| 1 | Hierarchical Ag-SiO_2@Fe_3O_4magnetic composites for elemental mercury removal from non-ferrous metal smelting flue gas显示文摘Hierarchical Ag-SiO_2@Fe_3O_4 magnetic composites were selected for elemental mercury(Hg^0) removal from non-ferrous metal smelting flue gas in this study. Results showed that the hierarchical Ag-SiO_2@Fe_3O_4 magnetic composites had favorable Hg^0 removal ability at low temperature. Moreover, the adsorption capacity of hierarchical magnetic composite is much larger than that of pure Fe_3O_4 and SiO_2@Fe_3O_4. The Hg^0 removal efficiency reached the highest value as approximately 92% under the reaction temperature of 150°C, while the removal efficiency sharply reduced in the absence of O_2. The characterization results indicated that Ag nanoparticles grew on the surface of SiO_2@Fe_3O_4 support. The large surface area of SiO_2 supplied efficient reaction room for Hg and Ag atoms. Ag–Hg amalgam is generated on the surface of the composites. | 2 | EBAA: An efficient broadcast authentication scheme for ADS-B communication based on IBS-MR显示文摘Automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast(ADS-B) systems can broadcast satellitebased aircraft position, identification, etc., periodically, and are now on track to replace radar to become the backbone of next-generation air traffic management(ATM) systems. However,ADS-B systems suffer severe cyber-security problems due to the broadcast-type data link and the lack of designed-in security measures. Especially, since ADS-B messages are unauthenticated, it is easy to insert fake aircraft into a system via spoofing or insertion of false messages. Unfortunately, the authentication for ADS-B messages has not yet been well studied. In this paper, based on identity-based signature with message recovery(IBS-MR), an efficient broadcast authentication scheme for ADS-B messages is proposed. The security analysis demonstrates that the scheme can achieve authenticity and integrity of ADS-B broadcast messages, as well as adaptive evolution of broadcasters' private keys. The performance evaluation shows that the scheme is computationally efficient for typical avionics devices with limited resources. | 3 | Absorption characteristics of elemental mercury in mercury chloride solutions显示文摘Elemental mercury(Hg0) in flue gases can be efficiently captured by mercury chloride(Hg Cl2) solution. However, the absorption behaviors and the influencing effects are still poorly understood. The mechanism of Hg0 absorption by Hg Cl2 and the factors that control the removal were studied in this paper. It was found that when the mole ratio of Cl-to Hg Cl2 is 10:1, the Hg0 removal efficiency is the highest. Among the main mercury chloride species,Hg Cl3-is the most efficient ion for Hg0 removal in the Hg Cl2 absorption system when moderate concentrations of chloride ions exist. The Hg0 absorption reactions in the aqueous phase were investigated computationally using Moller–Plesset perturbation theory. The calculated Gibbs free energies and energy barriers are in excellent agreement with the results obtained from experiments. In the presence of SO32-and SO2, Hg2+reduction occurred and Hg0 removal efficiency decreased. The reduced Hg0 removal can be controlled through increased chloride concentration to some degree. Low p H value in Hg Cl2 solution enhanced the Hg0 removal efficiency, and the effect was more significant in dilute Hg Cl2 solutions. | 4 | Influence of urban morphological parameters on the distribution and diffusion of air pollutants: A case study in China显示文摘Air pollution has a serious fallout on human health,and the influences of the different urban morphological characteristics on air pollutants cannot be ignored.In this study,the relation-ship between urban morphology and air quality(wind speed,CO,and PM_(2.5))in residential neighborhoods at the meso-microscale was investigated.The changes in the microclimate and pollutant diffusion distribution in the neighborhood under diverse weather conditions were simulated by Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD).This study identified five key urban morphological parameters(Building Density,Average Building Height,Standard Deviation of Building Height,Mean Building Volume,and Degree of Enclosure)which significantly im-pacted the diffusion and distribution of pollutants in the neighborhood.The findings of this study suggested that three specific strategies(e.g.volume of a single building should be re-duced,DE should be increased)and one comprehensive strategy(the width and height of the single building should be reduced while the number of single buildings should be in-creased)could be illustrated as an optimized approach of urban planning to relief the air pollution.The result of the combined effects could provide a reference for mitigating air pollution in sustainable urban environments. | Zhiwen Jiang Haomiao Cheng Peihao Zhang Tianfang Kang | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,7: | 3 |

| 6 | VIBRATION SUPPRESSION OF CANTILEVER LAMINATED COMPOSITE PLATE WITH NONLINEAR GIANT MAGNETOSTRICTIVE MATERIAL LAYERS显示文摘In this paper, a nonlinear and coupled constitutive model for giant magnetostrictive materials(GMM) is employed to predict the active vibration suppression process of cantilever laminated composite plate with GMM layers. The nonlinear and coupled constitutive model has great advantages in demonstrating the inherent and complicated nonlinearities of GMM in response to applied magnetic field under variable bias conditions(pre-stress and bias magnetic field).The Hamilton principle is used to derive the nonlinear and coupled governing differential equation for a cantilever laminated composite plate with GMM layers. The derived equation is handled by the finite element method(FEM) in space domain, and solved with Newmark method and an iteration process in time domain. The numerical simulation results indicate that the proposed active control system by embedding GMM layers in cantilever laminated composite plate can efficiently suppress vibrations under variable bias conditions. | 7 | Enhanced simultaneous absorption of NO_(x) and SO_(2) in oxidation-reduction-absorption process with a compounded system based on Na_(2)SO_(3)显示文摘Oxidation of sulfite and competitive absorption existed in Na_(2)SO_(3) solution for simultaneous removal of NO_(x) and SO_(2),inhibited the long-term high-efficiency when used for practical applications.A matching strategy was developed to solve these problems.Antioxidants combination was used to retard the oxidation of antioxidant and enhance inhibition of S(IV)(tetravalent sulfur)oxidation.Hydroquinone(HQ)and sodium thiosulfate(ST)showed a positive synergistic effect on inhibition of S(IV)oxidation.When SO_(2) concentration was 500 and 2000 ppmV,the addition of 0.1 wt.%HQ and 1 wt.%ST decreased the percentage of S(IV)oxidized by oxygen by over 30%and 40%,respectively.Alkali(Na_(2)CO_(3))alleviated the competitive absorption between NO_(x) and SO_(2).Moreover,Na_(2)CO_(3) exhibited an enhancement effect on the absorption of NO_(x) and SO_(2) when coupled with anti-oxidants.While the increase of oxygen pressure accelerated the oxidation of S(IV),the anti-oxidants can retard the oxidation.The measurement of pH suggested the removal efficiency of NO_(x) highly depended on SO_(3)^(2-) concentration rather than pH.The further investigation of the mechanism suggested the match effect was related to the interaction between ST and the intermediate product of HQ.The match strategy holds a potential for application of SO_(3)^(2-) to denitration. | Sichao Li Wenjun Huang Haomiao Xu Kai Liu Jia-nan Wang Yaning Sun Zan Qu Naiqiang Yan | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,1: | 2 |
