| 1 | Carbon and Strontium Isotopes of Late Palaeozoic Marine Carbonates in the Upper Yangtze Platform,Southwest China显示文摘238 marine carbonate samples were collected from seven sedimentary sections ofthe entire late Palaeozoic (Permian, Carboniferous and Devonian) in the Upper Yangtze Plat-form, southwest China. Based on the absence of cathodoluminescence and very low Mn (gener-ally<50 ppm) contents of the samples, it is thought that they contain information on the orig-inal sea water geochemistry. The results of isotopic analyses of these samples are presented interms of δ13C and 87Sr/86Sr ratios versus geological time. The strontium data, consistent withother similar data based on samples from North America, Europe, Africa and other areas inAsia, support the notion of a global consistency in strontium isotope composition of marinecarbonates. The strontium data exhibit three intervals of relatively low 87Sr/86Sr ratios in thelate Middle Devonian to early Late Devonian, Early Carboniferous and Early Permian, corre-sponding to global eustatic high sea level stands. The lowest 87Sr/86Sr ratio recorded in theLate Permian was probably caused by substantial basalt eruptions in the Upper Yangtze Plat-form at the time. Three corresponding periods of relatively high δ13C values at roughly the samethe intervals were caused by a relatively high rate of accumulation of organic carbon duringsea level rises at these times. The deposition of coal was probably responsible for the increaseof sea water δ13C at other times. The δ13C values drop dramatically near theDevonian/Carboniferous, Carboniferous/Permian and Permian/Triassic boundaries, con-sistent with other similar data, which further support the notion that geological time boundariesare associated with mass extinction and subsequent rejuvenation. | Huang Sijing and Zhou Shaohua State Key Laboratory of Oil and Gas Reservoir Geology and Exploitation,Chengdu University of Technology, Chengdu, 610059, Sichuan, China Geological Institute, University of Copenhagen, Oster Voldgade 10,DK-1350 Copenhagen K,Denmark | 1997 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)1997,71,3: | 11 |
| 2 | Computer Aided Simulation on Precision Cold Forging of Universal Joint Cross显示文摘The 3D FEM numerical simulation on multi-action precision cold forging technology of universal joint cross and differential spider is done in this article using DEFORM Software, a commercial computer aided engineering software specializing in forming and heat treatment simulation technology, and suitable for cold, warm and hot forging process. The material flow properties, the dynamic variation of stress and strain in the process of deformation and the load-stroke curve have also been achieved. A good consistency is exhibited between simulation results and practical data. Based on the DEFORM simulation results, the optimized procedure has been found for forging a universal joint cross. What should be emphasized here is that a better understanding of practical forging characters and the environmental factors can greatly improve the simulation accuracy thus make the simulation results more reliable. | H. | 3 | STUDY ON URBAN LAND SAVING IN THE ECONOMICDEVELOPED COASTAL REGION OF CHINA显示文摘In the initial period of industrialization a great deal of land is needed for Chinese industry development as well as land resource per person of China is much lower than the average value in the world, thus it is necessary to save land in Chinese urban constrUction. This paper mainly discussed the features of urban land use in economic developed coastal cities: one is that the index of urban land per person in middle-small cities was higher than in large cities; another is that urban land has not been used highly and strongly; the third is that the industrial land occupied an irrationally large percentage of whole urban land; the final is that rural enterprises took up a quantity of land. Thereafter, this paper put forward five land-saving measures: first, to adopt the idea of saving land; next, to adjust the land-use structure when redeveloping the old city and alternate some land use when adjusting the industry structure of the city; the third, to develop the system of payment for using land and the management of urban planning; finally to enhance the effective regional plan and the urban landuse plan. | SHEN Jian-rong, CHEN Shuang, YAO Shi-mou (Department of Urban and Resources Science, Nanjing University, Nanjing 210093, P. | 4 | THE HYDROLOGICAL EFFECT UNDER HUMAN ACTIVITIESIN THE INLAND WATERSHEDS OF XINJIANG, CHINA显示文摘Natural environment, inland water distribution and water circulation has been changed greatly affected by human activities in Xinjiang, China. Human activities developed quickly in the inland watersheds in Xinjiang after 1950. More than 50% of river water is drawn into irrigation area, and all water in parts of little river is drawn to canal or reservoirs. However, there is evident hydrological effect caused by human activities. 1) water distribution in arid land has changed. A lot of river wa- ter is drawn into oasis and water table inside of oasis has risen but declined out of oasis. However, water table has declined in some cities because of over pumping for groundwater. 2) Stream process has changed after water drawing and drainage for irriga- tion. Runoff in the lower reaches of river has generally decreased, and the lower reaches of some rivers are even disappeared for stream. 3) Large watersheds have been divided into several small watersheds. In some tributaries, most of the river water has drawn to irrigation area so that stream in the lower reaches has disappeared for years. 