle(CA is 153°)and a lower rolling angle(SA is 3.3°),showing excellent super-hydrophobicity.Because of its excellent superhydrophobic ability and micro-nano structure, the coating has good anti-icing ability.Under the conditions of−10C and 60%relative humidity, the coating can delay the freezing time by 1511S,which is 10.7 times slower than the normal freezing time.More importantly, due to the mechanical properties provided by SiO2 and the synergistic effect of micro-nano particles, the coating has excellent mechanical durability. After 10 wear tests, the contact angle of the coating is still as high as 141°and the rolling angle is 6.8°.This research provides a theoretical reference for the preparation of a mechanically stable coating with a simple preparation process,as well as a basic research on the anti-icing behavior of the coating. | Jiangyong Bao Jianjun He Biao Chen Kaijun Yang Jun Jie Ruifeng Wang Shihao Zhang | 2021 | Energy Engineering2021,118,4: | 1
LncRNA FPASL suppresses fibroblast proliferation through its DNA methylation via DNMT3b in hypertrophic scar显示文摘Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)are increasingly being implicated as key regulators of cell proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation. However, the molecular mechanisms of specific lncRNAs in the context of hypertrophic scar remain largely unclear. Here,we find that the lncRNA FPASL(fibroblast proliferation-associated LncRNA)is downregulated in HS,and FPASL reduces fibroblast proliferation and colony formation and blocks cell cycle progression.Using GO annotation enrichment analysis along with AZC(a specific inhibitor of DNA methylation),we identify that DNA methylation is responsible for downregulating FPASL in hypertrophic scar.Subsequent studies demonstrate that high expression of DNMT3b inhibits FPASL expression in HS.Mechanistic study reveals a significant increase in fibroblast proliferation after transfection with LNA-FPASL,which is further inhibited by knockdown of DNMT3b.Thus,our study reveals that DNMT3b mediates hypermethylation of the lncRNA FPASL promoter and the downregulation of lncRNA FPASL promotes fibroblast proliferation in hypertrophic scar. | Kai Wu Fang Ma Jiangyong Shen Hui Zhang Yu Wan Xi He Anning Yang Jiantuan Xiong Yun jiao Zhigang Bai Shengchao Ma Yideng Jiang Huiping Zhang Yinju Hao | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,12: | 0
Tunable and narrow linewidth multi-wavelength Brillouin-erbium fiber laser using dual-wavelength pumping显示文摘We demonstrate a multi-wavelength Brillouin-erbium fiber laser(BEFL)with narrow linewidth and tunable wavelength interval using dual-wavelength Brillouin pumping. The generation of multi-wavelength output in BEFL is based on the combination of stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS)and four-wave mixing(FWM)effect in a fiber cavity. The tunable wavelength interval is determined by the artificially controlled wavelength interval of the pumping lasers. The BEFL could compress a 1 MHz pump laser to a 340 Hz Brillouin Stokes laser, which proves the BEFL has excellent capability of linewidth compression. An erbium-doped fiber pumped by 980 nm laser is inserted into the cavity to further amplify the Brillouin laser. The wideband multi-wavelength BEFL covering over 50 nm is successfully generated when the 980 nm pump power is 400 mW.These features of multi-wavelength BEFL provide an effective method for optical communication systems and optical fiber sensing. | ZHU Kaiyan HE Jiangyong CHANG Kun XING Dengke LIU Yange WANG Zhi | 2022 | Optoelectronics Letters2022,18,6: | 0
Sub-terahertz-repetition-rate frequency comb generated by filter-induced instabilities in passive driven fiber resonators显示文摘Ultrahigh-repetition-rate frequency comb generation exhibits great potential in applications of optical waveform synthesis, direct comb spectroscopy, and high capacity telecommunications. Here we present the theoretical investigations of a filter-induced instability mechanism in passive driven fiber resonators with a wide range of cavity dispersion regimes. In this novel concept of modulation instability, coherent frequency combs are demonstrated numerically with rates up to sub-terahertz level. Floquet stability analysis based on the Ikeda map is utilized to understand the physical origin of the filter-induced instability. Comparison with the well-known Benjamin–Feir instability and parametric instability is performed, revealing the intrinsic distinction in the family of modulation instabilities. Our investigations might benefit the development of ultrahigh-repetition-rate frequency comb generation, providing an alternative method for the microresonators. | Pan Wang Jiangyong He Xiaosheng Xiao Zhi Wang Yange Liu | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,2: | 0
Alterations in immune cell heterogeneities in the brain of aged zebrafish using single-cell resolution显示文摘Immunocytes, including the microglia, are crucial in the neurodegenerative process in old people. However, the understanding regarding microglia heterogeneity and other involved immunocytes remains elusive. We analyzed 26,456 immunocytes from 12-and 26-month-old zebrafish brains at single-cell resolution.Microglia and T lymphocytes were detected in the brain at both time points. Two types of microglia were annotated, namely,ac+microglia and xr+microglia, which were clustered into subsets 1,2,3,4,5,and subsets 6,7,8,9,respectively.Diversified microglia predominated the adult brains and cooperated with T cells to perform the functions of immune response and neuronal nutrition. We validated the specific microglia markers. The novel transgenic lines,Tg(lgals3bpb:e GFP)and Tg(apoc1:e GFP),were created, which faithfully labeled ac+microglia and served as valuable labeling tools. However, the microglia population reduced while T cells of six subtypes intriguingly increased to serve as the primary immune cells in aged brains.Unlike in 12-month-old brains,T cells, together with microglia, exhibited a coordinated signature of inflammation in the 26-month-old brains. Our findings revealed the immunocytes atlas in aged zebrafish brains. It implied the involvement of microglia and T cells in the progression of neurodegeneration in aging. | Jiangyong He Fangying Zhao Bingyue Chen Nianfei Cui Zhifan Li Jie Qin Lingfei Luo Congjian Zhao Li Li | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,6: | 0
FREPD: A Robust Federated Learning Framework on Variational Autoencoder显示文摘Federated learning is an ideal solution to the limitation of not preser-ving the users’privacy information in edge computing. In federated learning, the cloud aggregates local model updates from the devices to generate a global model. To protect devices’privacy, the cloud is designed to have no visibility into how these updates are generated, making detecting and defending malicious model updates a challenging task.Unlike existing works that struggle to tolerate adversarial attacks, the paper manages to exclude malicious updates from the glo-bal model’s aggregation. This paper focuses on Byzantine attack and backdoor attack in the federated learning setting. We propose a federated learning frame-work,which we call Federated Reconstruction Error Probability Distribution(FREPD).FREPD uses a VAE model to compute updates’reconstruction errors.Updates with higher reconstruction errors than the average reconstruction error are deemed as malicious updates and removed.Meanwhile,we apply the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to choose a proper probability distribution function and tune its parameters to fit the distribution of reconstruction errors from observed benign updates. We then use the distribution function to estimate the probability that an unseen reconstruction error belongs to the benign reconstruction error distribution.Based on the probability,we classify the model updates as benign or malicious.Only benign updates are used to aggregate the global model.FREPD is tested with extensive experiments on independent and identically distributed(IID)and non-IID federated benchmarks, showing a competitive performance over existing aggregation methods under Byzantine attack and backdoor attack. | Zhipin Gu Liangzhong He Peiyan Li Peng Sun Jiangyong Shi Yuexiang Yang | 2021 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2021,39,12: | 0
