| 1 | Experimental study on interaction between a positive mass and a negative effective mass through a mass–spring system显示文摘We investigate the interaction between a positive mass and a negative effective mass through a threemass chain connected with elastic springs, a pair of masses is designed to have an effective negative mass, and it interacts with the third positive one as if an equivalent two-mass chain. The dynamics of the equivalent two-mass chain shows that the two bodies may be self-accelerated in same direction when the effective mass becomes negative, the experiment is also conducted to demonstrate this type of motion.We further show that the energy principle(Hamilton's principle) is applicable if the energy of the negative mass unit is properly characterized. | 4 | Establishment of a diatom-total phosphorus transfer function for lakes on the Songnen Plain in northeast China显示文摘To understand the relationship between planktonic diatoms and environmental variables in the lakes on the Songnen Plain,northeast(NE)China,we investigated water quality and planktonic diatoms from 71 sampling points in 27 lakes,based on which Canonical Correspondence Analysis(CCA)was conducted.The result show that planktonic diatoms displayed certain responses to environment gradients,and the total phosphorus(TP)explained the maximum variation of planktonic diatom species among the 15 environmental variables,suggesting that TP was the most important and significant environmental parameter affecting the distribution of diatom species.In addition,we established a diatom-total phosphorus transfer(DTPT)function,of which component 5 of the weighted averaging partial least squares regression(WAPLS)was chosen to and compared with a series of weighted average regression(WA)models and WA-PLS models.According to the jackknifing statistical test,the component 5 of WA-PLS models provided a lower root-mean-square error prediction(RMSEP=0.202)and a higher correlation coefficient between observation and prediction(R^2_Jack=0.759).After deletion of three outliers,the root-mean-square error prediction of the DTPT function was reduced(RMSEP=0.169)while the correlation coefficient between observation and prediction was increased(R^2_Jack=0.823).Therefore,this DTPT function performed better than other regional TP models in the world.However,it remains demanding for expanding the background dataset to improve the prediction ability of the model. | SUI Fengyang ZANG Shuying FAN Yawen LU Xinxin HUI Hongkuan | 2020 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,6: | 1 |

| 10 | Correlation of ARNTL2 with Immune Infiltration and Its Role as a Potential Prognostic Biomarker in Lung Adenocarcinoma显示文摘Background:ARNTL2 is a core component of the circadian clock genes and plays regulatory roles in the cell cycle and immune infiltration,but its mechanism in lung cancer(LC)remains unclear.Objective:To investigate the clinical and therapeutic value of ARNTL2 in LC.Methods:The Oncomine and Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia(CCLE)databases were adopted for assessing the ARNTL2 expression,after which the Kaplan-Meier plotter and Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis 2(GEPIA2)databases were used to assess the correlation of ARNTL2 with prognosis.The univariate and multi-variate Cox regression analyses were utilized to identify independent prognostic factors.Also,we explored how ARNTL2 expression is related to immune infiltration,and immunomodulators in non-small lung cancer(NSCLC)using the Tumor Immune Estimation Resource(TIMER)database,TISIDB database and Gene Set Enrichment Analysis(GSEA).Finally,coexpression of ARNTL2 and PD-L1 in lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)was verified via immunofluorescence staining and COXPRESdb v7 database.Results:Our study demonstrated a remarkable upregulated expression of ARNTL2 in multiple cell lines and can-cers,including NSCLC.Prognostic analysis displayed a remarkable correlation between high ARNTL2 expression and unfavorable overall survival(OS)and first progressive(FP)survival among patients ailing from LUAD,and ARNTL2 was an independent predictor of prognosis for LUAD patients.GSEA analysis showed that overexpres-sion of ARNTL2 was significantly linked with cell cycle and immunity.Furthermore,we reported a correlation of ARNTL2 expression with immunomodulators and lymphocytes.Immunofluorescence staining revealed that ARNTL2 and PD-L1 were elevated relative to normal tissue for LUAD,and colocalization of them was observed.Conclusion:Elevated ARNTL2 expression in LUAD revealed the prognostic values and its prospective role as a target for cell cycle and immune therapy. | Junjie Pan Hongkuan Yang Lihong Zhu Yafang Lou | 2021 | Clinical Complementary Medicine and Pharmacology2021,1,1: | 0 |
| 11 | Comparison of Metabolic Profiling of Arabidopsis Inflorescences Between Landsberg erecta and Columbia,and Meiosis-Defective Mutants by ^(1)H-NMR Spectroscopy显示文摘With the rapid development of omics technologies during the last several decades,genomics,transcriptomics,and proteomics have been extensively used to characterize gene or protein functions in many organisms at the cell or tissue level.However,metabolomics has not been conducted in reproductive organs,with a focus on meiosis in plants.In this study,we adopted a nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)-based metabolomics approach to reveal the metabolic profile of inflorescences from two Arabidopsis accessions,Columbia(Col)and Landsberg erecta(Ler),and several sterile mutants caused by meiosis defects.We identified 68 dominant metabolites in the samples.Col and Ler displayed distinct metabolite profiles.Interest-ingly,mutants with similar meiotic defects,such as Atrad51-3,Atrfc1-2,and Atpol2a-2,exhibited similar alterations in metabolites,including upregulation of energy metabolites and promotion of compounds related to maintenance of genomic stability,cytoplasmic homeostasis,and membrane integrity.The collective data reveal distinct changes in metabolites in Arabidopsis inflorescences between the Col and Ler wild type accessions.NMR-based metabolomics could be an effective tool for molecular phenotyping in studies of aspects of plant reproductive development such as meiosis. | Xiang Li Hongkuan Wang Ying Wang Limin Zhang Yingxiang Wang | 2021 | Phenomics2021,1,2: | 0 |