4) Evaporation at oasis has increased from 50 - 200mm/a to 800 - 1300mm/a after reclamation. But it decreased to 50mm/a or less out of oasis. Some lakes have reduced or dried. Water system with canals and reservoirs has appeared in the oases. 5) Water quality of inland rivers and lakes has generally deteriorated because it accepts drainage water from farmland and factories. 6) Effective scale of human activities on hydrological process in arid land has expanded from separate rivers to all watersheds; from surface water to groundwater; from drought season to flood season; and from single year to several years. scale of the effect of human activities to hydrological pro- cess is going larger and larger. Along with the effective usage of water resources in the inland watershed in Xinjiang, the tydro- logical effect of human activities will be mainly change to: 1) river in pain area will be canalized; 2) stream process will be con- trolled by human being; 3)lakes in plain area will degenerate; 4) water will be salty in the lower reaches of river. How ever, hy- drological condihons in Xinjiang will be better to water using and to natural environment. | LI Xin, JI Fang, ZHOU Hong-fei (Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Urumqi 830011, P. | 6 | Effect of Molecular Weight and Structure on Antitumor Activity of Oxidized Chitosan显示文摘Various low molecular weight chitosans were prepared by oxidative degradation with H 2O 2, and characterized by IR, 13C-NMR and gel permeation chromatography. Their carboxylic contents increased with decrease in molecular weight (M w). The antitumor test of the samples against sarcoma 180 tumors suggested that the water-soluble chitosan with higher M w have higher inhibitory ratio in vivo. The introduction of carboxylic group is advantage to water-solubility of chitosan, but more acidic groups might decrease the function of amino groups of chitosan against sarcoma 180 tumor. | Qin Cai-qin 1,3, Du Yu-min 1*k, Xiao Ling 1, Gao Xiao-hai 2, Zhou Ji-lan 2, Liu Hui-lan 2 1. | 17 | Numerical Simulation of Coupled Thermo-mechanical Behavior of a Cylinder Billet during Hot-forging Process显示文摘A finite volume method is applied to simulate a closed die hot forging process of a cylinder billet. Since variation and distribution of temperature play very important role in hot forging, the code involves a methodology of a coupled system of mechanical and thermal equations. The simulated results are compared with the experimental ones. The distribution of temperature in the billet obtained from the simulation is also discussed. | Peiran Ding, Don g-Ying Ju, Shoji Imatani, Tatsuo Inoue 1.Engineering Services Department, MSC Japan Ltd., Osaka, Japan 2.Department of Mechanical Engineering, Saitama Institute of Technology, Saitama, Japan 3.Department of Energy Conversion Science, K | 2000 | Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong university(Science)2000,5,1: | 0 |
| 18 | Computer Based Simulation Maturation in Y2K显示文摘Simulation of physical phenomena on computers has joined engineering mechanics theory and laboratory experimentation as the third method of engineering analysis design. It is in fact the only feasible method for analyzing many critically important phenomena, e.g., quenching, heat treating, full scale phenomena, etc. With the rapid maturation of inexpensive parallel computing technology, and high performance communications, there will emerge shortly a totally new, highly interactive computing/simulation environment supporting engineering design optimization. This environment will exist on Internet employing interoperable software/hardware infrastructures emergent today. A key element of this will involve development of computational software enabling utilization of all HPCC advances. This paper introduces the concept and details the development of a user-adapted computational simulation software platform prototype for Y2K. | K L. Wong , A. J. | 20 | Genetic Diversity of Three Aristichthys nobilis Populations and One Inbreeding Stock显示文摘Genetic diversity of three Aristichthys nobilis populations and one inbreeding stock was studied using random amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD)method. Materials of natural populations were collected from two counties of Guangxi Province, Hengxian (NH) and Shanglin (NS) and one city of Hubei Province, Wuhan city.(NW). Shanglin and Hengxian’s river system respectively belongs to Qianjiang and Yujiang River, two tributaries confluencing to Xunjiang River, main tributary of Xijiang River, which is the biggest tributary of the Zhujiang River system, and Wuhan’s water system belongs to the Yangtse River system. The inbreeding stock (RS) was the more than 10 generation descendant by brother-sister mating system whose parents were collected from Shanglin. The results showed that the genetic variety of individuals of RS was very low (0.105 4), whereas that of natural populations was relatively high, which from high to low was 0.158 1 (NW), 0.132 0 (NH) and 0.110 5 (NS). As an index for genetic distance pair-wise populations, the genetic variety between populations was studied, which characterized the genetic distance between populations. The genetic distance of NW and NH, NW and NS, NW and RS were respectively high, whereas that of NH and NS, NS and RS, NH and RS was low. Chi-test(χ 2) and the analysis of the genetic variety pair-wise populations was taken as efficient approach for studying population difference. | Wang He 1,Deng Feng-jiao 1*k,Yu Lai-ning 2, Fang Yao-ling 2,Zhang Xi-yuan 1, Xiang fang 1 1.
