A hybrid multi-degree-of-freedom vibration isolation platform for spacecrafts by the linear active disturbance rejection control显示文摘The hybrid vibration isolation, which takes advantages of both the passive and active approaches, has been an important solution for space missions. The objective of this paper is to design a vibration isolation platform for payloads on spacecrafts with the robust, wide bandwidth, and multi-degree-of-freedom(MDOF). The proposed solution is based on a parallel mechanism with six voice-coil motors(VCMs) as the actuators. The linear active disturbance resistance control(LADRC) algorithm is used for the active control. Numerical simulation results show that the vibration isolation platform performs effectively over a wide bandwidth, and the resonance introduced by the passive isolation is eliminated. The system robustness to the uncertainties of the structure is also verified by simulation.Weichao CHI S.J.MA J.Q.SUN 2020Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2020,41,5:5
A highly-efficient method for stationary response of multi-degree-of-freedom nonlinear stochastic systems显示文摘Analytical and numerical studies of multi-degree-of-freedom(MDOF) nonlinear stochastic or deterministic dynamic systems have long been a technical challenge. This paper presents a highly-efficient method for determining the stationary probability density functions(PDFs) of MDOF nonlinear systems subjected to both additive and multiplicative Gaussian white noises. The proposed method takes advantages of the sufficient conditions of the reduced Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov(FPK) equation when constructing the trial solution. The assumed solution consists of the analytically constructed trial solutions satisfying the sufficient conditions and an exponential polynomial of the state variables, and delivers a high accuracy of the solution because the analytically constructed trial solutions capture the main characteristics of the nonlinear system. We also make use of the concept from the data-science and propose a symbolic integration over a hypercube to replace the numerical integrations in a higher-dimensional space, which has been regarded as the insurmountable difficulty in the classical method of weighted residuals or stochastic averaging for high-dimensional dynamic systems. Three illustrative examples of MDOF nonlinear systems are analyzed in detail. The accuracy of the numerical results is validated by comparison with the Monte Carlo simulation(MCS) or the available exact solution. Furthermore, we also show the substantial gain in the computational efficiency of the proposed method compared with the MCS.Lincong CHEN J.Q.SUN 2020Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2020,41,6:0
Novel method for random vibration analysis of single-degree-of-freedom vibroimpact systems with bilateral barriers显示文摘The vibroimpact systems with bilateral barriers are often encountered in practice. However, the dynamics of the vibroimpact system with bilateral barriers is full of challenges.Few closed-form solutions were obtained. In this paper,we propose a novel method for random vibration analysis of single-degree-of-freedom(SDOF)vibroim-pact systems with bilateral barriers under Gaussian white noise excitations.A periodic approximate transformation is employed to convert the equations of the motion to a con-tinuous form. The probabilistic description of the system is subsequently defined through the corresponding Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov(FPK)equation.The closed-form station-ary probability density function(PDF)of the response is obtained by solving the reduced FPK equation and using the proposed iterative method of weighted residue together with the concepts of the circulatory probability flow and the potential probability flow. Finally, the versatility of the proposed approach is demonstrated by its application to two typical examples.Note that the solution obtained by using the proposed method can be used as the benchmark to examine the accuracy of approximate solutions obtained by other methods.Lincong CHEN Haisheng ZHU J.Q.SUN 2019Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2019,40,12:0
Random vibration of hysteretic systems under Poisson white noise excitations显示文摘Hysteresis widely exists in civil structures, and dissipates the mechanical energy of systems.Research on the random vibration of hysteretic systems, however,is still insufficient, particularly when the excitation is non-Gaussian.In this paper, the radial basis function(RBF)neural network(RBF-NN)method is adopted as a numerical method to investigate the random vibration of the Bouc-Wen hysteretic system under the Poisson white noise excitations. The solution to the reduced generalized Fokker-PlanckKolmogorov(GFPK)equation is expressed in terms of the RBF-NNs with the Gaussian activation functions, whose weights are determined by minimizing the loss function of the reduced GFPK equation residual and constraint associated with the normalization condition.A steel fiber reinforced ceramsite concrete(SFRCC)column loaded by the Poisson white noise is studied as an example to illustrate the solution process. The effects of several important parameters of both the system and the excitation on the stochastic response are evaluated, and the obtained results are compared with those obtained by the Monte Carlo simulations(MCSs).The numerical results show that the RBF-NN method can accurately predict the stationary response with a considerable high computational efficiency.Lincong CHEN Zi YUAN Jiamin QIAN J.Q.SUN 2023Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2023,44,2:0
A subspace expanding technique for global zero finding of multi-degree-of-freedom nonlinear systems显示文摘A subspace expanding technique(SET) is proposed to efficiently discover and find all zeros of nonlinear functions in multi-degree-of-freedom(MDOF) engineering systems by discretizing the space into smaller subdomains, which are called cells. The covering set of the cells is identified by parallel calculations with the root bracketing method. The covering set can be found first in a low-dimensional subspace, and then gradually extended to higher dimensional spaces with the introduction of more equations and variables into the calculations. The results show that the proposed SET is highlyefficient for finding zeros in high-dimensional spaces. The subdivision technique of the cell mapping method is further used to refine the covering set, and the obtained numerical results of zeros are accurate. Three examples are further carried out to verify the applicability of the proposed method, and very good results are achieved. It is believed that the proposed method will significantly enhance the ability to study the stability, bifurcation, and optimization problems in complex MDOF nonlinear dynamic systems.Zigang LI Jun JIANG LingHONG J.Q.SUN 2020Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2020,41,5:0
